A small village where you don't expect to see queues waiting for a place at the Café du village. This was however the case on this Wednesday noon at the Café de l'Anse. It must be said that the tourist brochure of Quebec presenting the Gaspé has a good rating for their regional cuisine. In any case, that was what led me to this restaurant. After a carrot / orange soup, I had salted cod balls for a meal ($ 18); the dish is also available as a starter. Delicious! Note that lunch seems to be served most of the day. The service is cordial, with a smile. I arrived at 11:45 am and at 12:20 pm, we were lining up to sit down. This Café is the heart of the Cultural Center. The villagers rolled up their sleeves and made a success of this Cultural Center, housing the restaurant and exhibitions of artists. The Center has a small terrace which directly overlooks the sea. The spray adds to the fun. The unsecured WIFI is free and works very well. (Original) J'y suis retourné, cette année, en août 2020. Toujours aussi délicieux pour les galettes de morue salée-séchée. Un orgasme gustatif! L'Anse-aux-Griffons est à l'une des entrées du Parc national Forillon. Un petit village où on ne s'attend pas à voir des queues attendant une place au Café du village. Ce fut pourtant le cas en ce mercredi midi au Café de l'Anse. Il faut dire que le fascicule touristique du Québec présentant la Gaspésie fait état d'une bonne note pour leur cuisine régionale. En tout cas, ce fut ce qui m'a conduit à ce resto. Après un potage aux carottes/oranges, j'ai pris des boules de morue salée en repas (18$); le mets est aussi disponible en entrée. Délicieux! Noter que le déjeuner semble servi une bonne partie de la journée. Le service est cordial, avec le sourire. Je suis arrivé à 11h45 et à 12h20, on faisait la file pour s'attabler. Ce Café est le coeur du Centre culturel. Les villageois se sont retroussés les manches et ils ont fait un succès de cen Centre culturel, abritant le resto et des expositions d'artistes. Le Centre a une petite terrasse qui donne directement sur la mer. Les embruns ajoutent au plaisir. Le WIFI non sécurisé est gratuit et fonctionne très bien.
