Awesome food and service, old style diner food. Had the mushroom schnitzel with mashed potatoes, gravy and fresh corn, peas and peppers...it was delicious! Tried to go back for dinner again but they were closed for some reason. I was so disappointed that I couldn't dine there again before going back home to Vancouver. I'LL BE BACK!!!

Was coming through on Saturday and had the pleasure of having Danine serve me. She was absolutely fabulous and so friendly. I didn't know what to get as I was not hungry and she suggested the small one egg breakfast. It was not small and I asked for my hash browns crispy and the were all the way through, not just on the top. Danine even got me some hot water for the rest of my trip. I could not be happier with the food, service and portions.

I stopped here on the way to Vancouver with my father as he really enjoys it. Very busy place, but the staff handle it well. Part of my order was wrong, but that's okay. They were all really friendly and the food is much better than going somewhere like Denny's. If anything, stop by and pick up some of their desserts.

Home restaurant used to have the best pies in the world so good that you had to get off the highway and get some. Not anymore I'm not sure what they did but they do not taste the same. I got a slice of lemon meringue and coconut cream both are gross not worth the almost $6. I didn't even bother with the cheesecake because it looked wrong. I guess I have to find a new pie place ????

Wow, still smiling and working so hard with all of us stuck in Hope because of the floods. Sticks to your ribs type food. Had the schnitzel and mushrooms. Good Gravy! The staff was awesome doing double shifts short staff and the food still good. But the strawberry rhubarb pie was wonderful. Thanks for a nice meal. Cheers

Worth the wait! 30 min wait on a Sunday but the brunch food was very good. Their hollandaise sauce is fantastic on everything. Especially, the Rocky Mountain Bowl. Highly recommend.

It is a HOMEy restaurant :3 The menu is not very complicated which I like the most. Food: 4/5 everything tastes good but nothing pops out to make it a 5/5 rating. I ordered the baked lasagna which was very fresh from the oven (wished there's more pasta to the meat ratio).My sister ordered the mountain man breakfast and the highlight was the potatoes which were cooked to perfection; however, the ham brought the rating down. It didn't taste like ham at all (?). The cheesecake tastes homemade which is the best kind of dessert. Recommendation: Mountain Man breakfast and the cheesecake!! Serving: 10/5 very huge portions for its price! Service: 3/5 covid 19 protocol. Seating was far apart which eliminate needs for plastic barrier. Although, I noticed the waitress who helped us was wearing a "mouth shield" instead of a mask that can also cover the nose. Yes, I know that us, as customers, are safe but for her as a worker, she is not fully protected. She is very nice and gave us recommendations not only on the food but also places to see im Hope.

One of the best classic diners around. Big servings, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Awesome pies, cinamon buns, and date squares. Always a favorite when passing through hope. Their breakfast / brunch on Sundays is awesome but be prepared to wait a bit, there's always a good crowd.

Convenient place to stop for breakfast when we head to the interior. Good coffee and generous portions of food. Only drawback is they are always so busy that there is a lineup at peak times but well worth the wait.

Was too busy/ long lineup---so we cooked pancakes in the motorhome in the parking lot. Need to say- Light and fluffy as well as buttery- We also purchased some blueberries from the stand in the parking lot. Best price and amazing. Would definitely return here to cook pancakes in the parking lot again.

I work there so I feel like my review is going to be a little biased. However I'd say it's pretty good overall we have a pretty in-depth sytstem for keeping things clean and sanitary for all of the Covid stuff so that everyone is kept as safe as possible. Most of our food is great, although there are a few things i dont like much. We have a condensed menu at the moment so some of our classics are gone for the time being. I don't know it is a fun place to work and I go there to eat every once in a while. The deserts I almost forgot about those.... Yeah they are pretty friggen awesome if you go make sure to save some room for desert, that or get some to go you won't regret It!!!

Judging by the lineup out the door, I thought this place would be god tier. The coffee was ever flowing, the desserts looked phenomenal, but the meals left something to be desired. The burger patties were huge but seemed store bought. The fries were good though! My advice would be to make your own burger patties and charge more!!

