REVIEWS OF La Meza Grill IN Delta

Arrived at 3pm, waited 30 minutes, still didn't get into the restaurant. It wasn't crazy busy, saw people leaving but still didn't get seated. Another customer who was also waiting to get in, told me that I had to write my name on the sign in sheet and list how many people were in my party (2 people). Going to have to do better than this to get any upvotes. Part of reviewing restaurants relates to the food, the other part is the service. I didn't even get to try the food as the service was non existant.

Thomas Sutherland

Amazing food. Good portions for the price.

Jennifer

Great little spot for Filipino food. Gets pretty busy. So weird to have to walk through Astor’s to enter though.

Justin Tan

Soooooo goooood....... Update: This time ordered party trays for office lunch, great food, everyone loves it.

shinket

Soo good!

My advice to anyone coming to this restaurant: don't tip any more than the minimum amount. Youre gonna get the barebones minimum of service, so your tip might as well reflect that. The food is alright, (the halo halo even looked really good) but the waiters/waitresses literally couldn't care less about you. Some things I noticed while eating in here: -we came in and hovered at the door waiting to be seated. That didn't happen so we just picked a table. A girl saw us sit down, put down the menus on our table and walked away without saying a word. -unless someone's delivering food to a table, ALL the workers are 100% of the time just crowded together behind a desk just talking. The entire time no one came to refill our water glasses (which were empty) or asked if we wanted to order anything else. We had to raise our hand if we needed anything. -the little things: food being placed at the end of the table so we had to move them closer ourselves. Having to ask for sauces. Going to the bathroom and someone pointing down the hallway without looking at you. -no eye contact, nobody's smiling, and when they do talk to you, they have the weakest attempt at a polite tone in their voice. You can tell they're just going through the motions. -we weren't the only ones. I saw another person in a group raise his hand for a waiter only to be ignored three separate times. I had to catch someone's attention while they're cleaning a table and TELL THEM MYSELF that 'hey someone needs some service over there'. (the guy even thanked for that afterwards haha) -all in all, we sat ourselves down. Had to flag a person to order the food. Went to the front desk in order to pay. When we asked if we could get our food packed, she gave us a plastic bag and two styrofoam containers so we'd do it ourselves. Literally the only prompt service I saw was someone speeding over to clean up our table after we left LOL It's not in your face bad service. They don't have a snide attitude or anything. It's just...? You can just tell that YOUR experience here (good or bad) doesn't matter to them. At all. Unless you're really craving Filipino food, I'd go somewhere else. Sorry. I've worked in food and customer service before and if I had to give advice for the people working here Id say: hey guys!! If the GUESTS are the ones initiating the service EVERY SINGLE TIME there is obviously something wrong with your priorities here! This is a restaurant business people, c'mon! (One last thing: water is free. Tea isnt free and is $2. What even.)

Delicious Filipino Food.

Good authentic Filipino food.

Greavinci Trongco

We ordered lechon sisig, it seems like they mixed the OLD pork sisig and lechon. So I complained to the server. She did not even apologize and ask if we want a new one, order something else or give it for free..

linda mai

Family friendly, good portions. Okay quality of food

F- Family

So good!! The mixed pancit, garlic rice and BBQ chicken skewers are our favorite. Excellent prices!!

Romarico Mendeja

Great food but the service out of no where, very very bad service, i went there with my family, there was 4 workers in the dining area but nobody take good care of us, the table is dirty, nobody hand the menu, i need to go and ask them, no condiments given, and most of all, they forgot to cook our food, we are waiting for nothing, i we just decided to leave and the cashier is just smiling at us.

It'z Childish Boba Tea

Delicious FOOD and staff are all friendly and good service.

Naomi Kragh

This place is really good food and not over priced. There was something for everyone and my children, who are picky eaters... loved the spaghetti, and garlic rice. We will be back.

Graydon Mcmullen

We love this place .. the food is great and so are the Staff, just like home in the PHILIPPINES ????

Papa Paolo

An oasis for anything pinoy in that part of surrey or lower mainland for that matter

Chris Uchiha

Fair price, fair portions and friendly service. Couldn't ask for a better experience with genuine Filipino cuisine. ???? I'll also note that I've ordered take-out on multiple occasions and was always pleased by the food and happy with the punctuality in which it was prepared.

Lloyd B

dinakdakan and bbq

Mike Reyes

Good Filipino cuisine and the only decent one in Delta. Attached to a very well-stocked Filipino/Asian store 88 Seasons Mart. Friendly service although can get busy during lunch and dinner hours especially on Sunday. Food is very good and well-seasoned. Pickup service is ok. No reservations needed.

Jp

Its our first time to try this place but kinda disappointed as they were busy and nobody was attending in front to cater their customer. You have to put your name on your own from their list to secure the table but still you have to wait to be called. and wait and wait and wait????. We ended up going back to Vancouver and try our luck here next time. We are still coming back to taste their food oneday.????

Perry A

The food was awesome. The service is so so but who cares when it's good food!

Victory Day

We have ordering food from La Meza since it opened for business. Last night, we ordered Pancit Palabok and Lumpia Shanghai. Both we terrible! Pancit Palabok tasted bland as it had barely enough sauce. Lumpia Shanghai was over cooked and burnt that some were almost as hard as rocks. Last month, I ordered 3 dishes from them and I noticed a big decline in the quality of food, but I let it go. This time, I am really unhappy with this restaurant! ????

Roderick DM Briones

Great food. Fair prices. Always satisfied every time we visit.

Mike O

Love this place. Bbq and the dinakdakan are a must.

