So I'm just letting you know that I have the fish and fries and its always great! My friends are always trying different things and are really happy with the food. Service is excellent and timely. So we always leave a good tip. And prices are good not expensive in my opinion. Great place to go for a great meal!

Was very disappointed by the portion size of the fish and chips. Used to get a round piece of fish with nice amount of fish in each bite. Now they have cut the fish in half and are serving long flat pieces of fish. Definitely a step down from before. Service was good.

The waitress was awesome.. she took great care of everyone in the restaurant and cleared tables.. she was spot on with our order. The food however was mediocre at best for taste.. portion size for fish was smaller than other fish restaurants.. the portion size of the whole meal was extremely below average.. only a handful of fries. We all left not full.. it was priced too high for what you get.

Poor service and management, 3 piece fish and chips was very over cooked.. although halibut was delicious. Appetizer was forgotten. Confronted management/owner about concerns and issues, she was very stand off with me. Her staff could tell was new and under stress, while she sat on her computer in the corner. This was our first time ever going there, and will never go back, will go to Cap'N Sharkys next time!

Terrible experience.... Started with our party of 2 being seated at a table for 6.. 10 mins to take our drink order ... The decor was not very appealing... In the middle of our meal another diner took a loud phone call and proceeded to talk on the phone for almost 10 mins... And the waitress said nothing... It just feels like They've given up... I would recommend picking another restaurant

I love this place. The new owners are fantastic. I really love the fish and chips. The food is amazing the building is clean and the food served in a timely fashion. I work different shifts and speed is key. I can be in and out in 15-20 minutes. They also let me call ahead and pre order so it’s ready when I arrive. Great place for kids too.!

UNBELIEVABLE I am really blown away at the unbelievable way this establishment is following the covid pass system.We have been going to this place for a long time now,but it is the last time we shall set foot in this establishment. Upon entering we showed our pass,then the Lady wants to take us to our table and i stopped her.I said to her,are you not going to scan our pass, she said it's OK.Upon looking around it was not very busy, so what is the hurry. This establishment does not take this protocol very seriously. You wonder why we can't get rid of this covid. SORRY BUT WE DO NOT TRUST YOU We are seriously thinking of filing a complaint to the proper authority's. Went here for a birthday dinner. We split clam strips, Calamari, and lobster mac and cheese appies between 2 people and had crab legs and the seafood plate as entrees. Seafood plate was very good. 2 pieces of fish, shrimp and scallops all cooked perfectly. Scallops were not rubbery or chewy at all. GF had the crab legs which she also enjoyed very much. Portions we're fine, we both left very full. There are definitely cheaper meals to be had in town, but if you're craving a good feed of seafood, this is probably the best place to go. We were first time customers, but we'll be back some time.

I was So fortunate to be served by Taylor swift at this location. To be more precise, I was served by Taylor, who's service was swift, attentive, accurate, warm and genuine. When I requested the appetizer ( coconut shrimp.... yum! ) to be served well before the meal, it was hot, crisp and on our table in 5 minutes! Thank you Taylor! I enjoyed the Halibut two piece fish and chips which was a good as I remembered, my wife was pleasantly surprised by her delicious fish tacos! **FYI I have NEVER had a bad meal at Joey's Seafood, and this location was no exception: top notch! If you haven't been to Joeys for a couple of years, you REALLY should go back and see their extensive seafood menu. Calimari? They've got it! Congrats to management for hiring superior staff. We'll be back to try the lemon meringue pie. And to the other people who have panned this place........ WTH, which planet are you from? And have you been back lately to see the improvement? Any restaurant can have an off night if staff don't show up, so if you aren't happy, talk to management THAT DAY, don't blast them here. To new viewers, come on down, the food and service is a-1! ;)

I always forget about Joey's and happen to remember it exists on a Tuesday... All you can eat fish!! The fries I had during my last visit were the best fries I've had in a restaurant.. and I LOVE Red Robin fries. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Maybe a little on the greasy side but you can't avoid that when eating deep fried food. The fish tank is very pretty and seems to be well taken care of. They should put a few more fishies in it tho! Our service was great and the staff friendly.

Service was very good, our first time here and our last !! Wanting to use a coupon found in our local news paper was very miss-leading.It read, Buy one get the other 50% off. Well my husband and I wanted Halibut and the coupon is only good for Pollock, not even sure what kind of gross fish that is. Portions are very small, still hungry at the end of our meal, and ending up costing a little over 60.00. Very Disappointing !!

