Great place to relax and catch small fish from the front of your cottage. Instant communication with managers and owners. Our cabin was very small but renovated, everything worked great. Wifi available but it's a small town wifi - on and off, data / LTE is better, strong reliable signal. Pets allowed! Thank You

Please read this and other reviews before contacting this place. Do not waste your limited vacation at this place. The excitement and anticipation of our cottage trip was quickly destroyed upon stepping into this place. My family has had an annual cottage trip for the past 10 years. We choose a different place every year to keep things fresh. We have had very good experiences at other places. This was not the case at Fish and Rest for several reasons: 1. Their policies are made to limit your fun and destroy your wallet. These policies are better suited for an institution. 2. Parking - they would like to charge you extra for each vehicle beyond the one vehicle for each cottage. Never had to pay that before. 3. They charge extra for babies. I had to pay an extra $75 for my 20 month old for 3 nights. 4. They do not let you take the pontoon out before 8am or after 6pm. This place is called FISH and Rest but they will not let you take the boat out during the ideal time for fishing. NO EXCEPTIONS. 5. The cottages are renovated and they were nice but we didnt come to sleep. We came to enjoy. It is hard to enjoy when the toilet is clogged the entire duration of the stay. 6. The owner came storming in to the office and started screaming at my entire family with children around. Then he suggested that our family was not respectable and told us to take our money and leave. 7. There was no firewood for sale. Good Luck trying to make a fire. There is ONE firepit on the entire property which cannot be moved. There are several cottages so I guess you have to fight for the one fire pit If other families are there. 8. There is no room for any activities. The front of the cottage right in front of the lake so kids cannot play there. The backside is full of benches. There is no room to play any type of sport or activity. 9. The lake view is a swamp view. It is full of weeds. It is not relaxing nor exciting. 10. If you do end up renting a pontoon, they will give you the worst one out of the ones they have available. We got one with a damaged propeller. There are more points but I tired of typing. The point is if you are looking to relax and not worry about absurd policies and walking on glass the whole time, stay away from this place!

The new owners are great and the staff are amazing. I've been going to this place for 15+ years and have seen the ups and downs, I am super happy to see everything coming back to the awesome place I remember as a kid. They are working very hard to correct the issues left behind by the previous owners. Anything you need they are always happy to help with, while at the same time letting you just relax and enjoy. So consider this review, (probably my first ever, at least that I can recall) an open callout to all those for whom this was their happy place. The long winter is over, it's time to come home.

We have been coming to this place from when Nancy and Trevor owned it and yes did need renovations then. The renos have been done now under new management and cottages are much nicer and nice showeres but not good to me if there is no hot water. We arrived on the Friday and left sunday and had no hot water all weekend for showers. Ruby told me to reset the box under the sink and that there was a trick to it. I paid to stay at a newly renovated place and I HAVE TO RESET BOX AND HOPE TO HAVE HOT WATER....REALLY???? Pool is supposed to be heated and Friday and Saturday was cold and no heated pool. I went to ask if we could get a late check out for compensation for no hot water and they refused. We packed our stuff and left the cottage and was just having a bite to eat on the picnic tables and we were kicked out...told to leave. Actually one worker there actually yelled at us to GET OUT. Very rude. There is a common area that they charge $10 a day to use the pool and have a bbq for people who are not staying at cottages. So I went to wait there for my guys that went fishing for a bit more on the day we were leaving and Ruby again told me its after 1 and I have to leave. I told her I would give here the $10 but then thought what for....I just spent a weekend with no shower. And there were 7 of us in the cottage. Very rude management....They did nothing to remedy the situation. They lost a lot of business because I usually bring about 15 people every year before new owers took over. Also there is a terrible smell from the holding tanks. We could not open our windows. And you can smell it all day outside. Pool closes at 7 pm because there is no one there after 7. What place closes there pool in the summer at 7? So sad....was my happy place...will never come back and do not recommend to anyone.

we ordered a pontoon boat with a roof but when we came to there, the owner told us due to windy weather, we had to change to other two small fishing boats, which I think is more uncomfortable especially in heavy rain. She could notice us before we drive there, but she didn't.We had to stay in the rain because of it. Also, the gas is surcharges and its more expensive than others.Personally, I don't recommend this boat rental. However, the other two stuff are very friendly.

New ownership seems nice enough - the staff tries hard to give a friendly welcome! The cottage was recently remodeled and was very nice. The accommodations were fairly priced but we found the price of the boat rentals a bit steep.

