We went today. It's the second time we've gone and I don't think we'll be back. It's an OK place, seems to be clean and in good repair. It took 40 minutes to get our food after we waited 20 for a waitress, and drinks. The waitresses were polite and friendly enough when we actually saw them. There seemed to be a little group of three or so employees having a social at the end of the bar, not looking around or monitoring their customers. We ordered the cheese garlic bread. Don't do it! It's just a little loaf of bread with cheese melted on it, most of that cheese is stuck to the stone dish it comes on. I asked for extra pickle, didn't get it, had to ask 3 different people for ketchup. No coleslaw with the fish, and no marinara sauce for mozzarella sticks. I've never even heard of people using ranch for a mozzarella dip, dairy overload. Gross.We were going to have dessert but we couldn't get anyone's attention and no one came to ask, so we asked a little girl at the front who was staring off into space if we could have the bill. Service is nonexistent. They seem to need a manager, or one that knows what they're doing.

Made a reservation for 5 ppl but no table - ended up eating in the bar area - I certainly was not impressed to pay over $200 to take family for dinner to have the waitress ignore me and fawn over my man. Good thing my mother was there or the fur would have flown. Especially with how messed up our plates were - we were switching food items across 5 plates to correct everything. Okay food (except corn is disgusting - must be dipped in some oil concoction), terrible service - we haven't returned since my dinner-out disaster last December. Mom wasn't pleased. In-laws thought the whole evening was a joke. We all left shaking our heads.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, even more so waiting for the welland location to open so, we went to the one in fort erie. Service was good, waitress was comical with my son. We all enjoyed our meal. We had deep fried pickles that were tasty. Steak was cooked to perfection, burger was good and so were the ribs and chicken wings. Only complaint really were fries could have been cooked a tad longer. Otherwise will definitely be back!

There were 4 of us in our party and 3 of us had the Wednesday rib special. The other guest had roast beef. The food was terrific and the prices even with the 3% charge were reasonable. Server was a bit uneducated as to the menu and kitchen practices but was super pleasant. The mens bathroom was disgusting. Urine all over the stall walls and floor. Wasn't just from a single person and had accumulated over hours. Will definately be back for the food but the management might want to consider checking the bathrooms a bit more frequently.

The food isn't anything special, you get what you get with Chuck's but the service here went above and beyond and for that I'm grateful. I put in a take out order and got a call back that something went wrong. They fixed the problem with smiles and understanding which is exactly what my famished family needed. i live not far from the resturant, figured heck lets give it a try , never again .. steak was all grissle , waitress/bartender wasn't friendly at all .never asked if we wanted more to drink, she was more interested in chatting at the bar to a girlfrend of her's at the end of the bar then anything else . my girlfriend had a wrap , she just looked at me with a face of disgust and just pulled the meat out .. sad really ,, small town only cple really good places to eat and this certainly is not one of them

My friend ordered a medium well steak and it came back rare, she asked it be sent back and cooked a little longer and came back still rare with cold side dishes. My food wasn't any better. Went there the other day on the patio shortly after the new opening of the COVID-19 restrictions. Was throughly disappointed. We even called before and tried to order, and were told that a bunch of things on their TAKEOUT menu weren't for takeout. It is also clearly understaffed. This point is much more important. They have one worker who must clean bathrooms on the hour, wipe down every table after customers and before, watch the door for people waiting to be seated, bring out the food, wash and bring in all the dishes, wait on the tables, and who knows what else. I seriously feel bad for this presumably minimum wage worker. They seriously need someone else present so they can divide these tasks. While I was there a fight broke out in the patio while the worker was doing something in the back, and the customers had to deal with everything that was happening on the patio between the two groups of customers. It wasn't until a customer went into the back to find the employee that he came out. At this point one customer was threatening to swing a glass beer pitcher and I quote, "crack [another customers] skull open". This is clear reason to have more than one person in my opinion. Say this fight actually escalated to the point where he did in fact hit the person, that could have resulted in serious brain injury or bodily harm. And if it wasn't for the customers taking action to deescalate the situation it would have broken into actual fighting. Just this situation alone is an indicator that this poor employee working by themselves needs someone else there helping them out. Hopefully someone sees this, like an owner or something and actually takes action to support their staff like they should be doing already.

