If you love smoked salmon and have never been to New Victoria fish market, I say to you what are you waiting for? He is by far the best smoked salmon I have ever had. It is sliced up fresh in front of you and best I can describe it is sushi grade smoked salmon.

My favorite place to buy fresh fish. They're Atlantic salmon from Scotland is the best in the city, and their homemade smoked salmon is awesome. note they don't take credit cards so make sure you bring a debit card or cash.

Sparse looking fish monger serves some of the best smoked salmon in Montreal. A bit off the beaten path, still very Metro accessible. Worth the trip alone for the huge samples they dole out. Don't even try and refuse the curmudgeonly but friendly old man behind the counter. He will insist you have some. The price was right ($20 a pound) and I'd go again in an instant.

This is a fish store with very few kinds of fish. Variety is not why you must absolutely go here. The reason you need to make a detour is the smoke salmon. Saying that it is good does not give it justice. It has a nice fatty taste that will change your definition of what smoked salmon should taste like. The rest of the fish is fresh but the smoked salmon is the show stopper.

Also they have Salmon, Norwagian Trout, Char and Mediterranean Bass always super fresh and the prices are really very good and they also carry other kinds depending on the season and the fishing day.

Some of the best fresh smoked salmon in town. I've been coming here since I was a child. Cuts are great, and the staff are super friendly. They give you samples of their smoked salmon as well as they cut for the customers. They go by weight and by price (ex: can I have 10$ of smoked salmon). We also buy trout, red snapper, halibut, bass and other great filets here.

The guy who works there is extremely rude. Last time my mother came into the store she didn’t buy much and the guy at the counter told her “ you driving a mercedez and that’s all you’re going to buy” my mother is not rich and the mercedez she drives belongs to me. Today she came into the store asking for something that they were out of, he told her “ we don’t have it come back tomorrow, Bye bye now” while making a rude go away gesture with his hands. Next time I will be the one showing up and I dare him to say something like that to me. Extremely Rude and has something against people who drive mercedez apparently. My mom is the nicest lady you can find and no she doesn’t have much money, your employee should be ashamed to treat anybody this way.

I usually dont give one star to any marcket or restaurants. This place is just awful enough that i have no excuse to give it a one star. The stuff there don't use gloves or wash their hands. After touching money at cashier, they touch your salmon. There are flies flying around. Judging by the color of their fish, you don't really want to know how long it s been sitting there. A lady bought 2 small slices of salmon enough for one meal and a tiny bit of smoked salmon. That costs her 55$. what a joke! The selections of fishes are very poor. Salmon and tuna and maybe 2 other kind of fishes and that's it. You can't find anything. I walked in this store asking them how much one whole baby salmon will cost.They say it's around 60 to 65 $. Then I told them I will check out other stores to compare the price a little. The stuff says:"In canada, we don't compare prices" then he pointed the door and say:"go, go"How in the world I m not allowed to compare prices In Canada and what the heck is he talking about. I was really offended by his gesture and offensive language. Never ever I will go back to this store again.

0 Stars is my Rating! I just called to get a quote on some fish as there was no answer to my emails. The person that answered was short and couldn’t care less about my business clearly. The website mentions delivery and menu being available online… well unless you are in the Côtes-des-Neiges area and can make it there during their opening hours, you are out of luck in finding out whether they have: King Fish, Grouper or Red Snapper… sad that in these times, customer service levels continue to decline in many areas … thank you New Victoria Fish for demonstrating that no new business/clients are needed!
