Well made Japanese food! Didn't expect that before we saw the dishes! We have four ppl and ordered five rolls. They were all great, especially the scallops roll. The restaurant served us free dessert too! A bit expensive, but worthy of the price!

This place is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very pleasant and helpful with menu items. I love sushi and sushi sun definitely didn't disappoint. With a large order ready to go in almost record time. I recommend sushi sun to anyone who appreciates and enjoys sushi as much as myself. If you get the chance please check them out and give them a try. Well worth the money and the drive. Will be our new go to spot.

Despite COVID-19, they're still doing take out and the quality is just as always, excellent! Ordered the Special Unagi Roll, Salmon and Tuna Sashimi and they even threw in a couple pieces of Nigiri! My stepmom is from Osaka Japan and the food here is as good or better than her homemade. You get what you pay for so if you don't appreciate really good Japanese food then don't come here, try the cheap sushi at the Mandarin instead.

We made reservations for this restaurant because we heard great things about the food and owners. After traveling hours from Toronto, we got stuck in traffic and we called the restaurant to see if they can push back our reservation to 845/9 pm. The gentleman on the phone (which was the owner) assured us that there is no problem. We arrived at 9 pm and the doors were closed even though their hours of operation stated that they're open till 930 pm. Eventually the owner came and opened the door for us and told us that they closed their kitchen early...even though we had called them and told them we will be coming by 9 pm. It was very unprofessional and not expected from a restaurant with such great reviews. Owners should take more pride and responsibility in their job.

Fantastic! Excellent freshness, display and taste. A bit expensive but you pay for quality. I ordered ( for myself) the Gan roll, St. Laurence roll, crispy cream cheese roll, Salmon and tuna sashimi and sea weed salad. It was all wonderful. Pick up only during covid times, which is preferred anyways. Kinda wish there was more pickled ginger ( love that stuff). Will definitely be returning.

Delicious, very flavourful Sushi ????. The Nigiri is Yellow Tail - was excellent and clearly fresh. Shrimp Tempura was nice and tender. Was ready exactly when they said it would be. 100% would recommend.

On our visit at Gananoque (Ontario) we were lucky to discover Sushi San . Absolutely great food and very friendly owner. Compared to the many Japanese restaurants in our hometown Düsseldorf this place is outstanding. Don't miss the perfect tempura if you can eat there.

Sushi is my favorite food, and this is among the best sushi I've had anywhere. Super fresh, authentic and made with care by the owner Han (who was herself a lovely host.) We were the only two people in the restaurant when we came, but don't let that deter you - I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through Quanonoque!

This place was amazing! The food was great and so was the tea. It opens at 4:00 pm so a perfect place to get dinner. After the meal they serve you to dessert which are rice cakes covered in cinnamon with whip cream which is surprisingly delicious.

The eel rice was unexpected. The eel was extra large and the rice was very fragrant. Later, two bowls of sushi rice were added to finish the eel. Slightly more expensive but good value for money. By the way, the boss should be a Japanese couple, very kind. Sushi Sun has the best Sushi around, i can honestly say I have never had better. I am new to the area and i am a sushi lover and eat it religously, i had ordered the two crispy rolls (Cream Cheese, and St Lawrence) and two spicy rolls (Gananoque Roll and St Lawrence). I ordered based off of my coworkers high recommendations and i will always go back here from now on. I am usually skeptical when i read reviews of "Best Sushi in Town" but believe me, you wont find any better than this! I will be your #1 customer. Not to mention the friendly staff and their welcoming service. Thanks you guys!

Such a quaint restaurant run by a husband and wife team with no extra support staff. The mixed tempura (shrimp and veggies) was by far the best we've ever had! The nigiri salmon sushi was fresh and delicious, and when I ordered a second round they gave me a sample of the tuna. The customer service was top notch although we were the only two people in the restaurant at that time. It is open from 5 - 930 pm each night and we called earlier in the day to make a reservation via voicemail. Sushi Sun is high quality sushi, amazing service, a smaller menu but has everything you're looking for if you opt for crispy rolls, spicy, or more traditional. Definitely a must try!

We are not sushi experts and were a little anxious when we decided to try this out. The restaurant was very cozy and tastefully decorated. Our host was very gracious and answered all of our questions. We had tuna nigiri and lightly fried soft shell crab rolls. Very well presented. We loved it, look forward to returning soon.

We used to eat at Sushi Sun when it was located in Manotick. It was rated the best Sushi in Ottawa and it was! We were so disappointed when they closed, but thankfully they opened again in Gananoque. Well worth the 1 hour drive there and back to eat their sushi and other offerings! Their sushi is by far the best we have ever eaten! The Sunomono Salad is so refreshing, we order this every time. The Twist Shrimp Tempura is absolutely delicious, a little spicey but it's so worth it! We had both the Spider Roll and the Lobster Roll, but were outstanding as usual. We also had the Japanese soft drink Ramune. Tasted like Cream Soda. Believe me when I tell you that you will probably never have Sushi as good as this restaurant makes. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. The wife is the chef and the husband is the waiter. Extremely polite and pleasant. The restaurant itself is extremely clean and neat in appearance. Please go and enjoy the food they have to offer, you will not be disappointed!

This is the freshest, best sushi in the Thousand Islands, if not all eastern Ontario. Named in 2011 as one of the best restaurants in Canada on CTV, it certainly lived up to and exceeded expectations. The tempura was so light it melted in your mouth and the sashimi wasequally divine and mouth watering. I have become a regular.
