Nice cozy atmosphere, good food with lots of selection of seafood and wild game meats. Overall service was good but not a lot of communication from the server.
Great food and great service. One of the best services I’ve experienced in Canada so far! The ingredients were all fresh and well-cooked. We ordered the New-York steak, roasted lamb and meat loaf as main dishes, the meat were juicy and tender, even better than we had expected. Definitely a refreshing first-try! Will recommend it to other friends.
Beautiful view, nice ambiance and great service. Some of the most delicious and flavourful food I've had in Jasper. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! …
Very warm atmosphere and the staff were great! Excellent view! The menu has a whole array of different options for your pallet. We chose a wild game and seafood option (Filo Yukon Arctic Char and Wild Game Bolognese). Both were delicious - more than enough to make your taste buds dance! Highly recommend this spot if you are staying in Jasper.
Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Jasper!! Fantastic service and the food and drinks were delicious! I had the mango basil martini. Mmmm. The French onion soup was amazing and the rack of lamb was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant!!
Fabulous!! Seafood chowder was delicate and tasty. The Elk stroganoff pictured was perfectly done! Be warned.. portions are generous. Highly recommended!
We booked a table for 8.00 pm. They were very very busy. Terrifically friendly and efficient service. They brought us pints instead of 12oz of the brown ale and the pale ale in error and were happy to comp us the 6oz difference. Lobster entrée, elk stroganoff, fried cod were very good. We tipped 20 %.
Very great service. Food was quick . Waitress was nice. 5 star for this experience
Visited this place while on holidays. Nice atmosphere upstairs. The food was a fair price for portion, quality, and taste. Service was attentive and friendly. Open flame candle on the table was a nice romantic touch and highly appreciated as this isn't something I see often anymore in restaurants.
Great ambiance, relaxing environment. Seafood chowder and green salad were excellent. Great flavors. Elk stroganoff is amazing very rich taste. All in all excellent restaurant.
We thoroughly enjoyed this meal. The service was excellent, the view was outstanding, and the food was great. The generously portioned crab was fresh and melted in your mouth. The game meatloaf was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Soup de jour and smoked salmon appetizer both were on point. The crumble dessert was served piping hot from the oven and was so delicious. Highly recommended.
It’s a great experience. If you love seafood then this is the place for you. Amazing food and amazing staffs service. Chef Sushant he makes magic out of food. Super delicious and a must try in Jasper. Would highly recommend.
This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge where we were staying. Food and service were both great!
Great service, nice view and the food was delicious
Service was good but food was really disappointing. I ordered shrimps and lobster and it was overcooked. My wife ordered elk straughnoff and it said braised meat which usually means it's soft and tender and would fall of the bone, this was …
great meal, just what i needed after a chilly round of golf. one of the best clam chowders in north america!! definitely will eat here again, the owners are from Quebec and the quality does rival one to the east coast restaurant!
I had the Fiddle Fish Pot and it was awesome!! The server was very kind, and I liked that they brought the board showing the specials over to our table so we could see them instead of trying to remember. It is a little expensive but for the quality of the food and the service, it’s definitely somewhere you have to try!
The chowder is up there with the best in New England! A brilliant meal, all on its Own. Glad for the doggy bag. Hope for another visit! ????????♂️????
The chowder was delicious! One of the best I’ve ever ate. We had chowder, our entrees, and also took dessert to go. My only issue was with the fish cakes, they were a bit bland, if they didn’t come with the sauce for dipping, they’d be under seasoned. But everything otherwise was very good. Service was good and attentive. Appreciate the bread and butter that came with our meals.
Food was very quick although expensive for what you got. Fantastic atmosphere, view and service. Lunch sized portions. Not all types of fish listed in fish pot were actually in the dish. Upstairs location with a nice patio. Daily specials. Pictured is fish pot, and schnitzel with sides on seperate plate.
Good food, excellent service. The portions were excellent, we left feeling stuffed! We also ordered an appetizer not pictured below
This is a true restaurant. Bread and water are provided without asking. The server we had must have been trained in Europe. Very professional, attentive and skilled . The Austrian style schnitzel was prepared to perfection. Possibly the …
Sometimes you read great reviews and decided to go to a place, only to realize what the heck! …
Nice place for dinner. I tried the New York Steak. 8oz is really enough for adults. The coconut shrimp is a great appetizer. If you want to try the dessert, the Greedy Grand is the best (Don't share, haha). Just thought the pork belly was too small even it tasted great.
Location was great: easy to find and there's patio seating. Service was good for how busy it was: we went during dinner time. Prices were insane for what the food was: we expected to pay a premium (understandably) but with what we got, it feels excessive. Food was good but not for the price. Even the bread served wasn't even warmed or heated, and the butter was just those standard little plastic packets you get at a hotel continental breakfast. COVID: this place was packed and I don't think they paid any mind to the capacity and air-flow in the venue.
Awesome customer service, nice ambiance and very tasty food, quantity and quality were well above my expectations. Please visit this place during your stay in Jesper. Two thumbs up to all staff members.
Nice restaurant! Staff is friendly and food is good. My boyfriend had an under cooked salmon, but the waitress was great and offered several options to him. Cheese cake was amazing !!
I loved it. We ordered elk stroganoff and fish pot. Both were delicious, specially fish. Tomato soup was not good.
