One word sums it up: EPIC!!! These burgers are a like the mount Everest of burgers, you eat them to be able to say you did it. The staff is also extremely friendly, although make sure you have a French speaker in your group.

I love this place, I go every year for my birthday and eat for free by subscribing to their emails (like once per month?). Their portions are big and they have amazing mac N cheese, grilled cheese and they also have a lunch special each week which I love (between 10-15$ for soup + meal + coffee)

Great service. Nice atmosphere but it was a Sunday evening so it wasn’t too busy. The portions were big which was nice considering most places don’t give you your money’s worth. The drinks were good too. Burger was really good and fresh. I ordered the mashed potatoes as a side which I wasn’t a huge fan of but other than everything was very good. My sister brought most of her poutine home as it was so big !

Awesome burgersand grilled cheese! Quality and selection have something for everyone at a very reasonable price. Decor alone makes for some interesting conversations. Staff are knowledgeable friendly and fast. Wait times can be long but it's worth it. Tons of parking in the mall parking lot. Haven't experienced late night but heard it's good too.

This place is more than a simple restaurant. It's an experience. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the decor. Beer kegs on the wall, huge murals on your way to the washroom, tables with chairs that don't match. The entire vibe is young and refreshing. They also have kool-aid marinated pickles, which is strange until you taste it. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey but it'll definitely become a once in a while treat.

The service was casual and pretty good. The order came up quickly. Price was a little high but expected given the location. Burger choices were interesting and the Dallas burger was nice. No craft beer, and only uninspired Molson and Labbatt's taps. Try to avoid sitting near the door, as the blasts of cold air make it pretty uncomfortable.

The poutine was good. The burgers were good but very sloppy when you eat it. As for the soft drinks, not to mention they charged us for them $3.75 each but they were flat and tasteless. We did mention to them there was an issue with the soft drinks, they said they were aware if it but yet still charged us! Really!! Will not be going back there. Will go to the Cage instead. So disappointed! Thought it would be better then what it was!

Large and noisy but great place to spend some boisterous time with friends over large drinks and even larger burgers. Make as much noise as you want and no one will even notice yet families bring their kids here for lunch. We were a large work group celebrating the holiday cheer so service was slow. But we had time to kill so no one really noticed. The drinks kept coming and were surprisingly reasonably priced. Perfect for large gatherings.

Wonderful staff!!! Great service! Even better food. Bringing nostalgia back with a vengeance. This restaurant has a great atmosphere for your family or your friends. I found that the drink menu was creative and vast, food menu stayed more focused on beef and pork products. However, they do have vegetarian options. The menus are only in French but the servers seem pretty fluent in both French and English.

Have been here quite a few times and it’s always a treat. The atmosphere is cool and the menu is different and innovative. I was curious to see what the negative reviews were but they all seem to be grumpy people with bad attitudes complaining about the decor, so those reviews can be ignored ;) this place is great and i think the decor is enjoyable to look at. 5 stars for originality. 5 stars for food quality. Yes the price might be a little bit higher than some other places but the experience and food are worth it, and let’s face it, the prices are not that bad anyways. You pay way more for a burger and beer at some places in Ottawa where the burger is 80% bun!

We love this restaurant! We go once a week and we have never been disappointed. They play classic rock music on Friday nights and it is quite the nice atmosphere. Young and old are there so you fit in regardless. The food is so delicious and the drinks are made to perfection each time. Also, we have got to know the owner somewhat and he is very approachable and appreciative of our business. We used to go to La Cage Aux Sport and thought that was a great place but this place even tops it. Best sports bar in Gatineau.

Very busy spot. Recommend getting a reservation if going on Friday or Saturday. Burgers use good quality meat, and have very generous portions. I ordered the heart attack, as you can see from the photo, it is very big...and delicious. Also if you like cocktails, their menu is to die for. They have a big variety of cocktails to suit anyone's needs. All in all very good experience and atmosphere.

My favorite is the King Kong (a burger patty topped with bacon, an egg, between two grilled cheese sandwiches). They also have an amazing selection of very tasty cocktails, so this is also a nice place to stop by for drinks.

Have edited the review based on Restaurant comments. Now it is 5 star. Not their fault that Quebec is difficult. This place would have 5 stars if they respected their beef. To have “beef” in your name and then to serve over done burgers is not right. I went with a friend, and hers was overdone as well. It is not like we asked for very well done. We weren’t asked. They just brought out the dry burgers. Just a hint, if you have to add mayo to the burger to get juiciness, it is overdone. The mashed potatoes were a bit dry as well, but some people like them that way. No one likes a dry burger. Everything else was perfect. The service, the patio, the drinks. It is such a shame.

The place is really good, original with the deco, test like fresh ingredients, but can be really loud some days (that you yell to the person beside you). I miss one of there burger that they removed ( bleu bleu bleu) but know in love with the el camino. Most servers are good but can be slow to sever if its slow day cause some prefer to chat. But for a great burger do go there. I really recommend it.

