I tried Carla's for the first time, and I can't say enough about the food and service I received. I always try to give fair and honest reviews and I would rate this place above any other place in town when it comes to fish & chips for taste, quality, and value for your money. I don't believe it is the cheapest in town but you get a mountain of food for a reasonable price when you look at it quantity vs. price. I had the English style fish batter which was crispy, had a nice golden brown to it and tasted even better then it looked! The previous week I had eaten at a local competitors who's food I used to love but the quantity had been cut in half and had to go to another place to buy something else to eat, but not at Carla's! I almost couldn't walk out the door the portion was so large, so no complaints there. I will be back for sure as this will be my new "go to". I even told her at this rate she will put her competition out if business. Give Carla's a try! You will not leave hungry! ????????

I don't usually give 5-star ratings, I find them a little suspect from the start. That being said we recently stopped by Carla's for takeout (sun/aft), had the seafood platter. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. Good job, Great meal.

This place is Fantastic!! Went in last Sunday, around 5:30pm, place got slammed, but these guys handled it like a pro! We ordered a Large Chicken platter, 2 Large Haddie Bits and chips and 2 double burger platters with the works. The woman at the counter was worried about the wait we had, but honestly it wasn't an issue at all. The food was out of this world delish! Just check out these pics! ***Menu online needs updated, everything is about 50 cents more, but that is no biggie at all. Totally worth the price!

Not really sure what the hype was for the food served here - I'd say it is mediocre. Staff was friendly in the restaurant NOT THE LADY IN THE MARKET. Not sure if it was the color of my skin or the fact she was having a bad day, regardless when a customer asks questions or recommendations. Its best to either provide to the best of your knowledge a response or advise the customer you are unsure. But by NO means should you be rude, uninterested and irritated when a customer is asking questions and taking their time. Almost like I was wasting her time. This lady would sigh, huff and puff when asked a question or about to answer one. ????

We ate here 3 times in the 3 days we stayed in the area. We had the seafood platter, lobster rolls and scallops. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and the prices were more than reasonable. Portions are big and the service was excellent.

Dry batter fish was great! Fries were average. I didn't like the clams. They were mushy. It was really busy and the 2 girls working were going as fast as they could but took a long time to get our food. I'd give them another try, but not if I was in a rush and for sure not the clams.

Our food was fantastic. We ordered a fish burger and haddock tips, both were excellent. Fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, fries were ordinary but cooked just right. Highly recommended, look forward to eating here again. Our meals were ready quickly and the restaurant was nice and clean.

The worst Lobster roll I ever had. Came on a small hot dog bun Charged us $12 each then tax $28 for 2 . This was the smallest and tasteless lobster we ever had. Do not waste your money or time.
