By far one of the best places to order chinese food. The food is pretty damn good. I enjoyed it ALOT and was satisfied with everything that I ordered from the menu. They also have a good selection to choose from the order menu too. A must try dishes are the following: 1) Szechuan Chicken - Spicy enough and favourable to enjoy. It goes really well with chicken fried rice. A good portion size for two. On the order menu it is #101. 2) The Shrimp Hawaiian - Sweet pineapple with chucks of good size pineapples in it (YUMMY). It goes so well with the shrimps served with chicken fried rice. Absolutely one of my favourites. A good portion size for two. On the order menu it is #164. 3) Tai Doe Voy - Very flavourful, a good portion size for two, and has everything (chicken, shrimp, pork mixed along with vegetables). This also goes really well with chicken fried rice. On the order menu it is #161. 4) Fried Beef Chow Fun - Saucy and favourful wide rice noodles with stir fryed chunks of beef. A good portion size for two. On the order menu it is #42. The lady that works there is friendly and helpful. The ordering and delivery service was pretty quick. The food was delivered fresh and hot. They don't provide the utensils. You probably might have to ask them for it. I highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. The food is delicious! I'll be ordering from this place again for sure. Where do I start. Every dish was boring and seemingly thrown together. Our wonton soup was awful, noodles falling apart with a weird colored broth. It's as if someone that doesn't know how to cook Asian cuisine made our meals. Nothing seemed fresh. Nast!

By far one of the best deals for lunch downtown. There is a hot buffet inside that has good offerings such as battered fish with lemon sauce, sweet and sour chicken/pork, sesame chicken, vegetables, spring rolls, shrimp as well as specialty fried whole fish. Starting at $2 for a single item then with 1 dollar increments for more ($3 for 2, $4 for 3, etc. and a bit extra for the specialty fish) the price, taste as well as hospitality are all good. If you dine in you are often offered complimentary hot tea, and the woman behind the counter is lovely and extremely friendly and fosters a warm, comforting dining environment. Delivery is also available through Just Eat, but those prices are standard with other restaurants. Make sure to come early for the buffet to get the freshest servings. Highly recommend visiting in person for a quick bite!

I have to be honest, I feel like this place is taking a bit of a decline. Prices have increased about $1 per take out box and the food we had was definitely not fresh, every item, not just one. For the first time I was quite disappointed. I will give it 3 stars for now and try it out again in a few months.

By far the worst Chinese food experience we've had. We ordered Double Dragon tonight. The honey garlic chicken wings were horrid. Incredibly soggy and slimy. You could easily tell that they had been sitting in sauce for a very long time. There was more soggy skin in the takeout tray than on the meat itself. By far the worst part of the meal however was the breaded shrimp. We had consumed a fair amount of it before my niece indicated to us that the shrimps' digestive tracts had NOT been removed!!! These digestive tracts contain the shrimps' FECAL MATTER folks. How can a restaurant not remove these before selling them to the general public for human consumption. We will never, and I repeat NEVER order from this restaurant again. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

I really don't know what to say. The food, by far from excellent, chicken is dry and has the consistency of frozen chicken, however, that would not be surprising considering the price. The taste could definitely be there just the primary dish, the chicken is rather dry. Albeit, the prices are very economical and they are some cheap and quick eats. For what it's worth, there is no other place where I could get that amount of food for the price it is.

Just ate there buffet for the first time and it was fantastic. 5 items for $6 and they load up the food. Wife and I spent $16 with tax and tip for two 5 item plates and two drinks and left with lots of food. The owner was fantastic, she came to talk to us to make sure everything was good, gave us samples of other items and was very nice to talk to. There menu is massive and the prices are almost to good to be true. We will be back regularly whenever we feel the need for Chinese food.

The best place to go downtown for EXTREMELY cheap and I mean EXTREMELY cheap food ($4 to fill me up), the food is good for its price and the women who serve it are quite nice, only complaint is that the food made me feel a bit weird once but nothing that bad happened, after all its pretty cheap. It was my first time ordering from Double Dragon and would definitely return. This is one of the good Chinese food places and if you're craving good Chinese food, give it a try! you won't be disappointed. My order: I ordered sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and it became my new favorite. The beef with rice noodles is also great. Lastly, the orange chicken, very flavorful. Menu: It was really easy to order through their website and it was ready in 15 mins (you can also pick a time). The menu had pictures which I enjoyed. It helped me know much better what I'm ordering. Portions: The portions are HUGE. For the price you're paying, the quality and the portions are great. We're only 2 people and ordered 3 things and didn't expect so much. I think we ate from it for like 2 and half days. Keep double dragon in mind for when you have bigger gatherings. This was my honest review, the lady there was great and sweet. When I got home I realized she actually game me a chicken rice for free which was really yummy. ???????? Overall, GREAT.

