I went here to Blue Anchor Restaurant in Cornwall for A Keystone Kops Shriners Lunch on Wednesday August 14th 2013, on my last Visit a week After I started taking the GO Train on my own in Toronto. It Was My Grandpa and I who were at the Keystone Kops Shriners Lunch, The Two of us went there on our own. That Was After I took the GO Train on my own during my 2nd week of my Last Visit in 2013.

Portions were a good size, service was excellent especially since they were short staffed. They were efficient and still happy even though they were very busy. Really good food and I would highly recommend venturing off 401 if you are passing through Cornwall.

OK guys, you list food pricing but I am having a tough time see beer pricing and I hate getting ripped off. I know you state "Prices are subject to change..." but give me a break. If your cost of beer went up 25 cents a bottle, there is soooo much markup in beer (a bottle runs about $1.50 at the consumer level at the Beer Store) yet you likely charge well over 300% profit so what difference does 25 cents make?

Nice location overlooking the Saint Lawrence. Was a nice atmosphere for lunch, however quite pricey and the bartender is the one who services you. Since the bar tends to have patrions, you'll get very little servicing. Overall the food was good, worth a one time visit.

Ambiance is the main reason for this summer destination stop after biking the Waterfront Trail. Typical pub food. The service was good, but lacking a bit on checking back on us for more drinks etc. We ordered the roast beef sandwich au jus with fries and slaw, the fried mussels and the shrimp caesar. My wife said the caesar dressing tasted like mayo....I don't think she was that impressed by the salad. The mussels were probably pre-made, quite a few were tiny pieces, mostly breading, but when you are hungry you tend to overlook. The roast beef was OK but lacked flavor and the au jus was out of a can as usual. Got a bit of grit in my slaw, but most of it was alright. Overall, maybe just a bit more observance on flavors would help the food. I suggest looking to the fish dishes if you go........

The Blue Anchor is in an idealic location. You can sit out on the patio and watch the river go by. The wait staff were pleasant, quick,and helpful. The staff alone made my trip there worthwhile. I can't fully judge the food as I have only had one dish: Philly Steak & Cheese wrap. The meat was tender and good sized bites. The wrap was fresh and tasty. The green peppers lught and crunchy. The only down side to this sandwich was the HP sauce. Now, I know Canadians love HP, but not on a Philly steak!!! They have Guinness, and that's a plus. All in all, a pretty decent lunch stop. I'd go again.

It is tough finding a good place to eat where your dollar goes far. Unfortunately, this isn't it. I have been coming to the Blue Anchor for decades, until Dimitri's opened down the road. Unfortunately after many years they are now closed. Being on the river is all very nice, but it does not add to the food experience, plus you have to listen to speedboats zooming by that sound like a race car. The food is OK but not plentiful. And to pay $28 for a jug of not beer but draught beer it a huge rip-off. Look, get some beer in bottles at Walmart. I get a case of 20 x 500 ml of really good Polish beer in bottles (Lezajsk) for $37.20; that is $1.86 per large bottle. Mark it up by 200% by selling it for $5.58 and I would consider that fair. I wish I could make 200%.

I was disappointed completely! After standing in line at my choice I was told that 2 tables in an area I requested to be in was being held for 2 groups of 6, I agreed to another table. Within minutes the other 2 tables were filled with a party of 5 and another party of 3. Strike 1. Then we ordered appetizer but had to practically beg for them. Strike 2. Our food was then handed over to us by rude waitresses that literally dropped the plates in front of us roughly and walked off. Strike 3.. the clincher was we never were offered refills or more ice or ANYTHING at all. We saw other customers being served before us, have nicer attitude given and refills constantly. Sadly, we felt it may be a thought that they felt we were not big tippers... SAD SAD mistake we are usually so generous its crazy! I do hope they figure out how to control the fly problem and if you watch them go IN & OUT that door with fresh plates and dirty dishes you will realize its a germ fest on that door handle.

We went in for a farewell party yesterday and ordered 2 fish and chips and 4 Perch rolls followed by another 2. Found a fruit fly which initially looked like mosquito. When informed and one of the platter was given back after a bite the owner came in with the same plate and told it should have been from the patio. Come on!!! With such a strong wind and actually it was a fruitfly I don’t really know why he thought like that. Looked so arrogant. Not a friendly man if he wanna run it longer. We gave back the plate and told we will pay. Never gave a new one!!!! Phewww u lost 6 customers all in one shot!!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend as you were certainly paying for the view and not the food. We each got two very regular platters of food one which was the Lancaster' perch roll platter $25 for 1 small perch roll and a handful of French fries. Let's just say you're paying for the experience of sitting on the water and not the very bland small portioned food. There are restaurants all over the place that you can pick up very good very well made food and sit by the water anywhere. Don't be fooled and pay overpriced prices for a patio on the water. Because literally that's all you're getting.

We happened upon this patio while out cycling on Sept 3rd 2020. We were very happy to see they seem to be taking Covid-19 precautions seriously. Beautiful riverside views. Food was good! I got a BLT and my dad got fish and chips. I would recommend and we plan to return. The respect of Covid-19 restrictions is really important to us - thank you Blue Anchor!

Visited on February 17. Everyone ordered either the perch rolls or fish and chips. Order came quick and was delicious from the first bite to the last. Only one waitress was working and she was hustling around seating, serving, and cleaning. Restaurant was clean and safety policies were in effect. The only thing that could make it a better experience would be dining outside in the middle of July!

Great combination! Awesome view, and great food. Arrive early, this place gets busy even though they have a decent size outdoor and indoor dining space. Watching boats and marine life as you eat is an added bonus. Prices are decent, and portion sizes are good. We stuck with their seafood offerings, but they have other typical pub fare that looked great. Definitely worth a look if your in the neighbourhood or just out for a drive as many bikers seem to do.
