I shop here but not going to anymore. I would much rather shop where you can feel the happiness. The cashiers (older ladies ) and even the young bigger blonde cashier acts like she hates her job. Can't be bothered to have a smile on her face or even talk to you while she cashes you out and acts like you are some kind of animal or somethin , you can smell the attitude off them throughout the whole store. Put a smile everybody come on!!!!!!! I'll follow the advice of others in my life and not shop here anymore because I see the ignorance for myself now.

My husband and I shop here regularly. The store is clean and very well stocked with excellent quality produce, meat and an array of anything we need or want. They have a super deli area with excellent quick prepared meals for a healthy alternative to convenient take-out. The staff goes above and beyond when it comes to answering questions or providing support. We feel very safe shopping here too, during these frustrating times the world is experiencing.

Been going for years, however produce needs some TLC. Last few months certain produce (tomatoes on vines, eggplants, bulk fruit like plums ) have had mold on stems or bruises. I don’t know if it’s new hiring, but a better eye on vegetable quality is needed

Best customer service by far in any grocery store i’ve been to. I was visiting Lindsay for the weekend, and had gone here because of good reviews from friends, and they had blown my expectations out of the park. Staff was so friendly, and the store was very clean and well organized. When I came in the manager had greeted me and asked what I was looking for and directed me to the right place. I should also add that everyone wearing their masks made me feel very comfortable and safe. I am very thankful for all that they are doing regarding the mandatory restrictions.

Excellent selection of fine cheeses, quality produce, meat and an impressive selection of local and international wines. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The store is very committed to protecting staff and customers from COVID-19 and this creates a feeling of safety when grocery shopping in these uncertain times. I have never met staff and managers that treat customers so poorly. I left there shaking after I was harassed when trying to buy wine because my drivers license looked different (my card had a paper attached to it because my new one is coming in the mail.. quite a normal thing). There was no one else in line (thank goodness) or I would have felt bad for those people for having to wait for such an ordeal. I had no problem being ID'd, it was how the manager and cashier dealt with the situation that was extremely embarrassing for them. The cashier called the manager and created a big scene for no reason. The manager even stood in front of my friend and prevented him from walking to pick up the items I’d already gone to such trouble to pay for after they finally accepted my ID that they both looked at over and over as if it was foreign. I’m surprised anyone even shops here because not only is the selection and quality terrible, the people working there are worse and they shouldn’t even be in business. I’ve tried shopping here twice before and left with nothing because they didn’t have what I wanted in stock. I thought I would try them just this once more for a couple of things since the other small shops were closed on a Monday. What a mistake. I mentioned this experience many locals and they assured me that this terrible customer service is why they don’t shop here anymore. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.

I gave one star without an explanation and the owner just replies with a made up assumption as to why so here's my explanation for giving 1 star Gave 1 star because of the rude and disrespectful way this place deals with customers. This store is extremely rude and borderline abusive to some customers and I highly recommend shopping literally anywhere else.

I've been coming here for years... The selection is great, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is always so friendly! Today I was in a rush after work and an employee took the time to help me find some items that I don't usually buy so I didn't know where they were. This was super helpful and helped me get home in time!

We drive almost 1 hour to shop at La Mantia's. We drive by 7 competing supermarkets. We enjoyed La Mantia's having a Euro name, reminding of my youth, shopping with my parents in Toronto. We were in need of Phyllo pastry, for a Greek Pastry, I called, they had stock.,they didnt know price. Upon arrival, the carts are outdoors, unattended. Every other market we shop at, has a dedicated worker to sanitize the carts, going in, and taking the cart upon departing. Not so Euro, inviting anymore. I am disabled, my wife is the driver. We are in our 60s,well dressed, adults. We enter, my wife asked for the location of the restroom to relieve herself, she was told "our washrooms are only for employees"very disappointing. Anygrocery store we have shopped at, all have washroom facilities available for their guest's. We shooppped, the phyllo pastry was close to $8.00. Exorbitant! I ask to speak to the manager, Jamie is summoned. He shows up, I am told it's hard to find employees, looking and speaking toJaime, I can.see why. Total lack of communication skills, looking dishevelled. "We don't have a washroom" I asked for the owner number, he should, would care. I was given a pamphlet with history of the store, and Dave's #. I called left a message. We depart, went up the road to Club Warehouse store, where we both used their handicap friendly washroom, and we shopped. Dave returned my call, I explained what happened, he sounded like he couldn't care Less . And at that point neither did I. You think his predecessor would have cared???? 3stars for 1 most staff 2 meat 3 name

I love this store. Great meat. BUT I was there Thursday Mar 25 2021 at 2 o'clock in line to check out only one young man on till serving a customer. The other two ladies are busy moving some flowers so I wait, then there are 4 other customers waiting..They look over but do not open another till so I tell the clerk they should open another till. He just looks over at them and says sorry to me.Then the two lady clerks leave.Very bad customer sevice. .

The only reason this isn't a one star is because they have pretty good prices on their meat selection. Other then that. Their staff is rude and will stare at anyone that doesn't look like they are from town. I know more than a few people that won't shop here for this exact reason. My girlfriend will no longer shop here alone because of this. Try giving the same respect to others that you would expect people to give you, no matter where they are from. It's just unacceptable.

We're new to the town and after trying out each of the grocery markets in Lindsay I'd rate this one as just slightly better than average. The deli section is very good - definitely above the rest, with terrific selection and products very nicely presented. The dry goods selection is limited in selection and shows room for improvement in how things are displayed. Parking is decent but shopping cart outside storage and cart self sanitation set up are pretty disappointing.

La Mantia's is a great produce store. Prices r usually not bad but tend to go up regularly. Manager is very efficientl and makes sure his staff is too. Serve customers first then he will deal with any other store issues. The in store bakery is great also but pricey. They have alcohol for those who would like it.

I have been going to this store for so long and can honestly say that they have the best produce in the entire province. Not once have I seen any bruise or wilting on any fruit or vegetable. The staff is always so kind and eager to help. However, I am so sorry to the owner for all of the negative reviews coming from people who do not care about the safety and health of others :( I do not understand that if they are exempt from wearing a mask that they should not be out in a global pandemic. There are other options available, for example delivery, or curbside pick up. I find it very admirable that the market is holding such high standards and working very hard to keep everyone safe.

Reminiscent of the old time grocery stores but with some modern enhancements. Reasonable prices and friendly service. Hours of operation would be the only drawback as I'm sometimes forced to go to other stores after work because they're closed.

This is my favourite store! They sell fresh produce and offer a great selection. I also love their deli and meats and the store-made cookies. They were extremely rude after allowing me into their store to "contaminate" it, by not wearing a mask for health reasons, get to the cash with my purchase, they refused to take my money if I did not put on a mask. They threatened to call the police on me, at which point, I left all my contaminated produce at the cash and left. I'll never waste my money there again. P.S To the owner of the store. There are medical exemptions for good reason. The medical community and the province itself recognizes that. Every other grocery store in town recognizes that. The Human Rights Tribunal recognizes that. Apparently, you do not. You sir do not have a medical license. You do not know the medical issues suffered by many of your clientele, nor do you seem the least but compassionate towards them. You have no authority mandating a medical device be worn on anyone. Experts agree that they should not be worn by everyone. That is the reason you have shields up around your cash counters. You would do well to realize that.