I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwhich which consisted of a long submarine type bun with 2 chicken fingers on it. Basically one chicken finger per half. The bun wasn't toasted or warm. It was all bun with a slice of tomato, some lettuce and a chicken finger. I told the manager that for $10 this is not a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was a chicken finger on some bread. She indictated there have been some issues with this meal and they are in the process of changing it. I was told I would receive a 50% discount on my meal . After we finished eating, a dessert was delivered to our table which the waitress said was complimentary. While thoughtful, I can't eat ice cream so it was a somewhat futile effort and to add insult to injury, I was charged for this dessert I didn't ask for. Until Chucks smarten up, they have lost a fairly regular customer. Very unimpressed since they changed owners. Won't be going back. Don't recommend it at all.

Adding to my review under James Riley, I asked for my steak to be well cooked and it was more medium rare and my boyfriend asked for his medium rare and it was more rare. We were in a rush to make it to bingo and didn't have time to wait for new steaks, and they didn't taste bad. So we just didn't say anything.

The service was absolutely incredible! Our app came out in just a few minutes and our entrees were shortly behind. Our server was ON THE BALL with drinks and making sure we were happy. The staff were all so kind to our son as well. The first time I ate here about 4 years ago I was honestly disappointed but after tonight I'm truly excited excited come back again soon. We had the spinach artichoke dip, surf and turf meal and buffalo chicken fingers- highly recommend!!

Three times I have here and each time I order a steak medium well I each time it has been raw to rare very rare, they have asked is my steak okay I said no but I'll eat it. I don't believe the people cooking the meat have any idea what they're doing it's not a case of being close, obviously in each case the state has been well seared in a very hot pan and that is the problem all they look at is the outside of the state, I will not be back again, three times is my limit. I was very glad to hear Chuck's was opening in St Catharines because I do go to the one in fort Erie and I've never had a problem

Slow service, sub par food, not clean (restaurant or bathroom)... An extra tax called "Honest to goodness fee" which is 3% added to your bill. I questioned this and was told they charge this so they can keep the food prices down. Ummmm, really? That is not cool 'Chuck'! In fact that is rather disgusting and sneaky... We will not dine at any Chuck's again... we dine out frequently and have not been this disappointed in a very long time.

Last night, myself and a group of five others went to the fort Erie location, at 545pm... The host was nowhere to be found initially (and through the entire time we were there he wasn't often at his post when people came in), so basically we waved at someone to ask if we could seat ourselves by the window at the front. No problem, it was busy. Our drinks were ordered and soft drinks brought out. But my brother in law ordered a beer... And fifteen mins later after our soft drinks came out, still nothing. He went up to the bar (right by our table) and the bartender had no record of it.. so they got him his beer. We ordered appetizers and food .. the salted garlic bread has changed again to just a few chunks of bread with garlic on it vs the little loaf pieces as previous... And my sister's mozzarella sticks never came. We asked about them twice and were told "they'll be right out". Between us we ordered quesadillas, burgers, a grilled cheese for the kid, and a chicken salad (which was a piece of grilled chicken, and a bowl of salad????). Our entrees took over an HOUR to get to us. And the quesadillas were dry, hardly any filling, and almost no buffalo sauce. I have been to this location dozens of times, and the service is always spotty, sometimes slower than others, but this was ridiculous, and I'll just go to the one in the Falls if I bother again.

And need to be retrained on how not to run your fingers thru your hair and pick your ear before handling my cocktails!!! Live within walking distance and wont be back.

Started out being seated in a nice small area, our server was terrible only visited our table once minus bringing the check and our food. our food came out a stunning record 45 minuites after being ordered. My chicken sandwich was maybe a 5inch hard bun with a single chicken finger on it tossed in hot sauced with a slice of mozzarella on it. my girlfriend was brought a meal which looked like it was off the kids menu. it was a chicken wrap no bigger than an iPhone. food was terrible not worth the $30 paid for both. serve was even worse.

