Calamari was the best i had had in a long time, garlic scallops were also delicious. Our server was extremely pleasant and clearly very experienced. If digby wasnt so far away from Halifax we would definitely go there frequently! A very special mention the view of the ocean from the back patio - it is amazing.

Based on recommendations from Google we decided to stop by on our way to the ferry. I found this place disappointing. Location & view were nice, but the food was below-average. I found the bacon-wrapped scallops too salty. The hamburger patty was falling apart. The fries were over-cooked & greasy. Food not worth the price. The food arrived quickly and the staff were friendly, but I found the the restaurant was 3-stars at the most.

We decided to try both of the top rated restaurants in Digby, of which Shoreline is one. We had no reservation, so when we asked for, and received, a table on the patio we were very pleased. Our server was a bundle of energy (despite what a hard job she has). Many of the dishes that both restaurants serve are deep-fried or combinations like mac and lobster. We prefer simple preparations: just sautéed with a squeeze of lemon. And since this part of the world is famous for scallops, we requested them done that way. We didn’t order any appetizers because we know how much food they serve. The quality was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner: 2 orders of scallops (14 pieces) + baked potato + (amazing) zucchini + a beer + a glass of wine: CAD $88.

We ate two dinners and lunch at this restaurant and LOVED the scallops. Best we ever had! The location and atmosphere were great and the prices were less than other restaurants. We shared the $29.99 dinner special, which was a bout 14 or 15 scallops, a large salad and a glass of wine.

Very disappointing. Would have loved to try the food, but couldn’t get past the unbelievably horrible service. Arrived at 8:40 pm on a beautiful August Saturday evening (unaware the kitchen closed at 8:30). Customers and staff still there. Wait staff very much aware we’re standing at the “Please Wait to Be Seated” sign, but after a patient 15 minute wait, it was a customer that politely told us that the kitchen was closed. Decided to try again the next evening. After a very abrupt and rude staff member showed us to our table, it was another 20 minutes to get water (they certainly were not understaffed, they had an entire army of very unhappy looking staff members). The energy of the room was very gloomy, and the patrons shrugged their shoulders at one another with a look of “I’m not sure what’s wrong here”. After being overlooked and for an uncomfortably long period of time, we just left. Do yourself a favour, go down the street to the Wheelhouse (amazing food and wonderful staff).

Scallops and calamari were cooked to perfection. Great tasting haddock. Comes with a large plate of fries. Overall amazing food but the lobster was bit over cooked. Carrot cake was a sweet ending - must try. Huge portions. They charge extra for mayo without warning just FYI.

The special of bacon wrapped scallops was not hot and arrived to quickly to the table to be fresh. That said they were good. But I felt like they were pre prepared . The chicken clubhouse sandwich was dry. Not sure if I would go back there.

Had the seafood chowder and the lobster and shrimp in it was very chewy. It wasn't made fresh today. The fish and chips were alright. I expect fish to be made with a beer batter coating but mine was something more crispy. Wasn't a big fan of it. The rest of the food that my family got was good.

Excellent experience here! try to make a reservation if you can, they were packed with customers and reservations when we came on a Friday. The food is so great, their scallops are obviously the star. I got the simple scallops with veg on the side which was awesome, their veggies were so fresh and well cooked. my boyfriend got their scallop stir fry with pineapple curry sauce and loved it. the service is awesome too. would definitely go back!

It always makes me laugh when I am intentionally routed through a gift shop to go anywhere including this restaurant. We bought a few gifts at this quality gift shop. If you are done with gift shops then this restaurant has this one negative feature that you need to consider.

Decent food and prices. We didn't try enough to really say one way or another but the bacon-wrapped scallops in maple were a disappointment - lots of thick syrup covering the dish, overpowering and making it taste like a candy.