Best Chinese food in Guelph. And the best prices. I'm not even kidding. Well... The takeout/buffet counter can get a touch stale, but only if you're there during off hours. You're good to go during lunch and dinner. The best part is the delivery menu. It's incredible when it's made fresh. I've tried a ton of random stuff, and am rarely disappointed. The dinner for 4 combo has amazing value, as well. Highly recommended.

Absolutely horrible service. We ordered our food almost 1 hour and 45 minutes ago and we still have not received it. I've called the restaurant and been hung up on 3 times. When I did finally get an answer out of them, they said the food left for delivery over 30 minutes ago. I asked for a refund and they were short with me saying they'll refund my order and hung up. I'll never order from them again. I'll hopefully provide an update to say whether we ever got our food or our money back. Never again.

I have such mixed feelings about Double Dragon. Previously, I have found the service professional, delivery quick, and quality of food quite high. This past NYE, however, I was beyond disappointed. We waited over THREE hours for our food. Now, I realise that it was NYE, and they were busy, but there was a complete lack of communication that made everything worse. When I called to follow up on the order (three times, once every hour—I don't like to pester), I was told that someone had left to deliver it or was already on the way. The first time, it seems that the order was missed entirely or put at the bottom of the list due to an error in writing down the SkipTheDishes order number. The second time, I was assured that the driver had left with our food. The third time I called, I was told that the order was on its way and was immediately hung up on before I could say anything else. Clearly, the food was not on its way that second time... To be fair, when the food arrived, it was fresh, hot and delicious; however, I was not at all pleased with the lack of transparency and customer service. Honestly not sure I'll take a chance on them again.

I have been to Double Dragon on many a drunken night. Good food, at VERY fair prices. Today, however, I ordered delivery for the first time. When I called, the woman working could tell I had been there many times before. Ordering from, "the buffet line." I think she could also tell this was my first delivery order... ... So when I asked for, "a box of sesame, a box of noodles and 4 mtn dew," she gave me what equated to a box and a half of chicken, a box and a half of noodles, and an ENTIRELY FREE order of rice. "Big deal," I hear you say, "Free rice. Thats like a free garlic bread..." But here is the question I pose to you... When is the last time someone gave you free garlic bread, without your asking? Double Dragon deserves your business. And you deserve good, affordable Chinese food.

One way to describe Double Dragon is huge quantity for a super cheap price, which doesn't really add up. But who cares if you can stuff your face at 1 in the morning for 4 bucks, no one is going to say no. The food tastes is actually not bad at all, they have eat in, takeout and they deliver. Other than their "buffet" platter, they also have a menu you can pick from, items like soups and Congee.

The lady who works the front is incredibly nice. Also for the quality and price, you can't beat this place. We have always enjoyed the food we got from them, very consistent in terms of quality. Their walk in food, if you go on off times, can be a bit old, so generally we order fresh. They serve late at night as well for the bar crowd; quite incredible how late they work! There aren't many great Chinese food places in guelph so it's great to have something decent in town.

It was a take out, while waiting the lady offered a free green tea, a small sample of food, and added paper plates and cutlery all of these without me asking. The food has gone down in quality compared to when recently opened, now is very similar to most Chinese food restaurants in Guelph, at the beginning they were using lots of vegetables, Broccoli, cauliflower, celery, red and green peppers, etc. now they use been sprouts, boooo ????????????

I had read reviews and was hoping I finally found a good "American Chinese" restaurant. I spoke to a woman on the phone who was very polite and friendly so one of my stars goes to service. My other star goes to their shrimp lo mein. The portion size and taste were great. Unfortunately that's all I can give. I ordered deep fried wontons and got deep fried wonton wrappers (no filling). I thought okay, honest mistake. I pulled out rice I did not order, again not a big deal. I also ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, but the chicken was so tough and dry that only one was eaten from the box. The worst dish was the Sesame chicken. I opened the container and was shocked that it was just dry breaded chicken topped with sesame seeds. Again, the meat was so tough that it was difficult just to take a bite, let alone chew. So dry it felt like chewing a chunk of cartilage. I'll order the shrimp lo mein again but nothing else. The search for good Chinese in Guelph continues.