Tim Woodland

Went here for lunch. The food was served pretty quick. Not sure if you would make it back to work in 30 min. This was my first time to eat a philapino restaurant and I quite enjoyed it. I will go back.

Casual Gamer

Victoria Driving School Inc.

Good Filipino restaurant. Friendly staff, delicious food.

North Delta Local Reviews

Great home cooked food and prices! Friendly staff and I love the convenience of the attached store. I love the BBQ

Michael Suezo

Ordered from doordash, got old pork bbq skewers and burnt liempo. They claim to have tried to call doordash when my wife specified shes allergic to shrimp but I believe they didn't want to go to the trouble and delivered their bicol express with shrimp paste in their recipe anyway. Poor food quality.

Shawn Gill

Great Fillipino food. Tastes traditional.

June Ragudo

it's a great place where i have my first filipino dinner date with my special someone great pricely good foods and service. small nice place not but crowded. sweet lol

Aicha Abella

Service was good, however, food wasnt as great. We ordered two of the platters, lomi, sinigang chicken skewers and garlic rice. Chicken skewers, garlic rice and lomi was good however the pork on the sinigang was tough(wasn't cook long enough). The most disappointing were the seafood as it was clearly pre cooked items. The squid and the fish were dry unfortunately and lost their juiciness. Those items cook quickly and it doesnt have that much fat on them so precooking them doesn't bold well.

Joseph David

Authentic Filipino food!

Oscar Oviedo

Awesome veggie spring rolls.

Mehlee Lemente

La Meza Grill is an authentic Filipino restaurant. Very tasted food just like home.

Its. Shirelle

Not bad at all... our go to spot when craving filipino food. their BBQ, Lumpia Shanghai and Pancit Canton is YUM! I only gave five star cus i wouldn't suggest dinning in Take Out is the way to go.

Mauili

Everything was DELICIOUS, but my family and I were disappointed on the calamari. I remember it use to be big and crunchy. Now it just looks sad????.

Angel Contreras

Food is good. The service. ..they could improve.

Adrian Gonzales

Great environment and awesome traditional Filipino cooking.

Mokka Frapp

Feels like home!

Lesly Vizcarra

I’ve been a long time customer of La Meza Grill and have always enjoyed their food and customer service however we ordered take out from them about a month ago and ordered our usual items. When we got home to have dinner we were so disappointed the Nilaga tasted like water... and the Bicol had no flavour and was drenched in oil! I called and explained what happened and even asked if they changed owners /chef or something cause that’s not how their food normally tastes...anyway Kristine was great and apologized and said she talked to management and that we will get a discount next time we ordered. So today we ordered again and I guess Kristine was not there so we had to explain again what happened to the lady working and what was promised...anyway we got a 5% DISCOUNT... ARE YOU SERIOUS.. we spend at least $100 each time we come... and we get $5 OFF... I’m not expecting a huge discount but really...shows how much you value your long time customers.... absolutely disappointed!

Jennifer F

Yummy chicken skewers, the mixed Pancit, spring rolls and garlic rice are great! Very affordable!

Andy Wang

ARMANDO ESPINOSA

Good food and great service

Raymond Lopez

Fantabulous Restaurant !!!

James Tanliao

About average price for Filipino food. Was a big fan of their night market sisig-tacos, which unfortunately isn't on the restaurant menu.

Jordan

good

Gene Guevara

Friendly courteous people. Food is terrific!

Jennyfer Tan

One of the better Filipino restaurants I've tried. I especially love the Dinakdakan and Pork BBQ (they used bacon-cut pork which was easier to eat than chunks), will definitely go back again.

Ben Valenzuela

The barbecued pork and chicken are bigger and cheaper than the ones in Vancouver ;) Love it

Ljohn

Good food! Affordable and good service. The place is just a little small.

Wilf Ham

Good deals & a great variety of juice

Romeo Agregado

Ordered for 6pm last christmas eve. I got ther at 6pm and the people told me that i have to wait in line. Ok inunderstand it’s xmas eve. I got inside after 1 hour only to find out that people who are paying inside gets their food right away. Horrible experience indeed! Also. The guy that’s managing the queue was super rude. Making side comments about customers and telling them to shut up.

Jared Yelle

Friendly staff and delicious Filipino food.

Melodina Solon

YUMMY n affordable

Jed M.

Worst service. Food is ok. Waited 1 hr for our order. We had a coupon from the entertainment book, but was told that they don't honor it because apparently entertainment book printed their coupon without their consent, I emailed entertainment book about it and was told that they wouldn't do that. Waste of time and money

Charlene Lagyap

Good serving but a little bit salty

Munchica

Tried the Chicken BBQ Lechon Tacos at the Richmond Night Market. They looked nice but the chicken was super dry and over salted and the whole dish kinda lacked a cohesiveness. Edible, but wasn't too enjoyable and kinda pricy for what you get.

Monica Glaboff

The food is fabulous! I feel bad for the servers as they're run of their feet but they still manage to smile and are so polite. If they doubled the size of the restaurant, I'm sure there'd still be long lineups because of the food.

Christine Tan

Good variety, pretty good quality and love the grocery next door! Has sylvanas, sardines, ginataan Bilo Bilo, Biko, fita crackers!

Charles Vasquez

Looking for a brunch place and found this gem. Food is great, good size serving and it taste really good. Definitely coming back to this place and will highly recommend this to friends.

Jacqueline Fermill

Service was great. Quality of food was okay we ordered a large quantity of food. Some dishes were good others not as good. Some dishes were bland.