This place is exactly what the title says, fish and rest. It's a great fishing get away and very quiet and peaceful. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Wifi is spotty, but if you're looking to disconnect, it shouldn't be an issue.

We spent the Canada Day long weekend at Fish and Rest. The cottages were very clean, the new owners super nice and responsive. I took my jet boat there so one piece of advice, topnotch to the channel before you start, otherwise weeds will get you in trouble. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year. It's affordable and a great fishing spot.

If you're looking for a cheap place to rent a little cabin and fish for a weekend, your good to go here, just know that they will Nickle and some you for all the "extras". Cottages usually come with some minimal items, a couple pots and pans, maybe some salt and pepper shakers, utensils... This place, did not. If you need any items, bring them yourself. They also unnecessarily charged each car for parking, $22 for the weekend. All those things aside, the boat worked great and the cabin had air conditioning and was recently renovated. If you're in a pinch, this place works, but come equipped

Reviewing for pontoon double decker. First time and definitely not last! Yes, the boat wasn't clean or premium, but you get it for an amazing price! Quick clean up and you good to go. Amazing place, amazing views, amazing water. There is some seaweeds in some parts of lake, but it's manageable, once you go closer to the Fenelon Falls, it's perfect! Water is clean, and warm, you have views of beautiful cottages! Definitely will come back and recommend for couple, family date!! ????????????????

It was mystifyingly beautiful! We all had a wonderful time at the Fish & Rest Resort, Lindsay. The three days we had spent over there were inimitable, by all means. The rooms were spick and span and every staff member we met was so pleasant and eager to help us even at very short notice. I used to get up very early, unlike the many who kept themselves sleeping on their snorting horses at that time, to take in the sights of the morning blues. Never in my life have I witnessed such a beautiful sight in any of the water-bound resorts. The murmurations of starlings that fly in great pulsing swarms took my attention to learn more into that. They seldom fly out of their formations. The flight in groups starts like a powerful arrow leaving its bow ...bhoooo ....it goes! A host of exotic birds are common sights all over. Although I'd seen Trumpeter Swans earlier, didn't know why they're named so. You ask me now and I can show how they make the sound of a trumpet without having one. Birders will certainly find more on their winged friends at Fish & Rest, for sure! We had a boat ride too, to top it all! That was a bonus gesture from Savio, the owner of the resort. It's so happened that we chanced upon him with a great conversation and he fell for us, thanks to his snap thought of visiting his place. He took us out on one of the boats and explained all about that place and its history. One has to be lucky for such a rare occasion falling in place. Overall, it was a great experience! We're back home with a resolution to spread the word across and to throw another visit over there next year.

Few smaller things that would probably help; maybe a few kayaks or canoes for free or even for a cheap rate, couple more brooms in the units our rv didn’t have one but no major deal. If you like fishing this place is amazing we caught so many fish here over the few days we had stayed.

It is in the process of a change of ownership after 20 years and the lodges are to undergo a much needed upgrade. It is a lovely spot for fishing on Pickeral point Lake Sturgeon in the Kawartha lakes region of Ontario nearest town is Lindsay 7 kms away. Has all you need for supplies food beer fishing tackle shop etc. Also visit Bobcaygeon town north of the point a quaint old place to visit for a day out. Good fishing spot, with lovely sunsets, small swimming pool to cool off weather was very hot in July, mind the mossies though after sunset best get an early night...

A few things to say about this place. First of all, it’s called Fish and Rest, however they only allow the pontoon out during 8am-6pm, and do not allow you take the pontoon out during optimal fishing hours (early mornings, and around sunset). No where on the phone or on this website (at the time of writing this review) did they ever mention what times the pontoon could be taken out. Second of all, both management and owners were very rude about discussing the policies and it seemed like they were looking for every way possible to charge you. You have a baby, that’s extra. You have an extra car, they have more than enough space to accommodate extra vehicles but charge you per day. And previous reviews have also said that they hassle you after you’ve used the boats about damage or extra expenses however we did not have that problem. Thirdly, the area itself was horrible for any other purposes. The pictures on website showed lots of grass and area for activities. When you get there however, you realize 2 feet in front of all the cottages there’s a lake so kids can’t play in front of the cottage. Behind the cottage there is about 20 benches that cover the area and literally no room for any activities with family or friends. And only one fire pit so luckily we booked almost all the cottages so we were the only ones using it but if there are others there then you might have problems. The one good thing I can say about this place are the cottages themselves. Well renovated on the inside, comfortable and modern. So if your coming to this place to just stay inside the cottage for the duration of your trip, then go ahead waste your money here. But if your here for any other reasons like having fun then don’t spend your money here.

