Standard grocery store, but does have some products that aren't available at the nearby Sobeys or Walmart. Also holds the only cannabis shop in the GFW area so expect line-ups. Lines are usually fairly quick, having the option of self-checkout is really nice. Store is fairly clean, employees are helpful.

Visited to use PC Financial ATM and not impressed with the location as it's quite a distance inside the store and I had to move carts with discounted products to use the machine. Also, the ATM constantly has no receipt paper.

This is a great grocery store, well organized and clean. As well, it is easy to navigate and to find everything. The only thing they seem to lack is enough stock for sales items. If you aren't there at the crack of dawn the day the sale starts, chances are they will be out of stock. This even seems to be the case when they limit the amount customers can purchase. Other then that, they tend to have a good overall selection.

If I could do a -1 star I would!. A friend went down to pick up up something for me. Paid 85$ just to get HALF of what I paid for(NOT EVEN THE RIGHT KIND EITHER) was told there’s nothing they would do about it because it was “opened” already, YES they can give me the rest they owe me OR my money back.Especially for my first time being in the province I am not happy whatsoever!!!

Store has great selection and is clean. Line ups can long at times. On several occasions I've purchased items listed on sale but paid full price at the checkout. Most recently, I brought it to the tellers attention on 2 items that were displayed on sale but were full price at the register, I was told that I could take my issue to customer service, rather than verify the issue at the point of sale. After waiting in a lineup to get served, the last thing a customer wants is to be told to go to another line up. Buyer be aware, pay close attention at the register to the scanned price.

The greedy owners allowed a strike because they don't give the workers what they are worth. I'm sitting here during a pandemic taking care of a sick 90+ year old woman. I used to be able to get everything I needed in one quick stop. Now I have to run around to find what I need. I don't think I'll shop there again. God Bless the Workers who are suffering now because of the trumpian owners.

Dominion is well organized store with a large selection of grocery items. The deli and produce sections are well stocked as is the bakery. The meats were satisfactory but not a large variety of cuts. There is also a kitchen wares section and a pharmacy.

This grocery store carries more products than other similar stores in this area. However Saturday morning when we go for groceries the shelves are bare, aisles are crowded with pallets of stock waiting to be out. Product that are on sale or special are not available.

My wife and I went to this Dominion to get her a phone card and sim card. While most of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, there was one person in particular that I was quite dissatisfied with. She was working in the smoke shop and her name was BOBBIE! She was very rude and condescending towards my wife and I. SHE EVER PURSED HER LIPS AT US AND GRITTED HER TEETH!! Her body language spoke volumes. I will be making a formal complaint to the manager. Because of this one cashier, my whole experience there was damaged.

Constantly out of produce, and meats. They always use the excuse “ waiting on the truck because the boat was delayed”. Bread never makes it to its best before date, mold 5-6 days before. Short staffed so it’s always long line ups. I’ve shopped at other dominion stores in St. Johns and have never had the issues that this store has. Better off going to co-op.

Dominion's online shopping started yesterday and I ordered today. What a great experience with such helpful staff. Glynnis, my personal shopper, and I are now best friends as she was in contact with me to make sure my order was perfect, Brandon was so helpful as we màde sure everything was paid correctly, and as I unpacked my groceries from the ECO friendly tote bags I found a delightful thank you note from Courtney. As if this wasn't nice enough there were little freebies, a banana, a bottle of water, and a package of popcorn. Not only are they offering a much needed service they are making sure customer satisfaction is their number one goal. Thank you so much!

This is a modern, big box supermarket. Bright, clean and organized we had no trouble finding what we came for. Growing up I only remember Dominion stores to be small and dim. This store was nothing like that. Fresh produce, giant frozen section and great prices.

Dominion by the Quidi Vidi lake is where I usually shop even thought I live 20 kms away.I know where every thing is in the store. I have shopped there since the first day it opened. This is my grocery store in Newfoundland. They have everything you'd want (in-store deli with hot food, fresh salads/juices, a bakery, health foods, seafoods, pharmacy, vegan section etc). They often have racks of obscure specialty items on discount (they must bring them in from other stores cuz I nvr see these items on the regular shelves). They also have great non-advertised deals around the store (50% stickers) and a flashfood.com fridge. They could water their leafy greens more often to prevent wilting would be my only suggestion. Luvs this Dominion and I support their workers' rights and living wage request.