Hello!! I truly hope the owner reads this message. We where in this afternoon around 2:45 to have a early supper after a golf game. First of all , it took a while to be seated... there was 3 groups to be seated and 4 tables that where empty. When we finally got seated, our orders taken, it took 40 mins. to receive our meal. The tables that where seated right after us , received their meals before us. The 4 of us seen that the acting manager was stationed at one table and talking to her friends.As busy as it was and the lines where getting longer , and people waiting for their meals, all she was doing was talking to this table. She was talking as long as it took to bring our meal out and when we left, she was still talking. Now... I own my own restaurant for the last 22 yrs. When I see my place busy and it’s getting behind, I’m in there helping. This women should have stepped in and started working instead of visiting her friends. Two of our friends will not be coming back and more likely we will not as well. Very disappointed with the personal and management. Never the times we have patronized the Homes restaurant, received such horrible service. I truly think the Homes Restaurant in Hope needs to address these issues. Thank you Sherry

We found this place on a blog for having some of the best fish and chips in the area - this was HYPE that the restaurant did not live up to. The fish was almost non-existent amongst all the batter it was covered in - which was on the cusp of burnt, this left us disappointed which is why I’ve deducted 2 stars from the rating. HOWEVER, the macaroni in cheese was awesome! It was packed with flavour and super cheesy. The cheesecake was AMAZING, it had this perfect fluffy and creamy texture and the pies were also really good - we tried the mulberry and banana cream, flaky crust and baked very nicely! Tldr; the fish n chips is overhyped but the mac n cheese and desserts slap

My ratings is for the hosting only. We came in there and there were 3 sets of people before us. There were multiple empty tables the whole time we were waiting. They need to figure out a better way to seat people. There was always people waiting and there were always empty tables. To me that's not good hosting. And then we commented and the host was rude! The food though was fantastic!!!

This was a very busy/popular place when we arrived at 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. Waited about ten minutes to get in but it was worth it. Super friendly staff. Good food, quick service and reasonable prices. When asked what they had for desserts, the server must have rattled off twenty different kinds of pie.....and that was just the pies! Although this restaurant appears dated, it was clean and facilities were well kept. A great spot to stop for lunch.

We were craving some homemade diner food after a day of exploring in Hope. The pie display was the allure that brought us in. Sadly, the blueberry pie was so disappointing. The amount of salt used made it difficult to enjoy, let alone eat. We don't know if this was a one off but it was really offputting. We enjoyed the Salisbury steak but found the sourdough chicken melt to be really greasy (more than your usual). Prices were reasonable for the homecooked feel of the dishes. We would return to give it another try.

So many friends and family raved about this restaurant. I couldn't disagree more. We walked in at about 8pm on a Sunday night after traveling all day, only ever got waters to drinks nothing else was offered. Finally after 10 min a waitress came to take out order. 2 people in my group ordered salads and 1 person ordered a steak along with a kids meal and a sandwich. I left to go grab some thing from the hotel was gone not even 10 min to come back and find the steak and kids meal out on the table yet nothing else for another 7 or 8 mins basically enough time for those 2 meals to be almost finished by the time the rest of our food came out. Nobody ever came to check on our meals to see how our food was or if we needed more water (being that was the only thing that was offered refills would have been nice). When we were all finished eating and still no waitress one of us got up and headed to the car with the 2 kids only to be approached and asked if we wanted dessert,when we said "no" she promptly went to go get the bill never even asked if we wanted it separated. Just said she'd grab the bill. We were done. Worst service I've ever received anywhere I was very disappointed after all the rave reviews. Next time I'm in Hope... Every restaurant in town will need to be closed before I eat here. Food was good but the service was terrible!!!

Everytime we go we had to wait. But the food is great. Servers are great. But we had to put our own name on the waiting list. As another couple and us waited for the hostess to take our name but she ingored us. It was about 20 minutes before she even acknowledge anyone. By then about 4 or 5 more parties came in. They do have the best coffee.

The restaurant wasn't as good as these reviews made it seem. The wait time was incredibly long and the hostess was super busy so we didn't even get a wait time at the start. There's only booths that are pretty small and the lasagna I had was pretty much bland. The fruit was not fresh for the fruit salad my sister had and the food took quite a while. All in all the people were really nice, the clam chowder soup was delicious, and it was in a nice location with wifi. But wouldn't really recommend.

This is a great restaurant, and you know it is because it is packed when you arrive. Staff was great even after we heard they were short staffed that day. The turkey sandwich was delicious and the clubhouse was too. Seniors breakfast was perfect for us to start our day. And thanks to the waitress who had to open the ketchup bottle for my husband, the laugh was so worth it.

