Let me tell you something about this Incredible little hole in the wall. I found this wonderful place by way of smell in grade 10, my first year of high school at the old location of Charles P Allen high school. I could always smell the fish and chips frying up as I would drive by and one day I took my growing self to grab a two peice fish and chips.
Now, I could sit here and draw this review on, creating an elaborate flavor poem to describe just how crisp the batter was and how fresh the fish actually tasted. But in reality I can sum it up by simply saying that in that week, I had fish and chips from there 6 more times. I fell in love.
The staff behind the counter were always so kind and patient with us. Understanding we don't have much money but always making sure our tummies were full. I fondly remember calling from math class while I was studying for exams, only having 5 minute to run outside and grab my food before I rushed back in. And with a smile they prepared not only my food but food for all of my friends and had it sitting hot, fresh and ready by the time I walked in the door.
Over the years my pallet expanded, I tried the messy fries, the Montreal dog (an ingenious Montreal smoked meat sandwich constructed on a hot dog, how can you go wrong!) the Montreal sandwich. The clubhouse, eventually I hit every item on the menu.
It has been almost a decade since I first walked through those doors, and to this day I am still over the moon satisfied with the food and service I get here every single time.
I only hope to see more of this place as time passes. It has always held a place in my heart and I think forever will.