Chuck's is a disappointment. It is notorious for the delay in receiving drinks, the food is nothing special, and trying to get your cheque can be like trying to elect Bernie Sanders. Fortunately, their prices are quite low, so you aren't feeling COMPLETELY ripped off. The worst part is the band that plays in the evening. Who the hell actually wants a band to play at a bar like this? Whenever I go with friends to watch the NBA playoffs it's a trainwreck in slow motion. We can't hear the game, each other or ourselves. No one else in the bar seems glad the band arrived except for the two people sitting up front that clap after every song. Also: every song has to be a country-rock version of 80s hits but with a low-effort southern hick accent on the vocals. It's terrible and makes my ears cry. This place has four large flat screens that are constantly playing sports networks, so one would think that this is a sports bar and grill. Unfortunately Chuck sees himself as a country-listening wannabe cowboy so good luck catching any sport finals here. Instead, enjoy an amateur band playing their loud music twenty feet from your face. This place has low-priced wings and burgers, but I would go to any of the other six bars in Fort Erie if you want good food.

My wife had the burger it was ok. I had the Montreal smoked meat sandwich. I was surprised it was not toasted till I discovered the the toasted side was on the inside of the sandwich. It was very dry and I did not finish it. I upgraded to onion rings which were few and mushy. As always the soda drinks always taste off but that's been a problem at most restaurants. The only good thing about the place is the price. also the motorcycle at the door looks like it was rode the same day and parked there. its covered in dirt and grease. if anybody reads this at chucks I would be happy to come back and clean it for free.

Dine in, DON'T take out! One good experience dining in and two bad ones for take out. The good: Food is cheaper than most places and is pretty tasty Two bad experiences: Had ordered a meal and came 5 min after it was supposed to be ready. They said it was gonna come out soon. We waited 30 to 40 minutes so clearly they didn't make it. All they had to do was be honest or throw something extra in for the inconvenience. They completely ignored the situation or sincerely apologize for the situation. I ordered two items. Food was disappointing. Bone-in ribeye was ordered med rare, but half was uncooked and inedibly tough. Salad was depicted as spring mix, and waiter was asked beforehand if that's what it was. It turned out to be just iceberg lettuce with one small piece of kale and a few tomato slices. I don't like to give bad reviews, but I have to be honest. I would never recommend the place and I would never go back.

Last few times we have gone the service has been so slow. Tonight we waited 15mins for our drinks alone.. food came out relatively fast but our waitress kept going MIA. Pretty sure one of the cooks brought our food out for us. I ordered the Roast Beef meal and my beef was so tough I couldn't even eat it and the potatoes tasted like boxed potatoes. When our waitress finally came back out we asked for waters and again.. took forever. Then we asked for the bill and after 15 mins she came back over with the bill and as we were trying to pay with the machine she said she'd be right back.. and never came back so we finished paying and left. (I should also add it was not that busy in there.) Was not a good experience at all and probably won't be going back anytime soon.

The only pro I have is that the food is pretty good (ribs and wings combo was my order), but I couldn't enjoy my time there, since there are so many flies where we were sitting, plus there's no air conditioning, so I was sweating in there, and no curtains to block the sun from hitting us. So pretty much, the food was good, but those three things I mentioned, killed the enjoyment, and left me and the group disgusted.

Honestly, I don't know why I keep trying to like this place. They seemed very understaffed the last time I went.... The waitress was extremely rude, and not at all helpful. It always takes a while for food to come out, and when I there with a large party around Christmas time last year, there were too many mess-ups to count, including promising our group a certain table, and then changing the table without our knowledge. Food was wrong, late etc. ...... Too many mistakes to count on two hands. Their saving grace is their prices, which are very reasonable for an actual sit down restaurant. Just don't go there in a hurry....

October 14 - today is Thanksgiving day. I get it, the staff don't want to be at work today but that's no excuse to provide subpar service. We ordered a loaded garlic bread to appetize... It was loaded with disappointment. Tiny, hardly any cheese and basically cremated. Asked for gravy for fries - pretty sure it came out of a can. It was like water. Awful. Ordered the big Chuck burger. Double patties, yes. Double cheese, yes. Double bacon, nope. OH WAIT! It did have two tiny slice of cold bacon on it. I guess that qualifies as double bacon. Sister in law ordered a salad as a side, it showed up as a huge bowl. Side of fries arrived with her burger. I get it, the staff don't want to work on a holiday. But this meal was a culinary genocide. As a chef, I'd be embarrassed to send that food we received off the line.

