Very disappointed, the first time I bought fish from them I added them to my already established tank and the fish I bought had ick and killed all but three of my fish even with treating with ick medication. I waited about 6 months and decided I’ll try one more time. And boy was that a mistake.. I checked the fish I was purchasing and I did not see any ick so I decided to go ahead and buy, low and behold 4 days later my tank is infected with ick again!! And has now killed 3 of my tetras.. so I’m doing treatment again... I go down to the store to have a look at their fish and ask them if they are treating there tanks for it, and what do I see 4 fish tanks with ick. At this point they will no longer be getting my business and I will not recommend them, how can they respectfully sell sick animals and ask us customers to come to them for their expertise and trust our aquariums with them if the can’t with their own? Very very disappointed.

I love this store! Every time I go it there I'm welcomed by super friendly and helpful staff. I love that they have a vast variety of dog foods. I think it was one of the groomers who helped us out telling us all about the different foods and their qualities. I had my long haired shih tzu with me and her hair was down in her face so the helpful groomer gave us a bow so she could see. It was very sweet and left an impression. Also they have the coolest beta fish around I've looked at a ton of other pet stores and never found as many as here I just went in the other night and they had dumbos and crowntails really pretty colored ones! I would have got one but I had just just bought one from down in the states, wish I had known there were cool ones right in my own town. Its always a danger for me to go there because I want to buy all the goodies and doodads for my pets, anyway. Keep up the good work Mr. Pet's employees, great costumer service you put a smile on my face.

Very orderly. Easy to find what ever your wishing for. You can put on the item your buying up to 10 times I believe (however I maybe wrong on how many times you buy the item) and get your next purchase free. My only complaint is the parking. Each stall in front of the store are very skinny. There's a danger of dinging the vehicle beside you.

Decent stock of all your pet needs, they had adoption day for black dogs when I went. Our dog is quite large and they have good prices vs Bosley where we had to pay around $10 more for the same bag (accana large breed). Staff was friendly and helpful to us. Would recommend they move bulk dog treats up from the floor as my dog may have stolen from it without my notice

To the average person this place looks nice. But to someone who knows what actually good quality care looks like. This place does not meet the mark. Skeletons in multiple fish tanks, tanks with not enough water, reptiles with health conditions and much more. Most of the rodents aren’t even labelled correctly. Please spend your money elsewhere.

Every single time I walk in to Mr Pet's, I am greeted with a cheerful welcome and offer to assist if needed. I wish all retail companies made you feel that way when you walked in!! They have the most friendly and helpful stuff I've ever seen in a pet store. There was a dead Hamster in the tiny glass display case. Beta fish displayed super low down, low enough for children to touch and grab them when their parents aren't looking. I feel bad for the staff as they are super short staffed, to the point where it took 10 minutes for me to wait in line, just to discreetly tell them about the dead Hamster.

Went to look at Aquarium plants. Such a dirty display. I didn't purchase any. Many of the fish tanks were also dirty with dead moldy fish and fish eating the dead fish. It smelled bad in the store, like dead fish. I am sure, like so many other businesses,they are short staffed but when animals are involved there should be no exceptions with their care and cleanliness. Walked out without purchasing anything. BTW I am not in the habit of giving one star reviews,this is probably my first! The more I think about this,the angrier I become. If this was the situation with dogs or cats or Guinea pig etc I am sure the BCSPCA would be involved. Perhaps they should be notified because after reading other reviews I am not the first to notice or comment about this.

Staff are friendly but the manager, Jacquie, is rude and unprofessional. The stores loyalty program managing needs some work as we were told multiple different ways of tracking the 12 + 1 deal. We have bought 3 bags of cat food and none of them where even in their system. The manager implied that it was a long process for her to put our bags of cat food into the program- we brought our receipts in for proof of purchase. In the end our bags of cat food have been entered but, it included lots of rude remarks/comments and sighs from this manager. Too much confusion here and it was an overall bad experience. We will be taking our money elsewhere. We will be letting our friends and family know of this.

Mr. Pets has good selection for your general small pet, dog, and cat supplies, but I come here mainly for aquatics. There aren't a whole lot of fish vendors in Chilliwack so in terms of what's available around here, Mr. Pets has a decent selection of stock. Recently I've purchased stock on two occasions and both times I really appreciated that the staff were very honest about any questions I had (such as: were there any recent outbreaks of fish illness in the store etc). Sometimes their fish stock looks pretty good, but sometimes the stock looks awful. (In comparison, the fish at PetSmart more often look unhealthy than healthy so as far as disease control goes, my vote goes to Mr Pets between the two.) There will be times you stop by hoping to purchase, but it's just better to hold off until they have their diseases in check. Make sure you take a good hard look at the fish before you make a purchase to ensure they're healthy!! Prices are usually fair but it might still be worth your while to price shop. Some species are almost double the price of PetSmart but others are cheaper. As far as Chilliwack goes I wouldn't necessarily say I recommend Mr Pets over the other choices, but I'd still say they're worth checking out.

