Fun
Great friendly service. Bombadier in flashy yellow style. Perch ice fishing was great! Trying out the trout spots now.
Always had a great time with Hales! 100% give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
Awesome people that run it, and all staff are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable!!! Been going for yrs now, and am booked to go this week!...I would recommend Tim Hales Huts to anyone! And already have!!!! ????????????
Amazing operator. Huts are super warm and clean. Transportation is mint. this is the standard all operators should strive for. Time hales does it right, can't ever use another hut operation after such a great experience here.
Great place for ice fishing. They bring you out onto the ice and set you up in a heated hut to fish. They come back to pick you up at whatever time you request.
Amazing place, great experience
Thus place is an amazing place to go if you want to go ice fishing. I went for a corporate function with my work and it was super fun. I have never fished before, let alone ice fishing and I had tons of fun. The hits are very well insulated …
I’ve been to many different ice fishing locations the past 2 years - this is BY far the best experience. From very friendly staff, insulated spacious hut and last but not least, clean/convenient bathrooms out there! I will be coming back for sure ???? Highly recommended!
Tim and Kim and staff are super friendly and thoughtful. The hut is well insulated and very warm inside, you don't need to worry at all. We had a lot of fun. You gonna try their service and ice fishing.
Perfect pandemic activity for the family! Helpful and friendly office manager who answered the phone. Simple pricing structure. Clean and organized covered sleds to ice fishing huts. More than enough bait provided with a top-up at noon. Recommend!
First time going to Tim's and it was awesome!!! Super friendly service! Tackle shop where you check in. The cabins to rent are very accommodating! All around a great experience!
My husband and I went to this place a week ago, we both were very enjoyed our first time ice fishing there. All staff were awesome! Kim was so friendly and accommodating, she helped us to reserve a hut since we were last minute booking. We will definitely recommend Tim Hales Fish Huts and will be back for sure. Thank you all! Sharolyn and Bo
Really good operation. Tim was nice. Friendly reception staff and snow bus drivers with fishing advice. The huts were tidy and had a cook stove/gas grill (bring a lighter). The solar USB port and light was a nice touch. The floor ice hole configuration was useful with two parallel lock open cuts and a removable 3-hole panel. Unless it’s 2-3 people I’d stick with the small holes because there isn’t much leg room if both long holes are opened (we had 4 adults, 2 kids comfortably in a single hut). We didn’t have much luck but I’ve fished long enough and we’ll enough to know why it’s called fishing, not catching. I’d return to their setup. It was a good experience though near-fishless that day. There was some consolation in knowing that the friendly local OPP officer touring the area by snowmobile said nobody was catching!
Memories of fishing 40 years ago with my dad is all I have to compare it with, but if great service, a warm hut, and plenty of fish sounds good to you then I can happily recommend Tim Haled Fish Huts.
This guy is a legend, his huts are spray foamed insulated (bring your shorts). The locations where he puts his huts produce lots of fish, no dinky little perch, I'm talking football sized Perch and monster Whities/Trout. Give them a call they book fast!
Clean, professional huts!
One word for this operation LEGENDARY
Well organized friendly service clean facilities
As an avid fisherman, I was very happy with their hut rentals. Huts are clean and comfortable. Plenty of heat. More minnows than you’ll ever need, usb chargers in the hut, stove and LED lighting . Very friendly and professional. Today the fishing wasn’t great but that why it’s called fishing not catching lol. The ride out was very comfortable. Looking to set up a company outing in the future with them. Thank you again. , definitely looking forward to coming back and change my luck.
Fantastic place for Ice fishing, they made us feel like family! :-)
We ladies had an amazing time catching perch and so far one Whitie at Hales this year. Their staff are absolutely amazing and Tim is always trying his best to keep his clients on the fish. Thanks so much for making my day a happy one.
60 dollars for a nice experience in the ice. They have excellent cabins and good places for perch.
