Would I go back maybe but first impression was not good! My ceasar salad started was absolutely awful. I don't know what dressing they are using but the taste is brutal! The side of rice that was coming with my meal was not good either. On the plus side my server was very professional to deal with those issues. Obviously it's a chains restaurant so if you are looking for fresh local food that place is not for you! Drinks menu is large so you will find something to please everyone.

I took a look at the menu and at no point did I say to myself "look authentic Irish food"... I came here hoping to enjoy authentic Irish and instead found myself looking at every other culture but mine. Asian food and Mexican food IS NOT IRISH!! Even the so called Irish food on the menu was questionable. I feel like all they did was take a dump on a plate and gave it an Irish name. Definitely not recommending this place to anyone looking for Irish food or food with flavor because it was pretty bland.

Been there many times usually good but tonite was exceptional. The service from Bridgette was excellent, the food was just as ordered and the bar tender apologized for not having the beer I requested, brought me a sample of what he could offer me. All in all a great experience.

Terrible Experience. First off they wouldn't honour happy hour even though it was still before the end of it. Second, they completely forgot 1/3 of the meals we ordered and we had to ask another server to even check on it. Third, we found a hair in 1/2 meals that did show up and multiple hairs in one of our drinks. Overall experience was terrible and completely ruined my history with awesome Kelly O'Bryan's I've been to in the past. Will not recommended to anyone and will not return.

Came here for the first time since it opened, place was clean and open, need better window shades as half our party was blinded by light coming in the entire time, ordered the steak sandwhich which was pretty underwhelming in terms of taste and the caesar salad was poor. My wife seemed to enjoy her chicken burger however and my daughters chicken strips were tasty enough. Service was average, not good not great. Would I come here again? Unsure

Surprisingly good. We were a little disappointed with our drinks. Long island ice tea was in a short glass and we couldn't taste the alcohol at all. My peach margarita came in a short glass as well and was meh so we were concerned about how the food would be. However, the beef dip and broccoli soup was very good and so was the chicken quesadillas and caesar salad. Wait staff were very friendly and efficient.

Very long wait to get drink service, long wait for food (granted, it was a busy night). I had ordered a whiskey sour and it was not what I ordered - it tasted like whiskey and lime Gatorade. I wish they had said they couldn't make it properly rather than serve me what they did. Food was pretty good. All in all, if you're just looking for a few drinks, super loud music and pub food, then you're good to go. The decor was nice but the music didn't match the feel. It almost feels like they have two different types of clientele they are trying to cater for, and it just doesn't work.

walked in tonight at 6:30, came from Nanaimo. im underage so i cannot drink. got sat with my friends in the family portion. my friend, who is of age, ordered an alcoholic drink; and received a double without being asked. she didn’t want a double. the server asked me for id, didn’t even read it, and told me to go to Carlos’ in Nanaimo tomorrow as it is my birthday then. i am not turning 19 tomorrow. upon asking for a single, the server was snippy towards us, and walked away. spent five minutes without a drink. at the end, our server proceeded to tell us about how she used to smoke weed and get high with her boyfriend and walk around Walmart for hours. super unprofessional imo, won’t be back anytime soon.

The staff were very nice and the food was tasty/hot enough BUT crazy prices. We ordered the Extreme Patchos (natcho toppings on waffle fries) thinking we'd share between 2 of us. For 16.50 any other natchos would be more than enough but this really was just for one person. So, we ordered just a plate of the waffle fries to augment the Patchos and the fries alone were another 11.00 no toppings, just ketchup. I usually get natchos when we go out to this kind of restaurant and, for close to the same price, end up taking half home. And fries?? Other than drinks, fries must be the cheapest thing you can get anywhere (Whitespot is bottomless). Again.. tasty, nice service but expensive. Side note: They have, I think, $30 towards your meal if it's your birthday.

Hello had the Prime rib 12 oz for our anniverisary with desert. Was very good ordered medium rare was a alittle more on rare side ok I can handle that. Desert Was 10 star. It was Choclate icecream oreo mixture. Forget name but was amazing. York shire pudding great mushroom great fries good. Would Use a BROWN take out bag instead of the cheap plastic stuff. A note saying happy anniverisary would be nice next time.

Won’t be back, waitress said she couldn’t bring us water with our beer because they ran out of glasses, forgot what I ordered and food was terrible. It was obvious that she didn’t want to be there, it was like being served food by a moody 16 year old who was actually a 20 year old adult...definitely not worthy of a tip but I guess with our culture people just expect one regardless of if they deserve it. Also the menu had hardly any irish food, Mexican sure, but sashimi? Who goes to an irish pub and orders asian food... I have been there twice and never finish my plate because the food is gross. Never again. Don’t waste your money here!!

