Waited at the front for a while, you could tell they were short staff. Food was good and fast, decent price for what we ordered. Wasn't that busy. There were only two waitresses but our waitress was very nice. And the other waitress we were glad we didn't have, she was a bit rude to the people beside us. But overall it was pretty good.

If I could this would be lower than a 1! Sitting outside after waiting 30 minutes for just our order yo be taken. My God there is only 8 tables and 2 waitresses and a hostess! I'm sorry really doesn't cut it when you are completely ignored. Maybe it was cause I had 2 kids I don't know but everyone else that came after were promptly served. Definitely avoid with kids Update Guessing the response from Ri kys was purely for Google as no has called me yet! Both waitresses were on shift when we got seated. After waiting half an hour I asked the hostess if anyone was going to take our order. She said yes they would be right there. We waited another 10 minutes before deciding to leave. Like I said there were only 8 tables a total of 20 customers including us. Totally unacceptable

Put signs up at the back of the truck parking for the vaccine cards and ID so us drivers aren't walking twice the distance just to eat Alot of us don't know of the recent changes. Giving it 3 stars only because it was my first time. Staff are very friendly and courteous, had fish and chips this time. Personally was not a fan of what Ricky's called coleslaw at all but the rest was good. Have my next meal there decided. Truckers don't get sit down meals often this was a good break from fast food at most truck stops. I recommend trying them out for a burger saw one walk by it looked good.

What's the sense in opening a restaurant in a TRUCK STOP when you close the doors at 8pm?? Parking lot is full of trucks and 90% of the radio chatter is where to eat since this joints closed. Somehow I think that is just a little on the stupid side..

They can’t even keep half of their menu items on hand…. Really sad you go for a hot meal sit down meal and are told 4-5 times. oh sorry we’re out of that. Management should be fired here. Not the first time to happen here, I try eating here every week and get told the same thing. Every time I leave disappointed that they can’t even keep the simplest things on the menu.

Food was amazing, but for the 4 tables and the lack of service we received, I am definitely not that impressed. I would give the food a 5, and the service maybe a 2. The tables weren't clean when we got to the patio, when we did the waitress only cleaned one half of the table as we were sitting there They weren't that keen on taking our orders, didn't seem interested. I can understand being busy or dealing with problems in house, but there was no explanation. Food was great, portions small but it definitely under the heat lamps for 15 minutes. Probably the worst Ricky's I've been to service wise. Kudos to the kitchen staff.

A few problems because of new staff, but all in all was good. Staff on the evening we were there needs to pay attention to the lobby. We waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged. There was a young man working and I am sure he was new. Shortly after we were seated another person came in. There was an oops with one of the drinks, we got a hot water with lemon in a tall coke glass, This was resolved when the new person came to take our order and she did say she would let the young man know that it should have been served in a mug. Not faulting the young man, he was obviously new and like I always say one learns from mistakes, and one needs a place to start and get training and for that I appreciate your patience.

This is one of the best family restaurants I've visited on the Coquihalla highway. Staff, presentation and food are top notch! Lots of room; parking for buses, RVs, etc. Thank you, folks. When you turn off the highway, be prepared to turn into the restaurant very quickly. Not a lot of warning and no second entry point- highway department needs to put in a sign!

Clean and new looking, food was okay but took forever to arrive with very few customers in house. I understand that hospitality staff is hard to find these days since the pandemic, hopefully this will not last forever. Our group of 12 was freezing inside even though the outside temp was about 25⁰ Celcius, I could also see that other guests were quite cold, since I could see there breath (tongue in cheek lol) I asked one of the staff if they could adjust the temperature and the response was "The owners told us to keep the temperature at 16⁰ celcius"... maybe they're also planning on tubing in oxygen and adding slot machines ????

Outdoor patio seating available. Heated. About 8 tables. Food and service is good. Free mashed potatoes or pancakes for kids and under 2. Fish & chips: The fish was cooked well and the batter was light and fluffy. Flavor is there. Tartar sauce isn't the best, but it's okay. Fries (curly) were good. Mom seemed to like the liver steak and finished the full serving.