The server was excellent. The food was priced at what a White Spot or Red Robin's price range is but the flavor quality was just not there. It was bland and quite disappointing. An example is the chocolate milkshake I ordered for my daughter was vanilla ice cream mixed with chocolate powder and the coleslaw was seasoned with just enough to see it but not taste the spices. None of our dishes we ordered got finished. The location is convenient for people driving thru to the Coast.

Stopped here after visiting the Othello Tunnels around 4pm and this place was busy but the service was still great! The food was very well prepared as well, the Mac n Cheese half portion was huge and delicious. My half size Schnitzel with mushrooms blew my expectations and both were very reasonably priced. Both meals tasted truly home cooked.

We came here for the reviews and we were asked to leave because we had a small dog something we understand but we weren't asking to stay in with it. One person of our party said he would order with the group at the table and take the food out to eat with the dog as an option. We were denied service to all. It was apparently too complicated for them to cope with something as simple as that. Definitely not feeling like Home here if such a simple request is such a huge issue for them. We went to White Spot. All good without issue. Must be hard to live in modern times.

I have not been this dissatisfied with dinner.. ever. I had the fish and chips with two small tasteless pieces of fish and sour/old tarter sauce with under cooked fries, my wife had the chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy, the veggies were canned and so was the mushrooms, they put sooo much gravy it was more like a soup. Very unhappy and if that wasn't enough the staff was not attentive at all but we did notice the people they new by name were treated very well. Next trip through Hope we will stop at a fast food place and at least get the quality of food that we paid for...

This is my most favourite place to eat. I time my trips between the Okanagan and Vancouver so we can stop. The Homemade pies are delectable!! I personally love the Schnitzel Champignon, but honestly everything is SO good. Soups, fries, sandwiches with real Turkey and PIE. Where else can you get rhubarb pie ! You may have to wait in line a bit around mealtimes but it's worth it. Have some pie!

A wonderful place to bring the family for some delicious home-cooked meals during a fun trip, and the desserts are to be shared. Make sure to leave room for dessert. Although sadly their cheesecake ran out just when we were about to indulge (lost a symbolic star for that!), but the lemon meringue and coconut cream pies were yummy to the tummy, keeping my score a high 4+ stars. Give yourselves enough time in the line-up as it does get quite busy during lunch. Keep up the fab work and service, thanks!

The place is nice and clean. Service is good but súper impersonal (by the book and disconnected). The food is good but not great. Shrimp Caesar salad blew my mind. Lemon cake and a coffee is what you should order for desert. On top of that the price was reasonable. A dinner for 3 adults and a kid is $80.

Stopped there on our way through town. Even though it was 2pm, there was a line (a good sign). We didn't have to wait long, maybe 15 minutes, and the service was very friendly. The food was delicious and the portions ample! My dad and I both had burgers, and they were full of toppings and flavour. I had a salad that was full of a variety of veggies. We also ordered two pies to go, which were also delicious. My only complaint, in jest, is that they need sturdier buns for their burgers.

We were excited to take out some pies as we heard good things about this restaurant..Only to arrive to hostess/manager (wearing purple today) with a less than pleasant attitude. Thought it was because the restaurant was busy then realized it was because she was racist and we weren't Caucasian like all the other tables. She was friendly and polite to the Caucasian customers ahead and behind us then served the Indian family of 6 with the same attitude as she had towards us. We asked what pies were available and she proceed to serve other Caucasian customers behind us. We patiently waited then was told we can see whatever pies are available in the rotating fridge up front... apple, lemon, pumpkin, banana cream and rhubarb. After we ordered, the Caucasian customers were offered pies in the back... seemed like a blueberry one they took out from the back fridge. It was a truly disappointing experience..

They have great, crispy fish and chips. Some of the best I've had. The tartar sauce was a bit tart, but overall really enjoyed them. My wife got the meatloaf. She liked it enough, but it may have been a bit dense on the meat for her. We had to wait a bit to be seated, but they were busy which shows how popular it is among locals. Service was proportionally snappy to the amount of people and our waitress was delightful and punctual. A good place to go for a variety of dishes.

You really have to expect an extremely LONG wait to get your food on your table. Lining up itself is long which I understand since it's one of the few good restaurants in Hope. We waited for almost an hour to get to our seat, but the food took almost an hour to get to the table, which I don't understand since it wasn't their busiest time I've seen. When I asked for my waitress to follow up with the order, they couldn't do that right away either. Really wasn't expecting it. Service is mediocre. Food is average, but in Hope, sure it's one of the best. If you have a specific schedule to stick to, highly recommend to not choose this place.