First of all we were 4 people they did not bother to ask for booth table we asked that can we get a booth. Also the waitress just threw all the cutlery and went away. After she came to get drinks she gave drinks in different cups both the times like the same drink twice in different cups which was weird. We had gift card she tried to steal the money from us the gift card said balance left and she said the same balance left was the amount we had to pay so we paid and then we gave tip in cash so she took the cash the left over amont plus the gift card with balance as well very smart. Seriously service was slow plus you try to steal money from people who do not understand French. We were talking for a bit and then suddenly we caught this called her back cleared everything she gave the gift card back also the amount we paid which we were not suppose to because it was a gift card and kept the cash understanding her tip. How mean and how smart you steal money from people. If I write numbers it's clearly she tried to take almost 40% tip of the total amount we ate food for. The waitress I dont know the name but she was having sharp jawline and a ponytail .

Great food choices, the poke bowls are interesting and nice, but definitely come here for the burgers, local friends took us here and the bacon wrapped burger was incredible for the wife, I had the one with 3 kinds of cheese on it, also amazing. There are some massive burgers for about $40-60 but they are about 5lbs of meat , I think is just for the picture ....great decor, onion rings were really good.

Editing my review. We had the table from 5:30 to 9. The drinks were great, food was good, server was friendly and the decor is awesome. Only complaint is that the music got super loud at 8 and that you have to be a group of 6 to reserve, so you're never sure you'll be able to get in if you're just two.

We heard good things about this place so we dropped by for lunch. We were greeted at the door and seated by a great hostess - but we waited 15 minutes for service to start. I ordered a soft drink and waited another 10 minutes for it which was not great. Our server was pleasant but not motivated to deliver sterling service that day it seems. Burgers were good but the onion rings were soggy with oil and not pleasant - but we didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes to share that with out server who continued to disappear. Price was reasonable and certainly not cheap - the burger was very good with a lot to choose from. If the service improves we’ll go back - or maybe it was just a bad day for servers Additional note: thank you for responding to my review - I’m open to another try if you are - if do, please let me know how to contact you to set up a reservation

Best burger bar I have ever been too! The atmosphere has a unique design and has a lot if creativity. The waitstaff speaks both English and French and they have menus in both languages. The food was great and the service was amazing. Our waitstaff was knowledgeable and very engaging. It is attached to the mall so you can do some shopping and the restaurant is opened late as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is the first and probably last time I visit this restaurant. Last night i ordered take out from the gatineau (blvd Maloney) location. several things went wrong, Firstly payment taken was incorrect, I was charged the wrong amount (partly my fault as i didn't check the amount i was being charged before i paid). Secondly when i got to my car i checked the entire order and two of the three meals ordered were wrong. i went back in and got them remade. Unfortunately Only two of the three meals were remade, making the third meal cold by the time i got home. They also tried to give me the same fries and poutine that was made in the first order. Obviously they were already cold before i left the restaurant. The Hostesses were friendly and apologetic, however with all of the things that went wrong i feel like a manager should have taken over. I had very high expectations when i walked in as a couple of my friends recommended the place. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Music is great. Even the owner greeted us and thanked us at the end, which is rarely seen nowadays. Why 2 stars only? Because it is a burger place with horrible burgers. The meat in 2 out of 3 burgers were not even well cooked, not tasty nor good and the fries are fried at least twice as they were saggy, lastly the coleslaw, oh my, I never had any worse. All in all it is overrated.

I actually couldn't get in on Saturday because it was way too loud. I felt like I was going to a dance club. You cannot hear yourself. I came in with 5 people and as soon as they got in they quickly said "nope". If this is a The Works-like place then it's not one I can give a chance with this sort of loudness. The other restaurant plays classic rock too but you can still have great conversations with friends and family. Hugely disappointed considering I love the sort of food that's served here and wanted to try it.

Comfortable patio and charming atmosphere inside. That the patio overlooks a parking lot and busy road is unavoidable at the location, but obviously not an asset. The service was efficient and friendly, and managed to adapt seamlessly to recent COVID practices. The menu had solid variety without being overwhelming. The food itself was mediocre: burgers could use more and more interesting sauces, fries were nothing to write home about, kool-aid pickles, while unique, were not solidly "good" so much as "interesting." Pleasant experience overall, though not one that begged to be repeated.

Seriously the best burger I've had in forever! I tried The Beauty/La Belle. The fig jam was amazing and really made the flavors of the burger pop. I paired my burger with their onion rings which were a bit lukewarm but still very very good. Not super greasy and the amount of batter was just right. Le Coeur Blanc sangria was crisp, light, and delicious. I've never tried apples in sangria before but it gave it an interesting flavor. Definitely going to return again and again!

Ive been to two locations ( Montreal/ Gatineau) now and both were awesome . Great atmosphere and even better food. Took the family today and our food arrived to our table in 5 mins and was great! My kids never eat or even come close to finishing what we order them and they polished off the whole plate! Definitely coming back !

The decor is awesome: a pacman machine and some great artwork. The burgers though are incredible. The choices on the menu are impressive. Over-the-top choice of toppings is not new to the region; "The Works" has been around for years. The difference here is that the foundation - the patty itself - is sublime, regardless of how it is dressed.

