As a Windsorite used to dealing with the Windsor Home Depot stores, I was SHOCKED AND AMAZED at the Chatham Home Depot Location! O M G!! The people working there were HELPFUL, SMILING and COURTEOUS and showed ACTUAL INTEREST IN OUR QUESTIONS! We were asked "May I help you?" by at the very least 5 different people. Usually when we need someone to help us at the Windsor locations it is a serious hunt to find someone who won't brush you off and give you attitude for daring to ask something. I am not exaggerating when I say my husband and I were seriously almost in shock upon discovering that bad service at Home Depot was not necessarily the norm and we discussed it in awe. We are "power users" lol of Home Depot and have completely renovated 2 homes now spending tens of thousands at the Home Depot stores in Windsor and our visit to Chatham Home Depot blew our minds. We will be making the drive to Chatham in future!

The experience can be meh. I mean, sometimes there will be what you need, other times it can be nearly impossible to find. Even if the item you are looking for is something related to what you already bought at the store or bought before. So, it can be hard to track down a specific item. Browsing is fine I guess.

My experience at the chatham store was excellent, the staff not only knew what I wanted, they walked me to the aisle that it was located in, and the guy helping me even found me my product on sale at the clearance table! Maybe the lady who had a problem with plumbing should have written the sku # down and brought it with her, or looked it up on one of the store computers?

This experience was good, kitchen cupboards, the lady who we worked with made it easy showing us the layout on the computer, ordered all the stuff we needed that was great, got delivery but the guys only drop it off in driveway... I was disgusted with the lack of price information (cards hanging on racks) when you are trying to get ideas of what you are going to spend. 3 days for an online order of in stock items and still it is not ready to pick up. This was supposed to save time, not increase it. Will not be using online services again and will likely go to another place to purchase my items. Very disappointing lack of communication or justification for this.

Never have what I want. If they do have it, it's over priced. Service is terrible. Staff standing a round not helping customers and if you do ask for help they act like your inconveniencing them. Large staff turn over. Not knowledgeable.

To whom this may concern, Today has been a disappointment. My wife and I bought a GE dishwasher from Chatham Home Depot and had it delivered this past week. When plumber came to hook it up, we were missing the connection piece that attaches the dishwasher to the hose that hooks into the main water line. I had been to another store already, given the "standard" size of attachment and sent on my way. Only to find that the dishwasher is indeed, NOT standard. Okay, no problem. Go back to the other store to find that they do not carry anything smaller than the standard dish washer hook up. So, off we head to Home Depot, at the exact location we purchased the dishwasher in Chatham. Explained the situation to an employee, who proceeded to take us to the plumbing aisle and get ahold of someone from that department. When we spoke to the plumbing department attendant, we were told that standard is standard and ALL dishwashers use this to hook up. Well, no. We explained that we had already tried a standard size, and it did not fit. We were told it must be something in our house that is wrong, again, we said no. The line is still hooked up to the house fine, we needed a smaller attachment to connect it all. We said that we had bought this model there a couple of weeks ago. They literally had the model on the floor. So back to the appliance department to be spoken to in a condescending a rude manner by the appliance employee that, we were wrong, all dishwasher are hooked up with standard materials, and was tossed a bag of dishwasher hook up equipment that, you guessed it, was STANDARD size. We said, we have tried standard size, it does not fit. They would not believe or take our word that we had tried the standard size without success. We literally had to get the appliance employee to open the package to see for himself that it doesn't fit. We had been there for 20-30 minutes at this point. So they go over to the appliances, and are looking and inspecting NOT the model I had told them we bought, but a cheaper model. They did not believe that that was the model we had bought, they had to look it up to "be sure". So then it was time to finally see if this standard attachment would fit (I had actually tried the piece approximately 20 minutes prior on the actual floor model, saw it did not fit, told the employees, they did not believe me, and had to do it themselves.). And lo and behold, it does not. So off he goes to the plumbing section to find a smaller piece, which at this point, we had asked for well over 40 minutes prior. In the end, after almost an hour, we had determined exactly what we had been saying at the beginning - we need a piece smaller than standard for the dishwasher YOU sold us. Apparently, either GE was supposed to give us the part or Chatham Home Depot, once again, has dropped the ball and selling appliances that they do not have parts for them to even function. What is totally baffling is that, had no other customers come in for the missing piece of the dishwasher HOME DEPOT sells? Or, were they too, tossed a bag of "Standard" equipment and told to make it work? Either way, we spent an hour in Home Depot while an appliance employee tried to prove us wrong. This whole situation could have been avoided if your employees had taken the time to listen to what we had to say and taking our word for what we needed, instead of trying to prove their point and prove us wrong. Completely unprofessional and turned a 10 minute situation into an hour long event. Thank you for your time.
