Stopped for a break here along the way of our bike trip. 14 riders and they handled us very well. Very friendly gal serving us. Good selection of beer and other specialty drinks for hot days. Nice atmosphere with tall tables and lower tables to choose from to your liking. Lots of parking on front street when we were there. Enjoyed the stop in this little town.

The waitresses are horrible service is extremely slow if at all. On previous visits we have had to hold up our menus to get to order or have walked out to go to another town to eat. We waited for our server to come back and watched 2 other tables walk in, get served and have their food orders put in before our server came back to our table. The food is iffy sometimes it good other days discusting We have been served rancid wings on wing night and it just seems to be getting worse. Yesterday we tried again and surprise... Bad, we were served our drinks and as we were about to order the waitress just walked away. The people at the table across from us watched as we did her ineptitude. When she finally did come to take our order 20min later she did not write it down so our requests didn't happen. When we received our food I had to get up and ask for the mushrooms that were on the menu and the Ceasar salad was soaked in dressing when we requested lite on the dressing. Then the cook comes out of the kitchen into the pub to argue with the waitress that even though it specified on the menu that there were mushroom that they were not supposed to be on the burger... Who cares follow the menu. Meanwhile we are all witnessing this and I am sitting waiting for as he called them sautéed mushrooms. What came out was a small bowl of mushrooms that had been microwaved in a garlic butter soup mess. This is also the same cook who by the way prepared our rancid wings!!! Not once throughout all this did the waitress ask how our food was. I recommend any other place than the pub if you want even mediocre service.

Liquor store.....hahahah what liquor store....just so you know the pub and the the liquor store are owned private...the pub is great...the liquor store could use someone who knows what they are doing...absolutely pathetic.... Restaurant and pub are absolutely fabulous and so are the staff.

This pub has really gone downhill tables and chairs are all wrecked and wobbly .wings taste like seafood..went there last night and waited 15 minutes to get my first drink then a half hour later the waitress came by and took a drink order then never came back ...there was tables full of empties everywhere ...I take a armload back to the bar to help out and remind the waitress about the drink order and the manager rages on me and tells me to stop complaining (even though I wasn't) and that the waitress is the only one working....well SORRY that I come to a pub for 2-3 drinks and don't expect to wait 45 minutes in between drinks empty handed...I have seen 4 people working behind the bar on a Wednesday why is there only one working on a Saturday? But that's the customers fault apparently ....I would say management should step it up a notch instead of getting mad at paying customers ....it's not the customers fault that there isn't enough people working ...this place used to be so much better and now the management and owner have a attitude that basically says if you don't like it then leave....and I worded that way nicer than they talk to their customers....I have been going to this pub for nearly 20 years spent lots and always tip very well and I'm questioning if I will ever go back I used to love this neighbourhood pub but it has really gone downhill since the last owners sold it....Ill be taking my business elsewhere

Nice little place, older community pub, bartenders have a heavy pour, mess of banners through. Quite a small place, extremely friendly staff and fun little bar games as well as one pool table.good selections on tap as well as a few cocktails and some decent bar food

I hesitate to give an honest opinion because I'm afraid it will become more popular and too busy for me to grab a bite to eat. This is a small town pub. On the outside it looks drab, and the inside looks a little seedy - exactly like a pub should look. The pop machine doesn't always carbonate the drinks enough and you can read through the list of alcoholic drinks in a glance. It isn't super trendy and you wont find quinoa or beets on the menu. But the burger patties are handmade, full of flavour, and perfectly crispy on the outside. Serving sizes are good, and the price is reasonable. I'll totally eat there whenever I'm going through town!

Will NOT spend a dime at this place! Thought about stopping in for a pint as the google hours showed they were open at 11:30 which clearly wasn’t the case. Went to the back alley to check out the outdoor seating and this individual who I assume was the owner decided to come out. Immediately he started bad mouthing us and calling us the Gestapo because we decided to take a picture from a public alley. If you’re looking for some good pubs with friendly people I suggest Over Time Beer Works or Grist and Mash in Kimberley. Skip this place!
