Staying nearby, popped in for a quick meal. Locals were playing crib and very friendly, food was very reasonably priced and pretty good.

Looks like a hole in the wall from outside but better inside. Not a lot of healthy options but good prices. My husband and I split one order of Cod bites and fries and it was more than enough for both of us. We were both stuffed, and at $10.75, that's a good meal. We also played pool in the lounge attached, for a dollar a game. Plus - love the restaurant name!

It started off great! My boyfriend and I are on our trip to Newfoundland to visit his family. I’m vegan and I was well aware that find restaurants that’s serve vegans would be hard ... I asked our waitress what vegetarian options they had while I pointed out the pea soup. I asked if it was also dairy free, she went and checked. On the menu it listed the pea soup and underneath it said turkey or beef. Giving me the impression it was pea soup, turkey or beef soup. After I mentioned I was vegetarian she agreed that pea soup would be a good option. Nonetheless after spending 7 years not eating an ounce of meat.. there I was taking my first mouth full thinking the little brown parts were mushrooms. Nope. When I brought this to our waitresses attention she wasn’t apologetic or offered to take it off our bill. When I went to pay for my boyfriend and I’s dinner *I* had to tell the front cash person to take it off. I felt so unwanted and uncomfortable. Still tipped her but I can’t believe the feeling of disrespect when I brought this to her attention.

Best fish and chips I have had in years. Chips with onions and gravy were a revelation for this American. Beautiful view of the harbor. Super nice folks serving. If I lived here it might become my regular place.

A fabulous meal of the freshest, pan fried cod, French fries ( actually old fashioned 'chips' , as I know them????) and fresh, homemade coleslaw. The Cod was delicious, so fresh! Generous servings and very reasonably priced. Homemade Cheesecake, so light, with Bakeapple topping - delicious! Very friendly staff and quick service. I highly recommend 'The Squid Jigger'!

It's a truck stop res trying to be high end they use plastic table.Staff to busey talking serve you a pop in a plastic bottle no glass or ice .It's dark and needs a paint job . Price off food over rated high for what you get no one asked how meal taste . On scale 1to5 (0)

Ate a few places while visiting the southern shore. The Jigger was my very favorite. I had the shrimp and fries and the best gravy... Hubby had the wings dressing and fries and he loved them.. Mother in law had a huge bowl of soup and clubhouse. One of the girls had the cod bits and her plate was full.. wish I had made a second trip so I could try them too.. Waitress was very good and the place was clean
