Easy to notice that they use fresh oil and keep it clean for deep-fried foods, and I've never had fries that tasted fishy. I would recommend trying Austin's fish and chips if your ever near by

An average fish and chips spot. Fish had a nice crispy batter and the fries were thick cut , both which were not overly greasy. The lunch special for around $8.50 for a 1 piece halibut and fries was a sizeable amount for a meal if your craving fish and chips but don't want to over indulge. You could add an extra piece for $2. The pieces of fish was bigger than I expected which is a bonus.

Our Favorite F&C in Chilliwack. Service is always friendly and fast. Batter is more traditional than C Lovers, who use tempura. Austin's tastes more like British style beer batter. We also had deep fried mushrooms. Along with our Guiness beer, we had a great meal!

Probably the best fish & chips around in the Fraser Valley! I have to agree with "Dangerous Dave" regarding service. Otherwise very nice spot for the food and they don't pound their fish paper thin like some other fish and chip restaurants cheaping out. Nice batter and great prices too. We will keep going back and hope the service matches the food quality eventually :)

Fish & chips like I am used to back in NZ and some of the best fish & chips I've had in Canada. Fish is lightly battered and cooked perfectly. Fries that are on the thicker side, not quite chips, but again cooked correctly. Will be going back.

We ordered 2 dinners of 2 piece cod ...the batter on the cod was nice, the cod was just ok...pre frozen I'm guessing. The fries were just ok....taste of old oil and they were all end pieces....there wasnt one full size fry between the two orders. All in all, a disappointing experience ! J.L.

Consistently excellent fish and chips! They use a tempura batter, so the fish is light and crispy and doesn't get soggy. It also reheats very well. Fries are fresh and house-made. Most coleslaws that come with fish and chips are pretty terrible, but the coleslaw here is clearly house-made. Fast service and very reasonably priced (less than $10 a person).

Ordered a couple of days ago, June 30th had 3 X oysters, Zucchini and the Calamari. Fish & ships have always been good, so decided why not try some else I like as wasn't in the mood for fish & ships.. Oysters and Calamari where diffitnately over cooked..Zuccinne was was a weird mush taste..They were absolutely disgusting!! Pretty well the meal went in the garbage..Too bad always enjoy eating there..Forgot to take pics sorry..

Found this place by chance passing through Chilliwack, my partner & I are so glad we came here. The cod fish n chips was so fresh, the batter was light and crunchy. The coleslaw was so good, a must have accompaniment to the meal. We also got the calamari too and it was yum. Love this place

I’m new to town, was first time to Austin’s and definitely will be back. What a great find! If you want to be trendy and eat at a pub, get overpriced food that isn’t worth it, so be it. Silly, but your choice in the end. Sad. If you’re a normal human and want exactly what you’re craving, Austin’s is it. Zero disappointments. Very well priced too!

We were on the way home to Vancouver from Harrison and family decided to drop by this place for good old Fish and Chips. Wow, AYCE Cod & chips for ~$15? Unbelieveable value! especially coming from Lower Mainland. Food was great too. The fish (Cod) hot and toasty, had a nice crunch and fish had good texture. The fries were excellent too. Crispy on the outside and slightly molten on inside. Hands down these were FAR better than the tourist traps found in Richmond Steveston area. Would definitely come back next time we're in the area!

The fish and chips are excellent and the prices are VERY reasonable. Unfortunately the place needs a DEEP cleaning!! There's pop spilled on the wall under the first booth that has been there for months and the bathroom floor is so sticky that you fear losing your shoes. I suggest to the owners that you hire a professional company to come and clean the place from top to bottom. I can live with the outdated decor but if the dining area is this dirty, what does the kitchen look like?!

The best ever fish and chips I had. Amazing! Everything here is great, simple and lovely. The food is great. I ordered the seafood combo and was a great choice. The lady who served us was so nice and friendly as well as the chief. I stoped by on this restaurant by chance on my way to go back from Vancuver to Calgary. And was a great change to taste this lovely seafood. I highly recommend having a meal at this lovely simple restaurant.

