Thank you Long & McQuade for being professional at what you do! Our son has played the violin for a couple years now, and has thoroughly loved it...until we decided to get the next size up from an online retailer. That instrument was not the same quality at all. When we went in today, they took our old violin we had purchased from them in on trade for a new one. We are very pleased about the fairness of the deal. But, even better, our son sounds so much better on the new violin!!! Truly professional in both how we were treated and the quality of the instrument we received!

I have been a client from the time they were still GP Music. Overall they lost some of the family atmosphere but the service stayed the same. They have a broad line of instruments and varying price classes but cheaper here does not equate with poor quality. It is THE store to go too for music.

I went to Long and McQuade this morning, bought a new Jackson and Fender amp for practicing here at the Rig. It was absolutely amazing to see Mike M. again as I moved from GP in 2007, someone had told me get ready to meet the new Mike, well Mike you are still the same . It was wicked meeting Tanner,as well as, your Son, man I just can't believe the time you took to welcome me back and as well, help me pick out new equipment. This is the place go for ALL your gear needs !!! This guy will travel 800 kms to get all of my equipment needs taken care of. You guys kill it.. Since others seem to feel like they need to hide their identity to attack this store, I feel as though someone should do the same to compliment it. I've been bringing my instruments here for years, repairs covering everything from a quick restring to a complete overhaul, and have never had anything short of an amazing job done. There is no better place in Grande Prairie to take your instruments for repair. The staff is not only knowledgable, but willing to take the time to make sure you understand everything about the products they are selling you. Top notch.

Took a guitar in and asked if they were able to replace a truss rod nut and and perform a set up. Guy at the desk said yes we can do that. Picked the guitar up and was told a new truss rod nut was not needed but a setup was performed. Took the guitar home and the the strings were high off the neck, intonation was off and the neck was unplayable after the 12th fret. Paid $110 for some guy to replace the strings no work was done. Don't give a cent to these scammers. If i had known better I would have checked the guitar at the counter and refused to pay. ---- edit --- responded to owner as per his request and my email was ignored --- don't give this guy your business.

AWESOME music store! The Staff here are amazing, selection is good and the prices are reasonable. There's also a good selection of used instruments (at times) and good rental options. They also do instrument repairs and set-ups, and I highly recommend them for that.

Some good experiences in the past, but when I got there 10 minutes before they closed in need of a new bass, I wasn't allowed to plug one in. Wouldn't be a big deal if I didnt live 3 hours away. They didn't really care they wanted to get out of there, can't really say I blame them, but wish they would've sold me that bass. Lucky for them they are the only decent music store in a 3 hour radius.

Denis did everything he could to trouble shoot and explain how it worked. The unit we bought used didn't work and we had to get new which worked right away. Just-Fix-In

Had my les paul set up and the electronics gone through. Paid about 160 all said and done. After about 1 hour of playing my neck pickup started to seem weaker and weaker. Now, a couple weeks later and maybe 4 hours of play time have passed. No neck pickup at all. I pulled off the body cavity cover and found the neck pickup wires just sitting there, no longer soldered to anything. I guess if you want something done right the first time do it yourself.. also asked for them to check out fret buzz on the low E string, and if needed send the guitar to a luthier in Grande Prairie. Guitar was returned to me, still buzzing.. being that I live an hour away this is all super inconvenient. I dont care about the cost, I just want my guitar fixed, properly, and the first time.

These guys were amazing. I only hung out for about half an hour but they are very down to earth, knowledgeable and even though I took up a bit of their time passed closing they were so great and patient with me.. and listening to them play guitar and piano was awesome while we waited forever for an etransfer to come through!!
