Hidden gem tucked away in the corner of a strip mall where the Mourelatos used to be. Fresh seafood on ice on one side and adjacent is the kitchen. Since it was just after lunch, I opted for the Salmon Plate which was suggested by the owner and if you like spicy, they can make it spicy for you, (I like spicy.) Amazing fresh food, friendly service and great prices. I can't wait to try out the other dishes. #supportlocal

Definitely the best seafood restaurant in town! I had the occasion to eat here a few time and they never disappoint. Large portions, fresh food, super tasty and mostly: cooked with love! You can see their passion. They are very welcoming and take time to make sure you have the best service. I will be back here for sure!

Eating there was a delight! Was there many times. Understandably fish and other seafoods takes time to cook. Witn that said, I commend the kitchen staff for their efforts. I myself work in Food and Beverage, I can understand life in restauration. LEZZZGO!!!

A great find for fish lovers! My family and I always go there to enjoy some of the finest sea food. The staff are very nice and the owner as well! The place is always clean and welcoming. If you are going to eat alone, I recommend getting the "Solo Mix." It's a mix of fried shrimps, calamari and a filet of bassa served with a side of fries. Or you could always try the family meal if you are going with friends or family. The prices are affordable and not excessively priced. Overall I love this sea food place and I recommend it to any sea food lover. It's always a nice experience to go and enjoy food!

Great place with very fast service. Our kids are picky eaters, but they always ask to go to Le Canal. The staff is always friendly and the fries are always crunchy and fresh.

I went here for the first time and ordered the family plate menu item. The fries were crispy and seasoned nicely, loved the salad, and the fish were all deep fried perfectly. I wish some items were grilled but I'll try them next time. The restaurant has a nice 'fishing dock' theme which complements the food. You notice a gill smoke smell as soon as you walk in, which you may or may not like– I do like it. Overall, great first impression.

Amazing hidden gem in the West Island. Fresh seafood cooked to perfection and to your liking. You can get your fish fried or grilled. The shrimp, calamari, lobster, fries, salad and pretty much everything on the menu is absolutely Devine! The food is cooked to order so make sure you tell the chef your preferences, he will accommodate! Amazing family run restaurant with outstanding customer service! We can’t get enough of Le Canal!

Small and quaint little restaurant a bit archaic system…… However!!! The food was fantastic. We had grilled octopus, calamari, sautéed shrimp with a salad and Egyptian rice served with caramelized onions. Everything was delicious!

What an experience! What can I say? My wife and I headed over there for a quick take out meal. Not only did we fall in love with the place, but now I have to explain to my mother in-law why she’s not the best cook anymore. Le canal redefined what seafood is supposed to taste like and quite frankly, it is by far the best fish places in town! Thank you to the owners for treating us like family, and giving us amazing tips on how to properly season and prepare a fish dish!

Restaurant Le Canal. Is a decent seafood restaurant. We visited this restaurant in December 2020 for takeout. They are extremely busy so the service is pretty slow and we understand that. They have so many orders. Also Dine-in Was not available since it was a pandemic. Other than that we ordered the Calamari a grilled fish and it was delicious. The Perfect amount of salt and spices, not that salty nor overpowered.It was delicious. I felt like though the serving was small and a bit pricey for what they served us. I would recommend this restaurant to all. We hope to try this restaurant again in the future and expect changes to everything.

I was excited to try this place with my middle eastern mother who was looking for good fish in the West island. Everything was very fresh but it lacked the restaurant ambiance. We called ahead to reserve a table, we came in and sat down quickly. To order you have to go to the fish area to choose your fish and place your order at the counter, there is no menu except online. It was our first time so we ordered a bunch of plates from the menu. I later saw that no one else was ordering like that. Most people were ordering whichever fish they wanted and then shared fries, rice, salads, etc.....the price was extremely reasonable. The calamari was probably the freshest and best I ever had, the fish n chips aren't at all pub style fish and chips, more like deep fried pieces of fish, you can choose from Basa Basa, halibut, code and sole. Again, everything was very fresh. I would go again but I would order differently. Almost all our plates wether it was french fries, fish, calamrie, rice, shrimp all had the same spices on them making everything taste similarly, I found that a little boring. A pitcher of water was placed on our table but ordering and paying for everything is done at the main counter, all our waitress did was bring the food to us, never asked if we wanted anything, not even water. I was curious to see if they would ask for tip, they did, not sure about the etiquette for that..

Ordered 2 days ago on Mother's day. $120.00 worth of seafood for 4 people. Calamari was good. Shrimp not cooked as ordered, (asked for not spicy) but was at least cooked well. Lobsters and scallops were way too overcooked. Hard and dry. Since they have such great Google reviews overall, and thinking they may have just been overwhelmed on Mother's day, I decided to speak to the manager before leaving a not so great review here. Thought they would replace some dishes or at least reimburse a large part. Nope. Said the best they could do was 10% off my next order. Told there would therefore not be a next order and they responded that they were sorry to see me go . This is not my idea of good management. Too many other really good fish restaurants.
