I bought a beautiful orange budgie 6 months ago. I fell in love with it but he had health roblems from day 1...originally, the budgie had fleas. The store did not claim any responsibility. So I took care of the fleas. A few days ago he stopped singing and this morning, he died in my hands. It was as if his belly had exploded...it was black! I was attached to that little guy...he brought joy to our home. The store is not taking any responsibility. I do not recommend anyone to go to a Pet Store that doesn't care for the animals they are selling.

Bough my teen a $60 Green Finch exactly two weeks ago to keep our other Green Finch company. We found the new finch dead in the bottom of the cage this morning. At the time of purchase, the owner refused to give us a guarantee. I should have walked away! I had a horrible feeling about this place. I should have followed instincts and gone to Petsmart where that have a guarantee but they don’t sell Green Finches (only Zebra Finches). That’s why I went to Gveah. Big mistake! Avoid Gveah like the plague! You’re wasting your money and your kid will be devastated.

Best place to get dog tags engraved - cheap price (under $10) and they are deep engraved not laser engraved which makes them not rub off and last longer. They do it for you there within minutes, and the staff is very friendly. Grabbed some dog treats and toys while I waited. Will definitely be back.

I went in there many times for many years and I may have been asked two or three times if I need help and even if I said yes I got no help they would much rather play on their phones the only time a employee actually talked to me for more then a second was when I had my phone out writing down prices of fish the employee gave me trouble for taking pictures when I was not... I ended up going to pet smart because even with ringing the bell the employee stayed playing on his phone for the whole 15 min I was there.

Came all the way from Ottawa in search of a bird and did not leave disappointed! They had a wide variety to choose from, and the man was very knowledgeable, gave us a lot of tips in order to take care of our new cockatiel properly. We’re very happy, and excited with our new pet!

I went in yesterday and was looking at the rats, at first I was excited because they had a hairless rat but then came to realize that the rats in the cage were eating a dead rat... all it’s guts were out.... it was horrible. Told the “owner”(I think) and he didn’t seem concerned whatsoever and told his daughter and she was like oh yeah it’s totally normally, rats eat anything..... umm no they don’t. It was absolutely horrifying.

Love waking by and seeing the bunnies! They’re so cute and look happy all the time. They come right up to the cage and they’re friendly. They have a cute bird that flys around too, it’s so nice to see the animals are being loved. The people are so nice there.

The customer service is horrible. I recently went to the entrance of the store and was essentially thrown out because I was not going to buy anything and that my friend and I were just browsing. The man there was incredibly rude to us and we left even though we were at the entrance of the store for less than a minute. I would give this a lower rating but the one lady I met the time before this horrible customer service was better. She was very kind though she could not answer all of my questions. All in all avoid this store at all costs. Pet Smart or Stacy's Pet Depot would be a much better experience than this store.

Went there today to possibly buy a new pet. Wasnt aure what to get entirely since I didnt know what they had. Was confronted by a employee who very rudely told me i was not allowed to be in the store or look if i wasnt guaranteed to know what i wanted. I was then forced out of the store and told to leave. I did nothing. Said nothing rude. Just kicked out for not knowing 100% what I wanted and wasnt guaranteed to spend money there. Very disappointed do not recommend going here at all

Staff are extremely rude. I always park on the top floor of the parking garage of the mall, so of course I have to walk in through the doors upstairs. Every, single, time I go to the mall I am greated with ugly stares from the workers, on BOTH SIDES of the hall because they own both stores. I am also not aloud inside the pet store with my friends anymore, because I've expressed my opinions on their store countless times on multiple social media platforms over two years ago. Childish

Was in today and picked up 10 Discus. The young man was very helpful and polite. He answered all of my questions. Even the ones I asked twice. He gave me some great tips to get my fish home and in the aquarium safe and sound. He was wrong about one thing. He said the fish would hide for a week or two. When I put them in the tank they all hide in the back of the tank behind the driftwood. In less than 45 minutes most of them have come out and are having out in the front of the tank. They all look great! and so does the Pleco. I am very happy about the health of the fish. And extremely happy with the service I got.