Great selection of Filipino favourites at reasonable prices...

Mj Morelos

So disappointed and appalled with the service I received and the food itself! After hearing praises about this place I decided to take my kid for some food and dessert. It took 55 mins from when we arrived, to when we finally received our food. The couple sitting next to us, which ordered at the same time as us had not only received all their food items before us, but was almost done their meal by the time we received ours. The pork and veggie dish we ordered had only one small shred of pork throughout the entire dish. When I told the waitress, she didn't show any desire to rectify the situation and dismissed me. I will not be returning to La Meza Grill.

Rommel Cordoviz

Poor service waited for 45 mins for our order and the people that just came got there order first. Will not eat there again i was really choked the way the service.

Alexander Hanna (Endo)

Great spot to satisfy craving for home cooking. Especially, the silogs.

James Llagas

The food was great! I wanted to treat my parents to dinner and they enjoyed the place. But what we noticed was that there was a lack of customer service out on the floor. I wasn't informed on whom our server was gonna be, and the server, with the thin round eyeglasses, seemed like she didn't want to deal with anyone since her face looked irritated as if she didn't want to deal with anyone. We asked her for some water, but she never came back. Whether your food is great or not, it's always important to have somewhat of a great customer service.

Jed Galvez

Best tocino in BC!

Edwin Dela Pena

Good food. Worth a try.

Gene B.

I always dine and grab take outs from this resto yet three things i would like to comment for improvement. 1. Fresh Lumpia, the oversize than what is normal is completely not presentable that it would make you feel not to eat it. the wrapper is too thick and hard and i felt like i was eating pizza, shouldn't it be like crepe? im sure any cuisineir wouldn't like it too. 2. Chopsuey, too many bell peppers and vegetables were overcooked. 3. customer service, because the fresh lumpia was too big so i requested it be cut into three slices but the server refused to do so because accordingly, they are not allowed? what a policy for a customer friendliness.

Allen Hsieh (Co_Ol)

Great home Filipino food and good BBQ foods

Mykel Uy

Enjoyed the Tapsi and nice place

Ron Poblete

The food, the price, especially the ambiance of the place is really amazing, all servers and cooks are youngsters. But the serving time is not really a pleaser as we waited for 20-30 mins each menu that we orders, so it's like eating in a installment basis. Overall it was still a good experience for us.

Anthony Do

Great place. Authentic Filipino food. Great workers. Its busy at certain points of the day, so prepare ahead and not wait when your extremely hungry.

Dan Sylvester

I was beyond impressed, so inexpensive as well

michael sheila david amby

One of the better Filipino Restaurants around. It would be nice if they have more branches.ü

We're The Muller's

great selection of filipino goodies and Filipino food. Friendly staff

Parjesh R

Good place to come for chicken bbq kebabs, they are $3.50 and they don't hold back the amount of chicken they can fit in the stick. Sticks are standard size. Slightly longer if you eat in.

Andy

Best Philippino cuisine I've ever had. the service was impeccable as their staff greeted and sat us down in their well lit and cozy space. I highly recommend the lechon sissig (personal favourite), as well as the skewers, and rice varieties. The mouth watering aroma as the food arrives to our table confirmed that this was going to be my sanctuary for delicious comfort food. i ended up ordering another sissig to go, to bring back home for my family.

Greek Filipino

Food is great. My favorite filipino restaurant at all time.❤️

gilkin tanah (majenie)

Good food, pinoy shopping that is more bigger selection and good people.

Lawrence B

Good Filipino Food.

Kevin Tengco

Me and my family ordered a few party trays from La Meza that included Pork BBQ, Pancit Bihon, and lumpiang shanghai. Now, I am a Filipino who's had Filipino food all his life but was unaware of the level La Meza serves at! The barbecue skewers were meaty and juicy. Definitely great value for the amount of meat they pack in their skewers. Shanghai was crispy all throughout, I know at some places the shanghai gets somewhat soggy afterwards due to the moisture but this maintained it's crispiness and deliciousness well over our pick up time. Nihon was very flavorful and satisfying. Will definitely order from again to try out their other items. Would rate higher if I could!

savanna ashley

Absolutely a treat ! What an amazing philipeno experience the skewers were so saucy and yummy

Jovy Camaongay

What Filipino food is all about!

Edgar Ignacio

simply the best pinoy restaurant. Customer service is exceptional, they replaced our ordered barbeque because they are under cooked with no question asked. Servers are great and they top up our water before they ran out. I highly recommended this place.

Allan Bernard Fernandez

Filipino Fusion food, not your everyday "lutong bahay".

Vaq Jaq On The Block

The best asian food

Vilma Delizo

Halo halo ice should be finer. But great food, service, price and ambience. Going back for the caldereta and pork sisig...

Jhoana Marie Castillo

Highly recommended ! the food was great

Keziah David

Came here as I was craving a typical Filipino breakfast and they did not disappoint. Both the fiancé and I got the longsilog and tapsilog. Big serving of the garlic rice (which I was thrilled about) plus everything else tasted as I hoped they would. The place wasn’t too busy when we got there (Friday brunch), so it was a relaxing atmosphere. Our server was also friendly and accommodating. Another plus side is that there is a Filipino store attached to the restaurant, so I found all my childhood snacks there. I will for sure be coming back as I will be living in the neighbourhood soon enough. We were overall impressed that the service, the interior, and everything else was great and not ‘run-down’ because it seemed like they cared about catering to everyone and not just the Filipino community.

