Best meals of our mini trip. This restaurant has fabulous with views over the lake. The building itself is spacious with a grand cabin feel. The food we has was delicious, try the scallops for appies and the duck meal was fantastic.
I just stopped in for a hot mocha after hiking 3.5 miles up hill in the snow. Was able to plug in a recharge my devises. I also got a free map of the hiking trails.
The receptionist at front door is too cocky!. First and last time i go there. I will inform others too. Some people they think they own the best restaurants.
The food was very nice, and the restaurant clean and pleasant.
We did the 5 Course with wine pairings and it was fantastic. Sat outside on the patio overlooking the lake, which meant the music was a bit quieter and we could enjoy all the people/dogs on the shore. The food was fabulous. Like lick your plate fabulous and the wine pairings were honestly unreal. Loved the fact that the wines were mostly from BC and from wineries that aren't completely mainstream (aka can't find in Costco). Huge shout outs to Isaac & Mark, our server and bartender, who were so damn knowledgeable and lovely. The restaurant and Lodge itself are rustic and beautiful, no pretensions because they know they serve excellent food and drinks. The price for the meal & drinks was more than fair, particularly given the quality.
Wonderful ambiance, amazing food and incredible staff! A particular shoutout to Issac for being warm, friendly and overall fantastic! Will return just because of him!
Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Arrived at 8:15am, and received at 9am, thus it was a long wait. We ordered the classic 2 eggs meal and the eggs benedict. We found the meal ok, except we thought the fingerling potatoes were a little odd. The coffee was not good. The decor is nice. The sausages were good. Very pricy as well.
What a hidden gem. This beautiful little oasis is only a 10 minute drive from Jasper. Tucked away and surrounded by trees, mountains and a beautiful lake! We were seated in-side, against a window lined wall where we enjoyed the view over our 5 course dinner! The dinner was lovely! We also opted for the wine pairing! So with it! All the dishes will well presented and very tasty! Top items for us were the Herb House Focaccia with MAPLE butter! And the Albert Bison! Both mouthwatering, delicate, flavourful dishes!! Service was also excellent, Andrea was very attentive and kept with the rhythm of the meal very well! Mark the bartender was lovely! Popped over to chat about Sherry! Overall a great experience! Would go back, certainly!!!
Excellent food and service. Terrific views.
This is a top notch dining experience, minus the service. We went for breakfast and really enjoyed the food. It wasn't very busy, but the service was very lack and the server was quite rude. Unfortunate service, great food. The food is worth it though. We loved the view too.
Breakfast
Amazing dinner at The Pines Restaurant. Isaac is a great server. Compliments to the Chef & all staff. Must try the bison dinner!
Delicious breakfast. Excellent service. Amazing view.
The food was excellent. Isaac, our server, and Mark, our bartender, took excellent care of us. We had the 5 course Patio Tasting, which was very much worth it. We would happily come back.

I think we hit an off day.....and it was brunch at 2:30....trying to understand why a restaurant with good reviews could be such a disappointment. First I'll take ownership...I ordered crab cakes miles from an ocean....my bad. The pre meal bun was dry but saved by the herb butter. The pate was excellent, with I think it was a cranberry relish....very good. Bread pudding with frozen strawberries. Couldn't do it, dry and stale. We paid the bill....server was apologetic but not to blame. Won't try this one again. Pretty sure.
Love this restaurant for both Food and service. We tried several dishes during our stay in the resort and the food was delicious! Graig was our server on our last visit to the restaurant and he was beyond amazing! He was very attentive and friendly. Food and customer service are amazing here, and I’m definitely coming back!
We went here for breakfast around 9am and it was the perfect time as the restaurant was quiet and not busy. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the view from the windows is stunning. The menu has a good variety of options, but the food itself was just okay. The staff was wonderful!
My husband and I tried the 5 Course Patio Tasting Menu for $65/pp and we were both very disappointed. Flavors were lacking, portions were small (I'm 120lbs and I was still hungry at the end), and slow service (2hrs on a Tuesday night with less than 30% capacity). We've tried other restaurants in Jasper for dinner - Syrahs, Raven Bistro, and even Jasper Brewing, all of which we enjoyed more, regardless of price point.
Spent a few days in Jasper & decided to visit the Pines for dinner. Started with an old fashioned with a strip of maple bacon in it. So yummy! We shared two appetizers the bison tartare & a wedge salad. Both were so delicious. For entrees we chose the duck breast & the trout dishes. Just simply amazing dishes! It was simply a perfect night out of dining. Thank you to the very attentive & caring staff???????? #thepinesrestaurant #pyramidlakeresort #jasperpark #holidaygetaway #greatdining

