Decided to try lunch here for the first time. I ordered and payed for lunch and sat down. After 1/2 hour or so, when all other customers had been served and most had finished eating, I went back to the counter to see if they had misplaced my order. I was queried - did I really order food, perhaps I had already eaten it, .... I left without lunch. I assume that all this was and accident and hope that it happens only rarely, but you will understand if I never return. All things taken into account it was an overpriced experience.

Please have your staff wear hairnets. While eating in your establishment I saw what I thought was the end of a beard in an order of clams. I pulled it and it kept coming and coming. I went to the counter and showed the girl she said oh no, grabbed the plate took it to the kitchen and threw some fries on it. It didn't matter my appetite was ruined. My own fault I should have demanded a refund instead I left with a bad taste in my mouth.

I stoped in for lunch and ordered the large fish and chips wich was well worth the 14 dollars I payed. Portions are generously giving and are served very fresh. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Staff are very friendly. If you are looking for a nice place to have lunch then i would suggest this resturant as when i went in today it was not to crowded.

My husband and I were there yesterday and each had the seafood chowder. Ir was mostly liquid. I found 2 pieces of fish and 1 tiny shrimp. Very little seafood. Also not a good size for the price. Probably the worst i have ever had. We are both from NB and we know our seafood! Will not return.

William’s Seafood has the best fish burger! Two pieces of fish inside that bun with cheese, coleslaw,tartar sauce,mmmm. Crispy golden batter and flakey white fish, it is delicious and filling. Friday’s special is the fish burger platter which comes with crispy golden French fries and a side of coleslaw.

I have been customer here for over 20 years. I have found that the service there has gone down hill over 100%. I call in and pick up every week and certain employees will take my order and get it ready for when I get there because I come down from the top of smythe street which is 3 minutes away. today I was at my wit's end. I called, the girl gave me attitude when I asked her if she could have my food ready when I got there. I get there and there's a huge line which I could have avoided if they would have put food together when I asked. I had just wait there for over 10 minutes. The question I had for Williams is what is the definition of a pickup order why would I call it in and you not get it ready if I wanted it there and ready when I got there? I have had many friends work there and quit because of the way they were treated and it shows in the employees. I will end saying this when I did get my food today the girl shoved it in my hand and rolled her eyes when I sat there waiting patiently and even gave my seat to an elderly lady who is waiting for her food. 20 years.... and so disappointed. I will give them this though they have the best seafood in town. I've never been disappointed with that

While the fish and chips could have both been crispier, they still had that classic flavour and style you would expect from a traditional fish n chips house. The panko crusted shrimp were my favourite though. Very crispy and the shrimp was so flavourful that I didn't use much of the seafood sauce. The haddock was also cooked perfectly and would flake away as the fork plunged through the batter. I'd like to try more of there offerings, so I'll probably be back soon.

This place is good. Food tastes good, however it’s extremely over priced! I ordered a seafood chowder which was $8.99, and no lie, it’s like 8 spoon fulls!!! I also ordered the 2 piece chicken platter, and the chicken strips are like an inch wide by 2 inches long (waaaaaay smaller than the fish pieces you get here)... This place I only would recommend if you wanna spend a lot! Pic below is the size of the seafood chowder

I have to say it had been a few months since I ate at William' Seafood Restaurant. The last two times I was there I wasn't pleased with my meal at all and had given up on this place. I decided to give it one more try because a friend wanted to go, and boy, am I glad I went. I had the best fish and chips that I have ever had anywhere. I can't say enough about how good it was. I don't know what you are doing different now, but please keep it up because I can't wait to go back again. This restaurant is always nice and clean and the service is great, now they have great food to go with that. Good job William's! I will be back again very soon.

During a recent visit, I was totally impressed with their cleanliness, especially during this time with Covid and all. Everything wiped down and sanitized after use. The quality of the food is very good. Some items are a bit pricey for the quantity (lobster roll / clams) while other menu items are very reasonable. Great atmosphere.