Jessica Dhaliwal

This cuisine seems like the most disgustingly meaty and needs to get with the times to come up with better vegetarian options clearly added to the menu

Stephanie A. Victo

Super nice staff and great food

Rhea Primmer

Delicious tasty food depending on your choice..staff are very friendly and accommodating.. ????????

Really bad service. Waited an hour and a half for food didnt even get the right food items. Not a friendly establishment; does not believe in “the customer is always right”.

Bruce Gardiner

Take out only.

Working Hands

Food was good and delicious

James Logan

This place is the bomb! So good! Went with my family last Saturday and really enjoyed it. The house BBQ pork everyone has to try. We want to go back and try their breakfast options and get some halo halo when the weather warms up. Great food, great service, can't rate them high enough.

Eugene Pinero

Very good quality of food and excellent service

Erin Terry

Great food. We were there as group and preferred a little bit of everything. None of us had tried this type of cuisine before and it didn't disappoint. So yummy, I can still taste the flavors

Arvin Aguilera

Sisig is the best here:)

Gem De la pena

Bbq are the best

gilbert villanueva

Place to go if you missed Filipino food. Descent restaurant. Always busy. Tried the bicol express, lumpiang sarawa, kare-kare and sisig. Sisig didn’t met my expectations.

Anne Fausto

Amazing staff, always super friendly. Great food! I always get the tofu sisig.

Island Mermaid88

We had a blast! Satisfied cravings for Filipino cuisine and a Filipino store beside it, all in 1 place! D best

Mr. T

They didn't accept my valid Entertainment coupon, but whatever

Jodi Lacsamana

For foodies who enjoy or want to try authentic Filipino food, this is the place to go! The food quality is consistent and the portions are generous for the price that you pay for. I highly recommend the chicken/ pork skewers and the pork sisig (the bangus sisig is also a tasty alternative), & the halo-halo for dessert. The restaurant is also conveniently located beside a Filipino store which offer a wide variety of asian goods and snacks. Great food selection, good service and always clean. Must try!!

Rodrigo Moreno Villamar

Amazing food. Wonderful service!

jarvijabe De Asis

We just have our dinner an hour ago. The ambiance are good and plating is some how beautiful. But the people has poor service. We had a party platter with combination of fish and meat but the fish is not fresh..it has bad smell and unpleasant taste. I asked the server to change and took them a while to change the menu. And get late on our appointment beacuse of waiting.Hopefully next time when a customer complain they pls.pay attention and do some action how to resolve it as soon you can and make sure the food that you serve are new and can't poison othere people. Because my family right now is unwell. Hopes for the best service . Thank you

Ray D

This is one of my familys'favourite filipino restaurant. The portions are big and definitely something that you share with 2 or 3 more people. I love the chicken and pork barbeques that they have. Big portions for only 3 bucks!

Steph B.

This is my go to place when I'm feeling homesick. It has great authentic Filipino food for a good price. The restaurant is in a small space and can get quite busy. You enter the restaurant through the Filipino grocery store. Make sure you talk to a server to ensure your name is on the wait list! I've seen a few people wait around only get to bumped by someone who has just walked in. Service is minimal. I find that most of the staff are young and are just learning how to serve. If you are in a rush, you need to be proactive to grab a server's attention to order or to get takeout boxes. Also, when you're ready to pay... Just head up to the front counter :) We spent too much time waiting for our check the first time we were there only to realize that they don't bring it to you. While La Meza is what I consider below service standards, everything else makes up for this! The food comes in large portions and is well priced. Every dish that I have tried there over the last 2 years has been delicious!! If you're unsure of what to order, try one of the sisigs... Your choice of protein will come sizzling on a hot plate with an egg. The serving size is large enough to share between two people if you order a side of rice (but no one does that because then you won't have leftovers to take home).

Job Reyes

This place is awful. We ordered food ahead of time for pick up and they told us the food should be ready by 3pm. As i paid they told me to wait "a few minutes" which i thought would be quick. I ended up waiting for an hour standing in front of the counter. Worst thing is customers kept coming in and they all had their orders ready (why wasnt mine?), even people eating in was being served right away as I waited. Ridiculous because I ordered so little too. Not a good experience at all..

Angela Elibaccus

It was good! Friendly service and good food.

Milan Garcia

Very good food and service! Have been here a few times and it is by far my favourite filipino place to eat at. In terms of flavour there is no other place that beats la meza.

Grocery on the half space....restaurant on the other half. Our favourite Filipino restaurant. Limited table around 10-12 tables only .

Paul S

Exquisite range of Filipino dishes

philip Pueblos

The restaurant smells nice as soon as you get it, just like our clothes, even we are back at home, it still smells like the restaurant..good that we go for a dinner and have no plans right after. I have ordered a few items and they were all good but nothing special. The pork sisig though was the worst sisig i have tried. Everything was over cooked, certainly way past crispy state. Its like nimbling pebbles. The fresh egg shouldnt touch the sizzling plate. It was charred already when I realized that there was a fresh egg under the pile of pork. Lots of room for betterment. There is only a handful of options, really wish they could take a second look at these areas. Soon.

Francis G

The best (if not, one of the best) places to get authentic Filipino food. My family, living in Vancouver, would always go all the way here to get their fix of Filipino food. Favorites are bangus sisig, chicken barbecue and pork liempo. But really everything is good here.

Patricia Carla Rimando Ibrahim

This place I ordered and then cancelled!

John KitKat Medalla

I love it..foods are in perfect taste.a little slow on the part of cook.

David Chow

Good food at decent prices. Restaurant is small but normally only busy during weekends for dinner. Lots of times though they don't have in stock a lot of listed drinks or desserts.

