Line’s food is a religious experience. Literally everything I’ve tried has been super fresh and beyond amazing. I always plan my Ottawa trips around a meal here, and you’re missing out if you don’t give it a try.

Sadly disappointing. I used to love this place but the service, price, and quality of food have suffered. It's still good though, just not great anymore. It's very average. The salmon fresh enough but was very bland like it was never seasoned. You can get a better service and value for your money elsewhere. Make this restaurant your last choice when in Chelsea. If you're looking for good seafood prepared on point with good flavour, try the Fish Market on Merivale in Ottawa. If you're dinning in Chelsea and are looking for a comparable price point, try the Manchester or Chelsea Pub. Both are better. My preference is the Chelsea Pub which btw is not just pub food.

Le Resto is well known for their fish and chips and with good reason. It was among the best fish and chips I've had. Made with fresh cod it was delicious. I also had the caesar salad with lardon bacon which was really, really good.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was blown away by the awesome shrimp roll. Absolutely delicious! A mound of cocktail-sized shrimp in a super-tasty sauce on a butter-toasted, old-fashioned split hotdog-style bun. Also ordered a side of fries that were 10 out of 10 - crisp & crunchy outside with creamy interior. This is a modest little place in a strip mall with some picnic tables outside. Highly recommended!

What a shame! Great food but mismanaged and chaotic. If you're lucky enough to get decent service, then you'll enjoy the food. But there's a limit... waiting over an hour for fish and chips!! Then being told you are not welcomed back, and being kick out rudely! This restaurant doesn't merit your patronage. We are foodies and this restaurant rates very low because of their attitude of "if you don't like it leave" ! There are many other places that are as good or better, that will treat you properly! Service is a big part of the experience...you be the judge.

Wife and I had a great meal here. The fresh bread and cream of cauliflower soup was an excellent appetizer, followed by great entrees: solid Fish and Chips, and a tasty salmon on a bed of greens. Everything tasted fresh and prepared with care. The place is small and cozy, and has a friendly ambience. It is clear that the owner cares and enjoys serving his guests.

Very good food, decent service. Three things that I thought were kind of weird. 1. I had to pay for a piece of bread to eat with my soup...... 2. I ordered 2 pieces fish and chip and my dad got 1 piece and his piece was as big as my 2 pieces combined. 3. You can upgrade your plate by replacing the fries forms salad (3$) witch is in reality salad leaves soaked in dressing, no veggies, no garnish...plain green leaves... Otherwise good experience

Unplaisant experience because the owner is quite controlling and so deals with clients like in the military and lacks manners. She had the nerve to say outloud and provocatively to clients after me, (who asked like me, if they could sit outside at the picnic table and asked if we were vaccinated and if not we couldn't), that she thought the passport law was a good thing!! Won't be returning. Fish cake was not crispy and lacking flavor with too much mashed potatoes.

My boyfriend made a reservation for 1 pm for our 1 year anniversary. He specifically asked for us to be seated at the table where we had our first date. On the phone, the waiter said there would be no issues. When we arrived at the restaurant, Lynn, the owner greeted us and asked us to take a seat a different table. We explained the whole situation and she said that it was IMPOSSIBLE that we made a reservation, because they don’t do that. She then said, “It’s not about the parking lot view, it’s about gazing in each other’s eyes”, which of course we knew, we just thought it would be special to sit at the same table (and we were confirmed that was going to happen). Overall, she used an extremely condescending tone, and even after reading in the reservations book and seeing that we were right, she said that everyone wanted that table and we could only sit there if it was available (which is literally the reason we called and reserved in the first place). She offered no apology whatsoever for the mix up and almost made it seem like it was our fault we wanted that table in the first place. Terrible customer service experience. It’s not hard to read a reservations book or at least read it before saying it’s impossible and making us feel stupid. We understand that mix ups happen and running a restaurant is not the easiest thing. But a simple sorry would have gone a long way, especially knowing that it was a special day for us.

Asked for ice tea when ordering meal, received a Long Island iced tea. Made sure to confirm the mix up but the place still had the nerve to charge for it when we gave back the drink and decided to stick with water. I didn’t fuss as we were already uncomfortable they apparently kick people out who complain. Very uncomfortable setting and unprofessional. I’d rather go with an original like lapointe’s over the bridge and get an actually 6 ounce fish and chip.