Had takeout tonight from the Fort Erie location. Very good experience. Steak doesn't lend itself well to takeout because it doesn't stay hot for long but ours was fine. Only reason it's 4, and not 5 stars, is because steaks were a tad overdone and the corn on the cob wasn't great. Overall, really good value for the dollar though.

We went there for Father's Day this past weekend. Due to covid it was all outdoor eating. We ordered our food to go. It was dead outside, only 3 tables being served when we got there. We placed our order (cheeseburger and fries and nachos) we asked that there be no garnish on the burger and we were told that mustard and relish would be on the side to put on ourselves. Perfect! We were told the food would be ready in 20 minutes. We came back to pick it up and waited over 45 minutes for the food. When we stopped to eat there was no condiments for the burger except ketsup and the nachos were ice cold, the cheese wasnt even melted. We will never go back to this location. Very disappointed!!

My husband and I ate at your place and had the worst experience. We ordered the lobster dinner and the lobsters were tough the fries cold. Corn soggy and cold the butter for dipping was not butter but water and lemon. We did not send it back tried to eat it. We told our waitress it was awful we tried to speak to the manager but she came out very defensive and she did everything but called liars when we complained. She would not listen to anything we had to say. We paid over $58.00 for horrible meal. We will never go back there and I would tell anyone else not to go.

DISAPPOINTING. We were a party of 6, we were told could have salad instead of fries , no mention was made of the extra charge. One if us took salad and asked if could have fries anyway, the waitress charged extra for salad upgrade instead of fries then charged additional for fries! The parties that had the roast beef were very pleased. The ribs also, however the mushroom melt burger was badly charred, the cheese hard and never melted, and my expectations had anticipated more mushrooms. Don't anticipate returning.

We JUST got home from Chuck's Roadhouse in Fort Erie, ON on Garrison road where we have been a few times in the past. The very first time we went there our server, food and overall experience was GREAT. Since then, we have encountered a lot of inconsistencies with the food and service. Tonight while our steak (ordered medium rare and received a bit on the rarer side) was very good, all of our fries were cold and dry (even our 10 and 5 year old boys didn't want their fries. Not even with ketchup/vinegar) the sides of corn on the cob were not grilled, but cold and squishy/soggy. My husband ordered the steak and lobster tail, and the lobster was puny and overcooked/rubbery). While our server was friendly, she didn't properly introduce herself or tell us her name, was dressed quite frumpy and her hair looked as if it hadn't been brushed in a couple days. We saw her a total of 4 times throughout our meal and had to flag her down 3 of those times. We had to ask for side plates, napkins, utensils and condiments as our meals were later brought to us by another staff member and we had nothing to eat them with. My husband's beer was cold, but flat as well, and his 2nd out of 2 glasses we had to ask the staff member who brought us our cutlery and plates etc for because our server was nowhere in sight and had forgotten about it. The past few times we were at any Chuck's location it was the location in Niagara Falls, ON where the food, service and experiences have been great every time. We went to the Niagara Falls location earlier tonight, but decided to go to the Fort Erie location because being a Friday night the Niagara Falls location was packed and would have had at least a 30 minute wait. We should have just waited the 30 minutes. We will NOT be dining at Chuck's in Fort Erie again.