Went here with my family, place was very relaxing and fishing off the dock was surprisingly effective. The other families sharing the property at the time also seemed friendly and overall, very nice weekend getaway. I would recommend that you take some form of bug repellent though. I had 30% deet and a ThermaCELL and I wasn't affected.

Owner is so rude! Higher price than other and additional gas charge for rent boat. Change our boat from large one to two small one because of the windy weather and the lack experience of our driver. Then what's the point of the insurance? Charge other additional fee as the owner wish. Won't go there anymore

Beautiful lake. However the owner is a nutcase. We had problems with the rental boat 2 times within 6 hours, it broke down twice leaving us in the middle of the lake stranded. We rented a pontoon boat for full day, it is old and the motor does not work, radio does not work. After full day (cost us 200$ )we were charged extra 150$ for ONE hour late because the boat broke down and we were waiting for them to come get us, it was not our fault in anyway. How does that make sense? Owner told us she needs to pay employees. Unbelievable management. Would not recommend this kind of rip-off for anyone. We are very sad to leave a bad review but we had the worse experience .Rudest owner we have ever met.

Rented a double decker pontoon and it was quite dirty, the table still had cherry seeds, the drink holders had leftover food in it etc. It definitely does not seem well maintained nor that sanitary. To make matters worse the top level was rather shaky and there appeared to be a lot of water stuck underneath which was dripping down on us as we drove. Lots of cobwebs and spider webs all over. The anchor was also tied together with the cheapest string imaginable. I think the owner must have took one of his old shoelaces as an anchor rope. I would not recommend this place at the price as there are much better places overall. The images on the website are deceiving to say the least. They also charge parking for more than 1 car which doesn't make sense since I am renting a pontoon that holds 10 people. Do they really expect us to arrive in one car? The only positive was that the engine ran quite well and the staff were friendly and polite.

Booked here for Father's Day and my birthday. The place was cozy. The place was somewhat clean. The TV doesn't play as they shut it down at 11pm and turn it back on at 8 am. They have fishing off the docks but the water is very weedy. The folks are friendly.

Nickle and dime you to death. Things were not running right. Cold showers, slow coffee makers and they had said I burned 8 litres of fuel when I took the 9.9hp fishing boat for 3 hours. I literally had the motor running for MAYBE 40 mins (trolling). I will never be back. Sad considering I was a repeat customer and they completely took advantage of me every way they can.

I cannot say enough good things! From us arriving late and having the friendliest check in ever to waking up the next morning to no hot water and the pool closed. Even with the hiccup they did EVERYTHING they could to make our family trip awesome. The pool was closed for very silly reasons...so the owners went out and bought a few smaller pools for the kids to splash around in, and even brought over some toys for them to play with!. The no hot water was nothing they could have prevented but got it remedied quickly and even let us have a complimentary paddleboating rental for a day! The staff is amazing and helpful and friendly ! Nicole was the nicest and sweetest ever! From me calling on a long weekend Friday to checking in that same Friday it was super nice to have a last minute getaway ! I loved waking up on the water and hearing the frogs at night Thanks for a fun family weekend

Worse cottage out of dozen in last 5 years experience. Worse customer service, owner and staff are rude and cheap. They are trying to pay their renovations through creating unnecessary charges by charging for babies, parking and peddle boats, we were surprised that they didnt ask for payment when we requested some extra garbage bags (pun intended). They dont allow cars in their premises if you do not pay the parking fee or when u check out. After 3 days at the cottage, at check-out we were told to move our car on the street. There was not much grass area. Access to water is through an old wooden ramp. The outdoor space does not meet the vacation standard. No wonder they have such low ratings. Plz avoid.

Amazing resort in a perfect location!! Really enjoyed the clean spacious cottage, waterfront, pool, and the boating facility. The staff were very cordial and made our stay very comfortable. We didn't stay. Emergency popped up. I email to cancel. She then emails back telling me shes taking 163 dollars for cancellation due to canceling the day of. No where in the details does it say anywhere in the details any more then 100 dollars cancellation. Then when I call they try and tell me the last two weeks they've changed their policy without informing anyone . due diligence says that A 2 week prior booking would keep the old policy.

