I have shopped at Co-op Gander since we moved back to NL 7 years ago.Imagine my shock when I went to pick up my groceries about a month ago.The prices were unbelievable.I overheard two staff members say that's the 4th person that has just walked out leaving their cart full of groceries behind..this is ridiculous.Needless to say I left my full cart of groceries behind and threw my Co-op card in the trash bin as I was leaving,,,I have been shopping at Dominion since...not only do they have better specials(especially meats),but a lot of their prices were lower and canned and packaged goods at Walmart were so much lower.After making an inquiry,I learned you have a new manager.Please someone tell him he's not going to sell many cans of pie filling at 8.97...Wallmart was 3.97...just to let you know you do have competition!The only thing you have going for you is friendly staff.....but to be perfectly honest Dominion and Walmart have friendly staff also...

I can no longer get a salmon fillet at the Coleman co-op in Gander. I was told by the meat manager that he has nobody to fillet the salmon. Fact is, the co-op in Lewisport still has them so they can be gotten, just not by Colemans. The meat manager at the co-op in Lewisport says the slabs of salmon fillets arrive at the store already prepared so the Coleman's meat manager wasn't being truthful with me. As well, Lillydale turkey sausage have disappeared. Both dominion and Colemans have many sizes and types of beef and pork sausage but can't seem to get one brand of turkey sausage. Gander co-op always carried them. Why can't they get them now? These were the two main reasons I shopped at the co-op, now, it seems, they're becoming as bad as Dominion.