I love fish and chips it’s my favourite thing and Austin fish and chips is no exception. Their batter is great and their fish is awesome and I love their fries. I ordered here the other day and got a specialty two person meal with chicken strips on the side and our family loved it. Some people don’t like the tartar sauce but I know many people who love it and won’t go anywhere else for it in fact I have a friend who used to go there to get tartar sauce specifically and then he would order food as well so he could get tarter sauce. Would definitely go back.

we stepped inside Austins, and were asked to pick our own seat, but the majority of the tables were not cleared. We had no choice but to sit at a table in the middle of the room, which had been cleared but not properly cleaned as it still had food debris on it, and had a direct view of the washroom whose door was wide open. We ordered one Cod fish & chips and two Pollock All You Can Eat which was on promotion. We ordered two Cokes with no ice but they arrived with ice. We thought everyone made mistakes, no need to make it difficult for the waitress. When we paid the bill, the waitress charged us for two Cod All You Can Eat instead of two Pollock All You Can Eat. The waitress then said to us that she didn't mention to us that Cod All You Can Eat was on promotion, so she ordered Cod All You Can Eat for us instead of Pollock All You Can Eat. We were fully aware that the fish we had was Pollock and not Cod. Make sure what you order is what you pay for. During our lunch, the waitress allowed outsiders with no masks to use the washroom. This seems risky during the pandemic.

Had take out. Covid has no dine in allowed. Had 2 piece cod and chips and 1 piece halibut and chips. Both were really good. Only knock was no cole slaw. It's typical with fish and chips so thought it would be included. Otherwise it was really good.

In the heart of Chilliwack, you will find one of the best fish and chips restaurant in BC. Of all the highly rated F&C restaurants in the lower mainland, I often find their batter soggy. But that’s not the case at Austin’s F&C. Their batter is crispy and the fish has perfect firmness. The chips are fresh and crispy. The staffs are friendly as well. Best of all, the prices are cheap and you will get your money worth.

We get it, fish and chips are a staple of coastal areas. But this place offers more than just the standard fare. It offers specialties from Southeast Asia include takoyaki octopus balls, cheese fish cakes, and ebi mayo. Plenty of appetizers and different seafood options too compared to other fish & chip shops. Definitely worth a try if you want something a little different.

Pretty good fish and chips! Been here a couple of times and gotten the halibut each time. Fish is tasty and not to greasy. The fries are pretty mediocre. Sometimes comes with coleslaw, sometimes doesn't... weird? The coleslaw has a unique almost fruity taste to it. Price is comparable to most fish and chip places.

This was, without a doubt, the best fish & chips I've had in a very long time. We all ordered 2 piece cod dinners and the pieces of fish were so big and so delicious, we all ate our fish and coleslaw, and had no room left for the really good fries.... Next time one piece cod & chips. Super nice young couple, own and run the place, and needless to say, the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be our #1 go to for fish & chips!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Its really good. The best fish and chips I've ever had and completely consistent. I also like the large amount of tartar sauce available. The woman who owns it seems to work up front a lot and is very accommodating. They've made it through covid with all the authoritarian and constantly changing rules which is a miracle for most restaurants. They do a ton of takeout. I was sitting there on a Tuesday which is normally a slow day for restaurants. Every table was full of at least two people and most had 3-4. I watched through the curtain as they made meal after meal and heard the dinging door buzzard as more and more delivery guys came in. It was incredible. Busy for a reason. Its a must try.

After reading a few reviews that raved about this place we decided to give it a try. To say disappointed is an understatement,the fish was terrible. The oil needs to be changed the fish tasted like burnt toast. The tartar sauce tasted like miracle whip with a couple of chunks of dill mixed in. The fries were the best thing and the were just ok.

Wow! I can't believe this restaurant has no reviews. I had never been and my son suggests we go as he'd been before and liked it. The service is great, the food is made fresh and hand cut fries very tasty. What more can you ask for when you have a hankering for fish?. Swung in a few weeks later on the way home for a single take out order. Wrapped in news paper my meal was still hot upon my arrival. Only thing missing, was the Slaw. I will be sure to add a order of this next time. Plan on taking my parents there very soon. Pleasantly surprised.

Used to be great. Heard it was under new management and no good recommendations. Will try again just to see if it is still as good as I remember. Stay tuned.

Ate there yesterday after reading and hearing first hand excellent reviews. I don't know how fish and chips could get any better. I've eaten at another popular fish and chip restaurant chain we all know which is still good but doesn't measure up to Austin's. I had All You Can Eat and after my initial pieces, the next pieces I ordered were just as big - as in huge. Very thin, crisp batter with skin on crispy fries with absolutely no oily residue on the plate. Tarter sauce is delish. Everything was a 10/10.

Excellent location . plenty of free parking Well worth the wait. . Professional staff Friendly service Wait times are high on weekends. $$$ moderate to expensive but the food is incredible the drinks great selection . Make a reservation Customers are all treated professionally and in a timely manner .