As an avid river fisherman with far less knowledge of ice fishing we wanted to experience what it’s like on the ice. So my girlfriend and I tried out Tim’s and it was fantastic! The service was par none. Very friendly people, a ton of …
Warm, comfortable. They helped set up the tip ups. The hut included usb usb charging stations , light's heat. Even the out house had heat. Fishing was not bad,had better days on the lake but not Tim's fault
First time with my buddies here. Everything is smooth from booking the hut to pick up after long day on the frozen lake. Very smooth operation.
Wow!!! What a great first ice fishing experience. From the minute we called and made the reservation a few months ago to the minute we left, the staff were incredible. They answered all questions and made sure we had everything we need and …
Tim and Kim are great!!!
They were amazing to deal with and put us on the perch hot spots!! Great time, fantastic huts and superb time!!
This is our 2nd time ice fishing. Compared to the 1st place we went to, this is far much better. Very clean and comfortable hut and well insulated with gas heat to keep you warm. Bonus: there is solar panel for light inside the hut and you can charge your phone with USB. Kim at the office is excellent in communication and details. Staffs are very friendly. They come to check out with every hut in middle of the day for questions and need and provide more baits. Things around are very organized. Recommended.
Great place, awesome hits, so much fun!
Service was amazing. Staff was super nice. Had a great experience. Unfortunately didn't catch anything. Next time for sure. Will definitely be going back. The huts are awesome.
Tim and his crew are hard working fisherman who know like Simco like the back of their hands! If you want to experience ice fishing near Toronto, this is the place to call.
Great friendly people. The huts are well maintained and very warm.
Great day out.good hospitality and great service
Great people great service always working hard to try and put you where the fish are you can tell Tim and Kim put the heart into it
Excellent time with Tim Hales ice huts can not say enough about the wonderful time we have had with them! This is our second year renting one of there super clean and super cosy cottages then spending the day fishing with them. Tim's wife Kim is really cheerful and super helpful she takes care of all the bookings! If you are looking for a fun weekend adventure book with Tim & Kim! The Bombardier snow machines they run are a lot of fun getting out to the ice huts! The fishing was excellent as well. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you next year!
Went about 5 times now and have had a great experience each time. Some of the nicest staff. Also, caught A LOT of perch and one whitefish. Will definitely be going back.
Wow. First time ice fishing. Super fun they work really hard to make your fishing experience great. Really popular so book early. Call them they will be really helpful.
I'd like to share my experience but I can't. I called in the new year about reserving a cottage for a three day stay at the end of February with 5 buddies. The guy I spoke with said he'd hold a cottage for me and told me to call back 2 weeks before the trip. I called back 3 weeks before the trip and he booked the cottage with someone else. Then he told me my name was written down really small on the calender. We all booked time off work. Didnt even get an apology. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed. Never again with these guys.
Professional, great equipment clean
Premium huts. My biggest perch that I have ever caught was from their.
The meeting place is a log cabin with a collection of old ice fishing tools.A must see.
IMO BEST OPERATOR ON SIMCOE BUT I GUESS PEOPLE SAY THAT ABOUT ANYONE THEY HAVE GREAT SERVICE FROM. IN MY FISHING GROUPS CASE WE HAVE FISHED MULTIPLE OPERATORS ON SIMCOE AND FOR AN ALL AROUND EXPERIENCE THIS IS THE OPERATOR TO USE. BEST HUTS..BEST TRANSPORTATION OUT...ALL THE BAIT YOU WILL NEED AND VERY ORGANIZED EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE CRAZY BUSY IN THE AM WITH MANY GROUPS. WHY ARE THEY SO BUSY....COME AND SEE...
Been coming here for the last eight years... great experience ever time
Been coming here for the last eight years... great experience ever time
One of the big ones
Issa fish hut.
We had fun on the long weekend. It is my kid’s first time to catch live fish rather than buying from supermarket. The hut is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would like to recommend it.
Always extremely accommodating. Clean huts and extremely friendly staff! Took our two kids age 6 and 8 ice fishing. Lots of bait and a stove to keep warm. My husband has been coming here for 22 years and now we get to pass this on to our kids! Thanks for a great time team!