It was quite busy when we arrived around 1:30pm on the Saturday on May long weekend, but we did not have to wait long for a table. The service is quite friendly. I got the Spinach Salad and a slice of the Lemon Meringue pie. Their pies are to die for. My friend got the Coconut Cream pie which was also really good. The pie slice portions are VERY generous - good to share between 2 people.

I had the schnitzel with mashed potatoes and veg for 12.99. The meat was a little bit dry, but the gravy was pretty tasty. For that price that was a pretty good deal. Their dessert looks pretty good and have lots of selection. We were there late in the afternoon on a Tuesday and there were lots of people.

Authentic old town movie restaurant, loved it! Hope is an amazing town to visit on the weekend if you're from around or live in downtown Vancouver. The staff was pretty friendly and gentle, they let us know more about the town and talked to us for a couple of minutes. We were visiting Hope originally to go to the Othello tunnels, unfortunately the attraction was closed due to maintenance, so we got to spend the day around and taking pictures in the town where the movie Rambo was filmed. It wasn't a wasted day! Home is an amazing place and the taste is so good!

Service was abysmally slow and disorganized tonight. Asked for a dessert menu but the server never returned to actually take our dessert order until we flagged her down. She then told us that she wasn’t actually our server...despite being the one who was serving us all night? so who is our server then?? Lots of new faces so I’m assuming they’ve gone through some staffing changes. Not really an excuse though when the restaurant is only half full. We had 5 to-go containers with leftovers but none of the staff thought to offer a plastic bag despite seeing me struggle with them and a toddler in hand. Had to ask them for one and use their front counter (which was completely covered in water and other spills) to bag it all up. I hope management reads this and provides better training.

Oh my goodness. We were looking for a fish and chips place in Hope, read the reviews, and they are not wrong. The food was amazing, great value and wonderful service. My mom and I split the fish and chips and were quite full. The food was great, the place was clean, the date squares are amazing, tasted like grandmas! Have not been in a few months but whenever I stop by hope while going through from filming etc. Me & my buddies always stop here. Great staff, great food & great prices. Sure 5 stars is usually for places that are known to be "5 star restaurants" this is no super fancy place, a super expensive place. It deserves 5 stars for the great food, the portions, the prices & the kindness of the staff. It's mainstream but I definitely suggest the Chicken strips/fries. The onion rings or even the baked mac n cheese. Very delicious. You can expect to pay around 15-20 dollars for yourself or more if you buy a milkshake (definitely worth it). It's not a bad price for the portions & food quality. I highly suggest this restaurant for yourself, your friends, family. Whether it's after a big game, after hiking or anything.

We stopped in Hope for the night and the owner of the motel recommended this great restaurant. We were greeted with a big smile - the restaurant was packed - great sign. Amanda was our waitress and was a total star. She was totally fine with me asking for the spinach salad to be vegan (so fresh), the yam fries were crazy delicious, my husband loved the beef and barley soup and a roast turkey sandwich on multigrain bread with a super crisp salad. The Merlot wine was light, fruity and smooth. Totally recommend this very sweet and genuine restaurant. We'll definitely be visiting on our next trip through. Amanda - my husband says to tell you that the apple pie was crazy good - thank you.

One of the best toasted sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. I opted for the veggie one, and it was very tasty. Loads of fries came with it as well. I'm a Vancouver resident who every few months comes to Chilliwack to visit friends. more often than not, we will drive up to Hope for the day and always visit this restaurant (fair enough, probably not too many restaurants to choose from in Hope anyways.....I might be wrong though) None the less, we like this place alot. It's got good food (the pies are fantastic) it's got an inviting atmosphere. I just love the town of Hope, and this restaurant is a great addition to it. See you soon

The staff are always courteous , prompt and extremely helpful. Nice clean fast paced restaurant with many items for everyone on the menu. Cozy relaxed atmosphere and awesome food and drinks at reasonable prices. Don't forget to ask for a doggy bag to go because their portions are big. They also have a seniors, kids and healthy menu to please everyone. Awesome desserts to die for as well. Clean and bright and always tops on our place to eat from 6am to 10 pm. Easy access and lots of parking . Wheelchair accessible. Go to "The Home " and I'm sure you'll soon return ! ????????❤

The Benny is good with a good portion size, great suggestion by the server. Basically your typical greasy spoon, with decent food but a bit expensive. I was a little irked when they cleared my table while I was in the bathroom, but my server reseated me with new toast and coffee and apologised (although she should had made sure my table wasn't cleared, maybe there was an overzealous busser). When they are busy, things can get slow. I've had servers completely forget me.