This is one of the best cottages me and my family have been too. We had a great time at the resort. We rented 3 cottages, all of which were clean and well maintained. The location was not too far from the town so we got food from the local supermarket and restaurants. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with any issues. Btw the Sunsets are amazing. Will definitely go back next summer or fall.

Zero star rating!!!!!! In the peak of summer, they close the pool at 7 p.m. because no one is on site - for safety. REALLY!?!? So hire someone to stay til 11 p.m. And if it is for safety reasons, then why is there no one on site if something goes wrong with the cottages after 7 p.m. All we could smell was the septic tank from the windows. We had to keep the wIndows closed! There was no hot water for showers .We asked about the shower water and were told to reset the heater. REALLY?!? I have to pay to stay here AND do YOUR work? I have to pay EXTRA for PARKING?!?!? It also advertises a heat pool - NOT!!!! Not to mention they nickle and dime you for everything. The pool has no eye appeal! Not even one planter. The previous owner wasn't the neatest person but was the most personable and accommodating person! We really miss the previous owner and their friendly ways. DO NOT GO! SAVE YOUR MONEY! FIND ANOTHER PLACE! DON'T SAY I NEVER WARNED YOU!!!!

this was a life ruining experience. First of all the view was terrible. The lake had absolutely no beauty to it whatsoever. I wanted to enjoy the view but there was nothing to behold and the entire lake was just one big ugly swamp. On top of this the owners were very rude to us and to make matters worse, it seemed that they were eager to charge us for things that would usually be free of charge at any other cottage. For example, they said that it would cost us $75 for a paddle boat like who the hell does that?! ABSOLUTELY LUDICROUS! Furthermore, to add insult to injury, I wanted to go fishing with my family since that was supposed to be the entire purpose of the trip. However, the owners told us that we could not even keep the pontoon for the entire 3 days we were staying there and that we could only keep it starting from 8am and return it at 6pm. This was very disappointing since the ideal time for fishing is supposed to be from 6pm. I have been to plenty of cottages and never have i ever heard of such an absurd rule. Finally the owners of the resort were very rude to us. When we tried to talk to them about all of these problems they showed us a lot of attitude and said that those were their policies. It was almost as if they were just in it for the money. Despite all of this, one good thing about this were the cottages themselves. they did a fantastic job with the renovations and I loved them and they were comfortable and a joy to chill in. However, in my opinion, if everything else is bad then it’s not worth it. Overall, aside from the cottages themselves, our experience was terrible and would absolutely not recommend that anybody waste their money here as there are much better resorts.

Why I gave them 1 ⭐*** ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? --Not Recommended please do not waste your money for booking any one of their cottage-- I have visited this place with group of 35 people (multiple families). This place has one of the worst owner/management. I have visited many cottages. But this place is like a nightmare. I wish I can give them less than 1⭐. This is just like a Shrek swamp. The cottage owners fought with us more than half an hour just for one damn pontoon. We came here for the fishing but they're renting there boats from 8am to 6pm which does not involve fishing times. When we said we will return the pontoon before the sunset the owner said no TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GO HOME. This is ridiculous. The paddleboard which are free at most of the cottages; they are charging for the paddleboard $80+tax/4 people and $65+tax/2 people for a day. The best fishing time is early morning and evening before the sun is out and upon sun set. I have read some of the reviews and some people say these are the new owners better than before but I think these owner are worse the before. This place is garbage. I understand these owners spend some money to renovate their cottages but there's no point spending money if you don't know how to talk to your guests. Please check out the swamp in the picture then you will understand how bad is this place. Also after fighting half an hour they give us worst pontoon boat which you can see in the pictures...

