This place is quite popular, so be there earlier for dinner. We really like the fresh oyster and the fish tacos, however, the pesto risotto that comes with the halibut was too thick and herby to my taste. The local oyster and the fish of chef's select was not available during our visit. Other than that, the atmosphere was great, wine was good, staffs were friendly and helpful. I believed that you will have a good time at the Finn's.

Amazing dinner @ Finns seafood restaurant with my family. Husband and I shared the seafood linguini and prawn tacos. Both are spectacular, great flavours and very fresh. In laws got the fish and chips and they were very happy. For the price you really get good service and great food. I recommend them 100%. I’m very picky with my seafood linguini and this one hit the spot. Also the prawn tacos with the pineapple?! *chef’s kiss*!

Very nice restaurant with beautiful view of the harbour. Staff members were friendly, they all greeted when we came in and thanked when we left. We had the early dinner courses and were delicious. My seafood linguini was a bit salty but I didn’t mind much as I was happy with the amount of seafood on it. Seafood chowder was also very good. Service was good at the beginning but got slow at the end. After finishing the main course, we had to wait for awhile until someone come over to take away the empty dishes and take order for dessert. We asked for boxes for left over food. The waitress brought one when we had 2 different dishes. We had to ask other server for another one. The dish we wanted to wrap up had dipping sauce and they didn’t bring a sauce container. It was just a small things but it made me feel the waitress wasn’t thoughtful at all. After dessert, it took a while for the waitress to bring the bill and then a bit more for the debit machine. I wanted to give 5 stars but I took one off because of the service at the end.

My husband and I stopped at Finn's restaurant for lunch. We were pleasant surprised with the food. Also, the owners have done a great job on the new deck. The views are incredible. We'll definitely go back and try another item on the menu.

Could easily be added to my list of favourite places to eat in Victoria. We tried their recommendations - the pork chop, lobster, fish and chips, and the chowder, we are so glad that we did. I had the pork chop and it was amazing - it was thick, tender and juicy. Loved the gravy that came with it. Everyone else enjoyed their orders as well. I wish they've given us a bigger table though. There were four of us and it felt like they gave us a 2-person table. The dishes could barely fit on the table. We pointed to a bigger table when they seated us but they said it was reserved. Noone came though while we were there. Plus there were lots of empty tables as we came in just about half an hour after they opened. Other than that, we still enjoyed our experience overall and will come back next time we are in town.

Waterfront patio to enjoy food and drinks. We walked through the indoor space to access the patio and it looked quite lovely. The bartender greeted as as the hostess walked us to our table. Service was good and quick. We enjoyed a bottle of Sandhills Pinot Gris, oysters and the crispy chicken sandwich, which all paired well with the wine. Tables were well spaced and the music playlist included The Hip and Smashing Pumpkins. They have happy hour from 4-5:30pm that includes oysters.

Absolutely incredible food! I will be looking forward to the next time I get to enjoy food from Finn’s Seafood. The most recent dining experience I enjoyed a pork chop that had now made every other pork chop a disappointment. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to serve you.

The service was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and extremely kind. The food was great. We ordered the Truffle Fries and the Fresh Oysters for starters. Both we amazing the sauce on the Oysters were perfect. For mains, we ordered the New York Strip, Fish and Chips, and the Seafood Linguine. The New York Strip was cooked to perfection. The red wine sauce on the side was a little sweet but the mashed potatoes and the compound butter were really good. The seafood linguine was the perfect texture and very creamy. The seafood was really good which was topped on top of the pasta. The fish in chips were alright. The fish was a little dry and the fries were pretty good. If the fish had a little extra flavor and be tender it would be amazing.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon Happy Hour. The prices were amazing for happy hour and everything was delicious. I had oysters and the two course dinner happy hr special. We waited about 30 mins at 4pm for a patio table but their were tables inside. The service was also fantastic.

Went their with my family last night. First time out to restaurant after months of restriction. Service were great! We were greeted everywhere upon entering, and leaving the restaurant. Food were amazing! I had Seafood Linguini, my son pan roasted local Rock Fish, my daughter Steak Frites, and my wife West Coast Paella, alone with few appetizers. Only complain is my wife's Paella, the rice was almost considered cold, probably cooked ahead of time, and just lay underneath the seafoods, so she just ate the seafoods, and left the rice alone. Overall a great experience!

