Very pleasantly surprised. Although I was the only person in the restaurant... They allowed me to create my own combo plate, and I got sweet and sour chicken, almond guy ding, veggie lo main and an eggroll. Eggroll wasn't the greatest but the rest was actually very good and I'm quite picky when it comes to Chinese food. Cannot say anything about other menu items but all in all a good experience.

Great restaurant. Most of the menu is westernized chinese food (there is more Asian options in the back of the menu) and some straight western food but the decor is good inside. Clean and very red. The food itself was very tasty. Fried items were well battered (not too little and not too much) the portions were really big. It's a lot more than you'd expect. It justifies the price the place asks.

Not impressed by the food here. I had The spring roll (saturated in fat, I know they are deep fried but this was bad..) and the hot and sour soup.. uneventful... no one came to see how my food was and I ended up just leaving with out having anyone ask how my meal was. The view was nice though :)

Horrible! I don't even know where to start! The only pro to this restaurant is the spacious dining room and view of the harbour, that's it! The buffet was terrible. Many items not labelled and what is, is typed out in tiny (almost microscopic) font, printed out and messily taped to the steam table. The labels are dirty, and look like they've been used for years. The selection is poor, and not appealing! Beef triangles, deep-fried chicken - even the titles are off putting. The meat dishes consisted of 90% fat, the only thing that tasted like chicken was the fish! Gross. The dessert/salad bar was completely neglected. The fruit definitely had been left out way too long as it had a pale, dried out appearance. The apple slices were put in water to prevent browning, but we're completely mushy. My two year old honestly didn't eat a single thing. The dining room was okay, but it was full of dirty dishes since the tables that surrounded us were not cleared or cleaned our entire meal. Even our dirty dishes were not taken away when we were done, but of course, the bill was brought without being asked. The only server was unfriendly. She may just have been very shy, but she definitely provided poor service. Like I said, she never cleaned up, took away our dirty dishes taking up room on our table, nor appear even remotely inviting. She was the only waitress however, so she may just need some help or more training. Lastly, the buffet was way overpriced, especially for such terrible service and a horrible meal. The iced tea was really the only decent item they offered, and I'm glad as it was almost $8 for two small glasses! We ended up paying almost $60 for a meal that completely grossed us out, in an unfriendly atmosphere scattered with other people's dirty dishes. We left a $2 tip, and will never return.

Ordered a Pepsi, and it was flat and had too much ice. Got my food, ordered a clubhouse with fries, and it was good, but my sandwich was very salty, and the fries were cooked in the same batter as my gf's egg rolls.

Garbage.....how can it be so awful....I have had Chinese food in several countries from many different Chinese restaurants and it's all been very similar in taste and quality....but ....omg.... The stuff they call Chinese food here in Nova Scotia Canada is disappointing to say the least....it's horrible....it's like they just opened a bunch of cheap cheap Chinese food packages from some supermarket and re heated them...it tastes processed and sickly...way overpriced for what you get... I am so disappointed...I love Chinese food and this stuff just is not up to the quality of what I've had before and what they advertise....anyone who thinks that this stuff is acceptable has either really low standards or has never tasted good quality Chinese food...

Me and my gf ordered 2 plates and fried wontons. We both found a piece of hair in our plates, my spare ribs were cold, the wontons tasted like McDonalds fries with very small portion of meat inside. Flies were bugging us inside the restaurant. Although, the rice, the Moo Goo and the chow mein were good and the prices were cheap.

The House of Wong delivers authentic Chinese food unlike the Chinese food across the street which only has Americanized Chinese food. The food is fresh and tasty. Wait times can be a little long but when your food arrives at your table you will discover that it was well worth the wait. They even serve specialty Chinese vegetables that many here have never heard of nor tasted. With their extensive menu, I could eat here every day!