We just spent 3 nights at this cottage rental. The cottage was exceptionally clean. Everything you needed was there. The owners are fairly new and were so friendly and eager to make sure everything was O.K. All the staff including the maintenance guy and house keeper were so friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was decent. Grounds and cottages were kept clean. Pool was kept clean, however it closes at 7pm for no reason because it’s not as if someone is watching the pool prior to 7. My first complaint however is in regards to their complete falsely advertised 1 bedroom which is actually a bachelor apartment/cottage. This was a complete disaster as we are a family of 3 with an infant. I’d say they might not have known to let us know what the set up was but we had to pay 25$ extra a night for our infant to stay with us. Second complaint would be their rental service. We rented 2 paddle boats at about 2 pm. Rental times are from 8-5 so we had 3 hours and a few little kids so we had ample time. After maybe 30-45 minutes on the paddle boats the owner appears asking how much longer we will be because he wants to go home which to me is just completely unprofessional. Obviously uncomfortable we finished up quickly and returned the boats. My last complaint which may seem a bit picky was checking out. As stated we have an infant ( who has slept in her own bed since 6months) she didn’t have the best sleep as we all had to share a room which she isn’t used to. Regardless, we made it work, but she’s up early so we figure to pack up and hit the road early. Were ready to go around 7:30, however no one is in the office. A woman who owns the place lives directly beside the office and is sitting outside with a gentleman I believe works there as I seen him doing random things throughout my stay. I ask the gentleman if I could give him my key as we’ve cleaned and locked up and are ready to go. He says I need to wait for the employee to arrive at 8. Clearly being difficult for no reason. You work here, your here now. What’s the problem. We wait. The employee shows up and says oh you could have left the keys in the cottage. It was all a bit confusing, we made the best of it and I’m just glad the place was clean!

Could do alot better for the cost of the accommodations and watch out for the pricey boat rentals and rediculous gas surcharges & you might find yourself stranded in a middle of a lake when the boat motor go down!

Management was very rude,very argumental ,nonsense policies of parking,extra charge for little baby. Extra charge for 2nd car parking.our extended family has been going to different cottages every summer. Only this time I feel like I have been ripped off and I have ruined my vacation. Very nice place got 10% off for summer opening. The resort is clean and well taken care of good people in other cottages friendly place. Big fish we got used boat to go out into the water. Very family friendly great pool for swimming. Not over price the fuel cost good for today's prices at pump.

Would not recommended, boat rentals are till 6 pm. MHave to pay for parking, a day!!!! $20, first place ever I went to that you have to pay for parking. I been cottaging for 20 years. Costomers services could be better, an answer you get for some problems, I just work here, boat rentals are to expensive, I went to get a boat, it was full of water and I had to use coffee cup to empty it

Very old and dirty place..lack of management ..the sketchy staff are very unprofessional and rude. It was great that i managed to get some relax time away from work. However, I believe for this price I could've got a wayyy better service. Also their website is misleading, the rates on there are different from the rates that will charge your credit card. When we talked to the rude staff.. they said that website is changing..its not updated yet. we had fun but the interaction with staff and cottage being old and dirty was a turnoff...wont recommend..wont go back there...next stop will be kawarth/muskoka cottages...you get what you pay for.

Staff was friendly and helpful with service but when the night came we had multiple issues and no one to help with. Place was infested with all kinds of bugs and spiders by the door, by the camping area by the fire there’s light posts but no way to turn on externally ( must have a switch inside or something ) but literally sitting in the dark at nights and the bugs inside the cottage is unbearable. We rented 2 cottages and the boat for the weekend. Spent close to $2000 but very disappointed. In the cottage the coolers in the kitchen is warm when you arrive and takes like a day to cool down as specially in the freezer. We bought ice cream and pretty much melted in the freezer. Very disappointing but the staff is very friendly. Overall I don’t think I am coming back here ever and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Lake had literally no bites either. Caught 3 little perch the first day but will see what’s gonna be like tomorrow. Great pictures of muskies and pikes though. Also one of the cottages has no hot water showers were a nightmare. We had to take turns and some of us couldn’t even get a shower because we got way too tired of the waiting

stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage what a great looking cottage looked better than most apartments i've ever lived in, you can definetly tell it was brand new.. I stayed last week, with my 2 kids, taught them how to fish... Great fishing out there! I rented a 2 bedroom cottage with a Pontoon for a week and bought fire wood from their store to roast marshmallows with the my boys the store actually saved me, i forgot to bring breakfast stuff, and there store luckily had cartons of eggs and surprising had a pack of frozen hash browns... had a really relaxing time just sitting on dock and soaking up the sun, while the kids stayed out of my hair and kept themselves busy swimming and playing with there water guns with other kids staying at the resort.. staff was great, almost annoyingly bubbly i might say lol... and they really took care of my boys and even gave them a couple chewy candies for free more than once... overall i had a great relaxing experience and would definetly recommend.. i would like to back hopefully next season