Found this restaurant online and decided to check them out because our their reviews. I visited with family this past weekend and had a great experience. Our waitress, Mahri, was super efficient and friendly. Our food runner, Isaiah, was warm and made us all laugh. He described and delivered our meals with flair and flourish. Our meals lived up to the hype and were all delicious. Both staff members were equally professional and personable - making our first visit to Victoria memorable. We will definitely visit again at our next visit.

Yesterday my husband and I visited Finn's for lunch as part of my birthday weekend. Let me start with the good stuff. OMG!!!!!! That Shrimp Taco with pineapple was amazing. Since I've moved to Canada, I very rarely enjoy something that really blows my mind, in most of the "pub like" or "steakhouse" type of places. This was truly amazing flavours put together 10/10. Crab legs to die for! Cooked perfectly :D 10/10 The lobster was a bit over cooked, it's quite an expensive dish to have over cooked. 7/10 Service : 8/10 (could have been 10/10 without the hostess that was on shift) Lastly, I am really not sure how to feel about this. It left a very bad taste. Obviously. A young blonde woman was our hostess, she didn't ask us anything when we said "table for two" walked us straight to the bar lounge part of the restaurant (3pm) and seated us right by the door way on a bar height table which was sooooo tiny, one can barely have a drink on this table. The restaurant's dinner section was EMPTY. The backside sunroom dinner side was also pretty empty, yet she picked this tiny table for us right at the door. We asked our server to move us somewhere with a bigger table. He had to speak with the same hostess again. And she comes back in and says "so you want a dinner table!?" and then leads us to the back sunroom *(we told the server table with view would be great), then seats us in the corner with the smallest f*ing table again. Right next to the server's tableware shelves. There were about 3 other tables (4 seaters but come on the restaurant was empty) and she chooses to place us in this dump of a corner. I didn't want to throw a fuss to someone who already has been asked for a better table once and yet does this. She was just so odd, so impersonal, while walking us to the second table she was on with some fake small talk, and totally disinterested in what we actually said. I don't know what her deal was, but my goodness it felt so f*ing discriminatory. How could we not, we were very casually dressed (since we had been road tripping), hate to bring up the race thing too, but that's the thing, this was so bizarre. At one point we thought she gave us that corner one because the other 2 seater was having a leak from the ceiling but there was a another 4 seater! so!?!? Anyway. The food was great, and our server was so amazing and sweet. The hostess can't take away from that.

The food is definitely 5 stars and so are the staff...even with a small error Bjorn made it right and fun we had the salmon burger and ahi tuna and chicken burger all were cooked to perfection definitely a must visit if in area! Bjorn and his crew deserve all the praise this Foodie can give.

Worth the wait! We shared a delicious ocean wise certified Dungeness crab and enjoyed every bite! We were seated off to the side of the restaurant in a quiet area with a beautiful view of the water. Despite how busy it was, the service was quick and friendly. Overall a fantastic meal!

Great waterfront views. You can tell the food was prepared with care as the presentation is as good as the quality. Portions look small but are very filling. Servers were awesome in also giving us tips on where to find nightlife around town.

We came to Victoria in search of great seafood and we found it! We were able to get in right away, without a reservation and we got a prime spot on the patio. Even though it was a brisk fall evening, it was nice on the patio because there was patio heaters. We had an amazing view of the ocean which only enhanced our experience. The service was wonderful and the food was so yummy. We will definitely come back when we are back in Victoria.

Decent food with a good view of the inner harbor. Seafood is well done, but on the salty side. Risotto is a tiny bit under cooked for my liking but this is particular to me, my wife found it perfectly fine. In the Haida Gwaii seafood bowl, the clam and mussel is fresh, while the prawns and the squid, less so. The vanilla brûlée cheese cake was just sweet enough and not so overpowering that it drowns out the rich creamy taste of the cheese. However, the brûlée bits on top could be bigger to impart a more sophisticated texture to the cheese cake. A solid 4 star for a no fuss, family friendly restaurant with a good seaside view.

Wow.. This will definitely go down as an unforgettable dining experience for me. Every part of our evening was perfect. The location is great to start with but we got the table at the back so we could see all of the harbor, the lights from the Legislative building, the downtown Christmas tree, and more all from our table. Perfect. The service was immaculate. From our greeter to our awesome server, Hunter, every interaction was A1. And then the food. We had the chowder for starters, Rockfish and the Seafood Linguini as the main courses, and the Lemon Tart for dessert. The flavors, textures, and temperatures were exquisite from start to finish. If you go to Finn's, I would recommend going between 4 & 6 pm so you can take advantage of the 2 course dinner deal (which can be expanded to 3 courses for a little extra). It's very great value. This also happens to be happy hour. I would recommend the Finn's Pilsner if you are a beer person. For the wine lovers, you have to try their house white wine blend. It's delicious! Places like Finn's remind me that we can't just order off of Skip the dishes or Doordash and say we're getting the same experience. The food is one part of it but there's so much else to the ultimate restaurant experience. We have to fight hard to keep these places alive especially now and still later. Thank you Finn's. Last night was the first of what will be many visits to your restaurant.

