You must have seen that it has an average rating is really high, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the score is quite faithful. If people have bothered to leave their review when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Fish Shop belongs to the category of Sporting goods store.
As a local, here's my spin...Skates can be sharpened here. Bike, ski, and skates rentals are available.
We are so glad we stopped in this store. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. We were given great advice on where to mountain bike and even joined a group ride one evening while in Jasper. If you’re looking for rentals, gear, tune ups or general advice, this is your spot.
This store had everything I needed for the outdoors for such a small town business. Very impressed!
(Translated) Good selection of high quality sportswear. The ski rental is very good and gives very good skis. The staff is nice and modern. (Original) Gute Auswahl an hochwertiger Sportbekleidung. Der Ski verleih ist sehr gut und verleiht sehr gute Skis. Das Personal ist nett und modern.
Just bought some new Shoes from here today. I was greeted at the door and instantly directed towards what I was looking for. Friendly staff and great service. Head on down if you and looking for anything sports related and even more! Ironically enough I was looking for these exact type of shoe!
Went there on the 30th of May 2021, got recommended by an other store who didn't work on bike. The crank screw of a bike was loose and those gentlemen offered to fix it! I was so grateful and was able to keep biking on that beautiful Sunday. Thanks again!
I work in the industry, and just stopped in to check out some cleats for my partner. The rental cleats are looking old, and worn not something I would put my partner in. I was polite saying no thank you to the sales associate, who then became rude and judgemental on my decision to pass. We left, and will shop elsewhere.
Poor service, unhelpful staff.
We rented some camping gear which was all of good quality and condition. They also allowed us to return it late with no extra cost.
Had just what I needed, as a result of forgetting to pack a few essentials. Friendly staff! Changing room was open and regular covid protocols were in place.
We rented snow/ice cleats. Enjoyed the service very much!
Nice spot for everything sports!!
Unimpressed with the "man-splaining". The saleman in the store assumed we were amateur hikers because we were purchasing hiking boots last minute. Went on to ask us if we had bear spray, the importance of electrolytes and protein bars.... Coming off as a bit agressive. Avoid if you don't like pressure sales and a salesman that will take one look at you and make many many many wrong assumptions. Or better yet, just head straight to the saleswoman. She was much more pleasant to be around.
Had to get my bike fixed. They help us right away. Good price to. Thanks so much.
Awesome friendly knowledgable staff! Great one stop sport shop!!
Excellent customer service. Both Jamie and Meghan made our out of province trip to Jasper so easy. Would highly recommend.
I could not be happier with the service I received from the staff at this store! I was in need of a Planks pullover, that does not ship to Canada, except to a few stores, Jasper Source for Sport being one of them. Not only did they always pick up the phone on the 1st or 2nd ring, but each staff member was pleasant and helpful. I spoke with Shane, Mark, Ann and manager Doug, they were all there to assist with getting this pullover for my daughter and shipped to Victoria. Our daughter knew that Planks did not ship to private residences, so was absolutely thrilled and surprised when she received her gift in the mail. They all went over and above to make this happen! Thank you!!
Amazing service — after my bike fell over and the derailleur hanger bent out of shape just as we were starting our Jasper to Vancouver bike trip, these guys were happy to take in my bike after hours to fix it by morning in addition to hold onto my partner's bike as we had to take a taxi to the nearest campground for the night. The next morning, my bike was back to new and ready for the next 1300 km. Again, couldn't recommend them enough. ????
We had rented bike form Vicious Bikes also in Jasper but forgot to take our photo ID, honest mistake. Guy there was very rude and said it was against the law to rent bikes without it. The man in this shop was so helpful and saved the day. Let us take bikes there and then without ID throwing in pump, inner tubes and locks. One bike did squeak but all were fine and we had a great day. Did manage a look around the store and it seemed to cater for everything and was well stocked as a bonus. Give the man we saw 10 out of 10.
Super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The local spot to go for advice on everything from fishing, hockey & skiing to bikes and SUP. They carry some great brands you wouldn't expect to normally see in a general sporting goods shop.. super community oriented store, I've been in Jasper 30 years, they've never steered us wrong.
Poor service. Wandered around the store for 30 minutes and know one even offered to help. Left disapointed.
Thanks Marc for your great help! You saved my trip to Banff!
Super friendly and helpful staff. They helped us unbox and try out one of their Kuma camp chairs so we could try before we buy. Thanks for the awesome customer service.
Super friendly staff and a nice selection of products.
They are partners with curries guided tours tried for 2 days to rent a boat to go fishing no answer. Voice mail full and says Astoria hotel will take reservations and payments, they tell you to email and even take your info at the desk but never hear back from them. Very disappointing
Awesome staff
Wow! What a rude greeting by the old guy in the pack of sales guys! Very unhelpful! Thankfully that experience gave us the opportunity to go to Totem where the sales gal was warm and friendly finding us the ice cleats needed for our Canyon walk!! Cheers to Totem!!
Really great and helpful staff. Very reasonable rentals!
