Have not had a bad meal here ever! A gem just outside the main Platzl area. Sit down or take out, it don't matter here, you are treated with the same vibe,earthy colours and smells. Grab a card and fill out your choices, that's our families favorite experience at the grill, well, after the food that is. They even have burrito bowls for the gluten intolerant, and serve angry orchard cider, a nice option for me since I don't drink much beer. you can't go wrong with a good burrito.

After reading the reviews we were disappointed with our experience at the Burrito Grill. Our server was great but there was nothing special about the food. The enchiladas were more like burritos and the overall quality and value were poor. Also it took over an hour for our meals to arrive. Will not return.

I normally don't leave a review if I dont have atleast one nice thing to say but after reading the reviews I'm having the same deal as other unsatisfied customers. Staff was polite, food was absolutely tasteless, actually tasted like dog food to be brutallly honest. The service was ridiculously slow and painful. With that being said the slushies were amazing. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you'd like to have a slushy or a nice drink on the patio.

This restaurant used to be much better, not sure what went wrong. An offer of olives in your quesadilla? Weird. My quesadilla was dry and there was very little cheese and they charged me $2 for a thimble of guacamole. Furthermore, we ordered our food with "medium" spice, hello!?? WTH, our food had no spice and we were given a mere 5, yes 5 nachos with our order. We used to enjoy this place and look forward to it returning to some semblance of an authentic Mexican restaurant

I though I'd miss Mexico a bit less after visiting that place, but ended up crying instead because the burrito was too damn good and the music even better. So sorry about using so many napkins. Special trick : make sure you get their tortilla chips + guacamole first, you might be just full already, plus you very well know you GOTTA try that guac, anyways. Cheers!!

Food is okay. Not authentic but decent taste and value. Salsa is excellent. Guac needs spices. What I couldn't get over and why we wouldn't go back were the little things; self serve water, self serve hot sauce, self serve orders written on a piece of paper, self serve cutlery (the server had no idea what a place setting was when I asked for one and she directed me the place where knives and forks were for me to help myself). And even though we were eating in, we were served our food in plastic trays and even the salsas were in plastic to go containers. It wasn't bad, just not great. A lot was overlooked. Like the food, garbage and cutlery under our table. or the fact that there was no lock on one of the bathroom doors. It's the little things that set a place apart from the rest. Judging from the other reviews we expected better. Edit: Food is not okay. Both my husband and I were up sick during the night. You were the only food we ate out that day. Our bad experience is still lingering. And you must have known there was a problem with the door as you chose to put up a sign that says, "please knock before entering"!

A real surprise of deliciousness. A tad pricey but well worth it. Boyfriend and I spent a night in Kimberley and this place was recommended to us. We both had a burrito. His the beef and mine the pulled pork. Only complaint is I asked for no beans and got refried in mine. They were tasty though. But I have food allergies so that could have been dangerous as I didnt know until biting into it. Next time I would order the beef too. Expected pork to be mexi spiced but it was more bbq. But overall the whole thing was absolutely delicious. Come open one of these on Chilliwack please ????

I grew up with TexMex - few places outside Texas come up to those standards. And this place is cautious to say it is Mexican-inspired, not "Mexican" per se. Whatever that might mean - the food here exceeded all expectations:one of the very, very few restaurants to do so much north of the Mexican border, much less outside the US. Most such places tone down the spice, first of all, to adjust to local, milder preferences. Not so here, most thankfully. The seating area is cozy and unpretentious - and the staff are very helpful and friendly along the way. (Yes, this is Canada, but it's still appreciated, even if it's more the norm than elsewhere.) The beer choices are good, and the prices are quite reasonable. In short, every reason to come here if you're eager for the real deal, and many reasons to come back as often as possible.

