There is a fish store, butcher and ethnic little shops for dry goods. Pretty much everything is cheaper than any other supermarket we've been to. There is also a fresh biological fruit juice shop for bottled juices of your choice. Conveniently located off Blvd Newman. Paid $39 for 1.5 weeks worth of produce. The fish store also has cooked fish and tables and chairs for eating.

Sami Fruits has the lowest fruits & vegetable prices in Montréal! The variety of products is good, and the produce has always been in stock every time I shop there. Big downside is that they don’t accept credit cards at all. Just cash and Interac transactions. In this day and age, that’s unforgivable.

Try as hard as you can to visit this place!!! There are about 5 little ‘Sami’ shops in here, my favourite of which was the poissonerie. They hooked me up with amazing grilled shrimp, perfect Greek salad, and when I told them I had never been there before, they insisted I take two baked crab rolls. Including the garlic potatoes I think I paid $15

They don’t take credit cards. I had a shopper full of fruit just to find out they don’t take credit cards. And I happened to leave my debit at home. And their cash withdrawal atm has a high fee not to mention the 22% interest rate you’d be charged getting cash from a credit card. Potatoes were mostly rotten. Asparagus was rotting away. It’s insane they let these large quantities rot away like this. Shame that a big business like this doesn’t take credit or tap to pay options.

you have to have experience of picking out produce if you choose to go here. or else you might get rotten fruits or vegetables. parking can be difficult during the weekends. the store only take cash or debit card, so watch out for that. the inside of the store can get cold , especially in the winter.

Love it there. Great prices, no frills, but same and even better quality than the fancy grocery stores. Unless you only buy organic, this is the place to go. Employees keep to themselves, but if you have a question they're always super nice. fresh fruits, veg, nuts, eggs. In the connecting mall there's a butcher, fishmonger and specialty shop. perfect!

This is a great place to buy your fruit and vegetables, also nuts and eggs. The place is a huge refrigerator containing all of your standard produce plus many other less common surprises. The prices are spectacular. Not everything is perfectly fresh or ripe, but I find that the quality rivals all of the other places. They have plenty of parking, a great location, and the best value.

sometime its cheap sometime its not. Some time you get quality, sometime not. Their register are from the 90s. Bills are from the 80s. The checkout counter is always dirty. Their employee barely speak French or English. Most of the fruit & vegetable are from the united states and it taste like nothing. SOMETIME, fruit may look like the one you collect on the ground rather than from the trees.

Sami Fruit is the place for real cooks. The fruit and veg market feels like you've travelled to another country, piled high with food from many cultures to suit all tastes. You'll find things there you've never seen in any other store, all fresh and real, not that tasteless plastic produce in the chain grocers. The butcher's shop has many things you won't find in your fussy cooking-for-two grocery stores: giant turkey legs, mutton and beef & pork cuts not for the faint of heart. Best of all is the fish shop, which really is more of a deli where you can get cooked fish, seafood, rice dishes, veg and all sorts of tasty treats to eat right there. The price is so low, the quality good and the clerks are very generous with the extras. If you run a restaurant, need to feed a crowd, are on a budget or are a real cook, go to Sami Fruit plaza.

I only did my fruit shopping at the Sami Fruits in LaSalle. Now that it's in the West island, I only shop here. Yes it is only fruits and vegetables but that's only because they haven't opened the rest of the (already built) building. Fruits and veggies are fresh and do last a good time. Like any fruit store, if you go shopping the day before they put out new stock then expect your food to not last as long.

The best place for having legumes, fruits and seeds, the best price and quality. The only thumbs down is that you have to come so early if you want to take the freshness stuffs, if you come at rush hours you will fight for them. As others have said - good prices and clean store - but produce spoils fast - because the store is too cold. Often the produce is nearly frozen. We don't buy potatoes or onions here - they spoil in days because of the excessive cold.

Sami fruits is a wonderful place to get fruits and vegetables at very low prices. The pros: you can get ripe mangos, guava, papaya and other hard to find tropical and ethnic fruits here that are sweet and ready to eat. The employees will help you find the perfect fruit if you tell them what you're looking for. The dried fruits and nuts are fresh and crispy and have high turn around. In over 5 years I have never had a stale tasting nut from here. I have bought nuts from all kinds of places, even large name brands and I still prefer these. Some people are turned off by the open bins and people contact but really shouldn't be. Again high turnover means fresh nuts :) The con is that with such low prices, only buy enough fresh fruits and veggies for a few days, a week at most ( unless you're freezing or preserving for jams) as it requires refrigeration and will go bad quickly. Also, stop by the fish place at the other end. Wonderful fresh seafood or prepared meals to go. Employees are quick and helpful and this is my go to place for fresh fish, whole or fillet. The ethnic groceries are nice, great authentic corn tortillas. Customers are diverse and I have often asked a stranger about how to prepare an exotic vegetable and thus introduced new amd exciting foods to my family.

