Staff are very helpful, always know where something is and can answer your questions throughly about products. I recently have gone back to being gluten free and I had questions about certain products and how they tasted, etc, and the young women helping me was amazing! Great selection of GF, vegan, vegetarian, and dairy free options and not too bad of prices. Some things I won't get due to price, but I understand these select options can be more costly. Returning as a customer through covid I have felt very safe and welcomed every time I am in the store. :)

Organic, earth friendly, cruelty free products. Staff are really helpful, I wanted a product that was sold out, they took my name and number and said they would hold one for me when the shipment came in. They did! Definitely going the extra mile for customers!

A good amount of selection, though quite pricy compared to similar stores in other communities-- even more remote communities like Powell River which has a couple shops similar to Edible Island. It's the only place locally that sells a good amount of the natural products I use, so I'm sort of bound to shop here. That being said, the cashiers are friendly and helpful. the only real problem I have is the prices.

Recently commented on one of their social media posts about the safety surrounding the use activated charcoal and recommended that those interested ask their doctors first if it is appropriate to use (eg. it can interact with medications such as birth control and make it ineffective). They deleted my benign comment interested only in consumer safety, and then barred me from commenting on any other post. I am very disappointed in this interaction, and I don't think I will return because of this :(

This edible island has a wide selection of health things. I question the validity of some the items they carry. The items that they carry though are high quality at a not overvalued price. The capsules here are the thing I usually pick up when I go to this location. Very friendly staff, always clean, always smells like you'd imagine it would.

Really great place to find niche health food products, but the biggest draw is the produce. No one has fresh vegetables like Edible Island, puts the big chains to shame. It's a small grocer so they're not competitive on plant milk prices, but they sell all kinds of great stuff like very good butchers products, and a bunch of vegan cheese, and excellent gluten free bread options.

This store has an excellent selection for everything, but their staff isn't always as knowledgeable as I'd like and can sometimes give advice based on assumptions, instead of having and referring to an herbal medicine book. They have a fantastic selection of beauty products and I always find myself buying whatever's on sale to stock up on deodorant and the like. I always try to come here when I'm in town!

The staff at Edible Island Whole Foods are knowable about the products they sell. It is a pleasant experience to shop there. I was concerned about it being the only health food store in the Courtenay/Comox area, that a lack of competition would make the store complacent. Recommending this store is relatively easy, the staff ask if you found what you wanted and if not there is a pen at hand to write an order.

I used to shop here frequently but the long waiting outside and draconian rules and lack of being treated as a human and not just a disease carrying animal has made me switch to well.ca and swanson vitamins, Thriftys and Amazon. Customer service is a thing of the precovid past.

I will never shop here again after the experience I had with them yesterday! I prefer to give my money to places that respect their customers and don't harass them. Especially when I'm spending $25 on TWO items! I'll take my business to Thriftys from now on. I find it unfortunate that a business who's whole premise is eating healthy and organic, taking high quality vitamins, and avoiding toxins like fluoride in order to create vibrant, natural health from within, has no understanding of what these concepts even mean. They're frauds.

Good place to go for fresh bulk spices. They are in glass jars, with a scoop, small bags, and a scale. I usually buy just enough to fill a spice jar so it's not sitting around for years in my cupboard. Nice staff.