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS RESTAURANT !!!! My Boyfriend and I went here last Saturday evening to have dinner, we were celebrating our anniversary. WE GOT FOOD POISONING!!!!! It's the only place we ate, the only thing we consumed that our child didn't. He did not get sick.... And nobody in our lives has been sick either. I spent a day in the hospital, and it was confirmed that we had food poisoning. I called to make a complaint and notify them that they gave us food poisoning so that this won't happen to anyone else. The girl who answered the phone was polite and apologetic. She said she was passing me to the manager. The manager came to the phone and he didn't handle the situation right at all. He was rude to me and said ...I'm sorry, that happened to you, but there's nothing I can do for you. He told me I shouldn't be calling the restaurant... If I had a problem I should call the health and safety board... Never once did I ask him for anything... I definitely don't want to eat there again. I wasn't asking to eat there again for free.... He treated me like the only reason I was complaining was to get something out of it... I wanted to notify them of the situation and maybe they should take a look at safer food handling. But if you had good customer service you should voluntarily reimburse the customer for the meal... You handled it terribly. I will never eat here's again, and nobody else should either.. The waitress ruined the experience for us completely. I do not know if this location is understaffed or if they just do not care enough but we waited extremely long for each process of the restaurant experience (Ordering food, waiting on food, waiting for assistance, and waiting for the bill) I can see other tables around me thinking the exact same thing. Not only that but no apologies for the wait or messing up our order (coke was flat and no guacamole with our nachos) Just wish they can improve since we live so close.

Good place to stop in for cheap beer and pitchers! The food is decent and wings are ok....i didnt like the fact that they were breaded and tasted like they are oven baked not deep fried! Also i like hot wings and the "hot" wings there are more like medium because the sauce taste abit sweet so i wasnt a big fan.Although the cheap beer made them go down that much easier. The waitress also didnt give us a bowl for our bones or even napkins to clean our hands and i even asked her specifically for "saucy wings"......I still gave her a 15% tip because im a nice guy! Very yum yum, I fell in the kitchen, and the washrooms had a feel of death, pickles were very uncomfortable, the food was okay o guess, it was a great place for my 134 month old sons birthday party. I feel I’d love to move it to the back room and live out the rest of my days there. Water was the best part and have never had water until then and I was sooo pleased. Went to road house tonight to celebrate my cousins birthday. We had a party of 18 and the place was pretty busy. When arrived we didn’t have any menus and had to ask, then when asked what we wanted to eat we felt rushed. Myself am allergic to corn and gluten and told the waitress that I ordered a 10oz steak with no seasoning or anything with French fries and when my plate came out I had cob corn on my plate. The waitresses need to be aware that something can seriously happen to someone with an allergy. I did not eat the corn and did not send my plate back because I felt rushed. But was bothered by the fact that I did tell her and I received corn on my plate.

Recent experience was horrible, the server was absolutely miserable. She asked our kids what they wanted and rushed them and just rude. All the stakes we ordered were wrong, medium well and medium stakes came out rare and medium rare to the wrong people. Sisters pregnant so a medium rare isn’t good for her. By the time it came back out it everyone else was already done and she left only eating fries. My wings were cold in the middle and seemed a little pink inside. Asked for gravy on the side, glad I didn’t get it, because my food was already gone and still didn’t receive it. Been to multipule Chuck Roadhouse and this is the worst experience we have ever had. If I could give you a 0 I would.

Drinks were warm and did not have some selections available. Whether you go on a weekend or middle of week when hardly any patrons it still takes forever to get your meal. Highly disappointed! !

Loved the service and reasonable prices. The 3% everyone seems to have issue with is clearly explained on the menu. It added a total of 1.03 to my bill. That was with the surf and turf, a sandwich and drinks. Not an issue as I was able to read and do math. Overall a very good experience.

Tonight was very disappointing It took awhile to get service, not busy. Then we got our beer...1 bottle and a pitcher of beer both were luke warm. Horrible Asked for chilled glasses it took another 15 minutes. Had to ask the bartender to get our waitress. We all had steak with fries and corn. Fries were cold and soft...corn is just horrible! Not happy

Food was really mediocre compared to the other Chuck's locations and the service was not good. Was told to sit wherever we wanted. Passed over a dirty table and received a snarky comment from one of the waitresses because we didn't sit in her section. Just overall doesn't meet the expectations that the other locations set.

Very poor customer service! We were waiting to be seated , the server came told us to stand behind the gate in such rude tone, she almost pushed us backwards! ( no respect for personal distance) and told us “you should be standing behind the gate as the sign already says” in a sarcastic and harsh tone. We just left after that encounter!