Sorry for asking where your dog cages are... spoke to two employees and both where very rude. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Petsmart, better prices too!

workers are knowledgable and helpful, but management needs major improvement. recently got fired from a misunderstanding because management wouldn't be reasoned with. watch out for the old man. management creates a very stressful, toxic work environment, because you can get fired for doing tasks in the wrong order. re: It's not what i wanted to do, I was keeping a schedule. a schedule that I was asked to keep. Also, there was no real discussion. orders were given without any understanding of what actually has to happen. the schedule was discussed with the department head.

Absolutely beware of their live plants for your aquarium. I didn't even introduce fish yet and I already had 100 invasive ramshorn snails and 500 detritus worms from their plants. I literally have to restart my aquarium after a month of cycling it all because they have a cesspool of a live plant tank.

Took my daughter there to look at the pets and raise her awareness and attachment to animals in general. Asked if we might meet some of the adoption animals and the girl I spoke to said in a rude tone "unless you are going to adopt one now then no!" I believe it is the bond you make meeting these animals that sways you to adopt as well as already intending to know the responsibility of owning said pet.

I used to come here all the time until my last visit. They have a middle aged woman who is very rude and belittling to the staff she works with. The staff look very stressed and the work environment is anything but friendly. This women needs to be fired for how she treats customers. She speaks over them with a harsh tone, and very condescending. Not approachable and makes snarky remarks when you ask her questions. I'd gladly pay a higher price at boselys at least I know I would be treated with respect.

The lady we dealt with was extremely rude. She was not helpful in finding a solution for housetraining our puppy. She basically told us that our dog will always pee inside the house because she has poodle in her and that she had poodles that were never fully housetrained. I bought what I thought would work, but returned it only because I thought I didn’t want to support this business and went to Persmart and Bosley’s and was treated much better. Not going back.

This store does not care for its animals:( The fish are always covered in ich (little white dots all over the body) or fish floating dead in their tanks. This is so sad considering the amount of beautiful fish you have in this store, if only they were cared for properly. The female employee with glasses and dark curly hair who I typically see in the fish department, is extremely rude, and really lacks customer service skills. I have seen/witnessed these experiences over time and just cannot stand this store anymore! Please care for your animals better and please teach your employees proper customer service skills!???? Save your time and money (this place is so overpriced) and choose literally any other pet store in town!

Was there buying fish food and a staff member saw that i was a bit at sea (pardon the pun) so he took the time to ask about my fish, tank size etc and made a great recommendation for me. Good Job!

I go here to get mine and my parents dogs nails cut and the girls there are so good with them, our old dog had really bad hips and they always got on the ground to do her nails, so sweet!

Well stocked store with a phenomenal staff. Always friendly and very helpful. Shout out to the ladies in the grooming department who were great with our pup Ryder who went in to have his nails clipped for the first time. I'd highly recommend this store to anyone . ????

My friend and I were there today and were treated like absolute garbage by the older woman at the till. There was a price discrepancy on one item, and when I pointed it out she was super rude about it and acted like it was a complete inconvenience for her to adjust it. The staff member was entirely unprofessional and openly hostile with us for the duration of our transaction. I feel bad for the rest of the staff here, it feels like a toxic work environment. I liked the convenience of shopping here as I could come after grocery shopping, however my pet supply needs will be met at another pet store from now on.

Amazing service, friendly attitude. Was in there yesterday, which I have many times before…. Today was looking a jacket for my pug. The girl who helped I believe was a manager of some type, was friendly, kind, and helpful …. And the wasn’t the first time. She was kind to the staff around her and to me and my furbabies, (Only had one of two with me). I appreciated the knowledge time a d care. Will definitely be back!!!! (Wish I had caught her name)

Went here yesterday to pick up a power head for my fish tank. First time being here since it became Mr. Pets. Looks like the old store inside. Staff helped me right away and I was out the door so quick, I went back in just to look around.

Terrible service. The last few times I've been in The older lady is rude and becomes argumentative. A lot of the staff dress like slobs not professional looking at all. Worth the trip across town to PetSmart. Went in today to give them another chance after the manage posted that the older lady was gone. Another disapo time t paid for my crickets and the cashier went into helping the next client before going to get my cri let's. Still awful customer service. Will not be giving them anymore chances

We were in the store browsing for dog beds, and after 15 minutes didn't get greeted or have any service whatsoever. Shared less than a dozen words with the cashier when we purchased a bed. Bed was nice tho.
