I called them looking for a particular phone. They said that they had it in stock, but were closing soon. So I sped there, and got there with in 5 minutes. Getting there I waited about 10 minutes before the guy decided to tell me that they only had one left and it was on hold for someone?!! I don't know why he didn't tell me that when I spoke to him on the phone (I actually spoke with him twice on the phone), or when I was waiting in there for 10 minutes (he knew who I was when I was waiting there). Super unimpressed!

This is specifically for Telus, not for the people in this shop. I live about 1 mile west of downtown Courtenay, and I get 1 bar at most, and many dropped calls. Pik TV is buggy, service outages are numerous. I've had to call support three times in two weeks to get my account functioning. It's still not working. Don't walk, RUN from Telus.

I want to praise Brinda for turning around an awful experience I had with with Telus. I have been with Telus for over 20 years using all their services. I will not get into details but I have had reoccurring problems with Telus the last 5 years. it's people like Brinda who are the only reason I stay with the Telus Open Connection service. I would like to state that I'm very happy with the technical service I have received at the Courtenay Open Connection location by Brittany concerning issues related to my Samsung S7 phone. We established a Telus account and corrected passwords. We also created an Apple ID for myself on my iPad that I purchased in store along with my phone. Also, I can recall other times when I've received courteous and efficient assistance with my account. I have been a Telus client since 1984! Thank you and I look forward to future business. I believe that Brittany should receive some form of reward or acknowledgement for her service. And this is a novel idea but if one person does something extraordinary, then all employees should be commended as well as no one person can accomplish anything alone in the service industry.

Came in tonight with locked android phone I had long forgotten the password for and which I wanted to assign to my husband. Chelsea Bell was prompt to serve us and incredibly helpful. She got the phone unlocked and transferred the SIM card from hubby’s old phone to unlocked android in no time flat. All at no charge and served with a smile ???? This person is a wonderful asset to Telus and we will certainly return and recommend. I am a technological dinosaur ???? so don’t have much knowledge about cell phones and she made it so easy and painless. Deserves a big raise and a promotion for sure!

I booked an appointment with the store manager for one of their free information sessions after buying my phone there. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told that she wasn't there and had to go to another appointment! She never told anyone else in the store why she left or that she had an appointment with me and to apologize for having to leave - nothing. The girl I spoke to wasn't one bit concerned about the situation, and acted as if she didn't even want to be there. The person I booked the appointment with left me a voicemail later that day to apologize, but didn't even give a reason why she did that to me. I will never go into that store again.

Bought a phone at open connection and found the same phone $100.00 cheaper two days later at the superstore mobile shop. Open connection charged me a $50.00 service fee which they didn’t refund me. The mobile shop didn’t charge me a service fee. So guess where I’m buying my next phone. Also they weren’t happy about me returning the phone. After all, they have a 14 day return policy, it was my right to return it if I wanted.

Oh I just had the absolute best of the best customer service from the darling Marrissa, she was so knowledgeable, kind and patient. I've bought many cell phones and tablets, and I absolutely despise trying to deal with the different branches , and I really didn't want to go but had no choice since I dropped my brand new cell in the fish tank, wonder if the fish got good reception haha, anyways I recommend Marrissa to my family and friends and thank goodness there's kind friendly clear English speaking people like her around....you go girl!!!

I’ve had two very unsatisfying dealings with Chelsea. I lost hundreds of dollars when she sold me a Telus internet hub in 2018 saying it was high speed. When I had poor connection and contacted Telus they told me I never should’ve been sold the hub as it did not cover my area. I spent months fighting them to get out of my contract, all the while paying $150/month for “high speed” internet that did not work at all. Against my better judgment I returned to open connection September 2019 to upgrade my phone. I purchased a google pixel from Chelsea and it did not function as advertised, after fighting with google for the last 3 weeks I am now paying $400 to replace the brand new phone I bought. On a happier note Matthew was wonderful to deal with and I appreciate his help during this entire ordeal. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way to go with my gut and never return to open connection to purchase another product.

A misleading company. Spoke to a staff person late Saturday before closing about picking up an iphone on Monday. Was informed they had several in stock and would hold one for pickup on Monday. On arrival I was told they had none of the product I had arranged for and nothing held for me. Staff appeared unconcerned and certainly not apologetic. Don't trust what they tell you.