The classic diner style restaurant serving ample portions of good old home style cooking. It's a good enough excuse to go for a drive to Hope for an afternoon. My go-to is the mushroom schnitzel, followed by a piece of their legendary pie, usually lemon meringue with the meringue piled very high. Lineups are not uncommon, but they seem to move along quickly. Definitely worth the wait.

Stopped in today (Sunday) at 5 pm. Asked for a menu. Took it back to the car and came back to order takeout 2 minutes later. Staff member was ready to take my two orders, looked at a supervisor -- who came over and told me in an arrogant way, "No takeout 5-7 pm!" I asked if we could sit outside and eat (they have 2 tables). "We don't serve outside. That would be a takeout!" she said without explanation or apology. Then she added "The kitchen's drowning!" The Schnitzel they offer does not come close to the real Schnitzel I had in Europe. Neither in the taste nor in the size. The mashed potatoes has a dry consistency and is tasteless (The Betty Crocker instant mash potatoes from the grocery store tastes better...). We ordered takeout and the service was great and friendly. They were quite busy so it took about 30 mins for them to finish up our order. I rated it kind of low cause of the food. The fries and food were already cold 10 mins after we picked it up and the food was quite dry and the portions were really small. It was $15 for fries and a small BLT sandwich which was expensive.

Food was good but the wait time is long. After ordering the food took way to long to arrive. I mean busy places can get orders out fast faster than 40 minutes. The staff weren't particularly inviting upon arrival either. It took almost 10 minutes for someone to actually greet us if you can call it that. Our server was frazzled as if she had never worked a busy shift before. Coffee refills were absent as well. Again food was good but the other issues take away.

Wow....first time visitor in August 2020. What a great place to eat in Hope B.C. I had the fish and chips, and my wife had a BLT. Great food, and you also get a heaping plateful. Also had the Clam Chowder, very good. Friendly staff, and they had very good COVID protocols in place. We will make sure we stop there again next time thru.

Great home cooked food that felt very welcoming. The food was well made and well portioned. The atmosphere is very much what you would expect from a diner. The restaurant had a seemingly endless line, but were seated pretty quickly. Our server was extremely busy, but did her best. She brought us the wrong dish at first, but promptly rectified the situation. If you're driving through the area, I'd make this the lunch stop for sure! Just be prepared to wait maybe 20min at peak hours.

Nice change from the usual fast food joints. Service is OK. If they are busy they bog down easy and food take a long time. Burger tastes like a pre-fab patty and just cooked from frozen. The pies are definitely worth getting. I do recommend, but get something more diner oriented, and not just another burger. Atmosphere is busy diner and overall friendly.

This is a very popular restaurant that serves a lot of typical home cooked meals like meatloaf and burgers. Really large portions lots of hand cut fries. Great deserts, homemade pies. My only issue is that the place is very busy and my food was cold by the time it got to me, lots of new servers who had to be asked twice for things, long line up to get in. I'd normally skip it because I don't want the amount of food or the time it takes to get it but I had my granddaughter with me and she was dying to go there. They do have a great kids menu so very budget friendly for families with children. Also good seniors menu that anyone can order from.

Food and service all amazing. A good alternative to the diner that used to be across the street that has been torn down and replaced with a booster juice. Was a bit hot when we were in there during an early summer heat wave, but fans made it bearable. Tons of options for pie; we were so full we couldn't try any (much to our disappointment). Worth pulling off the highway if you're even a little hungry.

This is our favorite resteraunt when traveling through Hope. The rotating pie display when you enter the door is filled with Mile High Lemon Meringue Pie, Coconut Cream, Cherry...all very inviting. I always plan on having a piece but never have. The portion sizes of the entres are large enough to not leave room for desert. My husband always enjoys the Liver and Onions while I lean towards the Schnitzel. The menu reminds me of days gone by, all comfort food!

This is a great restaurant to stop at on the way to the Okanagan. It's a homey (as stated in the name!) and cozy place to take a break from the drive. There is usually a line up at the door so don't come here if you are in a hurry. The servers are friendly and accommodating, but you'll need to be patient as it does take some time to be served. However, that's just part of the relaxed atmosphere. You can take your time to eat and enjoy yourself, and there's no rush. They serve good sized portions, especially for the slices of pie. I particularly recommend the cheesecake with strawberry sauce, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Oh yum!