JD

The place was like half grocery and the other half a restaurant. I ordered the "TapSilog" out of the many dishes on their menu. I would say the dish was not the usual Tapsilog that I was used to. Then got me some of the frozen Sweet Longganisa from Pampanga which was awesomely delicious. I also tried the frozen dried herring or tuyo, but quite dismayed that the one I got wasn't the salty one. A good place to buy some Filipino or some Asian groceries and would probably try some other dishes they have in their menu.

Chris Abastilla

“They Forgot” was all a server could say when the chicken barbecue arrives 30 minutes after the fried rice arrived. Might I add after multiple times asking a server if the barbecue was on its way only to find no response unless you flag them down again. Food is good but service and experience is the ultimate downfall of my visit.

Jamie Gatus

Meat wasn't very tender enough. Tasted good tho

Dustin Nikko

Loved their BBQ Chicken, Sinigang and other food!! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves or wants to try Filipino food! They don’t take reservation so best to visit on weekdays or morning time. One of the best authentic Filipino restaurants in Lower Mainland! ????????

Allison Ehrlich

foods good and the ambiance is great

Kim Ysabel

Our go-to spot for Filipino food in Metro Vancouver! Clean space, fair pricing for the (good-sized) portions, and their lechon + tofu sisig is bomb lol

KOMALPREET, RHN.

Been here for the first time. Giving 2 stars because the food was okay. I had way better philipino food in Burnaby. If you are a localite and want to try something new then not a bad place. Little better taste and can increase the stars in feedback.

Hans Go

Price and portion is good but the quality and flavor could be better. Service is also quite bad, have to go to the front to get a menu and to make your order or you'll be waiting a long time at the table.

Roel Mendoza

Authentic Filipino cuisine

Mark Uy

Pricey compared to other Filipino restaurants, but worth it.

Row Dela Peña

Great food. Only down side is the place is small so wait times are longer. So we just order in advance for pick up.

Odet Dy

Food is good.

Natalia McGonigal

Best Philippino food in Delta !! Love their fried rice !! Great prices too ????????????

Steven Castaneto

Great food and service. My new favourite Filipino restaurant!

Have only gone to this resto only twice. First was about a year or so ago and our experience was not very good. The food and the service was not very good. Back then we thought to ourselves we will never go back here ever again. This second time around, we were with like four or five families, and majority decided to try out this resto coz they haven't gone here yet, so we thought why not give it another try. Though in fairness the food was satisfactory this time around and perhaps even the meal that we ordered was different from the first time. Service was also okay. But they have this weird rule that they only will split the bill up to two times max. So imagine our five families having the hassle to calculate amongst ourselves how much our meal was and have to pay each other just because this resto will not allow to split the bills more than twice. And that was extremely annoying! They are the first and only resto that I've seen do this! If ever the owner gets to read this feedback please change your rule about bill splitting as that's just absurd. We understand that your reason was because you want to speed up the payment processing for your customers but if it is at the expense of good customer service then you should think twice.

Hei Lab

Amount of food per serving has decreased, yet the price went up. Food taste is mostly good esp if you are craving Filipino food. We liked the Sisig, Salpicao, and Dinakdakan. We do not recommend the lumpiang Sariwa (not stuffed with vegies enough). Also not the Gambas bec for $14, you only get pcs of medium sized shrimps in a sizzling platter.

Carlos Velasco

Excellent filipino food in taste , selection and price. Lots of parking Very respectfull and happy employees

Peter Paul

Bbq chicken. Get it.

Peter Sampson

Nice flip meals for white guys...

Ispating ThomasSito

One-stop shop for Asian/Filipino food.

Michael Arevalo

Bad experience. Waitress did not know how to do simple math, She added the prices wrong and was charging us higher, we had to add it ourselves to get the correct amount. Food was bad. For example, their version of beef steak is putting gravy on boiled beef. No professionalism. We ordered for our party, the party size was overpriced, and when it is time to get it, they still haven't cooked it, they said would be ready in another hour or two. what????? Not recommended.

Robert Periquet

Good food !!!

Marilyn Manipon

Foods are excellent and friendly waitresses

Jennifer “Jen” Gumayagay-Sun

The food is really good when you want Filipino cuisine anytime during the week. However, be prepared to come out of the place smelling like food due to poor ventilation.

Patrice Clair

Small space but the service and food is well prepared and reasonably priced.I recommend the barbecue.

emmylou perry

Very professional. Food always yummy

Cesar C Castillo

Good Filipino foods.

Yuki Yuri

The best Filipino restaurant around...

Mario David

Authentic Filipino food. Nice and clean. Good food.

Joel Last

Ate there today. Service was friendly and good. I ordered their kare kare. Extremely good! Love the halo halo also.

El D

Good food!

Stephanie A

Way better than the competitors in the neighbourhood! I don't usually go out for Filipino food (cause it's usually over priced and my mom is such an amazing Filipino cook) but I was raving about LA Meza Grill to my parents, telling them that we need to go! Service is fast and the servings are surprisingly generous! I was beyond shocked at how big the bbq chicken skewer was! The only downfall was not having enough menus so my fiance and I had to wait for a menu! Other than that, food is amazing...!

Mari Sam

Have been going here for years! Food can be oily at times but majority of my orders have been scrumptuous. Price and serving are both decent. Would be nice if staff were friendlier over the phone. It is connected to a Filipino store so its a bonus I can grab my Filipino goodies on the way out. Ample parking.

