The best fish and chips in Lindsay. Also tried the Greek salad which was excellent for my taste. Service was very friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the bottomless coffee as well. The price was reasonable.

Delicious fresh fish. We have halibut and chips and coleslaw (lunch size) Freshly cooked within minutes . Not too much batter. Very popular and busy. Great for take out too. Don't go expecting decor or wine - go for the food. Highly recommend.

I had the haddock and fries and really enjoyed it. The fish was flaky and the breading light, though I docked a star because the breading was greasier than other fish places I've visited. The fries were the classic thick cut, fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside; delicious.

Ordered 1 pc of halibut. That's all I wanted. Staff looked at me like there was something wrong with me. "You don't want fries"? Charged me $9.00 for the smallest piece of fish I've ever had from Captain George's.

I had 2 piece halibut and fries. It was pretty good . I enjoyed the fish...my only complaint is that the fries tasted like that were cooked in old oil. They did not taste fresh at all...The fish was very good though. Service was very good....prices reasonable. I will probably go back again one day and try it again.

Ordered fish and chips for pickup. The fish and chips are good, but when you order 3 orders of fish and ask for lemons and you get one lemon slice it's a little disappointing.

My wife and I stopped in this afternoon for a quick bite to eat before heading back on the road. The restaurant was clean with plenty of places to sit and when it came time to order we were served within a few minutes of sitting down. We both ordered the fish and chips (2 piece meal) which was excellent and served hot and was delicious. This is one of our favorite places to stop in whenever we can get a chance to while visiting family nearby. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to feed their fish and chips cravings. Thank you for the quick service and Merry Christmas to you all!

I grew up eating at this restaurant, every time I heard we were going to Captain George's I was over the moon. We new the staff personally so it's always been more than just a restaurant to us. Also my favorite thing on the menu was the poutine, had it every time :)

We live in Toronto and bring my father in law here once a month in the winter 2 or 3 times in the summer. We drove out today and we asked for an extra sliced lime and she said no.price of lemons have gone up..So has gas yet we drive out here because we are loyal customers..guess what never again.It would have been more lucrative for you to give the extra slice of lemon..Add up what you've lost with us.mostly three of us..but we also come with a family of 4...so disappointed

Had lunch here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The halibut and chips were delicious, light and crispy and just the perfect portion. Coffee, meh , not so great but hey, that’s not their specialty. The place is clean and seating is comfortable. I will definitely be going back and would recommend it 100%.

Best fish and chips around, as well as the best Captain George location! Great place to sit down and eat or to order takeout. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. Fish is lightly battered, chips are homemade and cooked perfectly, fresh homemade coleslaw. Great price for the size of portions you get. The only downfall is sometimes it can be very difficult to find a parking spot, but it's worth it. Highly recommended!!

Just payed over $80 and got 8 “half pieces” of halibut . I have eaten at this location as well as plenty others before and have never received fish so small. These lots really fit in my palm…. When I went to complain about the sizes I was told that their was a “halibut shortage and prices are up and this is how they are being shipped” Even if I didnt think that was a complete Fib of a story it STILL Would have been good to know that before taking my money. so to anyone reading this post DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR HALF PORTIONS OF HALIBUT.
