We went there on Tuesday, October 11 and we have split a half rack of ribs which came with coleslaw, Mac & Cheese and onion rings as we ordered a Nacho plate as an entré. The nachos were really good....it would be great if they put cheese/salsa in the middle instead of having to eat nacho chips alone. Now, for the main dish. We were honestly disapointed and couldn't believe that we had to pay for what we were eating. 1- The Mac & Cheese: The sauce was good, but the pasta was undercooked. 2- The Onion rings: They had a burnt taste to them. I don't know if the oïl was old or something but we didn't eat them all. 3- The ribs: The sauce alone was delicious but when you started eating the meat, it didn't taste much. Like it wasn't marinated correctly. The HALF rack was very small. 4- The cole slaw was bland. We had to add vinegar to it. I will not be going there again.

I've never seen a waitress be rude, intimidate, almost yell at me, for a tip. I mean it's Gatineau where there are people who cannot afford to pay more than what they have, it's ridiculous. For the food, it was decent. The wait time is a bit long but not unbearable and the atmosphere is indeed enjoyable. If you're ever going to eat at this place, make sure you're not a student and that you're in the least a dentist.

It's conviently located right by the bus stop for those wanting to drop in after a day's work. The food consists of your standard bar type options, and what I've tried (salad, wings, burger, fries) have all been good. No complaints about service either. I think it's a nice touch that they have a serve-yourself popcorn machine. No doubt in the spirit of loading you up with salt to get you to drink more, but it's tasty and always appreciated nonetheless.

Very disappointed. For a sports bar the menu is ridiculous...looks more like an attempt at'fine dining'...3 tartar items..??? Ordered a hot chicken sandwich with mashed potatoes. The sauce was luke warm and not to my liking (taste). The chicken was chopped very finely with bacon (menu claim, cannot confirm) and looked like something that would be served to someone lacking teeth. VERY unappealing. The mashed potatoes were actually quite tasty and reasonably hot. My sister-in-law had nachos Topped with cold onion rings and unmelted cheese. Service was fair...certainly not great. My friend chose the sausages and they did not seem over cooked. Nothing to say about the service from the waitress, but the food is not quality for the price. (Original) Ce restaurant a beaucoup changé. Avant les rénovations, j'y allais souvent et les portions étaient grosses et ce n'était pas si cher. Depuis, ils ont augmenté nettement les prix et les quantités sont petites. J'ai pris le Blitz burger (un cheeseburger bien simple) avec une poutine. La sauce à poutine était dégueulasse. Mon amie a choisi les saucisses et elles ne semblaient pas très cuites. Rien à dire sur le service de la serveuse, mais la nourriture n'est pas de qualité pour le prix.

It's a popular sports bar on weekends -parking lot is always full! Good sign I guess!? Atmosphere is loud, and lively with several big screens showing hockey, baseball, wrestling and extreme sports. Fish tacos were really good as well as the side poutine we ordered. The brie and mushroom burger was dry and I personally found the portion small for the price. However I saw a lot of massive nacho plates topped with onion rings being passed out and I'm thinking this might be my order next time I'm looking for a place to watch a Canadians vs Senators game!

I ordered the blitz and a poutine instead of the regular fries for around 20 dollars, the burger was more than ordinary. The poutine looked and tasted like it was made hours ago, tossed in the microwawed and served, it was discusting. I had been there in a couple of years and it's not about to change.

We go every Fri night and have drinks with finger foods. What makes this place so special is our server "Mike". He has to be the best bartender in all of Gatineau. He remembers are likes and dislikes and we have never had to ask for another drink, it always just appears. He has taken the time to get to know us and always has a friendly smile. We truly appreciate him and he makes us feel like more than a client. La cage should be so thankful for him. On another note, the food....yummy and consistent. I usually order the nachos and my partner the burger always done exactly like the time before and has never been wrong (even though we are quite picky about what we want on it). They have free popcorn which we endulge in and the atmosphere is great. I wouldn't go anyplace else for drinks and food (not kidding!)

I did not enjoy this experience at all. Asked for a couple of drinks in the bar area and the waitress/barmaid didnt know how to make the drinks we asked for. They asked us to Google the recipe! Black Russian and chocolate martini. The fish and chips was bad. The french fries were dried out and hard. I asked for fresh ones and they said that more would taste the same so refused to give me some and offered another side instead. I got a salad and it was ok. The 1 piece of fried fish was ok, but after the meal I got intestinal issues. The fish and chips was 19$ . Expensive for what I had. My friend had a chicken salad and said it was good. Not impressed and wont go back. I also want to add that they are very french. I speak french so I did not have a problem but my friend is English and they could not provide service in English.

They are racists... My boyfriend and I showed up with a reservation. They told us that it would be a couple of minutes before we could get seated. We didn't think anything of it so we waited at the entrance together... We then waited about 20 minutes, meanwhile, about THREE couples (pairs of two) had walked in (one pair had a reservation at the SAME time as us), and they were escorted RIGHT AWAY . As for the others, they had NO reservations and were also immediately seated, as soon as they walked in the door. The staff kept pretending to act friendly in telling us that the only spot left in the restaurant was a table in a corner, (probably the worst seats in the entire restaurant), and that if we wanted better seats, we would have to wait even longer. We took the seats since we were really starting to get hungry. The food was decent, I had ordered a salad with no cheese, and they brought it with out with the cheese, and they told me that they would make a new one. Unfortunately, I had to wait another 10- 15 minutes until my salad was brought, come to find out, the second time around, there were still chunks of cheese mixed in there. I am vegan and so that again was very disappointing for me. The vinaigrette contained milk as well, which I wasn't aware of. (my fault since I hadn't specified), though I would assume someone would mention that since I had made a big deal with the cheese... On the other hand, my boyfriend had ordered fries and gravy, which tasted moldy, as if the pan in which they had made the sauce was old and dirty, or as if the sauce was so old that it had a moldy flavour you couldn't ignore to it. Throughout our meal, about three or four different workers passed by multiple times without saying anything just to look, making us feel as if we were doing something wrong. Not to mention, throughout the evening, some of the customers around us were staring... After the meal (while were were still eating) ,we were given the bill and were not offered any dessert until after we mentioned it. It was quite obvious that we were not welcome to stay any longer. Crazy to think that we are almost in 2018, in Canada, and these people are treating others badly because of their skin complexion. It is sickening and we will not be going back there to support this unjust, distasteful behaviour. Shame on Quebec. Some things need to change. We will most definitely not going back and I don't suggest anyone to go there as well.. Sadly for them, they are losing what could have been loyal customers since we both worked in association with the company (in Ottawa) for a couple of years. We receive all the coupons and know all the staff out there and all. This is disgraceful and not okay. Good luck to anyone that is different in going there. My thoughts go out to you.