The service was very friendly and prompt. Our drinks and meals arrived so quickly. The Neptune salad was probably the best meal of all - great varying components made the dish so flavorful and bright. The seafood chowder was a mountain of seafood in a light cream broth - not so heavy and rich which was fantastic. The chicken alfredo was good, could have used a touch more salt. The fish and chips were great - fresh cut fries, lightly dusted piece of haddock and no sign of grease anywhere, very mild in flavor and so tender it would fall apart in the mouth. The scallop kebab was a let down - very bland scallops and veggies on a skewer of unseasoned white rice. Overall not bad, but the experience really depends on the dish you get.

As Digby is the 'Scallop Capitol of the World', we had to plan a visit during our stay in Nova Scotia. There are several highly rated restaurants in Digby and as we only had an afternoon in Digby, we gambled on the Shoreline Restaurant and we were not disappointed! We lucked up and with no wait got a table on the deck overlooking the marina. Our waitress was fantastic and made several helpful suggestions on our food choices. We started with the Quohog Bites (lightly battered fried clams), I've never cared for clams but these were amazing, not greasy or over-battered. My husband had the highly recommended Pan Fried Scallops and loved them. On the advise of our waitress I opted for the Pan Fried Haddock, fantastic! The portions were all very generous and the prices very reasonable.

The Whiskey Maple Bacon Wrapped Scallops were out of this world! Served with some homemade chips, they were covered in a thick, sticky, sweet glaze that had just a bit of heat and the smokeynesss of the bacon just sent it over the top. The Creamery Garlic Shrimp on Cristiano were perfectly cooked.

Great food and great service. Had the bacon wrapped scallops and garden salad to start. I never thought I would say this but the bacon paled in comparison to the scallops. The garden salad had beets, chevre, dried cranberries and walnuts with a sweet vinaigrette. Delicious. For mains we had grilled scallops and mashed potatoes. Amazing. The kids had fish and chips. The haddock was lightly breaded and we'll cooked and the fries were thinly cut pieces of potato heaven. Great view of the marina. Only regret is being able to eat there once during this trip.

Enjoyed a scallop burger (what else would you eat in Digby?) along with a Lazy Bear Honey Brown. Service was really fast and food was good. Parking in Digby is tight so you might have to walk for a couple blocks.

Wow! Was only in Digby for one meal so was hoping to make the most of it and get some tasty scallops. Definitely picked the right restaurant! Absolutely delicious. The seafood chowder was huge, as was the "small" Caesar salad. Nice view and friendly service rounded out the visit.

Our first time there with another couple. I had curry maple chicken. So delicious! The others had seafood plates: bacon wrapped scallops, haddock, shrimps... all these goodies! Everything was perfect! We sat outside, with the view in the Bay. And our waiter was the best ever! The restaurant is behind a souvenir / crafts shop. A must stop!

Their????????seafood????????was????????crazy????????good! It was my first time in town and def also my first time in this restaurant. I was so surprised about the food we got. I had fisherman’s platter, which included clam, scallops, jumbo shrimp, a piece of fish, veggies (asparagus and carrots) and a bunch of fires. Everything was so delicious, they all cooked so well. The server was very friendly and helpful too. The atmosphere was good, and I love sitting on the patio and enjoy the view! Everything was so amazing! Love it!

If you're in Digby (and you are, because why else would you be reading reviews from there?) and haven't tried Shoreline, are you even really in Digby? The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions for ordering; the food was delicious, and the view of the wharf and harbour were supreme. In typical Digby style, they "scallop all the things"; even the mac and cheese is loaded with them! Will absolutely go again when we return to the area.

The service was excellent and the food came super fast. The fish and scallops are super fresh. You have the option of getting home made chips instead of fries. I highly recommend that. And you can sit out on a balcony and watch the harbour. Craft beer is available and the prices are very reasonable. I would easily go back.

WE GO FOR THE VIEW. FOOD IS SECONDARY. Had lunch with family. We ordered appetizers of calamari( tender and tasty)and Spudchos ( nacho toppings over the house made potato chips). Both were plentiful and delicious. The main I had was clams and house made chips. After the appetizers the chips were a bit much. The clams were good and not greasy. Others had the daily special salad of greens, berries and grilled scallops and shrimp. Fish and chips were also very good.