This Ricky's restaurant saved our life when we were trapped in Hope. They were the only restaurant that still had power and was serving food when the power was lost in all of Hope. The staff were extremely kind and supportive of all the stranded people and worked non-stop all day and night to help serve people. The owner was extremely generous and quickly found a way to serve as many people they could with the limited ingredients they had due to an unforeseen spike in demand. The food was great and delicious and the service was fantastic especially considering the restaurant was at max capacity and they didn't have enough staff again due to an unforeseen spike in clients on a random Sunday afternoon. Every night they opened the restaurant until midnight just to let people stick around to stay warm and enjoy drinks as many of us had no place to go and we're so cold sleeping in the car. My family will forever feel grateful that the owner was so kind to us and all the stranded people. Thank you the Ricky's crew!!

The server was cordial but didn't seem to enjoy her job. The food was TERRIBLE! I dislike meat on my Bennie and opted for one that said smashed avocado and tomato. I received one that was just that but had chopped red pepper throughout it. I dislike peppers for the taste period. Nowhere did it mention that or I would have opted for a different meal and saved my money. The hollandaise sauce literally had oil separating on top of it, it was barely warm and very tasteless. For the price paid, you would expect mediocre at the very least and it did not even hit that mark. Will never go back on my way through town.

We have been waiting for this place to open and what a fantastic restaurant it is! The gals who serve are so pleasant, friendly and it's a delight to be greeted with such warmth. Now.... About the food.... Wow! I had chicken tenders and they are beasts of chicken dipped in batter and freshly fried to perfection! The fries were hot and crisp and the coleslaw was delicious. My husband had the fish and chips and was not disappointed. We travel back and forth from the interior to the coast a lot so we're excited to stop in and try something else next time! You won't be disappointed!

I personally won't be back, I was there last night for dinner I ordered a burger and fries to go the food was ok at best fries were cooked to death and they added a 1/4 of a onion to my burger toppings! But what happened with the front of house staff is the reason why I will never return, I gave the hostess my order and asked if I could sit at a empty table while I waited for my order she said sure and asked me if I wanted a coffee while I waited I declined the coffee and sat down to wait for my food! Not more then 5 minutes of sitting and quietly waiting I had a second server come up and ask me to leave the table as she may have a family come to eat and they may need the table, now understand the place was 80% empty at 5pm! I got up and moved and when doing so the hostess came up and was wondering what was going on as she had not given me my food yet, I told her the other server had asked me to not sit at the table as she might have a family come in and want the table! So I guess I am welcome to purchase food from this place but not good enough to be offered a seat while I wait! Good to know this is not the type of business I will be supporting in the future!

I've had good service there in the past but tonight was it for me. The service was so slow waiting over an hour for our food, to receive cold fries and a hot plate. They offered us 2 desserts to make up for the long wait with 3 kids. We asked for two lava cakes to be told the kitchen was having a fit and if we wanted dessert the waitress could make the cake or toffee pudding, we asked for the cake to go and recieved it in take out boxes upon arriving home we opened the box to see it is clearly one piece of cake cut in half. Wish I knew how to post the picture. Extremely disappointed! Will definitely be thinking twice before going back.

Nice atmosphere, good adherence to disinfecting and social distancing protocols (now something we have to think about when dining out). Service was great, nice roasted coffee, but meals were so/so. Next time we'll try something other than the veggie breakfast bowl and shrimp fettuccini. Veggie bowl was overpowered by sauce and the fettuccini bland. Also price-wise, the veggie breakfast bowl was only one dollar lower than the shrimp fettuccini, which doesn't seem right given, one is a no-meat breakfast, and one had a fair amount of shrimp.

This place is fantastic. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. They bring back my faith in customer service. Our server was Kirsten and she was great. She even laughed at my husband's joke. The food portion for the lasagna was more than adequate it came with an awesome garlic loaf and ceasar salad with a grilled piece of mozzarella on top. I will definitely come again.