We went to Hope for a business trip, and stopped by the Home Restaraunt for breakfast on our way out of town. The food was excellent, and the staff were fantastic. The servers were so attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. I have eaten at the Home restaraunt in Merrit and Salmon Arm as well, but they don't compare to this location in Hope. Fantastic!!!!

I love little establishments like this... the food is fantastic, and our waitress was great. Very generous amount of food given, the fries are like the old fashioned type (think Swiss Chalet but ten times better..), and be sure to grab a slice of pie.. as it's just like homemade, with beautiful flaky pastry. Be prepared to wait though, as it gets crazy busy. We were lucky enough to get in within minutes, but not long after, there was a lineup out the door. Will definitely be back when I'm out this way again. Bring a location to Edmonton!! :)

Man this new vaccine certificate thing has people riled up. What these folks have to put up with is truly shocking. Regardless of how you feel about the vaccine passport program, a server at a restaurant in Hope, British Columbia has very little sway with the policy makers. Yet, immediately after being berated for things clearly out of their control, they have to do their rounds and deal with their actual customers. Our server made the transition flawlessly and did not let one ignorant jack-wagon influence how they dealt with all the others. That is truly commendable, and I'm not sure that I wouldn't have been at least somewhat flustered (more likely triggered). You want to rant about choices and freedoms? I love hot turkey sandwiches. I got to have a hot turkey sandwich instead of when all the restaurants were closed and and the only things open were drive through windows.

Just had the most disappointing meal here. Chicken ceaser wrap - chicken and the wrap was like a mouthful of rubber, that texture made me feel a bit nauseous. I ordered something else, schnitzel - the veg was not so fresh, reheated maybe, and soggy. The schnitzel itself was so dry, but smothered in gravy to cover it up. Waited over an hour for a table - do not go at noon on a Sunday. Being willing to break into tables of 2 will get you in sooner if you are a larger party. Schnitzel and fries were cold when we did finally get it. (Again if the restaurant is full to capacity it seems the restaurant can't keep up.) When expressed our dissatisfaction - we were polite but frustration was coming through - the manager accused us of making our waitress cry. Really I could have been harsh and loud and angry as we were 1:30 instead at this point and 2 out of 5 of us had food to eat.

Yes, it’s really worth the wait. We have been a few times on our trips to Hope and it is something my husband looks forward to greatly. It is super popular with the locals and we have had to wait every time for a table, but it is worth it. Hubby says it is THE best eggs Benedict ever. Be aware that the breakfast menu is only limited hours, so get there early if you want to try the Benedict. We had a very dissapointed couple of men on our hands one time when we tried to bring family from Texas to try it and we were 20 minutes too late.

Not sure why there was a line up for this place. If you are expecting a home cooked meal you will not get one. The perogies and gravy seem prepackaged. Food very salty overall. Had such high expectations looking at the reviews. Portion was small. But the server was as disappointing as the steak. $20 for a thin small slab. We ordered medium well and it came well done like an overcooked piece of chicken. We gave our feedback when the server asked how was the food, only to be met with ‘it IS medium well’. Wow. What an attitude. It’s only pity that we still have gratuity. Thanks but no thanks.

I don't know what's happening here. Used to be great service, fresh coffee, and excellent pies. Service was slow on this last visit and the coffee was stale. The pies were mediocre. Hopefully they'll get better again.

My husband and I have been going there for 3 years.Every time we go back and forth from 100mile house to the coast.We haven't been there since their renovations just before covid hit in March.We stopped in on Saturday and were so happy that we could just walk in and get a seat.Everything was excellent and the service was great. It truly made my day.

A great family restaurant with good old family meals available. The half hour line up to get in on a Sunday evening speaks volumes. Despite the restaurant being full to bursting, our waitress (Amy) was very kind and attentive to our needs. She brought each meal exactly as ordered -even with all the little variances our group requested. She also joined in the joking around at our table and generally made our experience excellent. The food was exactly what we needed after a long day on the road, good old down home cooking. I highly recommend this restaurant for any meal of the day. Just be prepared to wait as there is often a wait - it's worth it.

