Excellent meat here and very good service from the staff who take the time to explain differences between items. Great products to go with the meat as well. The place is very clean and the opening hours allow for people to get there comfortably after work or on weekends. The only 2 points of improvement I would personally enjoy seeing are: 1- Updated opening hours on special holidays (the Google info was recently incorrect on this) 2- A greater variety of steaks such as for example Alberta AAA beef

5 stats for midweek guilty pleasure dinner! If you don’t feel like cooking, Maître Boucher’s permafrost dinners are the BEST. Delicious and filling. We usually get a few and freeze them for times when we “literally can’t even” make dinner. We also love their rotisserie chicken. Reserve it earlier in the day because they go FAST! Always a good selection of produce. They are quite good at featuring Quebec made products so you can feel good about buying local. Also great for unique upscale grocery items. One of the best places in the Village!

La seule améliorations a faire selon moi est la coupe du jambon , je demande tout le temps des tranches coupées moyennes pour que ce soit presentable dans une assiette et j’ai toujours des tranches très fines, les commis au comptoirs devraient montrer la première tranche au client pour voir si l’epaisseur est convenable. ;) Rien a dire sur le service:courtois, efficace et rapide. I used to be a very regular customer at Maître for years and years. I loved this neighbourhood spot for its exceptional quality and variety of meats, seafood & imported goods. However, ever since the store entered new management, and the owner left the business to his son, I have found that a once wonderful family-owned business is now a place I never plan to return to. The new owner is arrogant, has drastically increased the prices of goods, all while decreasing the quality (particularly in fruits & vegetables). I hope the management team seriously considers going back to their old business model. Your customers are intelligent people who have noticed these deceitful shortcuts. Trust me, I know others who feel the same way.
