Small plates (they pretend that it is tapas style, but it is pricey if you add up all the small plates you got to have to have a proper dinner) not Japanese. As Gordon Ramsey says, it is "confusion". The staff is wonderful and working hard people, especially the manager gosh! You get your food quick and by the time you get it, you don't even realise that you were waiting. Although the Makis (sushis) were excellent, I recommend staying away from the Tapas. We have finished the meal with some tapas and it was either deep fried or too fatty. I had impression eating raw bacon when I got the pork sirloin. I am sure Japanese people don't eat like that. I finally asked the waitress to finish with a house recommendation that would be lighter, to forget the oily fatty dishes they served us, and yet, the waitress came back with oily deep fried crab balls. I took a quarter of a bite and left the rest there. I went back home with an upset stomach.. and an upset wallet (very expensive) Furthermore, service was bad: the waitress was definitely spending too much time at one specific table, providing a complete course of Asian cuisine to a couple... to a point where I had to go myself at the bar and ask for drinks.

Higher than average prices for mediocre food. Much of the fare comes out of the deep fryer and was not very well though out in terms of flavour. Service was well below standard. Even found a hair in the sauce and little was done to remedy the problem. Much of the service was about going through the motions but missing the point. For example our server walked by and asked how things were but didn't even slow down to hear that our water was empty.

FANTASTIC! In my opinion, best sushi place in Ottawa-Gatineau. I have no idea why others would have any complaints. Dishes are not too big (which is a major sore point for me in our north american society) and could care less about it being a bit "expensive" which I don't think it is. My second time here and absolutey last time. Portions are small and very pricey for low quality food. Both times sashimi was not fresh, salad not fresh (turning brown and tastes rotten), red tuna (was brown), imitation crab meat had a weird flavor. It was so bad I had to spit it out.