Friday nights, the DJ plays great music to go along with the delicious burgers and sides they serve here. Also, the server I had here was one of the most intuitive servers I've ever had without being annoying or intrusive, just pretty awesome. The food is, as usual, very good and very enjoyable. It was delicious, honestly I would eat there again anytime! Personally, I took a poutine and it was really good. I want to say that the portions are really big (there's even a burger that costs around 60$ because it's so big). The poutine I took was more then enough for me. Usually, I eat everything in my plate but this time it was really hard. There was so much food to was insane! The restaurant looks really nice, the people are super kind and they seem to care about you (more then some other places). I think that of they make their portions a little smaller and maybe work a little on their menu, I would have given 5*.

On Monday afternoon I physically went to reserve the patio for Friday at 5:30 but they didn't have our out reservation. We did get a spot on terrasse because someone didn't show up. I was quite disappointed since I went there physically. Food and drinks were awesome though.

The ambience is truly an experience. Come early and enjoy everything it has to offer. It is not just to fill your stomach but a feast for your eyes as well! The wall of alcohol is incredible and accessable to the top tier is done by a ladder, like in a library! The food..omg. that's the second part of this place. There is so much to choose from, it took me several minutes to decide. It has become my favorite place to visit in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. Do not leave this area without visiting this place! Take the time out of your schedule to visit this place, well worth it!

Service was great! And that's where the 2 stars are from. Food wise, what a disappointment. It falls very flat to the expectation all the ads across towns seems to indicate. The franchise seems to be in some kind of path to search for it's on personality only to be deemed "I'm cool and extreme" with there food only to be a false image. Very overpriced (if you think your good, you'll charge what ever you want) for what you get! Can't seem to get the basic of a good burger so it just overwhelm you with different "crazy" topping. A good burger would keep it simple and search for a specific taste. Go get meat at your favorite butcher, get the topping you want, Youtube recipe to make the best burger and you'll have an easier time. Maybe the franchise should do the same and redo their menu. I doubt this review will affect their way of doing their food but who knows... Shame because the staff are very friendly ... and aren't surprise that we weren't impress with their food, which speaks volume.

Good food and service. The burgers were really a pleasant surprise, as they were juicy but not greasy. The flavours were excellent and the portions were reasonable. The staff were very well trained and accommodating. I was initially concerned about the atmosphere but it ended up being more pleasant than anything else. I would definitely recommend going here and trying a burger.

Poor client service! Called in to make a reservation for a dinner party of 9, and they refused me! Don't take reservations on Fridays and Saturdays nights from 5 to 7! This is my second time here, first time was the location in Montreal. This has become my new favourite burger place in the vacinity of Ottawa. This beats the works by a long shot. The atmosphere is great, reasonably priced, and good portions. They have small touches that make them unique, like kool-aid pickles! Even the coleslaw comes in tiny mason jars. I'm thoroughly impressed with this hidden gem. Service was great, people who rated low are probably just rude to begin with. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone I know!

Have eaten at this location of La Belle & La Boeuf several times and generally the burgers have been good! The menu is certainly varied, and there are a ton of options, but portions are large, the meat is decent quality and the fries make for a nice accompaniment. The prices are on the more expensive side for a burger at a chain location, but for the area, it's probably one of the best burgers you can get. The in store dining experience is also enjoyable, although during Covid-19, the takeout is still a very solid option.

Spending $60.00 on takeout food. You would think they would give you napkins, utensils and ketchup. The severs don't even notice you when your waiting. Even one sever asking her for utensils gave so much attitude because she can't bring 2 things at one time. The only one helpful was taking my order. Gravy and other items like Mac and cheese is good. But there mushroom burger is mess. Way to many toppings to even hold .

Every time we go here, the place is always hopping with people. Usually busy. It’s the best burger bar in Gatineau. The food is delicious. I always have fun going here. Brings back the past with the music they play and the atmosphere. It’s a really nice place. It’s located in the Promenades in Gatineau. Had a burger topped with mushrooms and fries. It was as expected, nothing special. The bun didn't live up to expectations, especially considering it is a restaurant specialized in burgers. The kool-aid flavored pickle is gross. The restaurant is easy to access, clean and modern but very noisy. Service was as expected.

Great decor and serving staff. Terrible food. The veggie burger (Joplin) was a terrible mealy patty covered in mayo. The salmon tartar also terrible. The salad was anything but fresh. The beer selection was subpar , the Goose Island IPA from the two tasted like dishwashing soap.

It was totally worth the drive. This was the sloppy joe grilled cheese. I wouldn't however recommend the salad at all. Stick to the fries or anything else. Avoid the salad. The sandwich/tomato soup was AMAZING. I WOULD highly recommend the sandwich hands down. Went back and had more food off the menu; the mac and cheese burger as well as the mac and cheese ringolos and 2 AMAZING deserts. MUST GO.

Great burgers! If you stick to those you won’t be disappointed. Usually good plain food and pretty consistent. Stay away from the fish burger (awful batter) and overpriced grilled cheese. We ordered a house salad last time …