What a joke. Ordered food at 12:15 when ot clearly states open till 1:30 am. Watched the little timer go down to 0 minutes and it switches to driver on the way and enjoy your food. Well its now 3am at the time im writing this, no food still and not even a phone call to let me know if there even coming or decided to scrap my order. Probably not a good idea to allow your website to accept orders when your not actually filling them.

I ordered takeout and it was not that great at all. The beef steaks coated in some kind of breading and soaked in sauce. I don't know if it was suppose to be like that but I didn't like it at all because it was really soggy and weird. It was also pretty flavorless as well. The breaded deep fried seafood was okay and actually had some spice and flavor. The free rice had kind of had a stale taste to it. No chopsticks, spoons and forks were in the bag. I only wanted chopsticks though. I guess I should have asked for some but in the past, all of the Chinese food places I have ordered in the past would have at least included some utensils. The staff and driver were pretty friendly though and the food was delivered quickly. I won't be ordering again though.

Simple inelegant decor but very clean. Standard Chinese fare at very reasonable prices. A beautiful gray-haired Chinese lady gave me a complementary tea. For the buffet thing manchu wok sort of stuff. A pleasant atmosphere and great conversation with the hostess. They of course do delivery and they are running a $10 off on your first order. Was happy to find this place.

5 Star Value - $5 for a box of food is unreal. This is the go-to place after a night out. I haven't tried delivery or an actual order before, I stick to the buffet. Have never gotten or felt sick after so that is a good sign! Has yet to disappoint.

The customer service is good. The older lady working there is very nice and welcoming... I wish I could say the same about the buffet. You will find stale bits of food in your meal, and unless you want explosive diarrhea, I'd think twice about it. I would highly recommend ordering from the menu instead and explicitly stating you want FRESH items if they are also in the buffet.

The only place I order Chinese food from. 4 stars because it can get pretty pricey if you get delivery and pay with debit or credit due to extra charges. Food always arrives early for me, and always arrives hot. Vegetables always taste fresh and depending on the dish, crisp. Meats are always well cooked, never had any chewy beef or anything. One of my favourite dishes is the sesame chicken. They take good note of any special instructions and Imve never had any issues with that (less sauce, extra veggies etc). Delivery drivers are always kind and professional. Great food

Inedible. Hilarious place to go to, honestly like a cult movie. Must try. Worth every penny. The Food: noodles taste like hay; “spicy chicken” was neither spicy nor chicken; sauce it sticky, yet crunchy????; spat out most of it. The Service: LAUGHABLE. I laughed out loud at her. As soon as I approached the serving area, she quickly barked at me to be quicker to order. After being served room temperature garbage, I asked her for two pairs of chopsticks, and she kept telling me that there was a fork in the bag. I wasn’t even served a bag, nor did I care for a fork, as I prefer to eat Chinese food with chopsticks (this was not food, never mind Chinese food). I finally got one pair of chopsticks, but when I asked for another pair (I ordered two servings, for my girlfriend and I). She started yelling at me that I have a fork. At first I was startled, but then I started laughing at the lack of service. What a hilarious experience. Would go again for the laughs.

Dunno why these goobers insist on getting my visa number before they even make the delivery. When the food finally got here, the machine mysteriously declined my card 4 times and when the driver called the woman, she demanded my VISA numbers again. I refused and they took my food away. Pretty sure they got a sketchy business on the side of extracting card numbers from their customers and selling them to third parties for cash. First restaurant that I came across in my life that demanded credit card information including the CV in the back for a simple order.

For the price the food is amazing. Always hot. Staff is nice and tax is included in price so you only need dollars and quarters to pay. Sesame pork is the best

You get a good amount of food for your money. There is good variety. Some foods could be fresher. Some foods need to be kept at higher temperatures.

The prices are so affordable and they are open pretty late everyday. Me and my boyfriend are always surprised about how heavy our take out order is when we pick it up, the portions are huge! The dishes are pretty authentic, and this is our fav Chinese resto in Guelph. Plus, I've never gotten sick from eating here, in case anyone was wondering. :)

Pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality, amount of food and price. We had DDfried rice, Cantonese chow mein, egg rolls, chicken balls, battered shrimp and spicy chunks of chicken. Everything was cooked nicely, not over done. We really enjoyed our meal!

My very first visit here last night. I had the Sesame Chicken and was VERY happy with my experience. The lady at the counter was a friendly and kind individual. The food that I ordered online was ready in a very short period of time and tasted great. The portions received were a great size and the cost was quite reasonable for the amount of food received. I think I found a nice new spot to pick up a quick bite to take home for lunch. I will definitely return.