Written by Alex. I went to the Cornwall Square yesterday to do some shopping like I've always done with my girlfriend, Jess. We decided to go to the pet store because she was having a bad day and animals always cheer her up. We were in the store for merely 5 minutes looking at everything that was available, when the owner gave Jess a strange look but we didn't think anything of it so we shrugged it off and kept looking. The first couple minutes she was going around with excitement saying "awe look at the Guinies they're so cute, look how tiny that one is!"(which is what she calls Guinea pigs) and how beautiful the beta fish looked, she was happy, she didn't do anything wrong, but as we made our way to the back of the store where they keep most of their fish the owner rushed over to Jess and started yelling at her about how this wasn't an investigation and she had no idea why he was saying those things to her. Jess has severe anxiety and panic attacks which make it very difficult for her to leave the home or socialize in public places. She started balling her eyes out in panic; 1. she didn't know what she did wrong. 2. She was very panic/overwhelmed from someone approaching her like he did. 3. the ignorance from the store owner. When I realized he was picking on just Jess I spoke up and told the store owner if he has a problem talk to me but instead because she can't communicate with others very well, he then turned to me and yelled shut the hell up. I told him to drop the attitude and leave her alone yet he continued to harass jess and myself, then accused us of things we never did saying we were taking photos when neither of us had a phone out or on us. He then yelled at us to get out and rudely rushed us out of his store and as he did I yelled out how terrible he maintains the animal cages and how he abuses them because I was very angry with how he treated my girlfriend. He then threatened to kick my ass (sorry for the language) if I didn't shut up and then continued to harass jess. The owner called security on us and band us from the store so we can never step foot in there again or he will charge us. We still don't know what we did wrong, but I wish I had said something about the threat because now I cant do anything. Long story short, it's never okay to approach customers and harass them for absolute no reason like he did. It's going to take a lot to get her out of the house again because she was emotionally distressed and she still hasn't calmed down from the incident. In my opinion if he's not going to treat customers or animals with more care/respect then he shouldn't own a store.

This place is awful! I bought a hamster and it had mites... poor thing, then when I went to return it they checked all of the other hamsters and they had mites to! They obviously don’t take very good care of their animals! This place should be shut down

The animals in the store are kept in poor conditions, I do not recommend even visiting unless you want to feel extremely disturbed and upset. An animal welfare organization should be contacted again until something is actually done.

I had a few questions about starting a new aquarium, and the girl working there tried to help me as much as she could even though fish was not her section, then she made sure to ask someone to guide me further rather than bullshitting and giving me inaccurate advice, like I have received from many other pet stores in the past.. also fish tanks looked great! They have very very unique fish that you don't see everywhere

Everytime I walk into this place and talk with the owners/employees I don’t understand why they could ever have any negative reviews. They are very nice hard working people who take care of the animals. There are many people who would agree with me but not everyone has the time or ability to review on the internet. The store is an absolute mess, cant tell which pile of excess supplies the bird chirps are coming from. Cages need a good cleaning, bettas are kept in round glass vases which is just sad. I went in looking to see what types of fish were for sale and had to walk past so much junk, that looked like garbage, before I got to the fish in the back of the store. There was a shelf system behind me as I looked at the fish, that I thought was just more junk, but it actually had more fish and small animals in amongst the junk. If they cant even care for the store to look decent, I dont even want to know how the rest of the animals are being treated...

Website says they are open so I drove 35 min with my soon to be 6 year old wjo all he wanted for his birthday was a hamster. We finally get there only to find a hand written sign saying they are now closed on Sundays! I check the website again to be sure I wasnt mistaken and sure enough it says it should be open. I have now wasted my time and gas and have a very upset child on my hands.

I've purchased many fish from this store, one of them being a black ghost knife fish. This fish is pretty tricky to keep if even if you are an experienced fish keeper. I purchased mine about a year and a bit ago, it was a baby and has now grown to be almost 2 feet long.. for this store to be able to keep such a temperamental fish in their tanks is proof that their water quality and knowledge is very good. Most people that lose fish within the first 24 hrs is due to shock from change of water, and I find many fish keepers in the area aren't familiar with the NITROGEN CYCLE of a fish tank. Most haven't cycled their tank properly, which is why the new fish dies. This is NOT the fault of the store nor quality of fish. This is the fault of the fish keeper not doing their research. I'd give 5 stars, but I do agree they are a bit pricey.. very good service however.

Bought 2 cichlids from this pet store, I noticed when I got home something was on one of their fins. I called to speak to someone 2 days later got the response "know one was there to talk to" So I called back to tell them they sold me a sick fish and the mother of the store said well if it dies within 24hrs to bring it back!" I asked her why your fishes you sell will die in 24 hrs she said Yes! There fishes are expensive....their is know knowledge at all only from maybe the son. I guess anyone can open a pet store. Awful customer service!

Wonderful pet shop. I like how they are not open for browsing at animals currently as a covid safety precaution - I feel safe knowing there isn't as many people going in for no reason and just to browse at the animals like previous times.