Wonderful people to deal with, very helpful and informative. Great experience will be going back again sooner than later. Huts are clean, warm and plenty of room. My son and I made great memory’s today thanks to Tim Hales fish huts!
Was there last January fishing for perch with a first timer. Three 6" throw backs for me not even a bite for the first timer. Minnows were so small you needed a magnifying glass to bait the hooks, shivered all day in cold hut. Checked with all the rest of the hut renters that day and nobody had any luck. I will not rent here again.
Tim and Kim were wonderful hosts for us this weekend l. We stayed in their very comfortable cottages 'Journey's End' next door to the fishing charter, and spent an afternoon ice fiahing. I would highly recommend both.
Best ice fishing hut rentals! hands down. Very professional and organized. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved it.
Huts were clean and in good condition. Lots of minnows supplied. Washrooms in good condition.
Just spent 24 hrs in one of the huts had a great time worth every penny. I have already recommended it to friends going up this friday. And the icing on the cake 14.5 inch perch .i will definatley be going back
the guy driving us out was a real miserable guy.yelled at us for touching door ,nice huts but no fish out in the middle of 100s of huts, way overated imo.better operaters not so bossy
First class operation with extremely helpful staff An enjoyable day
This experience was great! Their Bombardiers are great and heated. Huts are grouped together (around 5 in a row, separated by 100 meters give or take), so you won't feel like you're all alone in the middle of the lake. Clean washrooms as well! Highly recommended!
Fishing was a little slow but any day out on the ice is great ????
This place is awesome! A must visit if you are interested in ice fishing. The customer service is top notch. From the time of reservation, directions, friendliness and support. Our group was skeptical at first of the huts. We all bundled up but once inside, you can literally wear shorts and a tshirt. The insulated inside plus the double burner stove is the perfect way to keep warm and enjoy. They provide a bucket of minnows which is more than enough. Our group didn't have any luck catching anything, only a few bites. We were jigging large and small minnows plus some worms but no luck. When we got back to our car, most of the other huts were just arriving back as well. It seemed like we didn't have any luck but mostly everyone else caught some nice perch. Overall, would 100% recommend this place to anyone. EDITED POST: My buddies and I have been back more than 3 times since our first trip. Caught over 60 fishes on our second trip, a nice white fish on the second, and 30 on the third. Best spot for ice fishing.
First time going with tim hales.usually go by ourselves with a pop up hut but decided to go with an operator and do the over night.had all our own fishing equipment but they convinced us to buy a couple of balance sticks as most fish caught in their huts are on the balance stick.no sooner had a line set up and had a fish on.had 3 whitefish by 8.30 p.m. caught a 4th one around 630a.m. huts were warm more than enough minnows.three fish around 3 to 3.5 pounds and one around 9.5 pounds. Great service all around we went out Feb 23 2020 will be back
January 21/22 . Travelled 6 hrs. Never caught or even seen one fish all day long.! My once in a lifetime trip after retirement was a total bust. I should have checked the dates on their reviews. My fault. In all fairness they have only been open for a few weeks and there is never any guarantee.
First time ice fishing around this area. Can't really find anything negative to say except for their punctuality. It was a large group of us going out for the night session. Told to arrive at 3 but they did not get us out until 4ish. Nonetheless they were very apologetic and nice. The huts were wonderful. Very well kept. Clean. Bait was very well stocked. Some of us did manage to get some jumbos. Overall it's a very nice experience. Would highly recommend.
Had a great time!
Extremely friendly and accommodative staff. Warm huts. We went last Saturday. A gentlemen called Barry took us to the hut, and set us up. It was our very first time ice fishing and we had zero experience. Barry taught us a few tricks, dropped by a couple of times to check our progress, gave us his own hook, and even gifted us 3 perch, seeing us not catch anything in the morning. We ended up with 10 (incl. 3 from Barry), and the last perch we caught was huge, 35cm long! While we initially wanted to be picked up at 4:30pm, Tim Hales accommodated our request to stay on the lake a bit longer, and picked us up last after 5:30pm. We’re grateful for a great experience! Highly recommended.
