This place was very cozy inside, we had fireplace seat. The waitress was great the entire visit. Food was served hot and quickly. Prices were on point for the quality of food. I think the greek salad needs improved to more of an authentic one but other then that no issues with the meals.

I've stayed in Elliot Lake maybe 100 days last year and 30 the year before. Fireside is a good restaurant, good staff and decent food. They also have some good beer on tap other than your standard wash water domestic stuff. Beef ribs are excellent.

Once again superb service. Our server was Kathy (again) we just absolutely adore her. She was on the ball. She deserves a huge raise ;) ;) for real hands down best service ever. The food was amazing. Good size portions for a decent price.

I come here often but tonight doesn't even deserve the one star. We made a reservation to celebrate my daughters birthday. We were seated right away and completely ignored by our server. No drinks, nothing. We watched as several other tables arrived after us and got their drinks and ordered their meals. After twenty plus minutes another server finally spoke to our server (Dave) don't know how the rest of the evening will go as I'm still sitting here.

On Dec. 23/18 thirteen members of my family had an early X-mas dinner at Fireside and what a treat it was. Not only was the seating arrangement in a private area, the food was to die for---not one complaint from any of us about the food--the service was excellent and I consider this place a first class establishment.

A place I once thought was strictly for meat eaters gave me a welcome surprise: I was served a vegetarian mushroom raviolis, with a fantastic pesto sauce. :D By the end of the dish, the only thing i wanted, was more. Thursday's wing night has the place hoppin with live music from local artists.???? Maybe we will soon see some vegan wing options added to the menu. ???? Decent food options for the whole family. “FIRE SIDE CLASSIC GRILL” Well, we went there just befor the day of lockdown stay home orders in Ontario. The restaurant was as it was a GOOD FRIDAY. This was our first time and being vegetarian we didn’t know exactly what to order. But we were helped by the person who was assisting us and she gave us some good options. The drinks we ordered were super awesome, I liked mine as I ordered Malibu it was coconut based a bit sweet but too good. Nachos were awesome and so as the the veggie burger but the sautéed veggies were really too bad it was too sweet and we did not eat it at all. Hope to visit again ????

Very nice restaurant, misserable server. But good food. Update: we went back after 3 months, and we had a much better experience, the server that we had was very busy, so we did see other servers take orders from people who arrived after us, however we found that to be acceptable, because once our server was free, she was very quick and able to get our drink orders and food, and it came in under 9 minutes (not that I was timing it lol) but we actually really like the environment at this restaurant, we just happened to go on a very busy night, with a huge table in our section... I highly recomend eating here, great selection, nice sports bar vibe, very cozy, and excellent food, we liked everything that we ordered, and were really picky eaters... thank you FireSide.

The restaurant was nice and clean looking, the waitress was not very knowledgeable on her products ie. Daily specials, The menus were on photocopied paper and reused ( handled) by everyone. ,the hand sanitizer was also empty ,did not like how we had to walk past the people walking in on our way out to crowded, food was hot ,not all that special, should have went back to George's restaurant!!!

We stopped here last night for dinner and were very pleased. Our server John was great! What a sense of humour and very attentive to our needs. Food was great, great atmosphere too, and fair prices! We went there for my husbands birthday on wing night, he had the naked wings with sauce on the side and he said they were very good, I got the crunchy breaded ones and I could not eat them they were way too salty. I think cutting back on the salt these would have been great because the flavor was there.

Great service from friendly staff. Limited draught selection, in definite need of good competition. The menu selections need some work. Looking forward to post-pandemic improvements...All the best! It's always nice when owners respond, so thanks for that. When I said the menu needs work I wasn't suggesting the paper was a bad idea. Its what's on the menu I guess that wasn't very appealing to me. You do have a lot of draughts but not much in the premium category (Heineken, Stella, Guinness) ...anyway, if you're happy, then all is good man. Here's to better days ahead!

Our group enjoyed supper at this establishment this evening. The server was excellent, and the food was exactly what we ordered. It was delivered on time it had a good crowd and we enjoyed what the Manitoulin brewery had to offer. Thank you to the kitchen staff and all those who helped us enjoy our visit.

Well what can I say. The food is mostly frozen and the microwaves are used more than the grill. The kitchen manager uses other people’s ideas, uses them as their own and gives no credit to the real cooks. The owner records audio of his staff with the video and uses that against them. (Illegal without staff knowledge) I will be reporting them to BBB and also with the labour board. This is a warning to anyone who wants to work here. This is a fair warning. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Cozy environment especially in the Winter - we all tend to fight over trying to get the table by the fireplace! Good selection on the menu to cater to most tastes including vegetarians. Service is great and friendly. The washrooms are clean and there is also a Disabled Washroom with a proper raised toilet. Great place to go.

My family and I orderd from fireside for dinner tonight. First time we got delivery from them and I actually stopped eating to type this because um so impressed!!!!! The mushroom caps and dip have to be the best I have ever had. We got a variety of stuff and everything was perfect and delicious. It came hot and packaged very well. Loved visiting Fireside! By far the best spot to eat in Elliot Lake. Great atmosphere, great food.. But the service is what blew me away. John was our server and made us feel right at home. Very fun personality, had us laughing the whole time we were here. 11/10 would return. Highly recommend!!

Ate here twice, the beef stir fry was great. Smaller portion thou. Desert poutine was really good. Their Greek salad is trash, worst I have ever had. My daughter ordered the chicken souvlaki the first time and loved it. Tried thr sweet and sour chicken and hated it. Server wouldn't remove it from the bill after we told her she didnt what to eat it but she took 5 bucks off.

Came here for an early dinner on Tuesday. Place wasn't busy but the service seemed slightly rushed and terse. The food was good and I liked the environment. Maybe a little on the pricier side for the serving but was still worth it. Desserts were very reasonably priced. Interior looked clean and modern. I would definitely go back and give something else on the menu a shot.

We moved to Elliot Lake 16 months ago and have dined often at the Fireside. I really enjoy being served by the two male servers and the older female server. They are not only efficient but lots of fun! The food is delicious every time and I get a lunch to go from my dinner plate. The live entertainment on Thursday evenings is a nice touch and something nice to look forward to. When my family comes up from the GTA, they always want to have at least one meal there!

Very friendly staff. Genuine small town feeling. Very clean, OK decor... Good value for the price. Most of the menu items home made. Fries outstanding. As an aside, they have both gendered and unisex restrooms.

I was surprised by the awful service we received from our waitress. Apparently she’s friends with the owner so maybe she gets away with that type of behaviour. The poor quality of my meal was also surprising. It was much better in the past. I come home to visit and usually eat here every time, but the quality is sliding. The Tuesday rib special included two bites of warm coleslaw . The small two bite container sat beside the slightly warm fries . I gave the driver a $ 5.86 tip . Never again . Thank you for the response , I'll keep in mind that in future cold items will be separate from hot .