Wally Burger

This is a great authentic Filipino restaurant with delicious food and great service. My favourite is the BBQ chicken/pork but there are so many tasty dishes. I love the store attached and is very convenient

Cristina James

Has a Filipino convenience store next door

Patrick

Cozy little place. Very good food, the fresh lumpia was the biggest I've ever had and was delicious. The service was good and it's reasonably priced. This is definitely the best Filipino restaurant I've been to in either Delta or Richmond. I'll bring my family back here again.

Eugene Quinto

Very Good

Loy Acapulco

Good filipino foods and decent portion too.☺

Jm Chan

very fast service and has lots of filipino food to choose from. price is very affordable.???? highly recommended if you're craving for hometown dishes and you're at Surrey

Michelle Appiah

Food was great! The best barbecue I have ever tasted in my life. Truly an authentic filipino experience for everyone to try. From the desserts to the main dishes, food was delicious and the service was great!

Kath Linag

We used to enjoy coming here, but all of a sudden the old servers were gone and the new ones seemed as if they don't want to deal with anyone. The previous servers were so accommodating, they knew how to entertain us while waiting, and made sure they were communicating with us and as well as the other staffs to ensure we're seated ASAP. The servers now seemed like they do not care, they don't even know how to communicate in a nice way. Very disappointing. They should bring back the old servers. I remember this one girl with short hair, she accommodated us while we were still waiting offered us water and also the menus, ensured that she is making sure the next open table would be for us and she was very calm, and friendly. There was also this other girl with glasses, kept us entertained and made sure we were having a good time while eating. Disappointing! Good food but very poor service.

Uri Will

Too expensive! Waitresses are very snubish!

joseph lubong

Soo good.. reasonabke prices...

Joel Stephen Arabe

Got the best pork sisig. Love it.

len anglopez

Love the food and the staff but they have a small dine in.

babita dahyabhai

Really good food. My first time here so we ordered a bunch of things. Ordered chicken adobo beef with onions, spring rolls(delicious)bbq chicken and pork skewers(omg soo good),Pancit noodles(yummy)and chop soy veggies were really good to. Will be coming back here again for sure.

Faith Mok

Good eats and fair prices.

earl cipriano

Great people great food! A must try!

Mary

Ordered inihaw na liempo but got this instead. No grilling at all. Very disappointed. The meat was just exactly turned pink and was out of the grill.

Fernando Fuentes

Authentic and delicious filipino food. My lola lover every dish we got. I recommend the dinuguan and their lechon sarsa is much better than mang thomas!

jackson ko

Food can be very good or average depending on what you ordered. My problem is 2 of their staffs don't have mask in time of covid-19. Maybe not mandatory in BC but in this pandemic time, I like people preparing my food to wear mask.

Rebecca Gutierrez

Always love eating here! Food is always excellent but service could definitely be better!

Nina Caranto

Good place to go if u prefer authentic Filipino food cooked from scratch. Grocery store next door with plenty of Filipino products, frozen goods, snacks and miscellaneous items.Lots of parking too.

J GM

food is cooked fresh and not the usual filipino turo--turo.

Trena Bennett

So impressed by this little hole in the wall place. The food was delicious. Served hot and plentiful.

vergelio Dedios

Before are good food, now is bad....

JMR

The food is delicious buy sadly its only take out at the moment. A filipino food store is connected to it which is very convenient.

Djdj djdjdndjd

My bicol express took at least an hour for them to serve it, and when i got it, the pork was very cold. It felt like it was old. Nasty

John Yray

Good food. Good service. :)

DLH

Small restaurant with a Filipino market attached (Season's Market). Went for an early dinner on a week night but weekends can be very busy with only 8 tables. One area can accommodate a large party such as tonight 11 people were seated. Very good food, inexpensive prices and decent sized portions are why it is popular. Service is casual and when busy, can be spotty. Situated in a strip mall with lots of free parking. Recommend over other Filipino restaurants in the area.

Trinidy Hall

Great breakfast.

Merryl R

Great food selection, clean and tasty. I'm becoming a regular

Bealouie

The people and cashiers are not friendly.

Bernie Samson

Good Filipino Food

ESTER Martin

Food is good, costumer service can be a bit better. Place is a bit small so there's always a line up

Kevin Douglas

The best little Filipino restaurant and grocery in Surrey / North Delta. Great menu and quick service.

Dennis

Our family took us here for the first time and we are very impressed with our experience. The bbq was fantastic! The kare kare was perfectly done and had real oxtail, most of the pilipino restaurant we have tried does not use oxtail they use stewing meat. The sinigang had plenty of vegetables which was plenty to go around for 3 adults and a child, but what I really really like the most is the steam rice we ordered was served in a medium size bowl. There is nothing more annoying than when you order rice and the takal system is how it's served. I'm not a child or in jail. Good job La Meza.! We're definitely coming back. It's worth the drive from Coquitlam.

Micheal Nguyen

Food here is good. Items of menu priced cheaper compared to most Filipino restaurants in Surrey/Delta. Great customer service and atmosphere. Kare kare could use a bit more peanut sauce as it was a little lacking in taste. Overall great quality food would recommended to anyone looking to try authentic Filipino food in delta area.

Anon

Bad service. Waitress was rude. Long wait time to get a table

Richard Kügler

Great philippino food.

Roberto malundo

Great delicious foods, service, ambiance and fair price. The service crews are well mannered & polite ????. Cheers!

Keenan Cristobal

Josh is a super cool guy

Grace Laxamana

We came in the waiter told us that 15-20 minutes. 45 minutes later we're still waiting and after another 20 minutes that''s the only time we got helped. Not very impressed. Will not recommend.

bmsurrey

Great food.