This used to be a very good restaurant. The food is always delicious. However, recently their plates and presentation are super sloppy. Prices are unreasonably high. Their platters are small lunch plates (platters should be sufficient for two people, theirs’ were not even for one person).

First timers to this lovely restaurant and it will not be our last. I got their "small" order of fish and chips. The 2 slabs of fish combined with their crispy fries were more than enough for my dinner. I also received their root beer float, for a combined drink and desert. Delicious. Being early Aug. 2022 and COVID guidelines are still being followed. Wife and I decided to eat our dinner in the car so that we could be with our two dogs. Enjoyable ending out for our third night's dining in this wonderful city of Fredericton, New Brunswick.????

Chips are properly cooked and served with malt vinegar option. Fish is a haddock with homemade batter, deep fried to perfection, fresh/clean oils, fish portions are a bit on the small size but excellent quality. The medium seafood platter is amazing, clams are fresh, scallops are sweet, again with the same amazing batter and deep frying.

Delicious, unpretentious seafood. Had the fish burger special. It was done perfectly. Probably the best fried fish I’ve had, and I lived in Britain for two years. Tasty chips, coleslaw and cookie as well. Friendly service - I think I got asked how it was about three times, so they care that you like it! Prices are reasonable as well. Will definitely be back.

Our first time trying Williams Seafood was an excellent experience. We ordered the family of four deal for $39.99 It was awesome value and tasty food. Hot and crispy. No salt on the fries thought, but that's an easy fix as they gave us a huge bag of condiments. Lots of fish, chips, gravy, cole slaw, cookies and a 2L pop. The friendly staff offered to bring our take-out order to our vehicle when it was ready. Took about 5 or so minutes to arrive. Will definitely be back again for more.

Awful. My partner and I purchased a medium size Seafood Platter as the Saturday special. Chips were dead, haddock was two tiny pieces smothered in a thick and greasy batter to disguise how little fish was actually there. The shrimp and scallops were just flavourless and it cost us $30 for an incredibly small amount of food! Our first and last go at Williams.

I can’t even give enough stars to this place. Amazing food, good prices, and incredible staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in town for fish and chips, not with the quality here. Poutine is made with actual cheese curds, and the gravy is delicious. Make sure you’re hungry when you go because the portions are great! I almost never finish the pile of fries!

Mediocre at best. Tartar sauce comes in little institutional packets. Fish is bland, slightly overdone, fries are genetic. You could probably make a better meal from frozen at home.

It is a friendly atmosphere, comfortable, and a great place to enjoy with friends or family...all the times I have been there the food (especially the fish) is amazing ..also for the little ones there is even a treasure chest filled with treasure for them to explore. There is one down fall to this location though and has nothing to do with service, the seating is not ment for the larger majority, I am of larger size and because the benches do not move away from the tables you can not adjust for different sizes. They were about hard to get in and out of and to have breathing room

Recent visit was very disappointing. The "whole clams" were really clam strips, and very of them, and batter. The fries were cooked in old grease. The duty manager's response was indifference. Unsatisfactory. Been a customer for 30 years. Won't be rushing back.

Wife had medium clams and fries and I had the large. I received more fries but less clams then her. You do not pay 5 dollars more for a large size meal for more fries. Clams were tasty and good fries. Not a good value though.

Place is good if you're looking for deep fried fast food type seafood. -1 star cause they forgot my coleslaw. Had the seafood platter, the fish and scallops were good and had a decent amount of fries. Clams were ok.

Good fish and chips..The fish is done in a traditional batter on the premises,it is fresh not frozen. The fries are tasty but too many for one person. My wife and I get a two piece fish and chips with an extra fish and share the fries.

Had a very good meal there. But still your typical maritime deep fried seafood restaurant that's why the 4 stars. But compared to most other seafood restaurants of it's calibre it would be a five compared to those restaurants.

My grandmother used to take me here 30 years ago, and they still have the best fish and chip in town! Plus scallops and whole clams and more. Delicious everytime!

The fries weren't good and there was a lot of them. The batter had a weird sour taste to it. It was acceptably clean for how busy it was. The service was quick and relatively friendly though.