Should of done this a little earlier but spring is here. A new year to enjoy a great spot I have gone too three times last year. Great for the fishing wonderful crowd that gathers and the two owners are fantastic. The cottages them self clean and modern and have all the goodies you need lets say your own home from home. Stayed for 3 nights, which ended today. Our "cottage" was clean and was recently renovated. Staff was very helpful and nice. Although they advertise wifi, beware it doesn't work. You have a connection but no service. 3 days of the same things with good weather the last 2, so it is a service problem and not a weather problem. (you don't come here for wifi anyways, you come to fish) Rented a small fishing boat the first day. The owner, shop vacuumed the water out for us as it rained heavily the day before. The boat worked decent although it was very well used. ( Seats where starting to fall off and motor was in need of a tune up) Our neighbors who were regulars there were very nice and added to our first visit. (thanks) The only reason for not 5 stars was that it seemed unorganized. Day one, had to wait to go fishing as there was no gas for the boats. Day 2 we rented a pontoon boat so that nearby family could come out with us. Well no pontoon boat as apparently is was not working properly. So had to cancel with the family and use another small fishing boat for the day. I had to ask for a discount, which should have been offered. ( I run a business and I feel customers should be offered something if the business can not fulfill their end, plus I lost another couple hours of fishing waiting to see if they could get a boat running for me) They ended up covering the gas I used to make up for my inconvenience(which is all I asked for cause I understand things happen, most people would be looking for much more) All in all I had a very pleasant stay. I definitely would consider staying again, although I would more than likely look to try somewhere else first next time due to the little things that went wrong. Keep in mind they are new owners and i'm sure they are learning the business. Hopefully they will get things more in line and make this little gem a huge success.

Our family usually has an annual cottage family reunion. For the several years we have been going, we overall have had great experiences. However, from the moment we got to the Fish and Rest Resort, we were plagued with problems. 1. They have a nonsensical policy of giving out the pontoon during the worst time to fish i.e. 8am – 6pm only; 2. There was no firewood for purchase on site; 3. Very limited play area; (unlike the pictures on the website that strategically show ample playing area); 4. The children’s play items located outside were utterly filthy; 5. Wifi connection was non-existent; 6. One of the bedrooms in the 4 bedroom cottage was infested with bugs and therefore limited space available for the numerous guests staying there; 7. Boat launch is a joke; 8. Toilets got clogged in multiple cottages, even though management came by to “fix” the toilets, they shortly went back to their non-working state; 9. Management was incredibly difficult to deal with. Will NOT be staying here again, your money will be better spent else where. Avoid if possible!

We stayed in this facility recently. To be exact July 2nd week of 2021. It was kept very neat and clean. The new owners are very friendly. The boat rental was so easy and the boat was neat and clean. Real value for money. The cottages are top to bottom renovated. The pool water was so clean. I have to mention the owners are doing a great job. Thanks to Savio, Anto and Seyin for accommodating our demands and requests during our stay. Definitely recommend this place.

Do not go here! Bunch of crooks! Claimed we damaged the prop on a pontoon meanwhile only verification of the damage was a photo on one of the employees phones, no pre trip inspection of the boat either. Will not return thats for sure.

I have given the one star for only one reason - their attitude towards the guests. Most of the issues we experienced at this resort could have been resolved with a friendly staff behaviour and customer service...none of which was existent at this place. Some of the issues we experienced: A) Check-in experience was stressful as we were slapped with additional charges which were not originally communicated to us I.e., parking fee for additional vehicle while staying at the four bedroom cottage ( total of nine guests ) B) Pontoon not available for early hours or late evening C) Every time we asked for something or had a request, we were told that owners have to make a decision on this request. Front office staff was not empowered to make simple decisions and fulfil guest requests. D) There was no view of the lake - at best we could call it a swamp view. Only positive I can think of this place is the newly renovated clean accommodations and an onsite above ground pool. I think if they invest little bit money in training their staff in customer service, things would run more smoothly.

Welcome to the swamp ah eee.Upon arrival was a little worried seeing the boat graveyard and embarrassed having booking this place.Putting that aside we launched the boat into the super thick weeds.Feeling bad at this point about the launch we attempted to tie boat off at dock when cleat almost came off in my hand.Taking all my strength not to break down we went to cottage as they call it when really is just a large room attached to the back of their home.One bed at back of room and no bed couch where was i supposed to sleep.Well at this point i just wanted out of there.We were charged one night because of the turning away bookings so they said.We tried pretty well all the resorts and motels in the area for accommodations but were unsuccessful so we had to travel home.I remember the last thing the owner said to me have a nice weekend.YA REAL NICE THANKS!!!