Our favorite place for dinner when we get to Jasper. Mussels are delicious. Good food and good service. Make a reservation
One of the nicest restaurants in jasper, was pretty, cozy, good food selections, the food could be a little less tacky looking and choice of vegetables, two different meals, same vegetables, eek. Very nice staff, it was better than the fairmont that's for sure, overall nice, but could be perfect if they tried a lake harder!?
Excellent restaurant. loved it excellent service congratulations.super delicious food
Lovely place to eat. A good mix of tasty cuisine and a homely, friendly atmosphere. I'm sure they do fish well but we came for the bison meatballs and elk stroganoff which were delicious.
Great food for meat alternatives. It's seafood after all!
Great seafood! Tried the fish skewer. It was a nice fish and shrimp skewer served with three types of sauces, rice, toasted vegetables and edamame. My wife had the lobster and shrimp. Also taste good.
Excellent homemade food with plenty of choice on the menu. Even the herb bread was great! Ceviche as a starter was delicious, full of flavour and served with corn chips. I had another starter as a main, the excellent fish Chowder, with several fish, mussels, prawn and a clam. A big serving for a starter, I was full after these two, but wanted to taste a dessert! The mixed red fruit pie with ice cream, not bad and coffee was good! Definitely will come back here, service very friendly from an all woman team... maybe the man was slaving behind the stove??!!
Service was really good. It was so cute having the specials board brought to your table. Overall I think the prices are more aligned with fine dining spots. The schnitzel was a huge portion. I think the bill coming to 100+ made me rethink it but had a really good time.
This was recommended by the Rocky Mountaineer announcer on our train - it really just seemed like tourist food - more focused on being "unique and local cuisine!" than on actually being good food. My shrimp was overcooked, the lobster was just okay. The wild game Bolognese was just a basic Bolognese - nothing particularly special. The mussels were actually pretty good, in all fairness - really liked them. Generally speaking though, outshined by the restaurant below it.
Absolutely delicious. Only complaint? Unclean and wet plates for our main and appetizers.
Good food and service but a little pricey. The smoked seafood chowder was great. The braised elk stroganoff just tasted like beef.
Fish pot is very delicious!! The shrimp and the laboster were very good. There are many people wait for the table, go before to have a reservations will be better.
This must have been one of the most amazing restaurants I've been to in Canada. I had there Fiddle Fish pot, a hearty rich dish, full of seafood (although I didn't have any salmon in mine) - the muscles and clams were done to perfection, and the hint of the fennel in the broth was quite nice. I also had their Maple pecan cheesecake for dessert. It looked homemade and it tasted amazing - not too sweet and a great way to end the evening. There was a slight hint of clove or excess nutmeg in the cheesecake which made it similar to a pumpkin spice sort of flavour – it wasn't bad, just slightly unexpected but it did kick up the flavour profile a notch. Perhaps even more amazing than the food was the service at the restaurant. My server (Lony (sp?))was very kind and quite engaged and it was a pleasure speaking with her. Moreover the restaurant has a really amazing views of Signal Hill and the surrounding mountains. I would definitely recommend going here. So i came back a second time...i had their smoked seafood chowder, candied salmon and chocolate souffle. Again, the food hit beyond my expectations and the service was exceptional as well.
Food was pretty good, tho prices are a bit steep for what it was. Guess that's to be expected in a more touristy town like Jasper tho. …
Every Bite was DELICIOUS! Expertly prepared and presented! Wild Mushroom Brushetta, Avocado-Seafood Ceviche, Canadian Elk Stroganoff...!!! Sofa King DELICIOUS!!
Visited this restaurant for my 1 night stay in Jasper and was blown away with their service. Such friendly staff and very accommodating as well. Had my 3 year old niece with us and they provided us with half of the portion size (& half the …
The food was really disappointing. All the meat were overcooked. We ordered the New York steak and it is much smaller than the pictures from the reviews. The soup and the service was ok.
The location is nice as it's on the second floor and you can look outside. Staff are very friendly and service is very good. Food is not as great as I was hoping and overly priced for the quality. My halibut and salmon cakes were delicious, but the presentation is not great. But they were tasty and not fishy. But my vegetarian ricotta and kale ravioli was not good at all. It tasted bitter and the sauce watered down. I informed the waitress who offered to get me something but there was nothing else I wanted. She was extremely nice and gave it to me for half price. My husband dish (fish pot) was ok but the brooth too runny. Too pricey for the quality.
Very good restaurant for family in Jasper downtown. I like staffs here, very friendly and gave me a comfortable feeling. We sat near the window and can see Jasper night life when eating. Good food and acceptable prices, highly recommended.
Dinner was fantastic and the service was excellent! We had the Fish Cakes for an appetizer. It was a fantastic choice. Crunchy with great flavour. We both had the Fish Pot, absolutely amazing! We had no room for dessert … maybe next time.
I ate dinner here on 11 July 2019 and felt lucky to get a table on the patio with no wait, but my experience somehow got progressively better!! I ordered a pear cider which was so good I needed to order another one. Having never had elk …
Wonderful food to go with the amazing views and with passionate and friendly service and a bonus of their local knowledge of things we should do. Highly recommend the authentic local Jasper experience.
