This establishment has the worst customer service! The first situation I went there with my boyfriend and it was busy and so they had a list going! We noticed people coming in after us we're getting seated before us! After a while, where everyone on this list we seated they realized we were the first ones of the list. We chose to leave and we called to make the complaint later where they apologized! We thought it was a mistake that could happen! Today we tried again and it was not so busy in terms of waiting for a table which you could see there were plenty of tables available. There was a family that was there before us and they were waiting to be seated because they had a larger number of people. As the waitress who did not acknowledge us once since we got in was coming back from seating the family before us, a couple walked in clearly after we have been waiting and greeted them and walked them to an available table. I asked why she did this and she said not to worry there was other tables! That is not the point! She did not apologize and knew she had ignored us! We decided to take the managers name and drive to another location where they have never had any issues with customer service! I do not suggest going to this specific Joey's because they clearly have an issue with customer service! I'm not one to complain or share about customer service experience but when you there is consistent behaviour like this, I think people have the right to know!

It was delicious, Joey's is amazing, loved the deep fried pickles and coconut shrimp. Joey's 3 peice fish and chips hit the spot. Great supper.

I loved the food at Joey's, we usually go the the Northgate location. I really don't have any complaints except for the one time when my daughter took me out to the Kildonan Place location. Everything was fine until I started choking on a small but hard fish bone. I was already turning red trying to dislodge it from my throat where it got stuck for a long time. I thought..that was it for me, I was going to die right there. Luckily, I finally got it out. I lost my appetite afterwards out of fear of finding another bone. I placed the bone on my napkin and showed it to my server and she looked at me as if it was my fault and said, "Our fishes don't have bones in it." She took it and showed it to the cook and he said, "It has nothing to do with us, we order fish from our supplier and they're not supposed to have bones in it." I thought they should have at least covered the cost of my meal, but they didn't seem to care. I was so disappointed and hurt by them. Since then, we just decided never to go back there again.

Recently renovated. Rater quaint inside but it's your typical fish and chip place. Try the scampy, it's decent with the in house sauce they use. Portions seem to have been cut down over the years.

Was wondering if they changed the batter because it was crispy and super awesome!! Coleslaw portions are small though otherwise great good!! Went there during Covid and tried their fish tacos. Again very crispy, yummy, and super fresh ????!! A little too much slaw and sauce though otherwise, fab. Too bad my Dad wasn't there (passed last yr ????) He loved this place, especially for Shrimp Saturdays. 5 stars also for their conscious efforts towards physical distancing ???? ???? ???? ????.

Joey's is our favourite family restaurant. The restaurant is always clean, the service is always above and beyond expectation. Servers and kind and attentive and always very accommodating to our small children. The fish tacos are amazing and is a reason to go on a Thursday. Always a good meal.

I've been here before, it used to be a lot better in the past. However, the quality is still worth the meal at its price point especially wirh the all you can eat option on Tuesdays. One upsetting thing, I found a hair in one of my pieces of fish. We notified our server and they apologized and brought out a fresh new plate.

Reminds us of the East coast battered fish and chips. The batter is so light and delicious. They take great pride in their food. Recommend the fish and shrimp combo. Service was excellent. Best battered fish that I have found in Winnipeg. Only negative was I felt the lighting was a little dim, or maybe it's my eyes! Lol

Love the clam chowder here. Not a bad dine in experience as well. Food is priced well all things considered. If you're in the area ans craving seafood this is a good place to go.

First time customer- ordered the 2 piece cod dinner.Food was served squished on a small plate. Batter on fish very oily as well as fries were greasy. For the $ I was paying was hoping the fries would be homemade- not from a frozen bag. Coleslaw was lack-luster seemed not very fresh. My $14.65 would have been better spent elsewhere!! Not a return customer.

I used to love this location.....22 minutes and no refill. Appetizer came way after our meal. All you can eat tacos and no offers for 22 minutes. Hello.... are we invisible? Haha waitress approaches after 30 minutes later asking if we would like any dessert. Ummmmm no we ordered all you can eat and weren't offered more and our cups were empty long ago. I tried the spicy calamari and I'm thirsty. Oh oh ok you want more? Oh my GOD and no attempt to redeem herself. I want my reliable cup to be refilled when empty. We work in the service industry... but we couldn't tip omg that was the worst

We ordered 10 'shareables' yesterday through Uber eats. We paid full price for them as the app doesn't offer the take out special 10 for $25. While the food was delivered in a reasonable time, the portions were horribly small. For example the deep fried pickles, there was 3 pieces for like $6, it wasn't even a whole pickle. Same with the sweet potato fries, 7 fries for like $5. The order was almost $70... and the 2 of us were still very hungry after.