Teddy Espiritu

Great Filipino Cuisine in the area. Servers are polite including the owner of the restaurant.

Lourdes ricafort

I ordered thru uber eats. It’s not properly packed. Please improve!

Andrew Burgos

Hands down the only filipino restaurant in Surrey that can get filipino food right. I always order their pork sisig, and boy it takes me back home. Wish they add pork cracklings though and make it more spicy.

Jocelyn Paule

Good food, big serving, good prize

Athens A

We ordered 4 of Tapsilog through delivery. And we all had a very hard time chewing it. The beef was so tough and dry. I know most tapa are tough, but this was on another level. Maybe I won't order this through delivery again. I didn't give 1 star cause the garlic rice was good.

MJ Amador

Good food, terrible customer service. As a Filipino Restaurant, I expected good service, but the workers seemed to be overwhelmed even by a small restaurant. Coming in and taking our seats, we weren't served water right away, which already gave me an inconsistent impression. Even more so, we had waited for a long time and being able to serve water right away would really add to customer satisfaction. The workers were inattentive of their work as servers. Even in a busy atmosphere, their pace were still slow and casual. I recommend the servers to simply work according to the atmosphere and go around the tables once in a while and ask their customers, "How are you all doing? Is there anything I can get for you (like water)?

Adrian Torino

If you're wanting to try and/or craving Filipino food, this is a great spot. They've got a lot of authentic filipino cuisine in their selection and I've not had a bad experience yet. My favs have been the silogs and sizzling plates and when we went last week we had the long silog, beef silog, kare kare, chicken inasal, bangus sisig and some kwek kwek. The silog is a filipino breakfast plate with long silog being a sausage, egg and fried rice and beef silog being corned beef, egg and fried rice. Can't go wrong with these. Always delicious and makes me think of the food back home Chicken inasal is a grilled chicken dish with a nice lemon base. The chicken was really tender and had a ton of flavor. Awesome dish and taste very authentic. Kare kare is always great as well. This is a oxtail stew in a peanut based broth with some veggies. Broth was rich and the beef was so very tender. Kare kare with rich is up there with being one of the besh dishes. Not a lot of places have kwek-kwek (deep-fried battered quail eggs) and that was a treat. Only thing missing here was the sauce. I think they may have just forgot. Quail eggs were perfectly cooked and the batter was nice and crispy even after we got home. I just wish they open up for dine in already!

Art Cordero

This place never disappoints us. Best Filipino food in Vancouver and good service every time.

B M

Great tasting, good price good portions.

Marco Bejasa

Good portions. Fairly priced for a Filipino restaurant. There's always a wait time. Friendly service but not accurate. They often forget stuff considering its a small place

Kenneth Lewis

Staff was very friendly the portions were huge and very reasonable priced. Good place to go if your looking for excellent Philippine food.

Christian Alexander

Their BBQ skewers are really tasty, would recommend trying one if you aren’t sure what to order

Pretty Chond

Food Quality has suffered!! Not going back again. We were disappointed

tonette Fineza

Fresh lumpia is really good!!

Clyde Caballero

Great service, great food, good serving for price.

K P

La Meza Grill is my favourite and go-to Filipino restaurant in the area. I especially enjoy their BBQ pork skewer. It is flavourful and very meaty. My husband enjoys their sisig. They currently aren't offering dine in at the moment but you can call in and order for pick up or you can also find them on food delivery apps.

Ryan Yapyuco

Good Food, Good Service, Good Price....what more can you ask for?

Angelita Pua

The palabok took almost half an hour to be served. The pork BBQ was dry and meat was tough. The garlic fried rice was a mix of white rice and fried rice which is weird. I will not go back.

Angelica Gapaz

It's an ok place to dine in but horrible place to order party trays!!!! They try to be sooo cheap in their ingredients and the portion is not generous and the the foods are not good at all!!! Is it better to order in a single order to see they put enough at least ingredients??? They try to cheat on a big orders!!! Try to use foils to cover party trays so you guys can put more food in it!!! Wasted money on this restaurant but never again!!! CHEATER!!!

Alan Francisco

Good delicious Filipino food, nice place but too small.

polly shao

I have been there at least five times already and I've never had anything negative to say. However, I had to put a review about this experience because we found a metal scrap in our pork sisig and didn't get a satisfactory response. The waitress simply apologized with an attitude and left without informing the kitchen or the manager. This is not just for customers that visit here but also to others who eat out frequently. Be careful of what you eat.

Nino D

Horrible customer service. Ordered a single dish takeout at this place on Xmas eve. Called the store and both parties agreed to have the food ready to be picked up at 5 PM. Got there and waited an additional 45 minutes outside, along with about 40 people. Others have been waiting since 4 PM! No apologies. Not a single “hey sorry about the long wait”. Other people that received their food were missing parts of their order. Really unprofessional I understand that it’s Xmas Eve and it’s busier time. But if you can’t meet the demand, then stop accepting orders. Greedy establishment. You can’t treat your customers this way. This was the last time we’re ordering from this place. I’m sure it will be the last for many others. And the worst part was the food was terrible. Super greasy spring rolls. Yeah, no thanks.

Benny Arias

Lots of Filipino product.

