We love coming here for breakfast. The meals are big and hearty as you can see by the picture. This was the Big Country Breakfast and I couldn't finish it, which is odd for me. Can get busy on weekends so come early!

A lovely little market close to town with ultra friendly staff. Tons of local produce and meat. A stop here is a real treat in this age of big-box supermarkets. The little deli hosts more grade A local products and has a place to sit and enjoy a coffee or some of their famous fried chicken. I would highly recommend this market to anyone!

The burgers that the restaurant make are delicious. Everything is fresh and the bacon they use is smoked 2x, makes for a great burger. Also the staff here are real efficient and friendly. Definitely stop here on your way though town

Great Market! They carry local meat and eggs and it sounds like they're interested in carrying more local veggies too but they need the support of their shoppers. They have the best beef dip I've ever had which is saying a lot. Worth stopping in.

OK, some people think a sausage roll is just a sausage roll, but they're wrong! The curry sausage rolls at the Courtenay Country Market are to die for! And they are unique, haven't come across them anywhere else. The pastry is crispy and flaky, I think this is where the curry flavour is hidden, and the sausage filling is the best I've had, juicy, not too spiced, just great pork sausage. And so I don't forget, they smoke all their own sausage, their pepperoni is wonderful and their garlic sausage, ah... their garlic sausage is also a favourite. Definitely worth a trip, they are just north of Courtenay, across from the golf course. We live in Chemainus now but stop in every time we are back in the Comox Valley. No picture because we ate them all, sorry.

Awesome breakfasts! Bright lit market that is not like the average grocery store. I really liked their freshness and have visited many times over many years. This market has 2 for 1 meat specials, deli,fresh sushi & chicken. They also have a postal outlet and some speciality products. Its definitely worth your time to come visit with friendly knowledgeable staff and great service!

This place has an awesome menu, tons of breakfast options and a decent selection for lunch and dinner. They have a rotating supper special for every day of the week, which keeps things interesting. Price is unbeatable! The staff are super friendly and do a great job waiting on tables. Can't recommend them enough.

Grocery Store: Has some speciality items peppered in with fresh produce and a decent selection of pantry items. Usually stop by the drink section to pick up a craft beverage on my way out, always happy to stop by here! Restaurant: Staff was wonderful, cheery and funny. Food is amazing, little bit on the pricey side- but you pay for the quality and taste. ????

Usually good food but getting to be hit and miss here. Burger tonight was dry and tasteless. Fish and chips special was mostly good..but a tad greasy. Breakfasts are generous and tasty..will stick with that next time. Got to give another chance as have had some great food here.

I went with my wife for a late breakfast and not impressed at all. Staff didn't seem to know what was what from menu items to what we ordered or where we were seated. Wait time was close to 45 minutes before our food was brought out and lack of flavor. As we were waiting to pay there's no area to stand with out being in the staffs way or other customers plus it was painfully long as well. The main reason we would never go back is that I watched the cook grab raw meat put it on the grill then turned to his other dutys with out gloves on or washing his hands at all. Disgusting!!

have been going there regularly because i loved the place ... i just had a family member pass away and sat down for some comfort food when i was yelled at by one of the cafe employees for taking a menu before sitting down. I shook my head after sitting down and left in silence. This is a shame because this place used to be a favourite. ..... good food ... but a couple rude and angry cafe servers.

The market itself offers a few locally grown products from soap to eggs. The prices are reasonable to expensive. The best part is the cafe. They went through a rough patch trying to replace their cook but I think they're back to having good quality food for a decent price. The portions are big, the quality is good and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The downside is they're getting popular and their small kitchen can't keep up with the demand at certain times during the day or special events. Maybe try phoning ahead before going to make sure you dont have a long wait. They dont take reservations. Highly recommend the breakfast or lunch menu's.

Usually a fantastic meal, I've eaten here dozens of times with family and friends. Unfortunately my last experience here was HORRIBLE. My coffee was never refilled in a two-hour span, and the fries my daughter and I ordered were so salty as to be completely inedible. I notified the staff, who had no interest in replacing the fries or reducing the bill, which I found very disappointing. I don't think I will be dining here again, despite reasonably good experiences in the past.
