Great service, friendly hosts and excellent food prepared fresh and by hand. Had the fish and chips and butter chicken which were really good. Will be dropping in more often when in the area to try the other dishes. A "hidden gem" as posted by another reviewer!

A hidden gem - you won't be disappointed! Prepare for a bit of a wait if it's busy, but well worth it as your meal is being prepared fresh and by hand. Go for the chicken curry if it's available! The owners are very personable which just enhances the already pleasant experience. We'll definitely be stopping in again.

Recently dined at the Riverbank Cookhouse this past weekend. As a vegetarian, I was concerned that it would be hard to find a full, hearty meal (more than fries) in a smaller town. This restaurant had a delicious veggie burger, and the chef made it just the way I requested it. The side fries were also delicious! Service was fast, friendly and the restaurant provided excellent value. My boyfriend had (and really enjoyed) the fish and chips. Will definitely be back next time I am in the area. My only complaint is that they were only open one day a week.

A small family run place, home-style cooking. I had Riverbank "BBQ Chicken with Avocado" sandwich, it was great. They cook everything fresh from scratch, so expect a bit longer waiting time than in a regular establishment. Highly recommended.

Amazing Burger!!! Hand made patty with fresh cut fries, perfect lunch after a long ride. The owners were very pleasant and professional. they even washed and filled our water bottles on a hot day. Next time I'm going to try the Butter Chicken, it looked amazing!!!

The best fish and chips I have ever had. This is definitely a restaurant I would highly recommend. The owners are personable and ensure you are taken care of. Make sure you stop in and try any of their menu items, all home made. I will be going back for sure. !!!????

My husband and I just stopped in on our way by from buying a boat . My husband had the fish and chips was exellent my self had chicken soulvaki was cooked purficet the owner was very friendly . Its a little place very nice. Would definitely recommend you try it

We stopped in for lunch on our way to Ottawa in April. The fish and chips were excellent and the owners very accommodating, making sure we had enough chips to satisfy our appetites. The couple who own and run the restaurant were very pleasant and made the stop very enjoyable. Not your typical fast food restaurant stop!!

Outstanding experience. We watched a movie up the street and then had dinner at the Riverbank Cookhouse. The butter chicken poutine was simply outstanding and the ribs got two messy thumbs up, perfectly cooked with an Outstanding BBQ sauce. The service was good, with our meal arriving hot and fresh. A perfect dinner for a lazy cottage day.

Excellent food, good variety, and generous portions at a great price. Recently expanded to include table seating as well as takeout, they offer a friendly atmosphere and attentive service. A great stop along Highway 121, right on the main street of Kinmount.