Had a visit on Sunday afternoon at 3 pm. The start of the visit we were well attended to... drinks and food arrived promptly. Two of three food items delivered to the table were almost inedible due to over salting. Normally this shouldn't be an issue but the wait staff vanished and we couldn't get the food returned. They did give us a coupon for a free appitizer next visit. Then the staff put us onto ignore mode again and we waited forever for a bill. While I contemplated just walking out to make a point, I did go to the bar to settle the tab. Yup, the staff were busy but that should be a managers issue not mine.

Eating in the restaurant is usually pretty good, but the “skip the dishes” orders aren’t even cooked... spent $50 for pachos family size and the cheese wasn’t even melted. When I phoned them they told me it was supposed to be that way for to go orders. If they can’t cook, what are we paying them for. Last time I do a skip order, but may consider trying them again In restaurant.

I appreciate the fact that this is a franchise restaurant and pub and they have two excellent local craft brews on tap. Would like to see a few more as there is some world class beer here in the valley. Service here was really great even though they was a steady line and wait list. Food was what you expected and didn't disappoint. Prices seemed a tad high. I'll be back for that Pacho sauce... I wanted to dip EVERYTHING in it!!

From the minute we walked in we could sense slight chaos. Four groups waiting to be seated and no real waiting area just a spot blocking the door. The host was friendly and apologetic for the wait, we did not make reservations so it was not their fault they were busy. The table we sat at was cramped and poorly placed. I had the House cut Prime Rib, after hearing how good it was, I was disappointed. The others said the same all expressing they expected more. We will give it another try but I had my hopes set high and was very disappointed.

She had fish & chips and I had beef dip and fries. We both agreed that the fries weren't great although they looked good. She said the fish was so good she ate too much...lol. My beef dip was the best beef dip I've had in years... the beef was very tender with NO FAT and the bun was superb ! We will return but next time maybe a baked potato or rice. TRY THE BEEF DIP !!! The staff were friendly ... and cute. P. S. The best fries are cooked in 100% pure lard.

Pub style food. They have a happy hour starting at 2pm. They have a very large beverage selection of beers, craft cocktails and tons of shooters. Crowd is not too loud or rowdy. Maybe before but with covid it's been a bit of a quieter place. They have a pub side and dining side however they are basically the same thing just less tvs. And kids are allowed on the dinning side.

We had a very bad experience. Our appetizer came out cold. Then we waited a long time for our burgers and on my first bite the tasted like charcoal . The patties were burnt to a crisp. We took them back and waited and waited.... Finally... and still were burnt on the edges. This whole poor experience took 2 hours and 10 minutes. We won't be back.

ORDER THE PACHOS!! Kelly O's is a great place to eat if you have a group of fun people to share the meal with. They're friendly, spacious, open late, and reasonably priced. There's hardly ever a wait to be seated, and the booths are comfy and private. (Order the pachos, they're delicious I promise)

Stopped in on way up island, figured it would be a good choice. We were very hungry. We ordered 4 appetizers. Literally the most rubbery calamari ever been served. The stuffed mushrooms weren't much better. Both my wife and I agreed as we turned left on cliff northbound that when we passed the a&w that a burger there would have been better. We were charged $66 for food that I wouldn't serve a guest.i asked for more drinks several times, nothing. If you are in the same situation, looking for good food on route, consider somewhere else.

What a joke. Some of the worst service I've had in a really long time. It took twenty minutes for us to get a drink and food order after being seated. With our drink order we asked for water. After the third time asking for water I went up to the bar and asked for it again. It still didn't come. I felt ignored the entire time I was there. The food was good but ridiculously over priced. Went there with 2 adults one child, ordered 4 spots to share which is always enough food when we go to other places. The portions were beyond small, the prices are very high. Cost 60 bucks for the items and still had to stop somewhere on the way home cause we were all still hungry

Very friendly welcoming service! Nice comfortable atmosphere. Food—tuna tataki appetizer, Gaelic salad, Guinness burger. Tuna appetizer super tasty and fresh but very small—not big enough to share and would have liked more wonton crisps (only 4) and greens should have been dressed. I also think it was WAY overpriced at $15. Gaelic salad was very fresh but very boring—95% lettuce, 1 tsp grated carrot, 1/8 of a tomato slice (very mushy) and one thin slice of cucumber...teeny container of dressing. Not sure why its Gaelic...just a very basic diner salad for $10. Guinness burger was excellent—fresh, great sauce—but the fries were bland and only a tiny container of ketchup—also very pricey at $20. Drinks were good but they are supposed to be bottomless and they didnt get refilled. Go at Happy Hour 3-5 pm I think and appys and burgers are cheaper. Just a few glitches and very pricey but overall a very good experience and we will be back :)

We went for lunch today and unfortunately we were disappointed. The service was great...friendly, pleasant. But the food was expensive and not great! I don't think we'll return. The side garden salad was a plate of plain lettuce, dry, no tomatoes, cucumbers...nothing. I asked for my left over flatbread "to go"...the server didn't come back with it. No loss, wasn't good. It's a shame but it is not a draw for us.