They have mostly all fruits and vegetables, in big quantities. They don't always taste the best though - sometimes they taste like they've been conserved in a room with fungus or at the very least extremely humid. Some do taste good and fresh, So you never know what you might get But they have convenient opening hours and they now take intetac, which they didn't until very recently and it was a major inconvenience. The cashiers are not the most smiling nor friendliest, but once you're used to it - doesn't matter much

Great location off the highway. I know it's probably a security thing but there are so many dudes standing around looking at people and can be sometimes make one uncomfortable how they stare. Otherwise great selection of vegetables and fruits. Has 2 different avocado types which I a plus for me. Nuts prices are unbeatable. Usually the lady at the cash acts almost as if she doesnt want my money BUT this time a different girl was so nice and helpful :-)

Sami Fruits DDO is an average Sami Fruits in the W.I. There is a lot of selections of fruits and vegetables. The land use to be a dealership and it is pretty small. The Sami Fruits in Laval, LaSalle and Villeray is much bigger and you can navigate easily. Also, most of the workers I saw were wearing masks down and up sometimes. So please be aware for that. Most of their produce is decent and some are overripe so it depends to you what you like to choose. Some of the employees are willing to help if you can not reach anything. They are polite and if you need help they will help. You can ask them for help as well. Most of the employers are wearing regular clothes so you may not know if they are employees or shoppers. The service is okay and they accept debit cards if you do not have cash. Although they should step it up and accept Credit cards now as well. Prices are reasonable and affordable as well. Parking is small and no places to put your trolleys once you are done. They need to change that A.S.A.P. All in all a good grocery store for all.

Erase time you flew here on early Street it was great when it first started everything was fresh potatoes onions fruits it was fresh it was cheaper was fast all the employees here had a smile on their face and everybody was very happy to help you now over the years their quality of products has the one of those I bought into bags 50 lb bags of potatoes in the last 4 months and each time more than half the bag has been rotten a lot of their fruits and that fresh anymore and there are no longer smiles and they're no longer happy to help you so fruit fruit wise I give it a 4-star cuz there's a lot of fruits and you are still fresh service wise I give it a two-star happiness and welcoming are you the one

The only thing I hate at Sami Fruits, we have to pay in cash only; they don't use the debit card, which it's awful, we are in the year of 2018, we are not in pre-history and this company should update the way customers pay; everywhere else we can use at least our debit card. Who doesn't like Sami fruit. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. It's a very cold place so make sure ur always dressed properly otherwise ur shopping won't be as pleasant. That's just a personal opinion .... As for the prices no one beats them. Doesn't last too long but I went one liquid diet and it was the place for me as I used huge amounts of fruits and vegetables the price Vs quality Vs quantities it was just perfect

The fruits and vegetables are not too bad in quality. Their prices are affordable. However their Covid measures are quite deplorable. When we arrived the carts were scattered every at the entrance. No one was there to clean them nor was there anything to clean them with. Once in the store, about 40% of the staff either had their masks on their chins or not over their noses. At the cash the two cashiers were either arguing or discussing (who knows what) with their masks half off and not even directly behind their clear dividers. At one point one of the cashiers even took off her mask to be heard louder. The plastic flaps hanging from their doorways are a breeding pool for covid. Everyone touches them and they flap all over you when you walk through them. Not impressed with the precautions the are taking to care for their customers.

They also have a large amount of eggs bigger than you think it's the normal little white eggs, so no they don't have free run or brown eggs I dont think Ive never seen them and also as much as I seen they sell them.in boxes Water bottles ? YOU guessed it .... YESSSS they sell them in packs also convenient right? Oh and have you heard of the little deal they give you ? I'm not too sure how much you have to spend to get the deal I think it starts 40$? (I'm not sure don't be mad if I'm wrong) but they give a little % off at the fish place all the way at the end of the complex I'd you don't know where it is just ask the staff or the cashier's they will gladly show you it's worth it I promise freshest fishies you'll ever eat and even there they have a great amount of selections I can't say they have mountains cause you know.. that would be weird lol but there you have it I hope you enjoy this review and I hope you treat yourselves to Sami fruits it's well worth the money ! ????????‍♀️

It’s not like a conventional grocery store, more like a Costco for fruits and vegetables. It could get crowded at times, so pick and choose the timings to go when it’s not busy. Clean area and neat area. Only cash & interact accepted. Not sure if I would purchase all my groceries here, since it may not be 100% organic or non-GMO.