Just paid nearly 28 bucks for two orders of fish and chips,was very disappointed. The (small) amount of fries were cold and floppy and the fish was way over cooked but also cold. Was really hoping my money was going towards i higher quality hot meal. Although i must say the staff was very friendly, but i don't think that will be enough for me to justify a return visit.Sorry.

Had to wait outside for almost 10 mins before we got seated. The food was the worst I have had at any other location. The ribs were dry, the wings fell apart leaving shards of bone in my mouth. The fries were either freezer burnt or they took it off someone else's plate and cooked them again. Will never be back again or recommend anyone to go there.

Steaks are great, done to perfection. The staff is cheerful and friendly. You couldn't ask for anything more. Overcooked my steak one night and took my beer off my bill. The place is exceptional. Where else can you get a bottle of heinekin for $4.50? This is just what Fort Erie needed.

So, being from a long history in the restaurant industry I'm a bit critical and sometimes harsh, but having said that I always give a restaurant 3 strikes. So Chuck's had 1strike on my first visit, not going to say what I had, no need to taint people, but honestly it wasn't good. So 2nd try and WOW, out of the park. Had just a reg prime rib burger w/fries and a side C salad. Salad was goodly above average and crisp but the burger was EXCELLENT. Charcoal tasty, not over cooked but not under, juicy just awesome, and great fries. My server Jonie ( she's gonna hate me cause I really forgot by time I got to this point ) she was fantastic, even though she couldn't talk much lol. Great experience, strike 1 is erased.

I am shocked, awful experience me and my family just ate here. We ordered takeout and once we got home we were so disappointed by what we saw. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and when we opened it, there was only about a table spoon of dip. A 10 OZ steak cooked to well done when we asked for it medium rare. Our grilled chicken sandwitch, the chicken was burnt. Very disappointing meal. Left us saying probably wont be back!!!

Half hour wait to get table, 15 minutes to get waitress, order taken, waited hour and ten minutes for four small meals which were burnt burgers and cold dried out fries. Ordered a Caesar salad to start which I never received. My first and last time at this place.

I had my main course brought to the table before appetizer, they took main dishes away and got is our appetizer. When the main dishes returned they were not fresh and there was a dust bunny on my fries. I was offered new fries but declined. I won't be returning as I didn't feel they cared. Very poor first impression.

On Sunday, our dear friends treated us to dinner at Chuck's in Fort Erie.. We had a great time. It was very busy so patience was called for but it was worth it. My wife ordered the New York steak that was served with fries and a side of baked beans. Excellent!! My wife says it was the best steak she has ever had.. My ribs were excellent and the side of baked beans tasted like more. Our friends' wife ordered the salmon and it was great.. Our server was always on the run but he got the job done. A great place to visit. We'll be making the trip back to Fort Erie just to visit Chuck's Roadhouse again.

We had been there before only for a beer, so thought we would try it for supper. The service was terrible. I dont think anyone over the age of 25 was working. There was no professionalism or attentiveness to the customer. Our drinks were warm and our server never came back to offer us another one until she was flagged down and then only served one out of our table of 4. The food took an hour to come out and was just ok. I wpuld have done better to go to a fast food place. The table beside us had their orders all messed up...terrible and wont be back

We love chucks we orginally went to the one in the falls but it was a 40 minute wait for a table which was understandable on a Saturday night so we left and went to the one in fort Erie which is about 20 minutes away Got there they were about 30 percent full so we got a table right and we walked in We had a great server but the food came burnt we sent it back to receive what you would think was the same food it was burnt again I've been to this chucks before and it was nothing like this so I know it's not the restaurant it's the cook That's why I am giving it a 3 star I like the food the atmosphere the price but it just depends on the cook you get when you are there

We ordered a burger meal and fish and chips tonight. A half hour in we were told our food would be out shortly. We saw another table that sat after us get served. After another 15 min the waitress passed by us and we mentioned the wait was unacceptable and although she apologized, she just asked if we would like to cancel. She then mentioned there was a party upstairs that slowed the kitchen down. A little bit of communication earlier would have been nice. We went home hungry.