Staff were very helpful and informative. Offered competing product options and were diligent about cleanliness and covid19 prevention policies
Little stock. Super expensive. Staff seemed to want to rush you out the door rather than help
Great place to rent mountain bikes. Fair pricing, quality bikes and very knowledgeable staff. The guy at the counter recommended some amazing trails and scenery to check out. We had the opportunity to see a bunch of Elks and Deers along our trails too. They are currently open later than a lot of other places and you can keep your bike over night.
Great service. Great product. Great prices. And super helpful staff! Reccomend for rentals, purchases, and any other outdoor activity items!
We went to Source for Sports on the Saturday evening to rent skates for Sunday. Firstly, they charged us for 2 days of rentals for each pair of skates. This cost 60$! We tried on the skates in the store and they fit fine. When we went out to skate my partner told me his skates were unbelievably uncomfortable and that they felt completely worn out. We ended up leaving the lake after ten minutes because they were hurting his feet so badly. When we took the skates back and I informed the staff of this, they stated that it was his fault because he tried them on in the store and they were fine. Very unhappy with this service, a waste of money. Will not return.
5 stars for the customer service
Came with with a broken break pad on my skis, and left within 15m minutes with a new one installed for a third of the price that I expected to pay. Amazing!
We hired two mountainbikes this afternoon, allthough bike rental is quite expensive in Jasper for a reasonable price, very helpfull staff, good bikes and even a can of bear spray for 'just in case'. We did see a black bear but didn't need the spray. They're open till 9.00 pm so a half day rental starting at 3.00 pm is no problem. At an other shop we had to pay for a 24 hour rental because they were closing at 6.00 pm.
Good selection. Poor service. Employee got upset with us because we were trying on boots ourselves and no one was helping us. Bought the boots anyways.
I rented Ski and boots. It wasn’t expensive but the equipment was old and not in good shape. The store manager was very rude and he lied. When I returned the Ski they told me they were broken. I had no damage fee so he wanted 400$ for four year old ski in bad shape. In the end I agreed to pay 200$ but I still think I got scammed. The value of the ski was less than 200$ and he admitted that at least the binding was ok.
I love stopping here whenever I’m in town. They have everything you need to get on the trails or the hill. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, typically going above and beyond to help you out. Great little shop!
Rented a couple of hardtails. The bike mechanic probably didn't count on being asked questions by a former bike mechanic. Jumped on to test ride a Giant and the forks immediately bottomed out with little force and would not lock out at all, not a drop of oil on the chain and the seatpost which was clearly a replacement was too short for the bike. Was offered a different bike but the rear brake lever needed bleeding and was about 5mm from touching the handlebar. Mechanic, tried to show me that the R brake was ok. This could proved to be a major hazard for someone who doesn't know better. Both bikes wouldn't hold the seat post in place. Not my best experience with a bike shop.
Good people here, they know their stuff and really help you find what you're looking for!!
the staff and manager, really rude. They were not willing to listen to me. VERY expensive and will rob you of your money
The spot you go to if you need anything from shoes to paddle boards. This business is community oriented and is always ready to serve in any way they can. They are there to help from helping you get the right fit for yourself with an item, to helping you get hooked up with the perfect gift. Highly recommend Jasper Source for Sports.
Very professional ski tuneup. Their tech really knows what he is doing. Also one of the few places in town that rent ice cleats to hike the Maligne canyon. A must do in the winter.
Living in town, I've always trusted the gang at source with my skates, sticks and riding gear. So when I decided a new bike was needed I popped in to see what's good. Within 10 minutes I'd already been shown the bike of dreams, picked from Marc who owns one already. I came back in the day after purchasing it smiling ear to ear and ecstatic! It was everything I wanted and more....for less $$!! (So that goes towards new pads, so I can ride more naturally) 10/10 would reccomened to anyone looking for amazing service, a great range and stellar staff
Very friendly and supportive staff. I went in when they had their morning rush on Saturday morning. I asked if they have a bike box that I can have since I need to box my bike to get it on the shuttle to Lake Louise. They were too busy so I went back to my hostel and when I came back, the staff said he didn’t forget about me and he will go check for it right now. He told me they have 2 boxes and they charge $15 for a bike box. I was hesitating but his manager told him to just give it to me. That was very nice of him. Since my hostel is right next door, I had to take my bike back and the manager helped me taking off the pedals and showed me how to do it and how to put them back. I had to come back one more time because of my multi tool fell apart so I had to borrow theirs to remove the handlebar. All 3 times, they were very helpful and friendly. They asked about my bike trip and my time in Jasper. I would definitely recommend this place. I didn’t make any purchase but it seems like they get a very good collection of bikes and accessories.
best place to buy outdoor clothings
We hired two bikes from there and the staff (especially the Aussie chick from Adelaide) were super helpful in selecting us the right bikes and highlighting the best tracks for our fitness level. Highly recommend!
The staff was quite friendly and had exactly what we needed
Very friendly helpful staff. Todd was great to deal with.