Really disappointing experience. Waitress seemed detached and spacey. Appetizer menu had 5 items (2 soups, nachos, hummus/bean dip and Mexican dip) and the item we wanted was out of stock so went with the nachos. I ordered a Hot Chicken Burrito and my partner order 2 No Spice Beef Tacos. The appetizer was delivered with my burrito after a significant wait, and we foolishly believed that the tacos were coming soon. After 10+ minutes we managed to get the waitresses attention and when we asked, we were told that she hadn't remember to order them. She said they would be made immediately. Another 10 minutes+ passes before they arrived, and we were told that they were not on our bill. That was a nice gesture... However, it does not make up for these additional facts: My burrito was not hot (as ordered) , medium or even mild. In fact it had almost no flavour at all other than beans. There was an odd white sauce on the tacos that was sweet and tangy and not a typical flavour you would expect. The nachos were very tasty but were very expensive for 1/2 what you would normally get at a restaurant. My London Fog was also very small for it's price tag. Overall it was a very unsatisfactory taste experience, poor service (but at least aware that attempts should be made to fix mistakes) and frankly overpriced for what you get. We will not be returning, or recommending.

This little gem is located just off the platzl so it's often a little easier to get in right away compared to other restaurants. I've yet to try something from here and not love it!

Ordered Nachos and a burrito bowl to go got home and both orders were wrong my Nachos had 6 jalapenos on it and the chips were burnt the burrito bowl had no cheese and no salsa or chips and all were circled on the slip. This place seems to be going down hill maybe it's because every face were all new people. We use to love it. Dont think we will ever be going back and we went there at least once a week.

Things have really changed at this local restaurant. It used to be wonderful. The past 3 times we have visited, it's taken FOREVER to be served. Most recently, it took 50 minutes to get 2 tacos. People who arrived after we did were served before us. In addition, they no longer have a waitress. You have to wait in line, order your food, and then it is brought to you. That's a perfectly fine setup, but the prices didn't go down to adjust for this change. Back to the 2 tacos I received: I ordered 2 pork tacos and neither of them had all the ingredients which were listed on the menu. There was barely any meat on the taco, so much lettuce I felt like a rabbit, and hardly any cheese. Big disappointment when you are paying $8 for 2 tacos. I'd love to say we will be back, but the bridge is burned. We won't be back: they've lost some good local patrons.

Very plain burrito, not very flavourful. Had the fully loaded pulled pork. The quantity of the ingrediants was nice, didn't skimp on anything and everything was fresh, but it was just so plain and not very flavourful. Could have made a more exciting burrito at home.

What a positive and welcoming environment. Arrived at the Burrito Grill this evening at peak hour for supper with a few friends. Our server I believe to be the owner delivered us attentive and quick service, as well as tasty authentic mexican food. We had a great experience and really enjoyed the effort they went to creating such a great environment. This has been the best dining in Kimberley all around. The owner has a charming vibe and a great attitude! Her personality alone would make me go back.

I really do like Burruto Grill but the reason I am giving this 3 stars and not 5 is because I found hairs in my food two times I have eaten here. They were not mine, anyone seated near me, or the servers as they were baked into the food. I probably was just unlucky, but I do think they maybe should try to prevent this from happening a little bit more if possible. But other than this I really found the food to be delicious and I like it a lot!

Was disappointed with meal. Unable to eat quesadillas. Filling slid out and very soggy to manage. Burrito bowl lacked the Mexican spices and was bland as well.

The restaurant was once full service and has now changed to counter service. We had the burritos, 7 layer dip and and water. Glasses of water were provided, but if you want more you need to navigate through the tables to a centrally located spot where the water is provided in an attractive glass carafe. The 7 layer dip was quite liquidy (it actually swayed and jiggled when it was placed on the table. It is actually 5 layer dip, and not in layers at all. I can't say I would recommend it to anyone who knows what real 7 layer dip is. The burritos are flavorful, with toppings that you can select yourself, but the tortilla was overcooked and cracked so that all the toppings oozed out which made eating them difficult (we resorted to knives and forks). We both had chicken, though I didn't seem to have much chicken in mine? Maybe it was lost in the ooze? Over all I would have to say I was satisfied with the meal, but it wasn't the best value. The restaurant is not the same quaint Mexican style restaurant it was in years past (no Mexican music anymore either). Hopefully they revisit their more Mexican roots.

Had a hard time getting into the place, has wheel chair sign yet doors had steps. I think the booths they have limit people sitting down, wish they would go back to tables and then maybe I would more often, the food was good