Darn good; on the expensive side. Worth it for the food, location, and service. Food - seafood chowder ($12.75), seafood linguini ($29), lemon tart ($9.75) - high quality, delicious with nice presentation and good serving sizes. I'm not much for seafood but the chowder set me up for a wonderful plate of pasta with mussels, shrimp, and scallops. The lemon tart topped with meringue; a great ending to a good meal. An enjoyable dining experience. Space is casual and unpretentious, staff and service welcoming and convivial. Great location with views of Victoria's Inner Harbour. A extensive drinks menu including cocktails and alcohol-free options.

I had lunch at Finn’s during a recent trip to Victoria. The food was great (we had Mussels and Fish and Chips), the staff are friendly, and the view is beautiful. I wish our trip was longer and I could try their other dishes but that has to wait until next time!

Great option for a dinner in the downtown Victoria. Don’t miss the happy hour at 17:00 to get good beer, skewers and garlic bread. There is a nice option for a dinner menu that includes chowder and linguine. Enjoy.

I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekends, as it can get quite busy. We were seated on the lower patio and it provided a beautiful view for our dinner. Our server, Laura was awesome! She was there when we needed her, but left us alone when she could tell we just wanted to chat. We really enjoyed the food and drinks there. The starter garlic bread was really delicious. We had the salmon burger and fish and chips, which were also very good. Everything came out in a timely manner. Definitely recommend!

The happy hour is from 4 to 5:30 and you can also take advantage to order the early dinner for $30. Food and service is amazing but I will rate it 5 star if that AC is working better near the window seats. We seated by the window and the afternoon sun came directly through the window (the window blind is not helping to block the sunshine at all), and it still feels like 30 degree even sitting indoor.

Highly regarded restaurant in the area. Was tough to get in, took 3 tries on 3 different days. So much character between the inside and incredible outside patio harbour view. Food was good, but for the price, you can do better food-wise in the area. Still highly recommend for the experience. I would give 4 1/3 stars out of 5 if it was an option.

Not the best service, but the food was delicious. --- The owner has responded to this review in a professional, speedy and considerate manner. I have revised the rating to reflect this, and the fact we had a Five Star experience on our previous visits. There was a misunderstanding on what was ordered and the server Melissa made it seem like this was our fault. Some confusion over allergies, but you might question whether the server should realize one of the guests hasn't actually ordered a meal or not. After all the discussion of how the manager was involved, you would have expected the manager to come over and explain, or possibly take an appetizer off the bill. We have been here before, and it was much better. Hope it is just an off day. --- I have amended the review to 4 stars, as the owner responded immediately when I posted this initial review. His reply was quick and satisfied me that Finns is worth another try.

One of the best restaurants in Victoria! We ordered take out for dinner two nights in a row. We ordered the prawn tacos and steamed mussels which were both exceptional. The sweetness of the pineapple in the taco was a perfect balanced with the spiced prawns. The rockfish was also surprisingly good. But the paella was just mediocre as the seafood seemed like it was cooked separately and tasted slightly fishy. In general, customers will not be left disappointed if they had food here. Just some recommendations however due to some miscommunication over the phone: Tell the customer the total price of the items as well as repeating the order before charging their credit card. Server also nearly forgot to get me to sign the receipt when I picked up my order.

The food is very ordinary pub style food. If you are hungry it does the job but it is not exceptionally tasty or something that would take you back to this place. We went there for lunch, but I guess if you visit this place for dinner and want to enjoy drink more than food then you may have a better experience. If you are lucky to get a table beside the window you will enjoy a great view. They get five starts for their service though. I am not sure I would go back to this place if I was in Victoria.

Absolutely incredible dining experience! This restaurant was beautiful with its amazing view of the harbor. All 3 of our kids loved it! 3 course meals for them starting with veggies and ranch dip, the entree, and then cute little ice cream with gummy worms on top. My husband and I had the steam bowls my curry was so flavorful that I was tempted to lickthe bowl. For appetizer I had the fish chowder and it was a nice thick cream sauce with large pieces of salmon and halibut. We did a lot of research and picked this place and I'm very happy that my husband finally decided to come here.