My fiancée and I were VERY displeased with the service here. We waited 5-10 minutes just to get seated when it was completely dead, waited another 5-10 minutes just for our drinks and then waited 20 minutes as we watched our server walk past us and look at our table with our menus CLOSED. We walked out and went to Browns Socialhouse, always an amazing experience there.

One star because they deserve a 2 but their current rating needs to be brought down. Food ho-hum for the inflated price. No sauce or dippings or offer of ketchup or salt or pepper on the table. Short a set of forks and knives, and no glasses of water without expressly asking. No mid meal query on how the meal was or opportunity to ask for the ketchup etc... An Irish pub where the waitress couldn't answer a simple question about Guinness. Went once, spent too much for the meal and service, won't be going again.

Went with a buddy to watch NHL. Game was on, place was empty. We ordered beers, then found our glasses empty while server was on her smart phone. Finally went to the bar to get our own beers. Ordered appetizers, when they arrived, we didn't get side plates or utensils. Once again, could not find server, went to server station and got my own. Food was ok. We had about 5 Guinness pints each and had to get at least 2 from bartender as there was no server to be found. Other 3 we had to actively get servers' attention. Place really needs a manager on duty to keep servers on the job. Won't go back. Many options in the Valley.

The food was decent, but the prices were out of this world. $18 for a burger and fries - should be the best burger I have ever eaten in my life - it was good, but just good. Maybe worth $14. Maybe. My son had the kids meal cheeseburger. They were two of the smallest sliders I have ever seen. He is 7, and was starving after eating everything on his plate. That was $7.95 if I remember correctly. The bad part here is that the kids meal was WAY too small for him, but an adult burger would be WAY too big. Perhaps make the kids sliders bigger, or put an extra one or two on the plate. Kids burger mean is really worth about $4 tops if you ask me. Ordered a beer. A sleeve at the price of a pint. The waitress has a poor understanding of the menu, but I don't hold that against them as the place is quite new so it is acceptable. She was very friendly, as was all the staff we encountered. Honestly though, at these prices I will not be back.

Had dinner today, my wife's burger wasn't bad but the "grilled" chicken was super dry and tasted burnt. Had maybe 3 bites left it alone, told waitress about problem hoping management would makes things right, no such luck. We will never be back. No way to run a business. On a positive note , our server was pleasant and a little saucy.

The food was decent and pretty pricey , but the pachos were really good, and most of the staff were very friendly. .. we were wondering why a family restaurant had young women strutting around with tiny little skirts on which gives you a mix of way too sexy and family?? doesn't really mix... they are so short you can pretty much see their underwear, they weren't that small last visit. Please bring back the longer ones so all family members can feel comfortable or make it a pub and for adult only eyes. If you want to go there to check out women so be it. If you want a family friendly place i'd go elsewhere

Terrible service from the time I arrived till I left. I came in during the happy hour time. I was seated promptly, placed @ the bar. Bartender got me a beer, which was sort of cold. I had to ask what the happy hour special were. I waited a good long while for someone to take my food order. When the food arrived ( chicken quesadillas & waffle fries ) I started eating the fries, bloody cold. Quesadillas were mediocre. At the start of eating, no staff came by to ask how the food is, nothing. Long after I finished, leaving the uneaten fries on the plate, again no staff asked to take my dishes away. I complained to the bartender about the state of the fries. He didn't care. I wasn't offered another serving of food to make up for the poor quality of my order or a small credit towards the bill. This place is a bloody joke. Don't bother coming here. Oh! Don't be fooled about the waitresses in short skirts, it still doesn't make up for the restaurant's short comings. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Definitely worth it to come here for Happy Hour. The food was really good and quick and the deals on the burgers and drafts during said Happy Hour are too good to pass up. Got the Guiness Beef Burger with some funky waffle looking lattice fries. This was definitely the best burger I've had in awhile, especially in terms of pub food. We had this after finishing a trade show in the area and it was definitely a great way to enjoy and relax for the rest of the day. I'm afraid I'm about to go into a food coma because of it. Too Long - Didn't Read: go here during their happy hour 2-6 and have a Guiness burger and a pint;!

New neighborhood pub with good staff and great selection of food and drink. Had the shamrock burger and a pint of beer for about 20$. Delicious double patty hamburger with crosscut french fries. Good size portions in a fresh new open space with a center bar and lots of sports on the TV. Great new addition to Courtenay in a good location with lots of free parking.

Great place!! Glad to finally see someone take over the building. Pub Side: Staff is friendly and service is fast. Atmosphere is relaxing but also to have a good time. Music isn't too loud so you don't have to scream but just enough to hear great songs. Appy's that we had were amazing and great price for volume. Haven't tried Restaurant side but looking forward to it!