Enjoyed a 5 course set menu on the patio and absolutely loved it. The quality of each menu item was amazing, we especially loved the scallop and the bison sous vide. We were pleasantly surprised to find Ontario VQA wines on the menu as well. Our server Hayley took great care of us for this experience. Highly recommend.
Came here for lunch Great service Fantastic coffee(must get) The water taste wonderful as well Make sure you got extra potato for you brunch One of the "best" thing from this meal
An absolute great experience! Came to the pines before a dark sky tour. I was expecting a nice dinner but they really went above and beyond. Everything is presented beautifully and the servers provide great recommendations. The food also speaks for itself. Every bite was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone. I went at night so wasn’t able to get the view but if I could go back. I would try for a earlier dinner to get the view of pyramid lake.
The view and atmosphere are absolutely wonderful. The service was good. We went for breakfast. The coffee was pretty dissapointing. In a place like this, with the prices they have, it should be fabulous, but it wasn't even good. The food was mostly great, but the crab cake in my bennie was loaded with a lot of raw garlic, which was a bit much for a person to handle a breakfast time.
Service
Good atmosphere with a great view. Got the West Coast Benedict and Alpine for breakfast.
Service
Delicious breakfast, with a gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains. Such a lovely way to start the day. Paris our waitress was incredibly friendly. Definitely would come back here. Thank you!
Meh. We were staying at the Pyramid Lake Resort and had breakfast at the Pines one morning. The food is pretty pedestrian and I literally had to 'fish' for the teeny tiny piece of trout under the egg in my Trout Benedict. What they call 'hashbrowns' are in fact pan-fried potato cubes. Service was good though and the view is spectacular.

We had booked the long weekend at pyramid lake resort. The resort it's self is beautiful however, the pines restaurant was a let down. 1st: They charged us for our water... 2nd: When my girlfriend had asked to order from the kids menu due to the regular menu being limited to things she didn't like we were told no.... (There are very little options when it comes to the menu) 3rd: The servings are super SMALL for a $117 bill at the end. I'm every disappointed. The service was great, But I'm still hungry in my room writing this review, going to order pizza
The food was amazing, perfect sized portions, and very delicious! The servers were so friendly and accommodating without being “too much”. We went for breakfast and HAD to go back for dinner. Thanks ????

The Pines is nestled on the shore pf Pyramid lake, a scant 10 minutes from Jasper. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, with fantastic views of the lake. Come for a sunset dinner and you won’t be disappointed. We had the bison and a salad and they were delicious. The meat was perfect, tasty and tender, and the salad was fresh and crisp. Our server Sarah was attentive and friendly snd the experience was exceptional.
The portions were quite small. The short rib was good, but the sides are barely there. Not good value.
Great food and our server Craig was awesome
The Good: We ordered the bison, which was very tender and the sauce was delicious. The view was beautiful. The Bad: It took 30 minutes from when we were seated to get our drinks. Luckily we ordered our meal at the same time. Although the sauce was good there was hardly any of it on the plate and the waitress didn’t check on us until the end of the meal. We also had butter knives to cut the bison. And the potatoes and broccoli had no flavour. For $40/plate, I left hungry. Also, when we made the reservation we noted it was our honeymoon and they didn’t acknowledge it at all. In summary, the food is over priced and the service was sub-par. I won’t be returning.
Breakfast
Sooo beautiful! Must see. Very close to parking as well.
Dined at the Pines for dinner with my partner the other day and was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality. First of all, the dining room was immaculate. The views are very picturesque. Staff members were very attentive, particularly Mark and Isaac. The bison tartar was one to write home about. Simply delectable. The old fashioned cocktail with table side service was very enjoyable. Keep up the good work team!
Servers were friendly and helpful, but man the food and portions are a joke… the duck breast at $30 was just 2 thin strips, one duck can probably make them 10 meals here. Taste was also mediocre at best. Our bill came out to be ~$100 for my posted photos plus one drink. Will be ordering a pizza after this
Food was amazing! Atmosphere in the evening was romantic and cozy! Our server Catherine was very knowledgeable, personable, friendly and obviously loves her job! We will make this a regular place to visit when we are in Jasper:)
Beautiful place and high quality meals! The breakfast was delicious!
Nice experience! The trout is a great choice!
I loved their food.I had a bison and a pork & bear meat dish. The flavors are very real and interesting. This place has a very relaxing ambience with a lake side view. Down side: never visit here if you hungry. Small portion and pricey. Not too many options to choose from.