Just got back from this place. It was way too expensive for what we got. At that price, we should have at least had bottomless pop or endless fries or something! The fish was mediocre and the fries were cheap. Food was good but service was bad. Was served by a girl named "Emma" (on her name tag). Im guessing either Emma is new, was not trained properly, or maybe just having a bad day today: 1.Never introduced herself. Common courtesy in the industry is "Hi,my name is Emma, Im your server today, can I get you started with anything to drink?" 2.Never looked customer in the eye until it was time to pay. 3.Checked on customer half heartedly once. 4.I wasnt even done my food (on my phone for work) and she comes over and tries to clear my table while asking "Are you done?" No, Im not done and its rude to ask customers if they are done. You would say "Can I clear some plates from your table?" 5.When I was paying for my food, she was looking straight at the debit machine to see how much of a tip I would leave. Maybe its her age(looks like she's under 20), lack of training or she simply doesnt like serving customers or perhaps she is having a bad day, but it turned an otherwise good meal into a negative experience. Definitely a learning opportunity for her.

Very pricey for a Joey's. The place was clean and tidy. Food was good but servings were VERY small for the price. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, they could have added more pasta to make it a meal. I had to order another dish because I was still hungry after that dish. My husband had the North American Halibut dinner and his was okay They are licensed but only sell wine by the glass or half litre, no bottles or full litres. Standard JB Triggs wines with a hefty price.

Visited twice while I was in town. Both times I received wonderful service. Our server was quick and attentive. Food was fast to come out and was hot as fresh from the kitchen. We were regulars, but choked on refried, crusted black chicken and unbelievably, horribly burned fries. The only server was understanding, but argued that management “was aware,” but nothing could be done. Three weeks earlier, we had a similar experience. Our requests to have the bill adjusted was ignored. Don’t go there unless you want drinks only! We will NEVER return. SAD!

It's fresh and freshly cooked. The service is good and some of the specials are a very good deal. Two can dine on Mondays for less than 25 including tip. All you can eat on Tuesday but I haven't tried it, don't know how much it is.

We tried the clam chowder which was tasty but lacking clams and potatoes etc. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was average......not much lobster. However the Blackened Cajun Snapper was excellent along with the rice and fresh vegetables. The service was fine and we enjoyed the house wine and the wonderful view while dining by the windows. This was a first experience at Joey's and would return.

Unfortunately disappointing... I was looking forward to trying this place but it was a huge let down. We ordered 3 items to share and 2 mains. We received exactly 4 pieces of coconut shrimp which meant 2 for each person, a shrimp & lobster Mac and cheese that was devoid of shrimp and lobster and Cajun shrimp which was nothing more than cocktail shrimp tossed in Cajun spice "tail on". Our mains were the shrimp and lobster sourdough grill... TERRIBLE!!! It was two pieces of fried bread with a small layer of what tasted like nothing but onion and celery. We opened them up and could not find the elusive shrimp and lobster.. had two bites and put it down, we left immediately. Absolutely dreadful.

Absolutely amazing place to go and eat. The entire restaurant has beautiful decor and is kept nice and clean. The service is very friendly and the food is also amazing. Our visits were always pleasant and we will visit again very soon!

Joey's has great food and very nice staff. But their prices are easily double the other Fish and chips franchise in the area. Now I only get Halibut so I can't talk about anything else. But the other place has the same amount of fish and more fries. I found the quality of both places on par with eachother. I would recommend the other place. 2 people can eat for the same price that Joey's charges.

Staff try really hard to provide service. Meals are NOT what is advertised. Advertised signature food calimari ...10 pieces no onion or tsiseki. A real crowd pleaser services with chili sauce. Yes really. Tacos poor quality.... Again a special boldly advertised. To repeat....staff try to be the best but the food is extraordinarily poor. Try at your own risk. Corporate take note.

Long wait to be seated and long wait to be served. Very small pieces of fish which consisted mostly of batter. Not even close to being worth the price. Not a place I want to return to.

This restaurant had a convenient location for us, right by our hotel, and overlooks the city. The place was very busy, and while we were seated right away (in the middle, which is never very comfortable) it took a while to get a menu. They needed at least one more employee - the two servers were running off their feet between seating guests, serving, and taking payment. My view wasn't great - staring at the kitchen instead of the windows overlooking town - and there was a TV (showing what amounted to YouTube clips of people hurting themselves trying stunts, which is better than the news, I suppose) that I had to crane my neck to see. The food was adequate. I had the "pan-seared or blackened Basa" - I chose the Cajun style, and that probably wasn't a good choice in hindsight. I could taste the spice, which was nice, but the fish itself wasn't that flavourful. The fries were fine, the rice was good (it had a mix with wild rice and some veggies in it). If I came in when it was less busy, got a window seat, and chose something pan-seared, I'd probably have given this a much better rating.
