great pet store but they tried to recommend a 10 gallon tank for a hamster when the minimum is 450 square inches of space (55 gallons or 40gallon breeders) when i told her that was wrong she brushed me off and continued to give terrible hamster keeping advice. it’s honestly disappointing for a store to sell a pet and not give the best advice for the pet.

Being that we have 5 boys at home, we have guinea pigs, a hamster, fish, birds, lizards, a ball python, and a frog, I'm at this store often. The staff here is very knowledgeable and helpful. I truly like them way more than any "chain" pet store, as all the staff really care about all the little critters. And they do not "pretend" to know about an animal. If they are not sure they find out for you. Highly recommended!

A young lady took my call at 5:51 PM, and after telling her where I was calling from she was quick to say, " I'll get your crickets ready you come on and get them I won't leave till you get them. I showed up right at 6 PM and the lady was ready to take my cash. Now that is one example of going above and beyond because she didn't tell me to wait till morning, and, she waiting with order packed for me. Super kind young lady.

Not a huge selection. But you can find what you need here for your pets. Prices are fair. Staff are awesome. Thts the best part of the pet store is the staff!! Live animals Rodents, fish, birds reptiles etc.. And the in store bunny!! He's a big boy and kid friendly. Very awesome.

We went in with very special needs for finding a feeder for an underweight snake. We needed dense but not too thick. The girls working spent around 20-30 minutes with us looking through tons of dead mice until we found the perfect size. They didn’t complain and were super helpful! Came back a week later for a feeder for our other snake and they were super helpful then as well! We also bought my wife’s very first tarantula here! The gentleman that helped us was super informative and obviously knew his stuff! Only place around with isopods and springtails! We got some dairy cows super healthy and look adorable on our bioactive enclosures! Prices aren’t bad either we have been impressed every single time we’ve come in! Staff is friendly and will chat with us overly enthusiastic exotic animal lovers! I moved here only about 5 months ago from Virginia and they listen to my stories about the store I used to work with and help me feel a small slice of the life I left behind to be here with my wife! We can’t wait to spend more time (and money) there! Thank you ????

The most amazing people in the pet fishing industry. There simply AWESOME. Both mother and daughter team. Full of help and have expert advise. They simply are there to only help you and not to have you purchase the most expensive items they have. They want your tank to have live fish in it and not die so you'll have to spend more. I wish more pet fishing stores where like them. I will be driving the added km from Campbell River to them for any and all items I need for my fish tank. If you need help with your fishing tank please go to them. I was in there about a month ago with my son who's only two and half. We went in to buy a $9 bottle of safe tank additive. Well after speaking with them and looking around I decided to use them for our family second tank. Our first tank is a 10 gallon tank and we started our second tank of 50 gallons and all thanks to there helpful information I spent $135 that day. The new tank is now doing awesome and is ready for more live plants. We will be going there again today to get more items. Cheers, Rob

Not a fan. Their prices are double to triple of any other pet store. But that's OK. Cause they are the only store in town (no competition so you have to go there or drive an hour away. They don't carry a ton of products and don't do much when you ask about ordering. "We can only sell what our supplier gives us". Not a good business model.

Absolutely wonderful pet shop, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, even about rare pets such as chameleons and tarantulas. I've bought three of my tarantulas from here, and have been very very pleased. They always have what I need, and sell feeder insects - only place I know that does in Comox or Courtney. Definitely recommend!

This place caters to people who really love there pets. The pet industry often caters to anyone who wants to buy the product, pets and food they sell to make that possible. This center takes some precautions to feel comfortable about re-homing the pets they have to sell. I would recommend this store to anyone who is cautious when it comes to adopting new pets. They have the most natural salt water aquariums I have ever seen. I have visited this store many times and have asked to purchase fish that where in quarantine. They would never sell contaminated fish. They hold high regards to the trust there clientele has with them. This is a valuable and reputable pet store.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant! Easy to find location. The selection of supplies for being a suprizing small store is quite impressive! I find everything I was looking for to upgrade my Betta tank. The staff suggested things to do and not to do. They really do have the pets best interest at heart. They could've easily sold me more emails than I needed, but they knew it wouldn't benefit either the fish or snails. I will be taking the trip from Campbell River everytime I need fish supplies from now on.

Had a great experience! We wanted a male baby guinea pig so we called up first. I asked if they could send me some pictures which they quickly did and we called up and put one on hold. They were very helpful in the store especially the one who also said he had piggies and gave me lots of ideas and help purchasing what I needed. I also appreciated them asking if we knew how to bond this one with our other piggie, it shows they really do care who adopts their pets. I received great advice and care for him and I definitely would recommend this store.

Today I had the most disappointing experience here. I called this morning and reserved 4 goldfish to be held until this evening. I arrived at 2:30pm to watch the fellow infront of me purchase my reserved fish. The best solution to this unfortunate situation was to put my name on a list for next time they ordered. This is extremely disheartening. We will not be shopping here again.

This place is super rad. It was worth the drive. They make their own reptile starter kits (no Exo starters). They loved up on my dog. The fish tanks were clean. There was some unique items that I've never seen anywhere else. It was awesome to speak with staff that promote bioactive setups. I only wish you weren't so far away.

Insulting staff, do not go here! i came here to buy some food for some of my fishes and reptiles and the staff kept rushing me despite no one else being in the store, (must really have wanted to get back to their phone) and ended up double scanning a lot of the items despite me telling them that they may have, they insist that they dint and that everything will ring out properly. As it turns out on the receipt they did indeed double charge me on not 1 not 2 or even 3 but 4!! of my items resulting in a charge of $835 for an order that should have totaled $305. I noticed this right away and asked for a refund but despite me literally just being handed the receipt and glancing over it for mistakes for just seconds as its obvious the double charge, the employee said that they "can not process refunds that where made after the employee has left the till?" anyhow i am still waiting to hear from the manager about my refund.

They have a nice selection of tropical and salt water fish, lil bit of reptiles, for a mom and pop shop it is pretty good , staff are pretty knowledgeable. They don't really bring anything super exotic in which is kind of a bummer but at least it isn't a chain
