I ordered a simple crab cake, sauce on the side , it was delicious, crunchy and very tasty, not greasy at all. I felt like I had a little taste of being in Maine again! Ahhh ocean food... Went to the Monkland location and I got great service. Will go again it was take out only. I asked them to wrap crab cake in foil to keep it warm till I got home.

We tried this restaurant on a whim when hungry one afternoon. I was completely taken by surprise at how amazingly good the food here is. We sampled several iems from the menu, a few entrées, and two of the fish and chip batter types (London and Lemon fenil). Everything was very fresh tasting, with great flavour. The fish was nice and crispy and the side tartar sauce was tweaked to compliment the batter very well. The clam chowder is one of the best I've had in the city so far. The prices are spot on and fair for what you get. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxed, and the staff and owners are very nice and attentive. If your in the area you need to check this place out.

Sooooo good!!! The guys were both super nice and cooked our order up in no time at all. We ate in at the cute, clean stainless steel counter and both ordered the London classic fried fish and chips. Fish was crispy and light and yet filled us up just right after the BANG Bang shrimp appetizer and with the nice big fries! The guys forgot to give us our Churros but we forgot to remind them too, so our bad. We forgive them cuz they hit our experience out of the park! I’m sure they’ll give us some for free if we mention it next time. Four thumbs up from us!

I have a favourite fish and chips place in Cornwall Ontario but I really don't care for either fish nor for fish and chips. but a friend wanted me to try this place because he had been with me to the Cornwall place and everybody agrees that that crazy place is delicious, so we tried out this place and it is really quite good, so I would give it a 4 on fiveprobably because it would be better if they had more pleasant seating but basically it's just small tables and chairs in the middle of a food place that allows you to eat the food that you bought sitting down before you leave. when I go to a place to eat I want enjoy the pleasure of sitting down and there isn't any because it feels like you want to leave as quickly as possible and just eat your food and that takes away from the pleasure. Otherwise the quality is good and the choices are nice and throughout the store they have fresh fish if you want to buy fish. But I don't want to buy. so if I give this a decent rating it must be because the place is decent in food quality. And the two guys working there that run the place are pretty neat and very pleasant, even though it was busy.

Simple ingredients, done well. The fish and chips are the main attraction. Every component was just right. The cod was firm and juicy, the batter was crunchy, fries were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, the coleslaw was lemony and flavorful and the seasoning was just right. Definitely worth it.

The best fish and and chips this side of the pond. First time trying trahis place and and I am not disappointed. Amazing and hearty portion of food. The fish was cooked to perfection, not too greasy and the fries were clearly can cut and crispy. Only down side were the very overcooked churros.

I ordered the fish and chips for delivery at 7:30 pm. Arrived on time. The fish was great, crispy and hot. The fries were horrible; tasted like they had been sitting around for quite a while - limp and lukewarm. This is a take-out joint, so it should be making the fries fresh for each order - especially for the price they are charging. Will not order on-line for delivery from them again. I did enjoy the fish, so I would stop by for pick-up where I can make sure the fries are fresh.

I discovered them when I first moved to NDG and now I grab food there whenever I’m around Monkland and have a craving for Fish n Chips. I like their restaurant model where it’s almost a food stand. They’re so ideally located that it’s perfect to pick something up and eat at a park 1 min away in the summer. Their fried cod sandwich is great (and massive)

Amazing and quick service. Very accommodating. I ordered the half fish and chip with a vegetarian quinoa bowl. Generous portions for the price and very tasty. Maybe just a tad too much dressing in my poke bowl but still very delicious. I’d still come back and definitely recommend this spot. I’m giving it 4 stars because everything they use is disposable, cups, utensils and serving plate/bowl. (Owners, please change this!)

Found this place by accident and so happy that I did! Best fish and chips I’ve ever had in Montreal. Not overly breaded or too greasy, large enough portion and flavourful. The London classic is tasty but the lemon fennel is the best IMO. The fried pickles and po boy sandwiches are so worth a try!!

Very bold of them to open this business just a few steps away from Ye Olde Orchard, who makes one of the best fish and chips in town. I was quite pleased with my experience. The fried fish is perfect. Super crispy batter, well seasoned, and the fish itself is amazingly fresh and tender. I like that they chose to use large fries which allows me to taste the actual potato inside as opposed to just the oily crispy outside. A very 'honest' approach to fries. However, I must say I still prefer Ye Olde Orchard's fries, even though they went for the 'easy', fast-food approach of prioritizing crispiness. So all in all, IMO the best combo would be OFish's fish with Ye Olde Orchard's chips. But this is a review for OFish, and I am giving it 5 stars for the fish, which is the most important part of the fish and chips after all.

I agree with many other reviews that noticed the fries seemed old as if they were not made fresh with my order. The fish was nice, crunchy on the outside and nice fish on the inside. For 15$ the side order of calamari was disappointingly small and had a very chewy texture. We may try again when you can dine in so we see if delivery is the issue.

The owner is super nice. They have excellent service! For a picky eater I was very satisfied. The soup was great (with crab and something else), the calamari were good and the shrimps Bang Bang were ,wow, out this planet lol. I will definitely come back!! Every thing was made with great care, the sauces fresh and different, the potato fries sliced in a beautiful manner. They are big, yet the are slim so it cooks perfectly (great crunch).

They've only been open 3 weeks and this is the first time I try their food. We tried a few things from the menu, which is just the right size for a hole-in-the-wall restaurant menu. The London classic fish and chips was good, better than average. Certainly better than most irish pubs in the city. The Bang Bang Shrimps were also quite tasty and fresh. 6pcs/8$ or 12pcs/14$. The item that stole the show is the crab cake Po'boy. It was excellent. Took me back to a spot on the west coast where the crab is caught fresh. The prices are fair for seafood fast-food.

The crabcake PoBoy is arguably the best sandwich I have ever had, and that says alot. Its easily the best sandwich in Montreal, and was by far better than any of the PoBoys I had in New Orleans. The portion size is also very generous. I also highly recommend the fried pickles - I consider myself a connoisseur of those as well, and these are genuinely good.