Golden Clap

Had Easter Sunday dinner with the family and brought in Asian guests who haven't tried Filipino food yet. We ordered lumpiang sariwa, pork sisig, crispy pata, kare kare, laing and of course, garlic rice. The kare kare and crispy pasta were very tasty. Our guests liked the sisig. The big let down was the laing. Our guests said it tasted like herbal tea from China! I couldn't agree more. It was far from the laing we always serve at home. The leaves seemed like it was just chopped and there was barely coconut milk. We were just pressed for time to have it redone. Portion sizes are okay. The servers are courteous.

Aubree M

Very poor service and the waiting time was extremely long. The BBQ was burnt and our soup came last. We had to wait for about an hour for the soup when it’s usually one of the first ones that need to be served. My mom had to ask for a spoon for her dessert because they didn’t give her one and she had to wait for 20 minutes. She even asked two other servers since our server never got back to us until later.

Jay Lang

I still believe this place doesn't get the credit it deserves. Food here is reasonably priced and portioned well. It's also one of the best tasting filipino food in the city. Their crispy chicken and garlic fried rice is a must try! Keep up the good work!

Sheri Logan

We ordered a bunch of lumpia and empanadas for our house warming. Everyone loved it! Delicious and easy we will be back. Thanks!

melody mercado

I ordered a large party tray of their palabok during Saturday Pacquiao night and was so DISAPPOINTED because there was hardly any sauce on the noodles - it was just enough that it was colored. And the toppings - it only had slices of egg and a few pieces of chicharon, could hardly see the meat even. No greens and I think it was only one piece of egg was sliced up to put on top. Had I known that I will get this type of food, I should have cooked it myself - if only I had the time to do it! This is the price I get for assuming that my money wasl worth the food that I ordered. Do not order party trays from them anymore.

Jun San Jose

Food is good. But service is bad. They are understaffed. They need a better exhaust system as you come out smelling like a mixture of overcooked meals. I,think they should invest in a strong ventilation system and place commercial grade air freshners.

Billy Ray Stumpkin

Really good food here

haymen l

Been there a few times and tried to order new things every time, and never got disappointed.

Wendy Talbot

Everything is processed and packaged, very little fresh products.

Chris Corpuz

always on my list, especially their SISIG????????????

Cesar Rualo

one of the bettet Filipino restaurants in Surrey Delta

Maria Swalehe

Love this restaurant. They serve with a smile and the food is great. My favorites are the huge fresh lumpia, mixed pancit, barbecue chicken, empanada, and the Beef sinigang.

aroma hope

Great food! Pleasant waiters. Could do more work on ambience though

aq nga

We usually dine here because we like the service, food value and portions but was disappointed yesterday (thursday afternoon) because food quality was far below than usual. Thinking twice now if are still going here for my birthday celebration few weeks from now.

J Mac

Food is superb! Staff are really nice. The place is just too small for the crowd that goes there. Conveniently located inside a Filipino store where one can do some shopping of filipino food. ????

James Linley

It should have been the best place to taste authentic Filipino food. That was the expectation. However, I was disappointed. The beef sinigang I ordered was too salty. The sour taste was overwhelmed by the saltiness of the broth. Also, the fresh lumpia is a thing to reconsider. The wrapper doesn't taste like the traditional egg lumpia wrapper every good cook will use to make a fresh lumpia. The sauce is too sweet. Also the tuna belly was overcooked. A good cook won't let this tasty dish to overcook as this would remove the taste of the dish. They should make a quick overhaul of how they cook Filipino dishes else they will lose savy customers.

Lambert Pajayon

Ordered a party tray Cebu style lechon for my birthday and it was amazing! So crispy and filling... Everybody loved it, I wish I got 2

Edgar Gagajena

Great filipino food!

g pen

Good food for a reasonable price. The tuna panga & tuna belly had always been out of order from my last three visits. The sisig isn't good, taste and the smell is weird. Staff are approachable and majority of the food are good on the scale of 6-7.5, out of 10.

Grace Cortes

My favourite Filipino restaurant in BC!! The food is amazing

John Keung

a basic ordinary eatery; nothing to be overly excited about; i shall try other dishes the next time to see if an upgrade is justified;

Chanzo Muema

The food was fantastic - I never felt like I was waiting for the waiter. Food came out in record time and the staff were friendly and informative.

Sony Obregon

My son like their BBQ pork and chicken. I like their ukoy..update: was disappointed that the order we had phoned in the day before was not cooked when we got there. Still had to wait. And to make matters worse, the lumpia sauce was watered down and did not taste good.

Edouin Eguia

Good and fairly priced food. Open but no dine in for now.

Mavicon Victoria

I did not enjoy the food.

Elizabeth Cloma

As always, excellent food and service. Too bad not close enough to us otherwise would have been our weekly family go to place.

W G

Good food!

C C

So I'm unsure how to rate this place. I went to the store that's attached and i feel as if they charged me over double for a particular item because I am not Filipino and dont understand the language. Before when I had ordered things from la Meza.. and my friend ordered the same dish..our take aways were very different. I'm not sure what's going on here but i feel like it's because I dont understand the language ... so I'm very suspicious at this point of going back here.

Maila Valdes

Good food

em erald

"Misunderstanding" is the only reason they can give me with regards to an order. After my first call of confirmation that I can order through the phone and pay using my visa beforehand while someone else will come to get the food, they took back their word and said that they do not accept payments by phone. The order has been set up and was supposed to be a present. I had to call the family member to go to a different restaurant that has the capabilities of catering to my need truthfully. It was not an issue of not wanting to pay but of who's paying the bill? A present shouldn't be any other way around. That was very frustrating and the treatment I received was very disappointing.

kirk pank

Small place. Servers no energy and shy, food is OK, I have had better filipino food, but I'll try again one day.