I know many of the staff that work there and they are all very friendly I see them a lot working next door, wasn’t super impressed with the food one time I was there and I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and it was the worst thing ever the cheese was hard and it was sticking out of the sandwich about a foot and I couldn’t try eating more than half (about 2-3 months ago) Last time I was there about my poutine was cold when it was served

Arrived 1 hour before closing. Stood at the front for a good10 minutes. The hostess was running around and seemed busy. Tried to make eye contact, managed to catch her eye a few times but she just looked at us, seemed like hoping we would just go away. Didn't even get a quick "I'll be right with you". After 10 minutes of just standing there we walked out. We ate at Rolly's family restaurant in Hope which was a nice experience. See review.

We were all very excited to order a meal for the entire family from the new Ricky's in Hope on September 23rd. It ended up being a huge disappointment. Only 1 person out of 5 was able to eat his meal, although he didn't finish the soggy fries along side his King-Sized Deluxe Burger. The Fish n Chips meal was horrible. The fries were soggy and the fish was completely grease logged and ended up being thrown out after not even one piece was eaten, and we ordered extra fish on the side (all of which got thrown out). The Cali Fresco salad was by far the biggest disappointment. It had so many pieces of brown and slimey salad and then the salad that was okay to eat wasn't even fresh or crisp. I've had the Cali Fresco salad at other locations and this was NOTHING like it. The Homestyle Slow Roasted Turkey meal had veggies that weren't the least bit appealing and also had no cranberry sauce (not really a big deal but for the cost you shouldn't have to remind anyone about the sides that are supposed to accompany a meal). The Buffalo chicken wrap had brown and slimey salad on it as well and the tomatoes were too soft to even enjoy and the chicken did not taste fresh either. Overall the experience left us all feeling very disheartened and ripped off. It wasn't a cheap meal by any means and only one person was okay with theirs in the end. Not a good experience at all.

They were serving people during the BC Floods, was wanting take out for my 2 children but was denied any food due to not having a vax pass. Not even take out was given! My children didnt get breakfast or lunch. Good for them for serving, but the discrimination is heart breaking.

I was in the restaurant in Late June in the middle of a heat wave. The sign on the door explained service was slow due to a shortage of workers. The waitress was run off her feet, yet she treated everyone the best she could. I loved the food and it was worth the wait. I know others at the same time had trouble with the service and the speed of the service, but I guess, they didn't read the sign. Would go again if I was in the area.

We had dinner at Ricky’s at the Silver Creek Travel Centre truck stop in Hope last night Nov. 9, 2020 and breakfast this morning. Lasagne was excellent and huge. It was a quiet time so the cook offered to make my wife an off menu item. Breakfast likewise very good. We pass by 12 times a year from Kamloops. Will likely stop at Ricky’s at least 50% of our trips. Their Covid protocol is first rate. They even have complimentary masks at reception. . The truck stop has designated RV parking, lounge with TV and WiFi, showers. Although located in/near a 20 k +- mountain Sirius radio obstruction, Sirius works here. Staff are friendly and accommodating. . Sandy who served both our meals was a talker. My wife finally met her match in that department. Shelley, Sandy’s cohort, said they compete for best Server. You might try to pick Sandy up. Don’t, for you will answer to somebody named Doug. . The Travel Centre is located a few short k west of downtown Hope on the south side of the #1 freeway opposite Flying J. . Take the Flood Hope Road exit #165.

The service was outstanding. The place was SUPER clean and sanitized. Next time I roll through Hope I'll definitely be stopping here again. If a manager from there is reading this. Your morning staff on Monday Oct 26th/2020 should all get raises. Super friendly and personable.

This Ricky's restaurant is fairly new. It was my first time here with the wife. What we did have was good and hot, even served on a hot plate witch is nice. The staff was friendly warm and efitient. I would consider going again. It's a good place for the whole family or just alone.

My family and I were one of the families stuck in Hope during the recent floods. This parking lot was so busy as they were the only ones with power. I can’t thank the staff of Rickys enough for feeding such busy crowd. They worked so hard. Such kind people. The entire community in Hope I am forever grateful. God bless you all!!!

Just had dinner here and will again. Service was great and food was great and fast. Menu selection seems a little weak but I'm sure will get better as time goes on and the place is open longer as i dined in shortly after opening. Price was reasonable too. Plus lots of truck parking as its located in a esso truck stop.

Rick's has been a hero in the community taking in stranded families. We ate there Sunday and had excellent breakfast. When tra vel resumes I urge people to support Ricky's.
