Fantastic experience. Started with the trout mousse, the pan-seared scallops and the burger as our main, and blueberry cheesecake and hot fudge brownie to finish. Best meal we've had all trip. Scallops were beautifully cooked, and the apple butter was a wonderful complement. Burger was expertly seasoned. The interior decor had such a welcoming and interesting feel that we chose to forego the patio, despite the weather being beautiful. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. All around terrific experience, hope to visit again soon.

Well rounded menu and good price to portion ratio. Great addition to the area with excellemt service and an upscale environment. We will definitely be back to check out the evolving menu changes...such a " treat" these days compared to "all things fried" or boring/ stagnant menus. CONGRATS AND WE'LL DONE!!!!

I love coming to Sydney street when I’m home! Honestly one of the best burgers in the world I’ve had over the years. Great atmosphere, the staff has always been lovely and accommodating no matter what time of day you roll in and the kitchen consistent. You can tell that this place is a labour of love and it shines through! You make Digby a nicer place to come to!

Been here a few times this summer. (been last year too, but what a difference a year makes) The first time we came a week or so ago and the food was amazing! Stir fry was the best, chowder...can't find better anywhere nearby, and love the rice. My spouse raved on about the scallops and devoured the yummy chicken flatbread that was on special! Thank you to the chef Emile! You are a great addition to the team. Love your cooking. We did go another time after that when a different chef was there. Still great, but just found the stir fry was a little too saucy for our taste, the scallops were a little colder than the first time on delivery and parsley was on everything...little too much, but still can't complain! Great food, friendly service. We will definitely be back when passing through again.

The worst restaurant I’ve eaten at in digby by far! The fries fish and poutine were too salty to eat and the seafood crepe tasted rotten. Even after informing the waitress (who was slow and bland) of our experience she still attempted to charge for the meal. Actually had to walk out of the restaurant will not be back.

Delicious food and beer and a great view. Great service. Our only complaint was that the gap between the appetizers and entrees was 25 mins or more, when in fact we we had ordered everything to be brought out at once. That kinda spoiled the meal but the food and view made up for it.

Incredible live music coupled with friendly attentive staff and good food. Get there early on live music nights or make a reservation to get a seat near the musicians. The place is split up into rooms like so many old style pubs. We were seated in a different room from the music but really enjoyed it regardless. When in Digby, check it out for sure!

What a great experience! Beer, delicious, food fantastic, atmosphere amazing! We got into town on Sunday looking for a quick, but hearty meal, a few beers and some American football. After being highly disappointed by less than friendly hosts ( "Good luck with that☹️!")at other local spots, I decided we'd walk a smidge further. So glad we did. Met Ben at Sydney's and we we're entertained, fed, and properly "watered" here. The wings were great, my fish and chips could not have been fresher, even the tartar sauce was delicious,the scallops: divine. And even the salad was good!! Gingerbread with Whiskey Sauce......brought me back to my childhood. Highly recommended!

The food served here is superb. Judging from the taste of the lobster, scallops and other seafood items one can tell that the dishes here are served fresh. The service is on par with the food, the lady serving us was incredibly nice and helpful. Overall experience was amazing.

The place was PACKED, but it was worth the wait. This was the best plate of fish and chips I had in a long time and they had a great selection of local craft brew. I definitely recommend stoping by.

One of the few year round open restaurants in Digby and well worth a visit. Menu is varied, food is fresh and good quality. Musicians play regularly, particularly on special dates. Viewed the Natal day fireworks from here while sipping a Guinness on the verandah, which provided a perfect view. Service is good. One of the few places where your server could be the towns mayor! Been there many times and enjoy each visit. Will make a point to go again soon.

Absolutely amazing fish stew, very fresh, very heavy! Lobster Mac and cheese is wonderful also. To sum it all up we sat on the rooftop patio and had a beautiful view of the Harbour as the fishing boats came in from the day, highly recommend! Great service !

Called in a Friday night. Despite Covid restrictions, they were able to seat us straight, and what a pleasure it was. The service was friendly and fast, and the food delicious (fish and chips, pulled chicken sandwich with fries), followed by a very tasty chocolate brownie. Along with musical entertainment by a lone guitarist, the evening was completed by a very nice local beer and a Nova Scotia wine. Well worth a visit when in Sight.

She was awesome, the food was awesome, the roof top dining was awesome! I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Digby!

Never stopped here before so this rainy day seemed like a good time to try it out. We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Good choices on the menu and specials. One of us had the chowder (delicious and full ofscallops, lobster, shrimp and haddock) and the other a smoked meat sandwich which was okay but the meat was a bit dried out. The fries were thin and delicious! Our wait person, Carol, was friendly and humorous! We will definitely go back another time we are in the area.

The BEST sweet potato fries ever, it's always so hard to get nice crispy yam fries, but they did it well. Live(ly) music made for a very welcoming atmosphere. Lobster grilled cheese was great to - lobster wasn't overdone, which isn't easy to do in one of those kind of meals!!

A wonderful place to spend the evening in Digby. We initially chose it because it was open till 10pm and most of the other restaurant's closed at 8pm! The food was excellent. Certainly a strange menu for a seafood town, but it was definitely interesting. The Dutch Poutine was delicious and a delightful surprise. The seafood chowder was actually full of seafood and not potatoes! The Thai Fritter Bites were tasty as were the fish and chips. (Tarter sauce was homemade and was really good). The huge bonus of the night was the musical entertainment - Timothy V. We felt like we were at a infamous Nova Scotia kitchen party! He has an excellent voice, and sang lots of classic songs that everyone knew. He handed out kazoo's to the crowd along with other instruments and had the audience join in. It was a ton of fun!

Last night, I experienced at the Sydney Street Pub and Cafe one of the most enjoyable birthdays I've had for years. The food was absolutely exquisite, beautifully presented, plentiful, perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was everything you would expect it to be, and the Celtic/Acadian after-dinner music, spell-binding and fun. The atmosphere in this beautifully renovated pub and restaurant is friendly, cosy and welcoming. In addition, the bill was very reasonable. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful establishment in Digby. I would recommend it with all my heart to both local people and those visiting our shores.

We had a wonderful lunch. My friend had a special grilled cheese sandwich with a smoked tomato soup. I had their wonderful hamburger. The waitress patent with us being first timers there and explained any questions about the menu. The food came out quickly and hot. The waitress checked a couple of times to see if everything was ok. She refilled our coffees and waters... Well worth the 20% tip. I will return.