A good restaurant just off the #3. I came in with a rather large group after a long drive and they worked to get us in as fast as they could. We had to sit in separated tables or wait longer so we took what they could give to start eating. The place is a bit dated looking but nothing to spoil anything, they also have pictures from the locations past which I like and a nice display showing off their big cakes/pies at the entrance, that's just not fair????. The place itself was busy so I'll let it be known the servers were short on words but it's easy to understand why. Getting helped when needed though was still easy so props to the staff for toughing it through. The food was hit or miss. I had the BBQ ribs which is my go to but my gosh these were spicy it's been a long time since I've had BBQ with spice that I was wondering what had happened. The ribs, in the end were to saucy that the meats flavor just disappeared it was more in tune to BBQ sauce with rib. My wife on the other hand had a mushroom Swiss burger and she said it was one of the best she had in a while (which is saying a lot) and the others in my party had the diner sets (turkey/meat loaf). Also we all had a pie slice for home and I can say having now eaten the blueberry pie it's good after waiting 3 hours???? All said a good dinner experience. Just the ribs threw it off, personally a 4/5 but considering my party's experience 5/5.

Gets pretty busy during lunch and dinner time but the food is worth the wait. The staff help you get seated quickly. The ambiance and staff is great. It has a classic diner feel to the place. They have the best banana cream pie I have ever had.

Best breakfast in Hope! We make Home in Hope a must stop on our summer holidays.Great home style diner food, always super busy, quick service, great food and huge portions, good prices and we have always been pleased. Breakfast menu seemed smaller this time than usual, but there is something for everyone, but the shredded hash browns are delicious, and the pancakes are seriously the size of a plate and about a half inch thick. Locals eat here, tourists eat here, you should eat here!

Friendly service always! Every visit is enjoyable. Meatloaf, fish and chips, hamburgers, salads, cinnamon buns and pies consistently delicious and generous portions! Classic Omelette however was disappointing once. Very small with over cooked onions and dry cold toast. We stop in Hope on every trip to Vancouver and Salmon Arm and definitely will again..(just not for an omelette.)

As if going home to wild fires isn’t enough, god forbid we’re allowed to get some pie for the ride home. If you’re near Hope this is a great choice, with great comfort foods. The food is well priced, but the best part was the pie selection and the milkshakes. The onion rings were a bit too oily for my taste though, but overall the meal was good. It’s busy any time of the day, I Had gone on a Monday afternoon and it was full of people. The staff was really helpful and nice, always coming to check up on us. Would definitely go again

Decent food in what is a bit of a greasy spoon. Large portions, especially for the kids meals. The kid's spaghetti and meatballs was very good, but way too large for my 6 yr old. The fries were good. Although everything seemed fresh and high quality, it did seem some of it was prepared from a box or "mix".

Wow, everything we ordered here was amazing. Clam chowder was perfect, servers were overworked but did a great job. This will be my go to place for Hope when we pass through once or twice a year, after having some bad food experiences in the area previously.

Paneless Window Cleaning

Arrived at this restaurant and as we entered the building the atmosphere was great, the initial server took our names and then a separate server arrived and very aggressively asked us to wait outside for our table, which was fine we were heading out to wait for our table; yet the door was blocked by a family of 4 customers arriving. We were patiently waiting to move past to go outside when the separate server became even more Aggressive and Very Rudly said YOU NEED TO GO OUTSIDE pointing her finger with her eyes super wide. Expecting us to bowl over this family and squeeze past them to try to get out the door. At this point I told my family we are not staying here to eat and we waited a bother couple of minutes for the people to move so we could get outside and left.

Amazing homemade pies and delicious food. Ordered the clam chowder and their lasagna, which were both packed with flavour. Large portions and was very filling while being quite inexpensive. This restaurant does really make you feel like you're at home. Their banana cream pie was very good and their cheesecake was very creamy! Service is absolutely phenomenal and personable. They also have a senior discount on meals. I'll definitely be back to try their other pies!

We ordered a large order for take out and even though the women who took my order in the phone sounded very busy she was polite and joked around and got the order in quickly. We picked the order up not badly priced for all we got and the food was hot and so good when we got home on the other side of town! Definitely recommend this place have yet to be eat in but take out was awesome!

A busy but friendly roadside restaurant. We waited 5-10 minutes for our table, and it was well worth the wait. Lots of locals go here to, which tells you right there you have chosen the right place! The menu presents everything from breakfast to dinner choices. Have yet to try the dinner menu, but I have no doubt it would be as good as the breakfast choices. And, the fresh baked apple pie was amazing.