I have very good experiences with sami fruits store. Their employees are very polite and helpful only once i fail down because the floor close to herbal veg was very wet therefore i am walking with caution after that. Only it bother me that they closing 2 days which is not comparative with other stores. Thx.

I love this place for fresh fruit and vegetables. The on they have in the east of montreal, the quality is trashed. I guess the west island is a different clientele. The only good thing they have i enjoyed is the juice section they have. If the one in the west had that juice section it would be amazing!! They have section where you can buy veggies already packaged an for cheaper. Only downside is they are closed monday and tuesday so you kind of have to wait until Wednesday if you want to re up on your fruits and veggies

They have a great selection in fruits and vegetables. They used to offer really big vegetable and fruit platters for $15/small and $30/big. They removed this service 3 months ago...really dissapointing. The service isnt great.

Does anyone know who I have to call to get them to take down the plastic drapes of the doors as it collects germs and this could spread the virus. Yes we wash our hands before going in, but if we sneeze in our arm and push the drapes then the virus will spread on to the next person. I went today and they were so dirty I didn't even go in because of that and I shop there a lot and about 3 weeks ago they didn't have them on. Please take them down

I’ve been a loyal customer of Sami Fruits in Lasalle for years, but I’ve decided not to go there anymore. Many employees are not wearing masks (or wearing them improperly, not covering their noses), and customers are walking around with no masks on and nobody challenges them. Given that this is where people touch and handle food, it’s unacceptable. I hope they improve their practices soon, otherwise they’ll lose many more good customers like me.

I live in NDG and this was my first visit here.Fruit and vegetable quality is very good. Prices are as much as 1/4 of regular supermarket prices. WOW ! The Sami Seafood market is 5 stars for me and I'd give 6 stars for prices. Amazing place! I'll drive 20 minutes to get there from now on.

Best prices on the west island hands down, but the produce is for immediate consumption and spoils quickly. Inspect the produce carefully! I've purchased many produce (apples, pears, ...) Only to find they are rotten inside out. My biggest peeve is that it is a cash only business. In 2016-2018, this is simply ridiculous!!!

In general really good prices on most items. As others have suggested, produce doesn't seem to last long. I wouldn't recommend getting more than a week's supply max. If you do that, then prices are hard to beat. Staff is friendly. Only debit and cash accepted so plan ahead.

I dont understand why sammi fruits is still in business. If your reading this, Dont waste your money here, your going to regret it. The place is crazy busy. Lots of selection at great prices. But beware some of the condition of the fruits are bruised and old. So you have to be careful when selecting as they can go bad quickly. I would only shop here if I'm cooking them when I get back home or consume within 2 days. Not somewhere I would shop very big to just lie around the house. If you're looking to save and making large quantities of food this is the place to go. If not, I prefer other stores that cost a little more but you'll know they'll last longer. I remembered they were located in marche Jean Talon. I rarely bought anything there and paid more for competitors as you can tell the quality was superior.

If you like throwing food away we’ll Sami’s is the store for you. The quality of there produce is a -2. I choose vegetables and fruits that we’re NOT on special. Hoping my selection of fruits and vegetables that were not wrapped would be better and would not expired the next day. WELL not the case. My tomatoes were ok the day I bought them one day later they became very soft and spotted. The blueberries once I opened them in the middle of the batch bad blueberries were hidden away. Raspberries was the same. The rapini became Yellow two day later broccoli the same. Peppers were the only produce that were already bagged , we’ll 40% were spotted and rotten. I could go on I spent over 100$ never again. If you choose to shop at Sami’s don’t expect much you get what you pay for. Avoid this store if possibles, but if you like throwing food away we’ll this is the store for you. Good luck.

I always knew the fruits/veggies were 3rd rate...but I still sometimes shop there. Today I had a HORRIBLE experience where I tried to buy a fruit platter for Christmas. I found out that they would be open the 24th so I told the man I would come back the next day (24th) to order one that would be more fresh. The man told me I would need to place an order because they would be busy. I agreed and told him I would like to place an order. He seemed irritated and tried to FORCE me to buy the fruit plate in store. I refused and told him I wanted a fresher one that I would pick up the next day. HE REFUSED ME!
